Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): - Everything was perfect! Nothing that I didnt like
- Lois (10/5): Great stay! - Really good idea. Great for dogs, enclosed garden and properties not next to each other, good if your dog is reactive to other dogs Temperature control is a little tricky but to be expected
- Tracey (10/5): Loved our short break in The Mud Hut. Location was great and cabin very clean and comfortable. The host, Bob, was lovel - The location was perfect for a relaxing break. The cabin was spotless and very comfortable. Nothing, everything was great.
- Callum (10/5): -
- Shelley (8/5): A tranquil quirky property. You could be anywhere.. - The location was open fields with some friendly donkeys, Shetland pony and sheep, popping up for a carrot 🥕 very unusual converted container accommodation. Very cosy, lovely views from all the rooms. Even with the driving rain, surprisingly well sound proofed. A lovely little garden for dogs. Space for zoomies! Bob was an attentive but unobtrusive host. An enjoyable quirky place with a hot tub available! No dishwasher or washing machine, not enough space for them, but that’s a really small thing!
- Darren (9/5): Relaxing, perfect and we didn't want to leave. - Bob, she was a great host. Great location, home from home atmosphere. She had made the environment relaxing. My daughter loves animals. Bob had Donkeys, a dog and sheep all of which were just as friendly as her. We fed the donkeys each day and enjoyed the stunning view from the hot tub every evening after exploring the great surrounding villages. A great touch was the documented visits by other guests, all of which had great reviews, and who wouldn't, it was great. A must stay, you won't be dissapointed. We also had a great, unexpected end to our stay. There were fire works which my daughter and I enjoyed from the hot tub. 👌

- Kelly (10/5): Amazing from start to finish, we wish we booked longer! - Bobs property at Myrtle is beautiful. From start to finish we had the best time. The property is spotless, lots of room for us and our dog, and the hot tub is an amazing touch, with views of the field and animals. The property is very private and has everything you could need for your stay.
It was easy to find and has on site parking for our car.
We was even left milk and Fresh eggs!
The bed was extremely comfy and Bob was very responsive for any queries we had/ making sure we had settled in fine.
The location is amazing and a close drive to all the villages we wanted to visit. There was an information pack left by Bob with must do things/ recommended restaurants and walks which was very handy.
Bob is a great host and we will absolutely be back. Nothing
- Jordan (10/5): - Beautiful setting with lovely villages nearby to explore. Quirky accomodation which was really homely and comfortable. The beds were so comfy, we really enjoyed and was great with 1 year old. We loved seeing the stars at night and seeing the donkeys up close each morning. Bob, the host, was lovely and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We will be staying again and recommending to all of our friends.
- Mark (10/5): -
- John (10/5): A very clean, comfortable and unusual place to stay. - We were only there for two nights and it was really comfortable with everything we needed was there. It was a really unusual place to stay being made out of three shipping containers and was one of the nicest places I have stayed in. I would certainly recommend staying there to anyone. The only issue was a party close by that was very noisy. Not a fault of the property though.
- Rachel (8/5): We had a great stay - Everything we needed Family of four - grown up children. Living in a compact living space.
- Rupert (10/5): -
- Steeples (10/5): - Just beautiful so perfect for a break away
- Ben (10/5): Amazing the kids and I enjoyed every second -
- Charlene (10/5): Peaceful, beautiful views, friendly sheep and a quirky tardis of a cabin! 5 star hosting just absolutely brilliant! - Peaceful setting and beautiful views
- Storm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (9/5): Peaceful location, quirky accommodation - Location, watching sheep and donkeys in the fields adjacent to the cabin. Tasty fresh eggs. Myrtle the mud hut cabin is really well designed, it's got everything you need and was nice and cosy during the storm. It was nice to watch films as the TV is a smart one so lots of choice. Good the heaters in the rooms can be controlled individually. I stayed with 93 year old mum and her dog and Bob was very accommodating. Great to have an enclosed area for the dog and nice space to sit out for when it's sunny.
Will definitely recommend and if down there again, would look to book again. Thanks Bob. For a longer stay, a wardrobe would be great, but the hooks on the bedroom and bathroom doors worked fine.
- Andrew (10/5): Perfect get away - we will be back! - Very comfortable accommodation in a perfect quiet location. The accommodation was spotless, very cosy and the enclosed garden was great for our dog. Bob was a great host - would highly recommend and we will be back!
- Jen (10/5): This was our second visit. We had a great time and hope to return again soon. - Bob was the perfect host. Myrtle was in a lovely, peaceful location and had everything we needed. N/A
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Great place excellent service - Very peaceful
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location, comfy beds Microwave would be handy but not a game changer
- Suzy (10/5): Relaxing stay in a unique holiday home. - Cosy space. Nice outlook and garden space. On site parking. Could do with somewhere to hang coats or dresses.
A microwave would have been handy.
- Julia (10/5): A very relaxing break in super accommodation - Everything about this accommodation is fantastic. It’s hard to imagine when you’re inside that you’re actually inside 3 containers. The photos don’t do it justice.
Bob, the host was so lovely and helpful too! Nothing
- Kemp (9/5): Superb -
- Ruth (10/5): Lovely space from which to enjoy the Cotswold’s. - Beautiful property, with lots of outdoor space. Kitchen facilities and equipment good. Very clean and comfortable property. Owner extremely helpful. Everything was perfect
- Mark (10/5): Awesome, we'll be back - Perfect from start to finish. As a retired builder, the transformation from container to cabin has been proffessionally done and exhibits quality workmanship throughout. The Cabin is well decorated with everything you need for a perfect stay. We took our busy grandchildren and they thoroughly enjoyed running around the small contained garden and the larger spaces around the cabin. The cabin was warm, cosy and even has wifi, though a little limited on bandwidth. The host was very helpful and the 1/2 dozen freshly laid eggs she brought over were delicious on Sunday morning. BBQ and homemade chimnea were a welcome nightly activity, with coals and logs provided. Everything thought of and well executed. Just Brilliant. Nothing at all. Though previous user of the BBQ could have cleaned it after they used it.
- Miriam (10/5): I experienced heaven at the Cabin🙂 - Exceptionally clean and quiet. It was awesome watching the sheep and horses in the morning while having coffee.
- Penny (9/5): Cool Stay with very homely feel. - Really cool and great place, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of towels and a little private garden for our little ones to run around in. We didn't have time to visit the animals on the farm.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helio (10/5): Great place and host, we really enjoyed our stay -
- Jean (10/5): My kind of mini-break!!! - Very peaceful and calm surroundings. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable bed. A home away from home and Bob was very welcoming. Enjoyed waking up and seeing the animals minding their business outside. Would highly recommend. I did not like having to leave!!😊
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ross (10/5): Brilliant Cotswold cabin - The container cabin was perfect for a weekend away with my wife and our 9-month old. We loved the location (especially meeting the donkeys), the cabin was spotless and very well equipped. Bob was a very thoughtful host! Nothing.
- Robin (10/5): Perfect - Location Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Perfect set up for relaxing and great location for mooching around Cotswolds - Unique and very well laid out, very comfortable and great location. Nothing - all fab!
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nazreen (10/5): Family friendly comfortable unique play to stay to visit the Cotswolds. I would recommend it and would stay again. Thank - It is such a unique place to stay, and beautifully done up inside. You’d never know you were inside 3 shipping containers! There was a beautiful peaceful view, and the garden space is fully enclosed so my 1.5yo was free to run around and explore, and my 6yo rode his scooter everywhere. Bob was so welcoming, and offered a travel cot without me even asking for one, which was really kind. The place was clean and very child friendly. A BBQ with coal was provided, and also a fire pit with wood provided which we really enjoyed. It’s close to Bourton-on-the-Water, but also very secluded for a proper getaway. Bob is planning to build more properties but the plot seems large enough to still be private for a peaceful getaway. It was genuinely great! I guess a fan would’ve been nice as it was quite hot at night but I’m really just nit picking! I really enjoyed the stay.
- Jake (10/5): Unbelievablely refreshing, relaxing and a perfect introduction to the countryside - Secluded, peaceful, clean…everything you would want and need is there Nothing….it was perfect
- Zoey (10/5): Beautiful views at a spotless property - The property was beautiful, spotless and in a stunning location. Couldn’t have asked for a better view. We were there for a wedding weekend so didn’t get to spend as much time in the property as we would have liked, but we’ll definitely be back.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - The hut and location were fantastic and had everything we needed. The hut is incredibly well laid out, and we will definitely be returning soon. Bob is an awesome host and couldn't do enough for us. Even picking us up when we were stranded. We're looking forward to going back to see the donkeys Pedro and Coco, the dogs spud and Popcorn. Thanks again Bob. Nothing not to like about.
- Naomi (10/5): Unique, comfortable and peaceful. I loved it - The Mud Hut is a unique place to stay, surrounded by fields in a wonderful setting.
It was really comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. I had a wonderful restful stay.
What a delight to wake up and look across the fields and see sheep and the resident donkeys Pedro and Coco.
It was so peaceful and the birdsong was amazing.
I will definitely be back and couldn’t recommend it more highly.
