• Guillem (8/5): It’s fine! - Very caring family and always willing to help. Big room and super cheap price. The room had a very strong smell, also no air conditioning nor breakfast included. The bathroom was a bit dirty.
• Arianna (4/5): - The family is very kind and helpful, and the room was big. But the bathroom was very dirty and in terrible condition. There were mosquitoes and ants everywhere, the shower hose was broken and water sprayed all over, and there was a strong bad smell. It was really unpleasant to stay there because of the bathroom.
• Nisrine (10/5): - L'accueil était très chaleureux, et le propriétaire très gentil. Il nous a beaucoup aidé et a fait de son mieux pour que notre séjour se passe bien. Nous avons bien mangé, le petit déjeuner était délicieux.
• Larisa (8/5): - Это частный небольшой Отэль на 3 гостевые комнаты на втором этаже с просторным залом и выходом на террасу. Номер на троечку, но всё есть и место искупает. Кондиционер можно оставить включённым, когда уходишь, на ночь выключить и спать будет тихо и не жарко. Хорошее местоположение: 5 - 7 минут и ты у озера, по живописному берегу приходишь к храму Зуба Будды, рядом дворец принцессы. С террасы отэля прекрасный вид на противоположный склон. Хозяин очень доброжелательный. Можно до приезда попросить его заказать тук-тук на вокзал, обойдётся около 250 рупий, машина дороже, конечно. Иначе можно сильно переплатить. Номер не уютный. Хотелось бы противомоскитную сетку на окна так как балдахина нет. Ночью без кондиционера не жарко, но душновато. Можно было бы приоткрыть окно. И хотя бы обновить шторы на окнах.
• Hansa (10/5): Exceptional - The host went out of his way to help on many occasions, picking me up from the bus station, dropping me back, he even took me to a local laundrette, at no extra cost. He was always helpful with arranging excursions and transport. The family was so friendly and cooked me a lovely evening meal. I particularly felt the host's sincerity. Being disabled all his kindness was heartfelt and made a big difference to my whole experience and stay in Kandy
• Chantal (7/5): good for one night:) - we stayed one night in the "Serenity". it is in a quiet and calm neighbourhood that is a bit above the lake. the house, like the room, is spacious and has even a balcony and a common area. the host ist really friendly and we felt welcomed and safe at all times. our guess is that the Serenity was once a really beautiful hotel. the house and everything tells tails from beautiful times... it just lacks a bit of ... love and care..?... at this point. everything seems a bit neglected, faded and old. the windows and mirrors are dusty and dirty, the beds are worn out.. we hope it could become great once more with a bit of energy put into it. that being said, it was still very much okay for the price and for one night. just a mosquito net would be great, there were tons of mozzies during the night which made it not the most peaceful one. (and the fan is too loud and noisy to sleep with it).
• Ashermiddleton (9/5): A great location with a great host. - The location was great, the house is really nice and spacious. 7 of us stayed here comfotably. Summith was a great host - so kind and knowledgeable with great English.
• Marie (10/5): Lovely serenity house - The house is really well situated. You just walk one minute and you are in the lake and few minutes more you are in the famous temple. Inside the house we feel in peace and silence. The hosts are more than helpfull. I was really feel like beeings in my family. They really take care of me. The breakfast also is so great and change everyday. So u can learn about the local food. /

• Heli (9/5): Peaceful and comfortable stay - Really friendly family, comfortable bed and nice room. It was also quite peaceful area.
• Llorens (9/5): Superb - What I liked the most was my conexion with the owner, Sumith. He speaks English so you could have long conversations. He has a very full life of experiences due to the different jobs he had. He also helped me a lot in getting train tickets and on the last day he even took me to the station. A very human person. Regarding the accommodation, it is a very old house with vintage furniture but the rooms are spacious, clean and with hot water in the bath and mine with views of the hills of the lake. Another advantage is that it is very central and you can walk everywhere. Recommended They serve a typical Sri Lanka breakfast but due to my problem of getting Dick if I eat spicy I didn't enjoy it.

They were really welcoming, made us tea and very tasty local breakfast, helped us with organising and answered every question we had. We definitely recommend!

• Adéla (10/5): Clean room, A/C, great owner - The owner speaks perfect English, he was also really helpful with buying train tickets from Kandy to Ella. There is A/C in the room and hot water. It’s approximately 1,5 km from the Temple of the tooth and 3 km from the train station. There is a lot of space for parking not only scooters but also a car could fit in there :) We were really satisfied in this accommodation. The rooms were impeccably neat, and the spacious areas available for us to roam around and explore the beautiful ornaments were among the highlights of our visit. We especially enjoyed the separate living room and kitchen, which provided a homely atmosphere. The assistance and warm hospitality from the Uncle, Aunt, and Sister made our stay even more specia, they truly hold a special place in our hearts. We also highly recommend the breakfast, which offered an authentic Sri Lankan traditional taste that we thoroughly enjoyed. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

The location is absolutely fantastic, with a beautiful balcony view that made my mornings so enjoyable. The owner was incredibly polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. What really stood out to me was how kid-friendly the stay was. My kid had a blast, which made our vacation that much more enjoyable. And let's not forget about the morning coffee - it was truly extraordinary. The Kandyan aroma combined with the delicious coffee made for a perfect start to each day. I highly recommend Serenity to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming stay in Kandy.
• Kamile (9/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful house. I stayed at a charming retro style triple room. Loved the vibe of it. Good and quiet location, close to the lake. The view from the balcony is amazing.
• Leia (9/5): Superb - Quiet clean place. Lovely, very caring owners, ready to help at any minute. Spacious room. Comfy bed and pillows. Hot water. Good location The air con was a bit loud and made rattling sounds but it was not so hot at night in Kandy so I just switched it off

We weren't able to get a taxi to the train station and the family was so helpful by bringing us there. Really recommend if you want to experience a pleasant home stay :)
