• Janette (9/5): Views and an adventurous bike ride to Wanaka - Comfy and amazing view. Loved the cooking facilities and washing machines. No salt and pepper. Duvet was too hot for us. A summer weight blanket would be really helpful

• Cheyne (7/5): Recently renovated unit, low to mid end with average views but too pricey per night - Nice spot with half decent view of lake Upon arrival, whilst unit had been cleaned, dirty rags were left in kitchenette sink. There was plenty of tea however no coffee, which was a bummer.

Didn’t worry me as I don’t like continental breakfast. Tea and sugar but no coffee and no milk. No shampoo supplied unless you count the soap pump.

• Ralf (7/5): There were things we liked and things that could have been done to make us more comfortable. - The size of the apartment is very good. The view from the apartment to the lake was lovely. The ability to do clothes washing was an extra bonus. There is covered parking. A big balcony covered In morning sunshine and quite usable if the weather is not too cool. If looking for a quiet place this is it. The bed is comfortable with a large chest of draws for storage as there is no closet. A decent bathroom with room for toiletries. You own toiletries as none are supplied. The heating system is tricky and difficult. The host should have instructions placed in the apartment on how to operate. There are several keypads on the wall and it difficult to figure out what operates what. Even after discussions with the host it was difficult to maintain heat in the apartment. Which was needed. Also the tv channels were abysmal. Not much to watch. There is a modern kitchen in the apartment that could be better kitted out. The lack of proper kitchen utensils made cooking more difficult. Putting the odd trivet on the counter top to protect it from hot pans would help. And a bread knife for goodness sake. There is no service of the apartment for towels etc.

• Linda (5/5): Luxurious disappointment. - Modern roomy appartment with reasonable views. Good security and laundry. Close to Lake Wanaka. The bed was very firm, no extra blankets or electric blanket. Very limited kitchen utensils for cooking. Used the oven but had to stop cooking due to toxic smell and had to throw away the food. Lack of manuals for heating, oven and TV. No hand towels or body soap. Advertised as breakfadt included, I would not call a small jar of muesli for two people over three days breakfast.
