• Piratheepan (10/5): The one to choose for in chania town - Very friendly and family atmosphere when we stayed 3 nights in this place, the host Alex owner of the property made us feel welcomed and looked after us throughout our stay with his local knowledge. Also his recommendation for Cretan traditional food is delicious, we stayed in superior apartment: very quiet and peaceful in the city with beautiful looking patio. The location is key to this property everything you needed in just few minutes away. Please keep up the great work and hospitality Nothing

• Dinesh Somashekar (9/5): - Location is great - its very close to the happening places in Chania. Its a nice 3-storey house, which is great for families. If you are having a car, the place has a good parking slot, which is a boon in the narrow downtown area. And the best part is the host Alex, who is a fantastic person. He is very helpful, always available and super friendly. WiFi is a bit slow & patchy but considering that we were on a vacation, it wasn't a factor for us. Like many houses in Europe, wooden flooring is creaky and walls are not sound proof at all, making the smallest sound travel across the entire apartment.
• Wilma (10/5): The character of the house made our stay in Chania a memorable one - The property is a wonderful traditional home with so much interesting family history. Alex told us about his grandfather’s experience during the war. The house is within walking distance of two beaches and there are fascinating archaeological sites in the immediate area with current continuing excavations in progress. Great choice of low cost high quality food and restaurant. The harbour has a vibrant bustling atmosphere. The house we booked had a steeper staircase between ground and upper floor than we’d anticipated. Alex on greeting us at reception and recognising that the stairs might present difficulty, (before showing us inside the house) suggested he could relocate us into one of his more suitable properties… but we liked the house so much that we chose to manage the stairs with care. So this isn’t a negative comment about the house but more to do with personal capabilities. The owner was available to help with any request and the cleaning staff were extremely pleasant.
• Thomas (8/5): Schöner Aufenthalt in super-zentraler Lage mit Parkplatz. - Lage top! Absolut sauber. Sehr netter Empfang mit Getränken im Kühlschrank! Täglich frische Handtücher sowie auch Bettenmachen ist schön, aber eigentlich gar nicht nötig. Schön hergerichtetes Apartment. Haar-Shampoo/Duschgel vorhanden. Parkplatz ist echt vorteilhaft. Fehlender Vorhang an der Terrasse macht Frühstück da oben schwierig, da man in der Sonne sitzt. Etwas mehr Ausstattung (Besteck, Weingläser, etc.) wäre gut. Die Treppe im Apartment ist steil - wenn man also nachts mal zum Bad muss, muss man wirklich vorsichtig sein. Gleiches gilt, wenn man ein Tablett hoch oder runter balanciert. Duschkabine sehr klein und mit Vorhang, aber das geht da halt nicht anders. Zusammen mit dem Parkplatz nicht sehr preiswert aber noch ok.

• Kerry (10/5): Highly recommend! Wonderful hosts and location in the old town, 10 minute walk from the bus station but also with privat - Superb location and really wonderful hosts. Private car parking, very quiet and peaceful with ancient ruins surrounding us (in the old town). Also a washing machine - a big plus. Hosts also kindly loaded the fridge with beer coke wine. So kind. Apartment was fantastic for 5 of us travelling - thank you so much - we hope to return one day! Nothing - everything was perfect!

Abbiamo percepito un'atmosfera così familiare che ci ha fatto davverro rilassare. Stavamo nel cortile del borghetto al rientro della giornata, dove vi erano tavolo e sedie a nostra disposizione. Possibilità di aggiungere un posto auto molto comodo in quanto nel centro storico è permesso parcheggiare solo ai residenti permanenti. Alex vi da consigli ottimi anche su ristoranti. nulla

• Hannah (10/5): Charming historic house in perfect location - We were in the two bedroom house. It was traditional and very charming. We had a warm welcome on arrival. The courtyard was beautiful and shaded. Most of all the location was perfect - very quiet cul de sac but just a few minutes walk from the heart of Chania old town and the harbour. It is also the centre of archeological finds on Crete! It is a historic property. The stairs are therefore very steep which weren’t an issue for us, but the 2-bed house option is probably not the property for anyone with mobility problems/young children. Charming though!

Everything kept clean and fresh daily. Attentive and friendly hosts. Some key kitchen utensils like toaster and frying pan would have been helpful, although in fairness we were out mostly because of the spectacular food options locally. Some old/odd furniture providing opportunities for stubbed toes.

While the apartment itself was charming and steeped in traditional Cretan decor, it was the hospitality that truly made our stay unique. The host went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, from the moment we arrived until the day we left. It’s clear that when the owner is directly involved, you can expect a level of care and attention that truly elevates your stay. The host’s dedication to making us feel welcome and comfortable was the heart and soul of our experience. Kasteli Suites is perfectly located in the heart of Chania, just a short walk from the vibrant Venetian port. We highly recommend exploring the area on foot as the central location makes it easy to access everything without the need for a car. The apartment's traditional decor offers a nostalgic glimpse into Crete’s past, though some of the furniture and appliances show their age. While this adds to the rustic charm, it does come with a few quirks-like creaky doors and a bathroom door that occasionally gets stuck. One aspect to be mindful of is the noise level. As the building is not soundproofed, early risers might find themselves awakened by the sounds of daily activity around 7 a.m., which may impact light sleepers. Overall, despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was still incredibly enjoyable thanks to the outstanding hospitality and the unbeatable location.

House was charming. The area is quiet, but not more than a few minutes by foot away from the old harbour.

• David (3/5): Disapointing - It was in an excellent location It was very basic, Spartan accommodation. The stay was ruined by the fact that the host failed to meet with us as arranged and we had to sit around for 2 hours attempting to make contact with him. Eventually we tracked down an alternative number and were treated with contempt when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the appalling service.
• Angela (10/5): Our stay was incredibly welcoming and comfortable! Our host, Alex, was both kind and helpful. - The location was safe and perfect! Right next to numerous shops and delicious restaurants. Our host, Alex, sat with us and mapped out our entire stay in Crete! Thanks to him, we experienced the most beautiful beach we have ever seen in our lives. The shower was tiny and did not have a door.
• Aleksandr (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place to stay in Chania We really enjoyed our time in Kastelli Suites, host was very welcoming and helpful. He suggested great places and activites to visit and how to get there, also did recommend few very nice restaurants with locale food and answered all questions we had. The apartment was great and was cleaned every day. It had everything we needed and we would recommend it with no hesitation
• Pamela (10/5): We fell in love with the town and its history. - The bougainvillea covered the archway into the small courtyard that lead to our room. The room was comfortable, cool and clean. Alex was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

• Margaret (10/5): I have no hesitation of recommending these apartments. - The property was ideal situated and very well equipped. The location was in a very quiet area and easily located. Out host was amazing. Always at hand and most helpful. On out last day he allowed us to remain in the apartment until evening as we had a late flight. If I had a negative, the bed was creaking quite a lot.
• Jenny (10/5): Wonderful apartment, clean, great location, lovely owners - Wonderful apartment, super clean, very central, in a lovely quiet courtyard and lots of little places to get a morning coffee nearby. There is parking very close by. Owner Alex is very friendly and helpful and has lots of great tips about the best things to do in the area. They also kindly left us drinks in the fridge for when we arrived. We had a fantastic time and I highly recommend this apartment

• Yianni (9/5): We came as guests and left as friends. - Incredibly friendly and warm service from Mr Alexis. All requests handled with pleasure. Honestly you won’t find a nicer host in the true spirit of Greek Filoxenia (google the term!). Location close to old port, LOTS of restaurants and tavernas nearby! Eventually we had to check out and leave!
• Sandy (9/5): A wonderful stay indeed. - A beautiful apt on ideal location. Host is wonderful, helpful and kind… a restored family home they are so proud of, and it shows. Water pump is a bit noisy, but only on when in use, so not a big deal at all.

• Laurissa (9/5): Lovely little house tucked into one of the side streets in Chania. - The house was very nice and spacious, set on it's own little courtyard with the other properties. It was a 2 minute or so to the old harbour and very convenient. Alex was very helpful in answering our questions about where to go/how to get places and called around for times for buses/taxis whenever we asked. A very nice holiday for our family! The beds were a little on the hard side for a couple of us but not all of us - so that said everyone is different and, all in all, they were still pretty comfy!

• Milennath (10/5): Amazing host - Great location - Adorable property - Location was perfect. walking distance everywhere but still to sleep away from the noise. Alex is a wonderful host. late check in? not a problem. rented a car and need parking? not a problem we had water and other type of drinks in the room, very thoughtful of him since we drove from heraklio a late at night. he was always available to make our stay a memorable one. the room and property in general are on good condition. this is not modern, quite the opposite, you step back in time and it becomes the best experience ever! Room/suite was very comfortable I’d recommend kasteli suites and would definitely stay here again! everything was very good. I am used to more pillows and Alex provided them right away. all you gotta do is ask :)
