• Kirsten (10/5): The perfect escape for 2 tired mums needing a reset! - The property is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a stay away from home. The decking outside was like an extra room and I loved my morning cuppa sat outside, listening to the birdsong, water feature and the sunshine. Easy parking and easy to get keys from the lock box due to a lovely message from the hosts with everything we needed to know before we arrived. A few treats had been left for us which was so thoughtful and much appreciated! I couldn't initially figure out the oven but Anna was on hand via text to guide me (& I worked it out in the end!) but I knew that any problems and she would've popped round to sort. Beautiful location and we went on a lovely evening walk to the church and amongst the bluebells - so beautiful! We also loved that there were two great size rooms so we slept very well ( I fell asleep so quickly that I totally forgot to even close the curtains when I went to bed!) We loved everything! Cannot wait to come back!

• Susan (9/5): Comfy cottage - The accomodation was lovely & well kitted out. The beds were very comfy. The arrival package was a lovely touch. As it was advertised as dog friendly it would of been nice if the patio was enclosed so we could of let our dog out there. But overall a lovely place. Driveway was a bit tight & having to reverse out onto the road was not ideal.
• Katherine (7/5): - Very clean throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable furniture and a lovely outdoor space. Too cold. The bedroom radiators never came on and the portable electric heaters were not adequate to heat the space.
• Michelle (9/5): - Cosy yet spacious, lovely decoration, fresh and clean, great size kitchen packed full of utensils, ideal location for being near Tiverton. Anna was very friendly, and communicative. Love the outdoor space, and outstanding views! Walls/doors a bit thin, so being an annexe you can hear next door occasionally. I personally struggle to sleep with feather pillows, but didn't realise they were feather until bedtime, oops.

• neil (10/5): To Sum up is easy:- IT JUST DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS👍 - This Without A Doubt Is A Hidden Gem and probably the Best Place we have Stayed,It’s all about Location Location Location And this property has Views To Die For.The Beds are The Most Comfortable Beds and As an added Bonus Electric!! How Cool is that.The decor is Stunning and Anna The Host was Simply Superb with nothing Being A problem. We know we will be back and look forward to it. Not a Thing!!

• Brizal (10/5): Little gem set in the heart of Devon countryside. Amazing hosts and beautiful quiet acommodation - The location is absolutely beautiful, very easy to find based on the instructions the host sent through. The apartment was absolutely immaculate and the coffee pods and bread and jams for the morning were a bonus. The rooms were decorated to a high standard and the place was lovely and warm. The hosts were so lovely and even let us know we had left something and are arranging to get it back to us. Would highly recommend pippins for a beautiful quiet west country stay. The beds in the main room were 2 singles pushed together which im not a fan of but again it didnt impact our stay.

Although weather was shocking on arrival the views were fabulous. Thank you for a brilliant stay over .

• Lisa (10/5): Don't hesitate, such a lovely place to stay. - Fantastic place to stay! One of the best places we've stayed in Devon. Loved the location, the property was lovely. Accommodation was private and with top notch amenities as well as lush décor. Immaculately clean, super comfortable would absolutely stay again and highly recommend. Host was friendly and very responsive. Only wish we had booked for a longer period at Pippins, as it was far superior to the accommodation we were in for the first few days of our trip to Devon.

• Ian (9/5): Hidden Gem - Only stayed one night, as it was a last minute getaway. Such a beautiful location, and so tranquil. The accommodation was spotless, and very well appointed. The deck was a lovely place to sit on a warm Summer evening, also in the morning for breakfast. The bed was super comfortable, and the sound of the running water from the Koi pond near the deck was so relaxing. We would definitely like to stay here again for sure. My only criticism (albeit a very small one), is that it would be nice to have some sort of divider or fence between the deck and the rest of the owners accommodation. It would just make it that little bit more private when you were sat out there.
• Kathy (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful place to stay - The location was perfect for our visit and it was easy to drive into Tiverton. The apartment itself was lovely and very well decorated and furnished. It had all the equipment and utensils we needed. It was very clean and comfortable and a lovely place to relax in the evening. The views from the decking were great and the area was peaceful and relaxing. We only stayed 2 nights though this is somewhere you could stay very comfortably for much longer. I can't think of any negatives at all. There really was everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.
• Lucy (10/5): A very relaxing stay. The accommodation had everything we needed. Will definitely return! - It was cosy and had all of the home comforts. Felt very much like home. Great location with just a short drive into tiverton and a forest walk just down the road for the dog. The shower could do with a screen or something as I found the bathroom gets very wet when using the shower.
• Tom (1/5): Unusually bad, give it a miss.... - Location was great. Out of the way and quiet apart from the builders We were woken up in the morning firstly by someone running around above the bedroom and then by someone using an impact driver on the adjoining bedroom wall. This was around 7:30 am. We tried to contact the host and had no reply. Drilling and impact driver continued through the morning then the water was cut off and we decided we would find somewhere else to stay. We had no notice that the host was having work done in their bathroom next door. It was upsetting considering we were away to catch up on sleep and relax. We received a partial refund which hardly made up for the disturbance and having to find somewhere else to stay during a short break. Rubbish was left outside the flat (see pics) and the main bedroom is two singles that aren't fixed together just as a head up!! Thoroughly disappointed with the host and booking for not following up with our complaint. I'd give it a miss.....plenty of other great places to stay. We ended up staying at the Queen's court hotel in Exeter which I can't say enough good things about.

• Erin (10/5): Amazing location, accommodation and host!!!! - We liked everything about the property. The setting is amazing!! It was comfortable and warm and Anna left us homemade jam and breakfast ingredients were amazing. We will 100% be back. The parking was a bit hard to maneuver with a rental car and the other cars but definitely doable. It wouldn’t put us off.

We didn't meet the owners as we checked in via a lockbox/code entry. Beautiful views over fields/hills at the back, I imagine in summer it would be lovely to sit outside. Dog friendly which was a bonus. I would definitely recommend :) N/A

• Mandy (9/5): Great stay and met our needs perfectly. - This is a beautiful well equipped property. Beds really comfortable and linens felt luxurious. Nice touches of Autumnal cushions and decor that I presume changes by season. Butter, Bread and Milk always a welcome bonus. Hosts lovely welcoming and friendly. I didn't like the parking. It was quite tight and you have to reverse up a incline and onto the road. I am sure if you live there it becomes second nature but I found it a little precarious.

• Philip (9/5): Highly recommend. - The style and quality of the decor and fittings is superb. Very tastefully done. All very modern looking. Property was comfortably warm when we arrived. Spotlessly clean. The shower needs a screen. No matter how careful you are the floor gets soaked. I had to use a towel to mop up and my colleague used a bath mat. If you unknowingly turn the control the wrong way the hand shower soaks as far as the sink. Access is a little tricky the first time especially as we arrived after dark. Our host did guide us in the right direction as we missed the very small directional sign. Take food with you as there is nothing close (that we found).

• Judith (8/5): Very good - Pippins was very close to the venue of the wedding we were attending. It is a lovely, modern, two-bedroom unit on the back of the main residence. The grounds and views are fantastic. Pippins was very comfortable with every amenity we required for our stay. The parking was on site but required some good driving skills for access and egress.

Beautiful location and amazing views. There really wasn't anything not to like. The only thing was the WiFi and phone signal was intermittent but that's to be expected in that location.

Andy and Amanda were excellent hosts who made sure we had everything we needed. Pippin is really well placed for touring all around the area with good access to the surrounding coasts (North and South). A lovely quiet setting with great views of the surrounding countryside and the dark night skies. There was nothing that we didn't like, everything was catered for.

The views from the rear of the property were amazing and we were made to feel very welcome. The entrance drive was a challenge but manageable.

• Dena (10/5): Serenity in a beautiful, comfortable setting - Lovely secluded area, absolutely fantastic gardens with an amazing view across the valley. The apartment itself had plenty of space for my husband, myself and my baby in one room and my mother in law in the second bedroom. Tea, coffee, milk and bread were provided. The beds were very comfortable and the settings very tranquil. The directions to the property were very good. It was an absolute treat to come here and we would definitely be looking to stay again in the future. WiFi was a little patchy although this is a minor point. We were still able to use it for our baby monitor.

Lovely friendly host and well equipped kitchen.0 It's a very minor thing but it would be nice to have a cafetiere (we brought our own as we are coffee addicts so it wasn't a problem for us!).

• Becca (8/5): Lovely night away for a couple looking to relax! - Lovely property, equipped with everything we could have needed! A quick and easy drive to the nearest town. Great outdoor space also! Lovely little touches (bread,butter,tea,coffee etc) left for us and a late checkout is available if the place isn’t booked next day! We were woken up very early by a loud noise then constant knocking came afterwards so we moved bedrooms as we couldn’t work out where it came from. Unsure as to whether we were unlucky or it’s something that happens every morning-wasn’t a massive issue for us as the second bedroom wasn’t in use so we could just move.

• Alice (10/5): Weekend stay - We had a wonderful stay at Pippins while visiting family. Lovely home, well presented and very clean. Beautiful views! Well equipped kitchen, lovely and warm. Comfortable living room with telly that has access to many channels and Netflix. Location is rural, so there are no pavements, meaning we had to drive everywhere. Not too much of a problem, but it's just good to know.

• Cat (10/5): Beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean and kind & considerate hosts. - Pippins was a beautiful apartment which was spotless and very comfortable. Amanda and Andy went out of their way to provide us with things that made our lives easier when there (loads of towels in the bathroom, throws and towels for the dogs, a few bits and pieces in the kitchen) which were very much appreciated. We travelled for a family emergency too and Amanda messaged early to say the room was ready, we could access it whenever we wanted (before check in time etc). Will definitely be going back.
