Guest Reviews
- Shashank (10/5): Great place for a comfortable relaxing trip! - Absolutely everything! Location, comfort, cleanliness, WiFi, facilities etc to name a few! Can’t think of anything!
- Jolanta (10/5): - The house was lovely, cozy, and in a great location. It felt comfortable and welcoming, making it a perfect place to stay. The bedroom had a beautiful view, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
- Rachel (10/5): So relaxing and tranquil! Stunning area and amazing holiday! - The location was up a hill with beautiful views over Morecambe Bay from the top bedroom window. The house was well stocked with everything you could need, and Lynda had provided milk and biscuits on arrival. It was warm and cosy with comfortable beds and plenty of room. Lovely soft fluffy towels were provided, and there was also a hair dryer which was very useful. We came by train, so parking wasn't an issue, but I think it could be difficult to park outside the cottage if you had a car, as it was on street parking, and there were usually neighbouring cars parked outside.
- Emma (10/5): - The house was lovely, had everything we needed. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds. The view from the top bedroom down to the bay was lovely. The owners had thought of everything we'd need, never stayed anywhere so well equipped. Plenty of games for the kids, books and dvds. House was very clean. Grange over sands is a lovely place and house was situated well to explore the lake district. Can highly recommend.
- Charlotte (7/5): - Beds are very comfortable.
You have everything you need.
Clean and spacious
Good location Towel sizes too small. We are all 5'9 and above and not slight either.
Hot enough hot water for a bath.
Could do with a clothes horse to hang washing
Could do with instructions on appliances and TVs of how to use them.
- janice (9/5): very relaxing and enjoyable stay - lovely, clean and cosy. only downside was the very steep hill if you don't have a car.
- Cristian Daniel (10/5): Lovely stay - Very big house, very very clean, comfortable stay! Perfect stay! Everything was absolutely perfect!
- kelda (10/5): We had an amazing Christmas break. We loved the festive touches on arrival and the lounge is really cosy for snuggling u - The house is great, really clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need provided. The location is perfect for wandering down into grange, near to the shops and walks to the prom. There is a hill to climb back up, but we really enjoyed being able to leave the car and do local walks and the views from the top of the property over the bay are amazing. The house could be updated a little, but it was perfect for what we needed and great value.
- Sian (9/5): Really enjoyable and relaxing - Very large property so we all had plenty of space! Nice little secure outdoor area for the dog. It had everything we needed and was perfectly located. Only negative is that the rule that dogs aren’t allowed upstairs should be put on the description as I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known.
- stephanie (10/5): Lovely stay at Heatherlea - Clean, fully stocked, good location
- Veronica (10/5): -
- Pauline (10/5): Fantastic host and accommodation, had a lovely few days break with the family - Lovely location, beautiful scenery and lots of shops within walking distance the house was so spacious with 2 bathrooms it was perfect when travelling with two teenagers 😂 and had all the essentials needed including dog bowls for my dog to use whilst there Local pubs shut quite early and some food places seem to be closed early in the week
- Sayaka (10/5): Beautiful Stay - Everything! It was a perfect getaway for a family holiday and a great base with everything we needed. Lynda, the host, was amazing—really helpful and accommodating—which made our stay even more pleasant. It was our first family holiday in the Lake District, and this place was just wonderful for creating such beautiful memories. Nothing really. The uphill walk could be a little tiring at times, but if you have a car it’s no issue. Personally, as someone who enjoys walking and the outdoors, I actually appreciated it—it was a good morning exercise and the views from the hill were absolutely worth it!
- Anna (10/5): We had a wonderful stay 😊 - We had a wonderful stay. Everything we needed was there. Thank you and best regards.
- samantha (9/5): Relaxing with enclosed garden for dogs. - This was my second stay at the cottage. Great location, it's slightly uphill from the promenade so could be a little too steep for some people. Easy parking and enclosed garden for our dogs.
- Kazza5861 (9/5): - Nice comfortable with everything you need. Nice yard at the back. Parking wasn't an issue . Lovely views from the top floor The trek up the bank can be tiresome but we found an alternative route through a caravan park to the prom
- Mark (10/5): Very comfortable, had everything you needed. 10 out of 10 - Well located but the hill was a killer 😁 Nothing
- Rita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edwin (8/5): A good clean comfortable holiday let. - N/A Bedroom curtains did not meet and let some light in. No recycling provision.
- Tony (8/5): Great place to visit - Very well equipped throughout. Comfortable with plenty of space. Back 'garden' is a sun-trap with a table and seating. Grange over Sands is still quaint and a lovely place to visit. Steep hill from town to house. The thin, ill fitting curtains (top floor bedroom)are not good at keeping out the light in the morning (we like to sleep in).
- Graham (8/5): We had fantastic weather and had a great 4 night trip - Small back garden was a sun trap
Very spacious rooms
Good kitchen size One of the neighbours has an issue over people parking outside his house..came round on two occasions to ask us to move a car..we refused as it's a public road and he has no rights over the space. There was plenty of space in front of the car he wanted us to move.
It's situated up a steep hill from the town centre so it might be an issue for those with mobility issues
- Burdett (8/5): Very comfortable and nice homely feel. -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - Attention to detail, the host had thought of everything from teabags to bubble bath!
- Zenia (7/5): Good -
- Kim (5/5): Passable - Comfortable bed . Hostile neighbours, not enough comfortable seating in lounge for 6 people, tv in lounge not tuned correctly could not get some stations like ITV and in double bedroom no channels available on that tv. Poor shower over bath.
- Patsy (8/5): GREAT STAY - It was very clean and comfortable. Hosts were very quick to respond to any questions I had. Nothing
- Shirley (9/5): Great stay, very clean and spacious. Good value. -
- Grzegorz (10/5): Exceptional - My family and I had a wonderful stay here. It's quite a large house, with three floors, a garden, and a wonderful view of the sands on the beach from the top window. The house has everything you need, is very well equipped, and is clean and tidy. Excellent communication with the owner of the property.
In addition, Grange over Sands is a beautiful town worth visiting at any time of the year.
- Wayne (10/5): Very peasant house and loved the top floor bedroom with sunny position and view. - Every little detail had been thought of. Needs some updates in the decor
