• judit (10/5): Inmillorable!!!!! - El personal súper atent! I t'explica que es cada cosa del teu sopar japonés. També dir que está situat entre arrossals i m'ha recordat casa meva. Está apartat però tenen servei de transfer. Res a comentar.

• Rebekah (9/5): Amazing service, lovely location, beautiful and clean facilities. - The owner was super hospitable and spoke very good english. The inn itself was in good condition and located within beautiful mountain scenery and farms. It was a lovely countryside escape!
• Enara (10/5): - Era increíble, una habitación grande con calefacción y futones muy cómodos. Vistas al jardín nevado. Teníamos Kimonos a nuestra disposición en la habitación con té que nos renovaban cada mañana. Tienen onsen que pudimos utilizarlo de forma privada. El desayuno es espectacular y hay posibilidad de cena pegando un suplemento. La cena fue abundante, muy completa y variada. El personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento. El alojamiento está a 15 minutos en coche desde el centro de Takayama, pero ofrecen transporte al centro y recogida (está incluido en el precio del alojamiento). Ha sido una estancia maravillosa.

• Angela (10/5): Consigliato - Bellissima esperienza!! Dotato di onsen, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di utilizzarlo privatamente, come famiglia. Consiglio di consumare la cena della struttura: tipica cena kaiseki, servita e illustrata da personale super gentile, da consumare comodamente in yukata. È raggiungibile solo in macchina, ma se necessario offrono trasporto da e per la struttura. L’hotel è un po’ datato, ma pulitissimo e ben tenuto, in zona periferica di Takayama, fra risaie e bosco. Lo consiglio sicuramente per una esperienza caratteristica. Nulla
• Paula (10/5): Paz y tranquilidad - Antiguo Ryokan de 150 años regentado por los dueños. El entorno es súper tranquilo y precioso. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias, así como los baños y el onsen. Recomiendo muchísimo cenar y desayunar en el hotel. Estaba todo buenísimo.

• Fernando (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were on every detail. Very good communication ahead of arrival. Pick up and drop off at station at no extra cost. Includes nice basic onsen, large room and meal on an extra charge (traditional kaiseki meal which was the best of our stay)

Our room had a beautiful view of a garden, and we were the only guests to use the female facilities, so were lucky to have the onsen to ourselves! The meals were beyond my expectations!! Delicious, so much variety, and large portions! And the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! Nothing!

• Tian (10/5): Lovely place away from Takayama - Excellent all round, from ambience, service, dinner and facilities (including an onsen we could use privately as we were the only guests) providing the perfect traditional Ryokan experience. Shuttle to and from Takayama Station was very helpful.

• Eric (10/5): Beautiful - Shitanda offered that traditional Ryokan experience we were looking for. From the beautiful garden and building to the small onsen and delicious Japanese food, it was a perfect getaway from Tokyo. The staff was also incredibly kind. The crisp cool outside air could not blow, even with the screened windows open. However, the provided fan and AC helped circulate the air within the room.

Onsen is 24 hours and is a very nice one, especially in the morning with natural light. Breakfast was excellent and very big. The inn was almost empty so they put us in the best room (I think) with a view on beautiful garde and pond with koi fishes. The other window had the view of rice fields and mountains. It is a bit far from takayama (10 mins drive) but if you have car or can use bus it's the best choice. Seriously can't recommend it enough. 10/10

And great owner who was incredible polite. It’s a little far from center but owner offers free transport from Takayama. Thank you for great Japanese experience ! Nothing!!
• Kyriakos (10/5): Great ryokan experience - Great ryokan experience. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Clean facilities. They made us feel like home. Breakfast and dinner was surprisingly tasty and generous! Thank you for the hospitality! The ryokan is kinda far from Takayama, however they provide a car pick-up to center, which is really helpful.

• Ola (10/5): Exceptional - Traditional Japanese stay: sleeping on mats, bathing in the onsen, delicious breakfast! The room has a lot of space, a view of the garden, warm and cozy. Lovely rural setting. Transportation from and to Takayama Station.
