- Gianluca (8/5): Your stay in Cinque Terre with a view right on the sea from above - Volastra is a special location, right above Cinque Terre. And with that, a beautiful landscape and panoramic walks just follow. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. There’s a tiny spiral staircase to climb to be able to reach your bedroom from the kitchen downstairs. Not a problem for us but worth noting that. The staff was just not the type of hosts who make you feel welcome to their place, so to say. Examples include: the complete lack of information provided ahead of your stay, but many reminders of what not to do as well as when to check in/out and how much the city tax is are given in advance. The property has discounts to visit cinque terre, but they’re not particularly bothered to share them in advance for some reason. It just felt very transactional to stay there, check in.. pay.. check out.. not a question about how our stay was or what activities we did. Which, for a guesthouse, I would say it’s standard to at least offer or to the minimum, ask.
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely property in a great location for Cinque Terre. - Breakfast was supplied across the way in the hotel which was very close. Apartment was fantastic and gave us space.Parking was communicated to us in advance and they came to meet us to show us where it was which was helpful. Because the electricity turns off when you leave the property it means items in the fridge doesn't stay cold. Just to be aware that the spiral staircase is very narrow.

- Frances (8/5): Excellent apartment in beautiful village - Decorated to a high standard with quality furnishings. Bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom was compact but sufficient. Shower was excellent and very powerful. Plenty of towels available. There was a little garden outside for guests to use and it was lovely sitting there morning and evening. The village of Volastra is small and quaint. We enjoyed greeting the locals. There was a mini supermarket and we got takeaway sandwiches there to eat after we had hiked a while. They were superb and kept us full until dinner. Visited the vineyard for a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down. Ate in the village 3 nights. 2 in L'Arcobaleno. Food was superb but be aware you have to go with the flow. The menu is on the board which you have to choose from and order. You won't get a menu at your table. Service is laid back and slow. The prices were very reasonable for the portion size. Also ate in
Locanda Tiabuscion
Another excellent menu. The fish soup was the best I have ever tried. Busier than the other smaller resteraunt but service was excellent. We used the bus service to Manarola back and forth. A little hit and miss so if you're timing is important, as in getting to the airport, I suggest you go on an earlier one in case itis delayed. If I visit Cinque Terre again, I would plan to stay in Volastra again...it was beautiful. Do look at the pictures of the apartment and check the stairs will be suitable for you as they are very narrow. A teatowel would be good in the kitchen.
- Jacek (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and well arranged apartment.
- Miroslav (10/5): Very nice acommodation - Great service, very kind owner and staff, delicious breakfast, clean and comfortable room Nothing, everything met expectations
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Giglio guest house far exceeded our expectations, so much so that we extended our stay one additional night. The hosts were wonderful! From suggestions and best tips to get around to great service during breakfast while we overlooked the never ending ocean. We 110% recommend this beautiful little escape to anyone visiting the Cinque Terre area.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - amazing views, great breakfast
