Andreas (9/5): Lieblings-Unterkunft in der Eifel gefunden! - Wer auf der Suche nach einer ganz besonderen Unterkunft in der Eifel ist, wird die Schmökermühle lieben! Ein wunderschönes "Bücher-Refugium", ein gemütlicher Frühstücksraum und sehr sympathische Inhaber machen den Aufenthalt in diesem B&B zu einem tollen Urlaubserlebnis. Die schöne Umgebung mit einem Traumpfad, der direkt am Haus startet, machen alles perfekt. Unser "Bahnzimmer" war zur Straße ausgerichtet, was in den Morgenstunden zu etwas Lärm-Beeinträchtigung führte. Dem Tipp der lieben Bernadette, beim nächsten mal das "Bücherzimmer" zum Garten zu buchen, kommen wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch gerne nach.
Rainer (9/5): Immer wieder gerne! - Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr lecker, frische Brötchen mit Aufschnitt, Joghurt und etwas Obst. Der Brohlbach rauscht direkt hinter dem Haus vorbei, und man sieht von der kleinen Terrasse in die Wiesen auf der Talseite gegenüber. Ideal zum Entspannen! Spannend dagegen ist das Viadukt der Brohltal-Eisenbahn, das fast direkt über das Haus hinweg führt. 1-2mal am Tag fahren Schmalspurzüge darüber. Ein Highlight für Eisenbahnfans. Bernadette und Klaus, sowie ihre beiden Hunde sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber, mit denen man sich hervorragend unterhalten kann. Das einzige, was mir nicht so gefallen hat, war der Berufsverkehr ab halb sechs Uhr morgens. Aber... da kann man nichts machen! Außer vielleicht Schallschutzfenster einbauen.

Christa (9/5): Schöner Aufenthalt mit sehr gutem Frühstück und fürsorglichen Gastgebern. - Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und außergewöhnlich gut. Mit den Gastgebern hatten wir informative und liebevolle Gespräche. Es war mir und meiner Cousine eine Freude, in der Schmökermühle zu logieren. Gerne wieder. Danke

Deborah (9/5): A lovely place well situated. - The hosts are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are a decent size, and there's the ability to buy reasonably priced drinks in a small kitchen area. There are a number of places around the house that are open for guests, such as the library and seating by the stream that runs below the house. Highly recommended! The breakfast is quite pricey, and the accommodation is on a main road. This is helpful in getting there though.

Thirsa (10/5): Peaceful retreat - Klaus and Bernadette, are excellent hosts. Their warmth, knowledge and kindness made our stay extra special. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable and the location fabulous. Numerous hiking possibilities right on the doorstep, a soothing creek that runs along the building is an added bonus and we highly recommend having breakfast in the library. The collection of books is a true labour of love and really adds to the rustic and peaceful atmosphere.
