• Anonymous (9/5): Needed an overnight stay and it fitted the bill - There was no breakfast so can't comment on that. Room was good but a TV or radio in the room would be beneficial as once in your room nothing to do other than go to bed. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. Owners very friendly and helpful. Yes I would recommend for short stays but if staying for a few days would really need breakfast to be an option. Nothing to do in the room after you had been out so a TV or radio would have been good as there was no guest lounge to sit in.

• David (10/5): It was the perfect accommodation for my stay, it fitting everything I needed. - The location is perfect for visiting the town and the beach front, short distance to both. Some free long term parking is available on the street, and surrounding streets is a bonus. If there is a down side, it's the sea bird dawn chorus.

• Catherine (8/5): Charm, comfort and convenience - Fantastic location for the Felixstowe Book Festival, just a short walk away. Very near shops, cafés and amenities yet in a quiet residential road. Very reasonably priced. Hosts recommended good places to eat, since this is room- only accommodation. Nothing. Worth mentioning that the room is on the first floor. You go up a very steep, narrow staircase with only one metal handrail to the left. You might need assistance if your luggage is heavy or bulky. There is a good-sized bathroom on the landing outside the room.
• Julia (9/5): Great place to stay and I’ve made many good memories there and with my friends who I meet in Felixstowe 😊 - It’s so pretty. I’ve been staying there for three years in a row. It’s very central to everything that I need ! The free standing shower in the bathroom is lovely but very slippery. I was so scared of slipping over that I had to put a fabric bath mat down so I felt secure! I did rinse it out and hung it over the shower rail on the door.

Thank you so much for the stay! We are sad to hear the hosts are selling as we would love to return! We absolutely loved everything about our stay, having said that, while showering, we noticed that through the small window in the bathroom, there is a window from a neighbouring house that is not frosted, and therefore were worried we could be seen whilst showering. We put a T-shirt over the window just in case :)

• Lynne (9/5): Superb - The hosts were lovely, very welcoming. The room was very light, spacious, and airy. The bed was so comfortable that I had the best night's sleep. The property is close to the seafront. I'm a bit disappointed that there wasn't a tv in the room. This would be useful in case someone wanted to chill / relax in their room. It met our expectations and we were told about the parking situation on arrival. The downside to this property is the parking. It's not great. If you park outside you have to move your car by 8am ! I had to park in the long stay car park.

The bed was so comfy and I LOVED reading the magazines in the morning. The bathroom was lovely too and the self check in worked really well. It was lovely and quiet. We weren’t sure which rooms were ours!

• Rebecca (8/5): theatre trip - Excellent location in a quiet road just off the town centre so nice & close to the shops,theatre, cinema & train station. Bathroom and bedroom were spotless. Comfy bed and a lovely added bonus in winter of being given a hot water bottle to use! Tea tray in the room is always good. Theres a bath and also a nice big shower too. I shall stay here again.

We recommend it already to our friends & we recommend it to others as well! Thank you! 😍 It is a little bit difficult to find a place for parking the car around the house, but we found it closer.

• Waseem (10/5): Lovely home away from home with great and friendly hosts. - This is the second time I have stayed at Stoneleigh. This is a lovely place to stay with hosts that are exceptional. Very friendly atmosphere and very homely. The bathroom was spotless and all the facilities were top notch. A great set of people to stay with. The location is handy as it's right in the town centre and parking is great if you can get it outside the property but if not the streets round the side always have spaces. The house is in a safe part of town too so very little to worry about vehicle wise. Definately recommended. It was all great. There is nothing that I could fault.

Excellent value for money. Parking is available in the street depending on the time of arrival, we managed to park a few streets away which wasn’t a huge issue but made it further to carry our bags!

Easy check in, owner provided keys for front door and bedrooms. Excellent value for money. Perfect for our overnight short stay to attend a friend’s party in Felixstowe. Parking was not available on the street at the time of our arrival, but we found a space a short walk away so not a deal breaker! Anyone concerned re breakfast provision, there’s plenty of cafes on the nearby high street and places along the seafront.
• Laura (10/5): Lovely place to lay your head for the night. - The size of the room was lovely, the cleanliness was top notch. Good quality bedding and great quality bed and lovely tea coffee kettle set up within the room. The hostess was really lovely. The beach /restaurants shops etc are within 0.1 mile of the property and easy to walk to. The local pub had delicious food and drink. Other food outlets available. Tesco up the road and a lovely café that opens up at 7am in the town. Lovely place to lay your head for the night. I thought I had ordered a room that was our own bathroom not shared but everything we did have was clean and well maintained. The time curfew was a little off putting as I haven't had one of those since I was a child but appreciate why it's needed due to the owners living in the property. No food served or offered at the property. Although their family meal smelt amazing. Left early as the neighbours were a little noisy this morning.

• Liz (10/5): Just a lovely, easy, comfortable stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. - The house is on a quiet street, a stone's throw from the beach. The bedroom was a good size and the bed/mattress was lovely and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and there was tea and coffee in the room. The room doesn't have an ensuite, but this is in the listing. The shared bathroom was next to our bedroom and no one else used it apart from us, so it felt like it was ours anyway.

• Mark (5/5): no-one around on arrival, no access to a tv or lounge area, comfy bed, nice shared bathroom - budget price, convenient access from station no tv in room, tea making facilities under a very low vaulted ceiling, room would be easier to navigate as a single. no breakfast offered. tea making station would be much better situated on the chest of drawers instead of the camera and plastic flowers in vase. would have expected an iron and board as pretty standard.
