• Josephine (4/5): Very very uncomfortable. - Good location close to the port. Substandard facilities. No oven (I am told this is a requirement by Spanish law in private self catering accommodation) Bed was the cheapest, hardest, smallest and most uncomfortable bed we have ever been forced to sleep on and had rock hard pillows, a €5 fitted sheet and an old one inch thick duvet. The nightly rate was not cheap to be expected to be so uncomfortable. The owners seemed to have simply ‘ticked boxes’ in choosing facilities including the sofa, table and chairs, and not given any thought to the comfort of their guests. We would absolutely not return or recommend. We were glad to leave.

• Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing as you are right on the beach and there are a good few restaurants around and there is a bar/restaurant around the corner that is very nice would highly recommend. The mattress was not very soft that was the only bad experiences but loved the stay as location was amazing.

• Andrew (8/5): Nice place to stay. - Pleasant apartment in a convenient location. Very basically equipped, you will need your own laundry detergent and shampoo. Minimal number of plates and cutlery so you can't entertain anyone else. Could be noisy in summer with bars and carpark outside the door.

• Paula (7/5): Good for a quick stopover on route. - Short walk to the port and beach. Spotlessly clean and great bathroom. Handy to have washing machine. Very friendly and helpful host. Pictures made it look like a sea view but you are really in a carpark. It was fine for 1-2 nights. Needs better pillows.

• Vicky (8/5): Nice new apartment - Good location. Newly built/ decorated. Owner met us to show us round and give us the keys. Very clean. Quiet. Bed was a little too hard for us personally. Could do with something to hold the shower rather than needing to hold it by hand. A full length mirror and hairdryer would be useful additions but overall a very nice apartment
• Lorraine (10/5): Secret hideaway! - We loved everything about this cosy fontline apartment. So close to the sea and amongst plentiful restaurants, particulary fish ones, which we loved! The apartment is spotlessly clean, easy parking right outside, sun and warmth practially all day long. Water pressure good and plenty of hot water for showers (note that currently the water is turned off at midnight until 07.30hrs for preservation during the drought situation). Washing machine provided, although we didn't use. Enough kitchen equipment for simple meals e.g breakfast or picnic prep. Wifi good too. Will definitley return if we find a vacant spot in Reynurbans diary! Numbering of the apartment, details state number 6 but the apartment we stayed in is actually numbered 1, adjoining number 2! Couldn't find 6 on inital arrival!
• Hayden (10/5): Clean, spacious apartment in great location - Great location, next to a beach and only a short 10 min walk to the marina. There are several restaurants in the vicinity and plenty of free parking outside the apartment. Everything was very clean and comfortable with everything provided for our 4 day stay. Even had a washing machine. Plenty of sunshine on the spacious terrace from morning till late afternoon. We liked everything but a couple of tips.... kettle (especially for us British tea drinkers), larger mugs, and a shower head holder in the shower. Didn't spoil our stay, though. Would definitely use again.
• Kevin (9/5): Had an excellent time in Duquesa and can recommend the apartment wholeheartedly. - Location was good as we wanted to be in the Castillo rather than the Puerto de la Duquesa. Very quiet at this time of year but assume it would be much busier in high season. Plenty of parking, easy to find and the host was very good with handing over the keys and providing any information needed. Would have appreciated a kettle for the kitchen but could use the coffee maker or microwave for hot water so not a problem.

• Rv (1/5): Good location but serious dust issues that caused us an allergic reaction - Good location a few minutes’ walk from the port. We checked in to apartment 2 at around 8pm. We then left for dinner and didn’t return until after 11pm. It looked clean enough but both my partner and I had continuous coughing fits that made him vomit - neither of us could sleep. We were mystified but it felt as though there was fine dust in the air being recirculated by the air conditioning (heating) unit. When we ran our fingers on the walls and skirting we found fine dust of the sort that is produced when walls are sanded or something is drilled. This was in the bedroom where there were no external windows - there was one “window” that opened into an enclosed little space between apartments one and two, the roof of which had been covered off by a clear sheet of some sort. This meant no fresh ventilation in the bedroom. We left the apartment at 3.30 am and checked into a hotel. I was not a fan of the decor in the apartment but that is obviously subjective! I would never stay there again but perhaps the dust is not a problem for everyone.
