- Rebecca (10/5): Great quality accommodation and location - Beautiful comfy big beds, huge terrace very welcome after a long day sightseeing to have a quiet drink in peace. Highly recommend! Staff very responsive! Great!
- Jessica (10/5): - El host fue lo máximo! Estuvo pendiente todo el tiempo asegurándose de que estemos bien ! La ubicación fue la mejor ! Cerca de todo ! Recomendado 100%
- Guest (8/5): Amazing location and terrace. Air con needs improved in one bedroom and a little TLC - The location was amazing. So central with a view over from the rooftop terrace which was massive. Three separate rooms was good for us (one being a pull out in the dining room). It was all slightly dated but fit for purpose. The kitchen could have done with more equipment overall. When we got there the rubbish from the previous people was still there which we asked them to remove which they said they would straight away but never did. The air con in one of the rooms was great but the other was rubbish.
- ann (3/5): Average - Location was good.
Terrace was lovely and could do with an umbrella Beds were very hard
Bathroom was only okay. Water from shower went everywhere. No fan /air con in living area
Kitchen stocks not great , no cups , no Prosecco glasses.
- Guest (10/5): We had a wonderful stay, highly recommended - Location is great, close to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and quick access to other tourist spots. Many restaurants around. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the terrace beautiful especially in the morning or at night after 6:30. The elevator was great considering the apartment is on the 5th floor 🙂 Nothing really to complain about. The apartment doesn’t have central air conditioning but has a unit in each bedroom. Leaving the doors open it helps cool down all other areas

- Eyal (9/5): אחלה בחירה, המקום יפה יותר מהתמונות - המיקום מושלם!
החדרים גדולים ומרווחים,
יש גם חדר ארונות בחדר השינה.
המרפסת מדהימה!! הכול טוב
- Linda (10/5): Wonderful host, fantastic apartment. - Location, balcony, layout of the property was all fabulous. All was great
- Catherine (7/5): Ok - Location was fabulous, apartment terrace was great and beds were really comfortable. Aircon was not working in one bedroom which led to 4 uncomfortably hot nights. I was advised to use the other bedroom but I booked and paid for a 2 bed apartment for a reason.
Communication with check in representative was tricky due to language barrier. It’s not ideal communicating via phone translate. I was expecting to pay a €30 late check in fee (9pm arrival) but when I asked the check in guy about this he said (via phone translate) not to worry. Mid-way through our stay I was then asked for the late check-in fee. Hairdryer was not working. Cut out after around 2mins and ended up going to bed with wet hair on our last night. I thought it stopped due to overheating but waited 20mins and it still didn’t work. Easily replaced by owners so should not be an issue for future guests.
- Carolyn (8/5): Fantastic location, very comfortable and would definitely recommend it - Location is excellent, the terrace is lovely . Angelo was really helpful . Rooms are a nice size The front door to the building is really annoying . A minor annoyance is the location of the crockery cupboard above the fridge, its very difficult to reach the glasses and cups etc
- Ádám (10/5): jewel box next to the Spanish Steps. stunning terrace, comfortable beds, all the sights at our feet. - The terrace is the jewel of the accommodation. The two bedrooms are at the two ends of the accommodation, well separated. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is completely adequate, we didn't use the kitchen much. It was amazing to end every evening on the terrace, chatting with a drink. Everything is very close, Trevi Fountain is 4 minutes on foot, Spanish Steps 3 minutes, Pantheon 13 minutes, Piazza Navona 20 minutes, Colosseum approx. 25 minutes. The accommodation is on the 5th floor, the elevator takes you directly to the accommodation, there are 2 keys for it, 6 people can be accommodated. It is worth getting up early (7 am) to enjoy the atmosphere of the waking city. Branded shops are a step away. I would definitely return to this accommodation. I would put a curtain in the living room, although overall the morning light didn't bother me. The seagulls are sometimes loud, and they take out the trash in the city center at night (1-2 am), but these are such small noises that they are negligible. I can't write anything negative about the accommodation, we had a fantastic time.
- Mrugya (10/5): Centrally located, clean and secured - I loved the property. It was centrally located which made walking around so much easier.
- Roxanne (9/5): Amazing location and rooftop terrace apartment! - The location was amazing.
The roof top terrace was even better than I could imagine.
There was so much space in the apartment The only issue we had was the guy giving us the keys, we were struggling to understand each other due to the language barrier.
- Lisi (1/5): Bad - The property is very disappointing except for the location. It was so dirty and poorly equipped, without very basic supplies such shampoo, garbage bags, proper beddings, etc.. The microwave, coffee machine, air conditioning didn't even work. The washing machine was so gross, and the door knob was still with some kids' bandaids.
We stayed for 3 nights and our kids kept complaining that the very thin blanket there smelled really bad. Luckily they were too tired, so still managed to fall into sleep but woke up in the mornings because it was cold.
On our 3rd night, after walking around the city for a whole day, we got back after 10pm and found no hot water to shower. I complained to the guy who received us when we arrived and he simply said nothing he could do, as if I was a nuisance to contact him late at night. My husband and son just showered in cold water because they sweated a lot during the day. The water was too cold for me and my daughter to shower.
Overall, it's completely.misleading that the property claims to be a 4 starts, and I can almost expect how the owner is going to respond to this review, as if it's a matter of personal taste/expectations rather that the poor management of the property. I have to say this is the worst experience I had with accommodations in Europe, and wish I had booked something else.
- Manuel (9/5): Superb -
- Gillian (10/5): The perfect apartment in a superb location - Fabulous location only 3-4 minutes walk to the Spanish steps with a great balcony overlooking the street.
Very comfortable with everything you need for your stay in Rome.
Plenty of shops bars and restaurants within walking distance. There is a beautiful Basilica directly next to the apartment with stunning paintings and a gorgeous little garden.
Given how close you are to everything the apartment is very quiet at night with no street noise.
Would definitely recommend RoofRHome.
Will definitely return to Rome and this apartment again.
Our host Angelo was so accommodating in letting us check in early so that we didn’t have to carry our bags. Everything was fantastic. Ideal for a city break with friends / family.
- Vlad (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the terrace where amazing . The staff was very welcoming and helped out a lot. Some instructions on using the thermostat printed out would have been amazing .. but that is my only regret
- Radeva (10/5): Loved it! - We had a great time. We chose the apartment because of the lovely roof terrace and the perfect location. It is on the 5th floor and the view is breath taking. The location is quite busy, so you feel both safe into the city vibe but it was peaceful and quiet at night so we had a good night's rest. The host was verry helpfull, advising us for locations, restaurants and even helping with luggage. It is a lovely historic house, with a special charisma.
Totally worth it! Would definitely visit again. One thing - we found out the elevator was broken when we got there and they were fixing it during our stay starting at 8am and they were waking us up. This is not a complain because these things happen, but if you have a problem climbing the 5th floor, you can ask the hosts before you check in - lust in case.
This will make sure you leave a good review after checking out. :)
- Tetiana (10/5): Good apartment for staying in Rome - We really enjoy our time in this apartment. Beautiful view from living room and great terrace. Very close to main attractions. We enjoyed our stay
- Daryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Banu (7/5): Good location - Location of this hone is perfect and the roof also but to use the roof the weather should be great. This house is so weird.
You enter inside of the house directly with elevator there are also steps but traveling with the kids we did’t feel safe about it.
There were 2 rooms with tv but the living room where you dine has no tv and only about 6-8 sqm.
Terrace is big but if the weather is not ok you have not much area to sit and eat.
Very small kitchen with very few and old kitchen equipments.
The worst side is very uncomfortable beds and linens.
Makes it so difficult to sleep.
We wouldn’t recommend this house couse we wouldn’t go back there once more.
- Fulya (10/5): Exceptional - Location is the best and the terrace was amazing with the view
- Jane (10/5): A fabulous stay - The apartment was fantastic. We chose it mainly for the roof terrace and it exceeded our expectations.
There are two large bedrooms, a small kitchen, bathroom with shower and a nice lounge area with a big window. Three separate doors lead onto the terrace, so the apartment feels light and airy.
We only used the fridge and the kettle in the kitchen but there is a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and hob, no oven though if you are planning to cook.
Communication was excellent. We were met by Federico on arrival at the apartment and given a tour. I messaged the owner with a query a few days in and they responded immediately. The water and a bottle of red wine were also a nice touch.
The location is ideal. The Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain are both just minutes away. The Colosseum and Vatican Museums are also within walking distance, but if you don’t fancy the walk Barberini Metro station is only around 8 minutes away so it’s easy to get around, note that Spagna Metro station is currently closed for refurbishment. Despite being in such a central position the apartment was really quiet at night.
There is a good takeaway pizza place a few doors down, La Focaccina di Serafina, and a Carrefour Express supermarket on the corner, the Tigre Supermarket a little further round on Via del Pozzetto had much more choice and friendlier staff though.
Rome is an absolutely amazing place and the apartment was perfect for us. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. We loved the apartment. This is just a couple of ‘non property’ related notes on Rome for anyone who hasn’t been before. Take care if you travel on the Metro, as with any big city. A local lady warned us and pointed out a group of female pickpockets operating in Termini Metro station. Also, if you are travelling on local buses or trains make sure you validate your ticket in one of the yellow machines before travel because the fines are huge if you don’t, and the ticket inspectors are uncompromising!
- Schiffmann (10/5): Wonderful - Loved this place and having drinks on the veranda overlooking the streets of Rome. Central location. Great air conditioning. Lift to the apartment. Comfortable stay. We were only given one set of keys which was hard to manage at times.
- Elaine (9/5): great location and lovely apartment - location was perfect, easy to walk to main attractions .
roof top terrace was a great addition to have to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sun and relax .
would recommend the apartment , we were a party of two couples and we didnt feel we were on top of each other . there was nothing i would say was a negative for us .
- Tamsin (10/5): Magical stay in a fabulous roof-top apartment. - The apartment was exceptional, beyond our expectations for our week-long family stay. The roof terrace was huge with an amazing view. We had breakfast outside each day, and a few evening aperitivos as the sun went down. The location was perfect, walking distance to everything. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the bathroom great with an excellent shower. Kitchen well equipped - we cooked dinner easily for two nights, everything we needed was there. We were there in a very hot and humid period, but the airconditioning was efficient and amazingly silent. Wifi great. It was on the fifth floor but there was a lift. Building and street were pretty quiet, given the central location. Great supermarket round the corner, excellent ice-cream shop and takeaway pizza within 30metres. And our host who greeted us was charming, polite and helpful. We hope to return. My two teenagers were a bit grumpy at having to share a double bed, but they managed!
- Dean (10/5): Location is everything in comfort! - Clean and spacious, Great location! AC works great in each bedroom! Beautiful terrace to enjoy breakfast or drinks at night. Close to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. Loved it!
- Elisabete (9/5): Great stay, close to everything! - Location was the best, close to everything. Host was very helpful and met us to deliver the key when we arrived. Very comfortable accommodation - it was great for a family of four.
- William (10/5): Great apartment with very helpful host. - Great location and spacious, well equipped apartment.
- Paul (10/5): Couldn’t recommend this wonderful property enough— hope to return again! - From the moment of booking, RoofRhome was in close communication with us. They helped us arrange car service from the airport to the property.
The representative for RR met us promptly on the spot and gave us a nice tour of the property. We even had a complementary bottle of red wine to welcome us!
The view from the rooftop terrace afforded amazing views of the square and Basilica. Nearby are the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Many great restaurants are within walking distance.
The property was well appointed, with modern appliances and solid air conditioning. The lift to the top fit a couple and luggage no problem. No complaints.
- Lidiya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angelina (10/5): Absolutely spectacular - It was a perfect location and great to have the two bedrooms and the rooftop terrace. Access. Front door key and lock difficulty.
- Diane (10/5): Perfecto - Wonderful Apt. Really enjoyed the terrace.
- Jennifer (8/5): Perfect location, wonderful terrace and extremely helpful owners - Perfect location and wonderful terrace! Despite being right in the heart of Rome between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, the apartment is amazingly quiet and restful. The management and owner are incredibly helpful and responsive. It's a lovely place to stay!
- Heidi (9/5): Superb - The keys.
- Mohamad (10/5): I would come back to the same property without any doubts. - Place is clean, comfortable, with a magnificent terrace ,Location is super ,Apartment is fully equipped, super great and supportive staff
- Vera (9/5): Superb -
- Elena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fariba (10/5): An incredible property in a central location with the most beautiful, spacious balcony! - We loved the location, the balcony and the overall space! It would have been more convenient to have a small trash can in the kitchen.
- Dmitry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katerina (10/5): Our stay was amazing! - Everything!!! There was nothing negative 😊
- Michael (10/5): We LOVED it. It is one of the best places we have stayed in Italy. - The place is amazing. We absolutely loved it, so much so, that we had plans to leave after 5 nights, but wrote asking about staying one extra night because we thoroughly enjoyed Rome, the location in the city where the apartment was, and the apartment itself. The massive rooftop patio with a lot of seating with the rather nice street view for people watching was another wonderful treat.
We arrived to meet with Loreto and he gave us information on the apartment and showed us around with how things work. Having a washing machine was a huge plus as well.
Communication was so easy, and I am thankful for their quick responses, and they were so very kind.
The location is phenomenal as it sits between the Spanish Steps (3 minute walk) and the Trevi Fountain 4-5 minute walk.
The apartment is on the 5th floor, but there is a small elevator/lift. It's small, but quick for the small building. In 6 days of staying there, we never had to wait on the elevator due to heavy use. That was a nice thing.
Sometimes I read reviews and see how a property might not have that many reviews overall because maybe it's a new property, but despite the small number of reviews, when reading them, I understand why so many gave them perfect scores. I'm one of those people now. You can't go wrong staying there. It's a small thing, but the beds are very firm. I know that can be a personal situation as some like beds to be harder, but for us, we prefer them softer. The elevator is small, so you can pretty easily get 3 adults in it together, but not a lot of large luggage along with the 3 adults. But with that said, it was nice to have the elevator available. We used it nearly every time we arrived and left the building.
