Guest Reviews
- Martínez (10/5): - El paisaje y la instalación de las habitaciones Que a camino le falta señalamiento del hotel
- Yanhara (9/5): - Estar en la naturaleza Accesibilidad
- Karine (10/5): Amazing! - We had a great experience at Kainga. Very recommended if you want to try a new experience. Very comfortable bed, and the food is simple but delicious. Staff is friendly. It was a very relaxing trip. Do not go there is you have mobility issue. You need to walk a very steep road up the hill about 10 minutes to get there but it is worth the trip for the stunning view and delicious drink. There is no hot water at night so good to know you need to shower during the day to get hot water.
- Anna (6/5): A charming, different sort of place , just not for everybody.... - The owners are very nice and friendly. They were very accomodating in meeting us at the base of the hill and helping us with our luggage. The place is nicely designed and very unusual. Great views from the property. A Comfortable bed, and a wow factor when you get there initially. I think that the hotel description should be a little more clear about the difficulty of climing the hill to get to the hotel. You need to be definitely in a decent shape to make it up there and definitely you should never attempt it after dark. That also means that you can't go out at night and the menu that is being offered is very limited. I think what upset me was the gorgeous bathtub in the room with great views from the bathtub and the luck of hot water. I understand that it must be hard to come up with ways of providing hot water given the location but I think it should be resolved at some point in the future. I think after spending a day on the beach and climbing this hill, you need hot/warm water to bathe. Or please, take the bathtub out because it is like a cruel joke. Once again, the hotel doesn't mention that that there is no hot water in their description. The place is not cheap so I think it is natural to expect certain comforts. We were there during a cold weather spell so trying to shower in icy cold water was torture. As I said before the owners are charming and have good ideas but some things need to be straigthened out to make it a really great place. I am sure if will happen in the future, since they are just starting to operate.
