Guest Reviews
- Brenda (8/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage and garden in an interesting village . - The garden, the village atmosphere, the layout of the cottage, the modern bathrooms, the cleanliness. We spent a long time trying to get the cooker to work until we realised that the saucepan was not compatible with an induction cooker. An iron but no board or ironing pad. Lots of cooks knives but nothing to cut bread with satisfactorily. A teapot and milk jug would have been appreciated.
- Felicity (9/5): On the whole an excellent stay loved all the history What a Church! - Self catering. The beds were very comfortable. The sofas not especially comfortable and sitting on one of them it wasn't too easy to watch TV. It could be easier to work the T.V. The WIFI instructions should be updated. Instructions over the phone very helpful

- Susan (8/5): Lovely cottage, wish we could have stayed for longer - Beautiful quiet location and large property with enclosed garden
- Kate (10/5): A perfect base for a catch up with old friends. - Really spacious, comfortable cottage. We opted to stay in and cook rather than try the local pub. The kitchen had (almost) everything we needed and the cottage was a lovely place to spend the evening. Host was quick to respond when contacted over a minor problem. She was very flexible with checkout, allowing us to stay into the afternoon.
The area was very interesting historically with plenty of local walks.
- Jenny (10/5): Great property, spacious, inside with a large gated garden and great location. - Lovely property, lots of space and large safe garden for our dog to explore safely.
Very good location with great walks very close by and a fab pub 2 mins walk away.
- Jannine (9/5): -
- Sheril (9/5): A very peaceful, comfortable stay. - Beautiful quiet village location. Clean uncluttered accommodation. Plenty of space. Good local pubs and eateries. There could be more shelves in bathrooms for toiletries etc. and hooks on the backs of doors to hang dressing gown or similar.

- Kimberley (10/5): Such a lovely, comfortable stay! - Lovely little cottage, will defo stay again!! The beds and bedding were so comfy!!
- Mariana (9/5): Beautiful property with all the necessary commodities. - Beautiful property, very interesting history attached to eat, very nicely decorated, very comfortable, very well equipped. Very kind, useful and friendly electronic communications with the host. Great location, you need a car to get around. Small windows best be shut at night to avoid tiny flying insects get in attracted by the room lights.
- lorna (10/5): Comfortable stay in a picturesque location! - Comfortable home in a picturesque location! Lovely village pub along the road and many local walks to choose from. Spacious garden for the kids and dog to enjoy!
- Martyn (8/5): Shame we didn’t have more time to appreciate the property - Beautiful, well appointed property.
Great people that looked after us and gave good information. No hot water - until we found the boiler controls and turned it on, but this was too late for a bath.
- Naleesha (10/5): Perfect for a quiet getaway with the family - Lovely location, short walk to St Mary's church and Fotheringhay castle site. Also a short drive to some lovely country parks and Oundle for a nice walk and stop off for food. The Falcon inn was also very welcoming a few doors down! The property itself has 2 bathrooms which is great for 6 people and a great layout for us to stay comfortably. WiFi also included! Will definitely keep this in mind for future visits. The kitchen was exceptionally equipped with everything we needed to cook together. A real gem! Everything was great!
- David (8/5): Comfortable and lots of space - We were a family of six on this trip, and Ardsheal worked really well. Good kitchen, dining room, living room.and garden. Comfortable bedrooms.
