Guest Reviews
- Simon (9/5): We had a lovely relaxing stay - We loved the location and the space and the comfort. It was really well appointed and had plenty of kitchen utensils and crockery. Well enough for more than the six people staying The parking outside is really non-existent during waking hours, due to a double yellow. The back yard is literally just enough to dry some clothes, which is OK as we were at the beach but if you were thinking of spending some time in it, it was OK to sit and read and that's it
- Mai (10/5): -
- Justine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucinda (8/5): Wonderful, we loved every minute. - It is a wonderful property, right in the centre of Newport, within a short walk to all restaurants and amenities. The parking advice was conflicted (both on booking.com and in the book in the house) and needs updating.
The two spaces outside the property can’t be used. One is privately owned by next door and the other has double yellow lines and is not a parking bay. We spoke to the traffic warden who said this is a recurrent issue because guests are told they can park there when they legally can’t and fines are enforceable. There is parking further up the street towards the church or down in the car park, which isn’t very far (5 min walk), if you drop luggage off first.
It wasn’t an issue for us, but guests should be aware when booking so they don’t end up with a parking fine.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable and well equipped Parking statements are now wrong (according to the property handbook).
- Pamela (9/5): Comfortable holiday home. Highly recommend unless you have mobility issues. - Loved the beds.
Liked the kitchen equipment. Comfortable furnishings. We all had to park down the steep hill at the public car park, despite me being a blue badge holder.
- Alexis (10/5): We had a very relaxing stay. - Gwylfa provides spacious accommodation which was clean and well equipped. Nothing.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely spacious house in the heart of Newport with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Excellent large comfortable double beds and two super baths, ideal for a soak after long treks along the coastal path, or through the Preseli Hills. Very well-equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend Assumed there was a guaranteed parking spot that came with the house. That isn't the case but we found free parking nearby even at the height of the summer season so it wasn't an issue.
- June (10/5): A spacious cottage, sympathetically renovated whilst providing all mod. cons. Loved it! -
