The host tried to get more money from us for the cleaning fee one day before we travelled. But our booking confirmation showed that it was included. Booking.com found out that she had changed the website after we booked. So we didn't have to pay for the cleaning fee. Even before we started to have a nice break, she left a horrible taste in our mouths.
Be aware! for the new booking she is asking for an extra fee for the cleaning, so watch out!
The photo of the living room sofa does not exist, as shown on the website. So after a long day out, when you come back to this property, don't think you can sit on a nice sofa and relax. We couldn't because she put some kind of horrible cushion on the floor next to the filing cabinet, soaking wet on the top, god knows why, because we couldn't find out.
Everywhere is very dirty, including the walls, doors, and carpets. We booked it for three nights, but we could hardly stay for one night, it was too late to book anything else when we arrived at the property. So we had to stay the first night. I contacted booking.com, but they replied by email and said they were going to answer in 24 hours. We didn't want to stay one more minute there, so in the morning, we left the property.
In the bathroom, the bath had a horrible black something on it we didn't want to touch to find out. The toilet holder and towel holder were coming out of the wall. I wanted to have a shower after a long day out, but that was impossible, half the shower curtain wasn't there, the rest of the curtain was stuck with the Sellotape, and the shower holder was so wobbly it was nearly coming out of the wall. We couldn't sit and relax in the living room, so we decided to sit on the bed instead and watch something on our laptop. But we couldn't, the only plug, in that room wasn't working. Also, the next-door neighbour wasn’t friendly at all.
Pay a little more and book somewhere else, because booking.com doesn’t give a refund, even after seeing all our photos, how horrible the house is.
We are in tier 3 on booking.com; it shows we stayed in a lot of places, but this is the worst place we have ever stayed.

No TV, WiFi and no internet signal at the property!
As a customer, we haven't got any rights. booking.com, listening to the property owner. if the property owner is nice and agrees with the refund, you get it. In our case, we didn't get 2 days refund.
SO THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BOOK THIS PROPERTY!
the response we received from the host was dismissive and unhelpful, which only adds to the frustration. It's disappointing when issues like these aren't acknowledged, and hosts try to shift the blame onto guests rather than addressing the problems with the property. A better approach would have been for the host to take responsibility and make efforts to resolve the issues or offer some form of compensation.
Hopefully, sharing my experience will help others make informed decisions and encourage the platform to handle these situations more fairly in the future.
- Joseph (1/5): Bad - I did not stay at this facility because I arrived there before midnight, and there was nobody to receive us. We were stranded! So, I had to get Bolt to at £160, to drive me all the way to Essex! Totally Inconvenienced!
