Guest Reviews
- Rachel (4/5): Good location but dirty and disappointing property. - The property is a good location. We like this side of Southwold as it is close to the high street and also the common / sand dunes. It has a small garden which we wanted as we took a small dog. We wanted 2 double rooms, which this property had. The property was dirty which was very disappointing. There were cobwebs, spiders and hair in the bath. The cushions on chairs and sofas looked grubby and the dining chairs and table had crumbs and food on them. The bedding was clean but marked. The kitchen utensils, pans, drawers and cupboards were sticky, dirty and had bits of food on them. We had to clean everything before using it, which did not leave us with a nice feel. The floors were very grubby. We have emailed Southwold Secrets / Holiday Cottages twice with photos to complain and have not even had an acknowledgment or response.
- Greville (8/5): A very enjoyable seaside break. - [References to hosts and breakfast are not applicable]. The location is excellent as it's close to all shops and services. Comfortable chairs in the sitting room and bedrooms also very good. Hot water system needs looking at - esp for showers and baths. Temperature fluctuates unexpectedly. Blind in upstairs lavatory needs replacing.
