Franceska (6/5): Beautiful house though did not deliver on our expectations - Beautiful old house with quirky interior and great view of sea. Stunning archway, ability to use Netflix, lovely dining table and chairs, interesting furniture, beautifully renovated, nice top deck and quiet location. Pool very well cleaned. Roula was brilliant (the cleaner) and even assisted when we had a flat tyre. She was friendly and helpful and kept the house brilliantly cared for. Underground parking was very good. Overhead light above main door was hanging ny a wire. I asked Roula who arranged ita repair to wall but it remained full of water and not working and tripped the electrics each time you switched. Three pool area lights didn't work and weren't replaced despite asking. Underwater pool lights (nome worked at all). Pool was in shade from mid morning and very cold. Previous guests had said well equipped but this isn't true at all. Roula had to lend her bread knife as none in house. Coffee maker jug was found minus glass and has been replaced with a coffee jug that didn't fit so when I tried to use it flooded everywhere. Roula kindly brought a cafetiere but this was for one person so we has to make four jugs. There were no scales, no flying pan so I bought one and then roula bought one, no smallish oven Pyrex type dishes only massive ones and no non stick egg spatula. Kitchen felt quite dingy and dark. I had to use a spare camp bed mattress as master bed felt quite hard. The house felt like someone had lost interest and it was going down hill and no interest anymore shown. I have run a 18 sleeping holiday let for years and the notable lack of finishing touches and equipment were notably disappointing. The photos were not up to date.
Dominic (9/5): Really good holiday, over too quickly. - Very nice house with excellent historic features. Spacious and comfortable. The village of Kefalas has a couple of good tavernas and shops for basic household needs. Highly recommended for a relaxing sunny holiday. We only had a week and it seemed too short. In terms of design, it's quite easy to lock yourself out because of the multiple entrance doors (main property entrance, inner door to entrance area, house door) so keep your keys handy even poolside! A couple of parasol bases were missing their parasol, and the oven didn't seem to get hot. Very minor issues which didn't affect our enjoyment of the holiday.
