The shower had some mould around the base and it took a very long time for the water to run warm.

• Darrell (1/5): No working elevator no HVAC No Hot water - other than the location nothing. Non working elevator unton our arrival. Then no AC in our room than no hot water. We were forced to leave early and find a new hotel. No AC, no hot water, no elevator, and downgraded to a studio at full price — avoid this place. We booked a two-bedroom, two-bath for our family of four. The elevator was broken on arrival, the AC didn’t work, and the owner told us to “just open the windows” in 92°F heat. We were then downgraded to a studio but charged the same, and the next day moved again into another unit with no hot water. The owner said “cold showers were fine” — unacceptable with two kids. We had to leave mid-vacation to find another hotel. This was a complete failure to deliver the promised room, amenities, and basic customer care.

Elles ont illuminé notre séjour à Lecce. Un grand merci à elles ! Nous avons dormi dans la chambre n.4. Mieux vaut éviter cette chambre: elle est vraiment très bruyante (route très fréquentée même si c’est une zone soit-disant à trafic limité et bar bruyant juste sous les fenêtres ) et le lit double est très très inconfortable (chaque mouvement d’un des dormeurs est ressenti par l’autre).

• Danny_UK (4/5): Wouldn't recommend it due to the facility issues - The hotel was in a good location, and the roof terrace attached to our room was really lovely. The receptionist Flavia was lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately the hotel is let down by the facilities. The hotel's hot water was broken for 3 days of our stay (Friday - Monday) so our room only had freezing cold water to shower in. The window in the bathroom near our bedroom couldn't be shut which made it noisy with the sound from the rooftop and music nearby. The hotel offered just a €50 euro discount on the stay for the inconvenience of cold water for 3 days, this was increased to a 20% discount.

Het zit aan de rand van een gebied met toegangsbeperking (~TL) voor auto's, maar je kunt ook tijdens de uren dat het gebied gesloten is vlakbij komen met de auto. Er is een bewaakte parkeergelegenheid op loopafstand. Vanuit het hotel loop je zo het stadscentrum in met vele leuke restaurantjes.

• Janice (8/5): We loved the Staff! The food was great and the grounds are beautiful!!! - This is a very unique Hotel. It is small and not predictable. It has some quirky rooms, with interesting bathroom layouts, we are older and wished a more conventional bathroom, which they readiily accommodated for us! The aesthetic is beautiful and bohemian, but comfort is important too. I do feel the aesthetic in some areas ruled comfort.

• Alexander (9/5): Comfortable stay in property full of character - We enjoyed staying at this property which is a lovingly renovated building using the characteristic Lecce stone with a bit of an artistic vibe. The location was excellent- just slightly off the town centre so reasonably quiet but very close to sights, bars and restaurants. We stayed in the first floor two room unit which stepped onto a lovely terrace with a view of the entrance to the old town. The accommodation was spacious, bright, well equipped with kitchenette and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but with good local products and a friendly welcome from Carmen. We didn’t use any other facilities so can’t comment on those. We felt at reception Martina provided an excellent check- in experience, was easy to communicate with and took an interest in the guests well-being, regularly enquiring if everything was fine. We appreciated the information about local restaurants and they proved to be good recommendations. All in all we had a very comfortable and restful stay in beautiful Lecce. Would come again. Hot water could be intermittent. I understand the large terrace is communal for all guests which might raise privacy issues for the two units directly adjoining the terrace at busier times. Not a problem when we were there so not a dislike, but something to be aware / to check with hotel at time of booking, if that may be a concern for you.
• Michael (6/5): Great location, but disappointing - The hotel is in a historical building within a historical city. A wonderful location. Comments as mentioned to Martina during our stay: Generally I felt like the hotel didn’t live up to its description on booking.com. Its listing mentioned several facilities that do not exist (examples being fitness facilities, wellness, personal trainer…and others). I mentioned this and was told that some of the wellness facilities are associated with a specific room in the hotel. Also it lists a restaurant, but it really only has a breakfast room; guest should be aware that they aren’t able to order food or drinks to enjoy on the terrace (other than the drinks provided in the mini bar). When I read other comments & replies (for example about it not being clear that terraces are shared) there is a general pattern of over-selling the hotel, I feel. My wife and I slept well in the hotel. But the staircase in the junior suite isn’t great. I’ve read in response to another comment that it has been declared safe, but it’s definitely not for everyone.
• Neil (6/5): A disappointing stay in a beautiful building - Excellent location. Beautiful building. On arrival we were shown to our room and it was explained to us that there had been a problem with the electricity and shown the fuse box to fix it if it happened again, apparently the electrician was coming the following day. It was fine until we returned late afternoon of the following day - no power. We messaged Martina via WhatsApp and after a little while she came and explained the electrician had been unable to fix it quickly. She agreed to put us in a different room pointing out it was an upgrade but offering little in way of an apology, leaving us to pack up and move ourselves. This was not the only issue - the bathroom door handle in the original room fell off completely - when we mentioned it, they apparently were aware of this too! The property description should also make clear that the terrace of our room, 'Junior Suite with Terrace', is a shared space with the adjacent room and that the stairs to the bedroom, with alternate steps for left and right feet, would be difficult for anyone with even slightly impaired mobility. We were very disappointed in our stay which was by far the most expensive of our Puglia trip and the worst experience. On leaving we raised our dissatisfaction only to be told there was nothing they could do. Timely repairs would be best but a little customer service could have gone a long way - we accept these things happen but it is the way they are dealt with which makes the difference.

Also, there was a second floor loft in our room that is not insulated whatsoever and sounds like a train above anytime someone walked up there.

The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast uses fresh local produce, much of it coming from the family farm. Room was comfortable with good facilities. We would stay here again when in Lecce.

Its location inside the historic city is superb for walking to all the important sites and restaurants. The breakfast was sumptuous and very tasty. Roberto and his staff are great hosts!

We highly recommend this property if you decide to visit. Paid parking available within 5 min walk just outside city walls. The location was also brilliant. We very much enjoyed sitting in the rooftop garden in the evening, looking down at the Porta di Napoli and the local people and visitors taking their evening strolls in the square below. The location was also excellent for getting to the main sites in the city. On a practical note, LuLeccio is also very close to a secure car park, should you have a car. The outside area for our room had no view and was effectively by a passageway - but I can see that there was little other option for a room on the ground floor. And the hand-basin had no proper plug - very elegant but not efficient!

It felt congested as you entered. Too many plants in the way. The entrance could be way nicer. And reception is upstairs and not obvious. I had a ‘suite’ but it was dark and uninviting. The rooms upstairs were nicer.

Bedroom was upstairs. Very difficult to take suitcase up. Accomodation was of a good size but the layout was not good and we felt that the stairs were not safe. Breakfast was very expensive and you were not given a choice. Too much food all prepared & put in front of you. A buffet would have been better.
