- James (7/5): It’s a lovely cottage which could do with a bit of better maintenance. Very expensive all things considered. - The location is just perfect, walkable to 2 beaches, 5 minutes drive from Padstow and very quite. The village is very small. There is an excellent Village shop 5 minutes walk away from the property with the most delicious food. On arrival (very late at night) we’ve realised that the property didn’t have any bedsheets. This was not clearly indicated in the arrival pack we received earlier. We had to hire bedsheets next day from a local dry cleaners and it cost us £250 extra. Also, the property was absolutely filthy. I had to Hoover and wash it, the carpets were smelly, the hoover bag (which I’ve changed) was rock solid from dirt, when we moved a sofa (we were looking for a missing chess piece) there were old socks, food , packaging and ridiculous amount of dust there. Bookshelf was so dusty, I couldn’t touch any book. The socket in kids bedroom came off the wall, the kitchen surfaces were very dirty too. Such a shame! I’ve cleaned it thoroughly before we left because I felt so bad for the next guests!
