• Pauline (8/5): We enjoyed our stay & overall apartment was a 7/8 out of 10 - very minor complaints bit worth noting for future - Very roomy & close to main strip - stairs are a killer! Lack of attention to detail in property, only 2 hand towels & 2 main towels for the whole property - one set with holes in, no towels to change whilst sets were being washed. Safe not working….a lot of little things needed attention to detail - a little tired could do with being painted & freshened up, stainless steel on vanity units not polished, hob not clean, main bathroom had bits of coving hanging down along with bath needed re-enamelled.
• Ken (8/5): Enjoyable - Cool apartment. Neat, clean, well maintained Code instructions and key collection was a bit confusing. Wrong code and wrong keys provided. Had to rely on neighbour to get in the main gate initially as the set of keys with the main gate key were in the inside lockbox!

• Rob (9/5): Our stay was lovely, great communications from the letting agent. Room is lovely large easy accommodate family of 4-6 ki - The property was modern, clean, spacious. It has beautiful views from the balcony and only 5 minutes walk to the main strip. We have no complaints about this property

• cristina (5/5): Stanze e bagno senza finestre, esperienza da non ripetere - Vista mare e spazi Doccia sporca siamo dovuti entrare con le ciabatte. I bagno e camere non hanno finestre e non funzionano le ventole essendo la stanza attaccata al bagno e avendo una porta con le astine quando andavamo in bagno la stanza si riempiva di odori e non avendo finestre non potevi neanche arieggiare. Terribile. Peccato perché poteva essere un bel appartamento
• Caroline (8/5): Great location but apartment access instructions very poor - The location was perfect and the apartment was beautiful. The balcony was a welcomed extra too, with a fabulous sea view The instructions sent out before we arrived were poor. Our transfer driver (booked through Booking.com) found the street but couldn't find our apartment. She kindly rang the owners who explained we needed to be at The Colony Club (Colony Club has never been mentioned in correspondence, only Splendour). So we eventually got to our apartment and opened the key box to find it empty so this warranted another phone call to the owner. They had not told us the keybox we needed was outside of the complex! We found it and retrieved the keys. I asked if we could have another set of keys as our son would be meeting up with friends and most likely be out later than us. Couple of days later someone brought a spare key for the door but not the main gate so pretty useless really! The intercom system would've been useful if it worked... So we had to make sure we all met at the end of the night to go home together. I had to request more glasses as 1 wine glass and 3 small glasses really isn't sufficient, the coffee cups were stained and dirty. And finally the safe didn't work, not good!
• Willy (7/5): Leuke week gehad. - n.v.t. Communicatie was niet mogelijk. Er is door de organisatie niet gereageerd op ons verzoek ervoor te zorgen dat het aanwezige glaswerk etc. werd aangevuld. Voor vier personen was er te weinig aanwezig. Verder was de organisatie ook telefonisch niet bereikbaar.
• Maura (8/5): We had a lovely stay. Had a delay getting the jet initially but was resolved quickly. Had a great time overall - Layout. Air conditioning. Free WiFi. Views. Felt safe Parts of complex (not apartment) need revamping. Safe needs replacing. We hadn’t the use of a safe during our stay.

• Katharine (10/5): A lovely, relaxing stay in the south of the island from which it was possible to visit attractions. - The location was excellent, close enough to the beach and the front with all its bars and shops, but far enough away to be quiet.
• Helen (9/5): Great property, in good location. Very clean and well appointed/equipped. Probably best suited to couples or those - Very clean and modern. Great south facing balcony that gets the sun throughout the day. Quiet despite being just one road up from the main strip. Well equipped kitchen, TV with multiple channels and apps you can log on to. Very comfortable and suitable for short or longer stays. Location great. Although great location would be difficult anyone with mobility issues on two counts. 1. Steep hill or over 100 steps up from main strip. However we found that if you went to SOCO shopping centre (Mercadona supermarket). You can get the lift to 3rd floor and exit through the car park so only a small hill to walk. Especially good if carrying shopping 2. Quite a lot of steps/stairs within the apartment .The stairs to bedrooms are quite high and could be difficult for some and potentially hazardous for toddling children. That said there is a child gate provided. The raised living area doesn’t have a rail or wall around so would need to be vigilant with young children Minor but pool area could do with some newer (and more in high season) sun beds. Pool is not heated but would probably be fine in the hotter months.

• Sherlock (8/5): except for the arrival issue the stay was very good. Great location. - Location of the property was excellent. Apartment was beautiful. We emailed to say we would be arriving in Lanzarote between 11-12pm so would be ready to go into the property by 3pm. When we arrived the apartment had not been cleaned and ew had to wait for the cleaners to arrive. In effect we could have gone to the apartment at 12 and dropped off our bags. It then took the cleaners an hour to clean the apartment. The cleaners though we were not arriving till 8pm.
• Tracy (6/5): Comfortable apt but numerous small issues remaining unresolved over 5 day was frustrating. - Apt is spacious, comfortable and very clean; in very quiet surroundings. Pool area was clean but we didn't use as weather was hot and no shaded area or umbrellas. Air conditioning units did work but blew hot air into the stairwell in the middle of the apt so we ended up using a fan instead. A few minor issues accessing the property (Initial lockbox code received didn't work, later email a different code worked but keys were not in the designated outside lockbox) but contacted the host who responded quickly and had someone open the gate for us. After this there were several miscommunications on various items as follows: On our first night the boiler that heats the water started leaking for about 20 minutes after one guest showered. There were items stored underneath which had been dry so this implied the leak was fresh....although there were some water marks on the wall so perhaps a recurring issue. We dried up the area and alerted the host who indicated a technican would come in the following day....when no-one arrived and the issue persisted after hot water was used we just collected the water in a bucket. Contacted the host again to advise no-one had arrived and they responded that the technician had to leave the island. I would expect the host to have advised that no technician was available and to enquire of the status of the leak so perhaps it is a known problem. A few other issues with kitchen items: toaster was broken, host agreed to replace but when contacted after 2 days they advised the toaster had been sent to a different apt. On our last morning the hob wouldn't switch on (it had worked previously).....again contacted the host with a short video to see if there was a way to get it to activate but didn't receive a reply. Finally, we couldn't find an outside location to dispose of rubbish bins; host was asked but didn't respond. Advised host on exit that we had left refuse in kitchen, host claimed that booking.com automated message had been sent re location of the containers. We didn't receive anything regarding the bins so not sure what the miscommunication was on this topic or where we missed the advice.
• Tracey (10/5): Beautiful apartment, excellent host and facilities. - Beautifully presented apartment, really clean with excellent facilities within the apartment. The rooms were spacious, with plenty of storage space, both with en-suite bathrooms. Great air conditioning in every room. The kitchen was well equipped and washing detergent, dishwasher tablets and washing powder left for us to use. A lovely sea view from the spacious balcony and situated in a quiet area close to the beach with bars and restaurants within walking distance. Couldn’t fault the apartment. We sent a couple of queries to the host and their response time was excellent. The level of customer care on top of a lovely apartment really made our stay memorable. The pool area was lovely although there wasn’t a great deal of sun-beds and very little shade. However this didn’t spoil our holiday as the beach facilities were excellent and we preferred being beside the bars and restaurants. Overall we couldn’t fault this apartment and would definitely return. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. Nothing. Possibly some shade around the pool if I wanted to be picky but I would imagine this would not be the hosts gift to give.
• Amy (5/5): Our experience was very stressful and disappointing and would not recommend this apartment. - The apartment is in a convenient location and was bright and clean On arrival the instruction to collect keys is not clear to follow and key difficult to locate. We were not given number of apartment and had to ring booking.com to be given this information as the name splendor is not on apartment door and I understand that there are approx 70 similar apartments in the complex. This was most stressful at the start of our holiday. There were too many steps in the apartment which makes it most unsuitable for very young or older people. There was no key to the safe box and when we WhatsApp the host we got no satisfactory response. All we were told that the previous occupier may have taken key. This left our valuables vulnerable.
• Jo (7/5): Stunning apartment - Stunning apartment, well equipped and good location unless mobility issues Oppressive heat in coming from the aircon units in central atrium. Only cool areas being the bedrooms. One set of keys and key needed to enter and exit pool area so 2 family members stuck in pool area until released. Insufficient hot water for 3 people to shower. Bottle of water in the fridge would have been very welcome. Colony club communal areas very tired

• Linda (10/5): Lovely accommodation and well located - Lovely property, beautifully decorated and finished. Very convenient for shops and beachfront We didn’t see any staff so can’t comment on that aspect but they did reply to emails eventually There was a child gate but would be wary of a small child on the deep marble stairs There was a communal pool but it was rather tired and didn’t offer umbrellas or any shade Nowhere to leave luggage on the last day and unable to offer a late checkout Could have done with reclining seats for the balcony

The apartment was spotless and well maintained, really tasteful decor, well equipped kitchen.
• Christine (9/5): Very comfortable and relaxing holiday - The property was very clean and modern. Both bedrooms, that were on the lower ground, had their own bathrooms which is a must when couples are sharing. The host also brought fresh towels during the week, even though there was laundry facilities. The balcony has a sea view. The property was in a quiet street even though it was only a few minutes walk to the main road and beach. Once on the main road there are plenty of bars and restaurants. We will definitely book again. That there was only one set of keys, and that you needed the main gate key to access the pool area.

• Claire (9/5): Great flat. - Great location a 5 min walk to the strip, spacious flat, beautifully clean, balcony a lovely sun trap. There was only enough hot water to take one shower in a short period of time if I was being very picky.
• Neil (6/5): Porto Carmen is a good location and has plenty of shops and cafes. The beaches are lovely. - Quality accommodation and good facilities, TV, Wi-Fi, etc. Good shower and water pressure. Nearby supermarket Keys for screen door, and swimming pool were a pain and only one copy. The steps in the lounge and stair down to the bedrooms were unexpected and quite difficult to get used to; steeper than in the UK and lower handrail. Quite hazardous for young children and wouldn't recommend for our grandchildren. The view across the rooftops was less than inspiring. The location, with a very steep road or long flight of steps down to the beach road, wasn't ideal; young and old struggled.

• Maura (10/5): A winter break. - Beautiful apartment. Spotless, most comfortable beds and a big ensuite bathroom. Lots storage space. Great kitchen area with everything you need. Loved the outside patio area, which was a sun trap, and was great to catch the morning sun. The outdoor pool was great if you didn't want to go to the beach. It's a very safe enclosed area. The apartment is right in the centre of pdc and has the best taxi service at a very reasonable price. The restaurants are top class. There is nothing to dislike about this apartment. If you have health and mobility issues, the steps down to the bedrooms might be a challenge. The great taxi service makes travelling around easy.

• Verona (7/5): the apt was very nice and clean, great location, but it would have been good to have it serviced - The apartment was beautiful and location very good we had to wait with all our luggage for the keys in the heat, the apartment was not serviced in the 9 days we were there, and you have to dispose of your own rubbish that was disappointing, bedrooms are downstairs so if you have mobility issues this can be a problem,

• Trevor (9/5): Absolute gem af a place - Wonderful apartment. Clean, tidy and very admiral location with a great view. Surprisingly quiet and yet very near to the strip and beach. Would Definately recommend. I can't say I didn't like anything. My only advisory would be if you suffer with mobility issues I wouldn't say it's for you due to the amount of steps to access the bedrooms.

• Jacqui (9/5): Great base for a stay in Puerto del Carmen - It was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The location was great as it was only 10 minutes to the old town and 5 minutes from the new town strip. Bev and nick were very kind and welcoming. It was very quiet which was lovely. The glass insert in the roof left the apartment very hot. A blind over the glass would help keep the apartment at a more pleasant temperature. The steps to the new town strip were very steep but you could use the back gate which left it a flat walk into the old town.
• Martina (9/5): Superb - Lovely apartment very modern double bed very comfortable balcony had Seaview and we could use it to eat meals as shaded Had to ask for fresh bed linen, apartment was not cleaned during our stay it was very hot so needed to change linen. Owners replied straight away to any requests, which was great.
• Angela (7/5): Too hot rubbish AC - Beautiful apartment good sized kitchen good private outside space. Peaceful. Location ideal but as most of lanzarote it is on a steep hill. V clean apart from fans Air con is not man enough to cool apartment and €1 per 1.5 hours is a rip off. The pool is not private the sunbeds look about 20 years old! There is a massive ceiling window which lets light stream in but this bakes the apartment and heats the black granite stairs to the point you cant walk barefoot on them. 2 fans in the apartment were filthy but kept on all day.
