Guest Reviews
- jasbinder (10/5): A wonderful place to rest and recoup after exploring the Amalfi coast - Great location, wonderful views . Just amazing in every sense . Nothing
- Elena (10/5): Perfect! Recommended!!! - Absolutely charming! Excellent location, beautiful view, friendly staff and clean! It’s not about property itself but the narrow streets of the city.
- Bumbalo (10/5): - This is the perfect location for people who want to visit Ravello,Almafi,Positano,M.inori.. The spot between everything!! A hideaway location on a mountain top with a million dollar view..The room was perfect! The tile work was absolutely amazing. Bathroom was perfect 👌. Im 60 my knees aren't like they used to be. The steps are everywhere!! 😆 everywhere you go bring a good pair of walking sneakers. 👟
- Kirstie (9/5): Great stay in a fantastic spot for views and exploring the rest of the Amalfi coast. Lovely compact flat - perfect for t - Beautiful views, walkable from ferry, generous welcome pack of drinks and initial basic breakfast.
Clean, modern and well equipped. No dislikes but information about nearest best supermarket for basics (milk, water, etc) would be appreciated. Never sure we found the best option!
Ferienhaus = Lemon
- Heather (10/5): Amazing Views- Feel like Royalty - Maria was SO sweet, she met us and gave us a tour and some lemonchello, and is there for anything you need. Also, the groundsman was very kind and took our garbage and helped us with our luggage up the stairs. A good location close to the Ferry and WOW, the house is so grand with the most amazing views ever. A great layout and the balcony off the kitchen, out of your bedroom and the living room. You actually feel like royalty. You will feel right at home, they have it stocked with everything you need in the kitchen and laundry and lots of books. A shared large outdoor lounge area and a great beach area that was empty most of the time we were there and stocked with lots of chairs. Staying here was one of my favorite parts of the trip. A sewage smell in the bathroom but I think it's something with the city septic.

- Nicole (7/5): Superb location but house needs more love & care - The location was simply stunning. Great outdoor space and sea view with direct access to the sea. Also only 7 min walk to the village.
The host was very responsive over chat. The house needs more love & care. It is very old (bathrooms & kitchen probably still from 60 or 70ties) and we found that it was not very well maintained. E.g. light switch coming out of the wall, shower head which could not stay up anymore, lose/broken tiles, "empty" nails in wall where art has probably come off, lose base boards in the kitchen. It could also use a new couch as the existing one had a lot of stains on it.
I also did not like the booking confirmation email with a lot of rules phrased in a harsh way which did not make me feel very welcome. If you do not obey certain rules, there are fines. For instance there was a fine for arriving after 7 pm which I did not understand as it was self check in.

- Raluca (10/5): - The location is excellent. Who loves the sea, the sound of the waves breaking on the rock, the reflection of the moonlight in the sea, the peace, the bath, the kayaking, everything from the platform arranged at the base of the house, spacious terraces, dream view...then it's the perfect place. Initially we were somewhat skeptical because of the stairs....a lot of stairs, but they didn't bother us at all. Close to the beach in Minori (but the accommodation offer is much superior to the beach), close to the Amalfi atmosphere, close to the ferry...for all of this, I would return to this location. There are minor aspects related to the comfort of a less generous space inside (but it was to be expected, houses built on rocks cannot be very spacious), small malfunctions in the intermittent sewage system...there are aspects that can be remedied, certainly and which for us did not matter too much.
We lost a day because of the canceled flight to Naples, but we found very tiring and expensive options to still enjoy our vacation...but this aspect was interpreted by the contact person as a delay on our part for which we should have been charged. In the end, after long discussions, we did not pay the penalty....I think this aspect should be reviewed, it does not depend on the tourist the exact time of arrival, sometimes not even the date. Anywhere in the world if you rent something, you can easily find the key, with a code, you check in yourself at the time you arrive. No one forces you to talk to the contact person all the way, to stress you out with exact times, delays and surcharges...you are a foreign tourist who depends on flights, transfers between locations, difficult traffic that can possibly be approximated but never known with certainty. It is the only aspect that I could record as unpleasant.
However, I remain with a final conclusion - for us, a location where we would return and which we will definitely recommend to our friends.
- Jana (10/5): Vyjímečná lokalita, skvělý hostitel. - Naprosto unikátní a vyjímečná lokace, soukromá pláž, spoustu místa.
- Roxana (8/5): -
- Nikola (10/5): Absolutely unforgettable! - Our stay was absolutely unforgettable! The views are breathtaking from every corner of the property. There are plenty of cozy areas for relaxation.
What makes this place truly unique is its location: the house is practically built into a historic fortress, and from there you walk directly through the fortifications to reach a private beach.
I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a special, memorable, and authentic experience in Italy.
Nulla
- Karen (10/5): If you are looking at this property...Don't think twice.. BOOK IT !!!!!!!! - Nothing could have been better!! Amazing view, location and hospitality!!!
- Jason (10/5): Fully recommended, Must be able bodied to stay in lower part of Villa, fantastic location - Centrally located on amalfi Coast.
Stunning scenery
Layout of Villa, excellent
Excellent in house facilities Too many steps leading to bottom villa
- Markus (10/5): We had a great time at a wonderful place! -
- Yan (9/5): Wake up, swim, eat, sleep, repeat. - Beautiful location, great staff.
- Natalia (3/5): Good but pay attention at the communication with the staff - The room is comfortable, there is a private beach, things you can use like boards and a kayak I can make a list:
- check in 5 pm and check out 8 am is abusive! This is not a motel
- Communication with the staff is horrible: they reach you out like 10 days before asking if you have car and at what time you are arriving. Everybody who travels in Amalfi coast knows things can be very unpredictable. Then they say you should message another room informing these. Then they send you all the rules in a very confusing way (including videos of 6 min, long texts) and please: READ THEM! You can be accused of not following them! They are very impolite
- TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING: I was accused of not leaving the money for the city tax, which was a lot, I left even 2 euros more because I didn’t have change. So I highly recommend you of taking photos of this when you leave, because obviously, the administrators asked me to prove.
The property is very nice, but pay attention at this communication point, by mistake when I left, I closed the door instead of leaving the keys outside. But who doesn’t have a copy of the key when you manage an accommodation? They don’t! And I was also accused of not following the rules sent 10 days before.
Travelled for 20 days in Amalfi coast and this was the only property I had problems
- Sophie (9/5): The private beach was the cherry on top - Communication was really clear and helpful throughout, and it was super easy to get into the property thanks to the detailed instructions. The apartment had everything we needed, and we were welcomed with a few lovely touches like wine, limoncello, water and some basic breakfast bits – a thoughtful gesture we really appreciated. Our favourite part was definitely the private beach – quiet, peaceful and with loungers provided, which made it feel like a proper treat. We also met the owner during our stay and she was welcoming. Check-in is only between 5pm and 7pm, which felt a bit late compared to most places (usually it’s around 3pm), and check-out is quite early at 9:30am. We were kindly allowed to check in early which was great, but it’s worth noting that if you're 30 minutes late to your agreed check-in time, there’s a €30 fee – which feels a bit strict, especially considering travel delays are often out of your hands. There are also a few other charges mentioned which we luckily didn’t get hit with, but it did make us feel slightly on edge. The only other thing was the iron gate right outside the apartment – it slams shut really loudly and woke us up a few times early in the morning and late at night. A little sign asking guests to close it quietly during sleeping hours might help.
- Matt (10/5): Your very own palace on the water - This place will stay with me forever! The views from our rooms and terraces were the ideal dream! The accommodations were clean, fresh, bright, comfortable and we had everything we needed! I count down the days until I can return to IdillioRavello!!!
- Aman (9/5): Superb -
- Janine (10/5): Incredible Idillioravello - the house is stunning!! the view is magnificent. the rooms were great and plenty of space:) we felt so lucky to be there! nothing!
- Victoria (9/5): Maria and Margherita were wonderful hosts—very welcoming and friendly. There are many stairs, but worth the view. Beauti - Beautiful views and wonderful location!
- Morgan (9/5): The location was perfect and the owners were very sweet. They helped arrange drivers and welcomed us with chilled wine! - My husband and I stayed at the top unit of the property My friends stayed below on the bottom unit. The top unit was very clean and newly remodeled. The bottom unit was a little outdated and there were a lot of stars to get down to the sea. Fine for young adults but i would be concerned with elderly and young children. Very close to minori. Nothing.
- Brent (10/5): Maria was amazing! We can't say enough about how responsive and helpful she was! - The view was spectacular! We spent every minute looking out at the water! We enjoyed going down to the covered sitting area to have a drink at the end of the day. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were perfect. The chairs on the balcony made it difficult to see the water. We ended up bringing the kitchen chairs out to sit on instead. The Wifi was also very flaky which made it challenging.
- Marek (9/5): Superb - Maria was enormously helpful and friendly. She came on time when we agreed and responded immediately every message. Very warm personality as well. The bed could have a better mattress. For people with backbone issues this is not ideal at all.
- Martin (10/5): The best! - Everything
- Steven (10/5): Idyllic location. - What a fantastic property and the view is out of this world. If you like to hear waves crashing up and a view out of a movie then this is the place for you. Fully fitted kitchen and en-suites with beautiful period furniture.
Maria was the perfect hostess and there was a very warm welcome. The grounds are beautiful and there are even private steps to the sea.
- Antal (10/5): Perfect location, great facilities and friendly hosts. Highly recommended! - Very good location! The small town of Minori is just a few minutes away offering great restaurants, bars cafés a supermarkets and ferry port. Bus stop is also right in front of the property. I preferred staying away from the crowded towns in the area and at the same time Amalfi, Ravello and Positano were all easy to reach via ferry/bus/taxi.
The private beach and the fully functional kitchen was also a huge plus.
Our hosts, Margherita and Maria are extremely friendly and helpful. We had some issues with gas and electricity and it was all fixed within 30 minutes on Sunday afternoon. Be prepared that due to the surroundings, roads are very narrow, which means heavy traffic especially in high season. Thus transportation is extremely unpredictable. It is also good to keep in mind that there are many stairs everywhere. It should not be a problem, while you're young and fit, although it can be a challenge for the elderly or incapacitated.
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional - Situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Amalfi Coast, the house has a wonderful private access to the sea, but it is also 5 minutes walk from the public beach of Minori.
If you like climbing stairs, Ravello can also be reached in 30 minutes along a beautiful path.
From the private balcony of the house you have an incomparable view of the sea, which is breathtaking at night.
- Schutte (9/5): Superb -
- Anand (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcel (6/5): Beautifull location, poor worn facilitation - Beautifull Seaview
Fortunately there was a very kind and helpfull maintenance / hands man at the location, the hostess lady was without any client satisfaction skills At this nice location we also expected a premium experience according the price (EUR 210,- /day/june). many things do not meet these requirements and do not benefit this beautiful location. mattresses sagging, beds rickety, dining room chairs sagging, no TV but a separate small screen without remote control and poor connection, constant stale/sewage air in the bathroom, lots of mosquitoes.
In addition many small matters which are not issues by itself but together theyfellt very annoying : electric ignition gas burner not working properly, lighter empty, no toilet cleaner, insufficient toilet paper, extractor hood light defect.
booking.com provides a price including and a price excluding taxes, but the accommodation also charges in addition eur 60 tourist tax per week (2 people).
Parking in a private spot is necessary if you have a car and costs an additional EUR 20 per day.
- Craig (9/5): Superb. Would love to come back here - Idyllic, like a setting from a movie. Beautiful and romantic setting. I would have liked a folding table and chairs on the balcony to eat at should one wish to dine on the balcony
- Kevin (10/5): What can I say it was perfect and the host Margarita was so so helpful to make are stay perfect, Maria the lady who welc - Everything about the property was just perfect, we couldn’t believe it was actually available when we booked. My wife said she has found her perfect holiday place and would love to come back every year There was nothing not to like
- Kevin (10/5): Great location with an awesome host - Great proactive communication with hosts. Awesome location, walking distance to the to main town and transit.
The view from the room is simply outstanding. Everything was perfect
- Vesna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pearl (10/5): Idyllic location - Amazing views and private access to swimming in the sea
- Tzvetan (8/5): Great place on the Amalfi coast - Excellent location - the apartment looks towards the sea and you can hear the waves in the evening, very beautiful. You even have your own private beach. The town next to it is by far the best on the Amalfi coast, with fewer tourists than the rest, which is great! Would be good to add mosquito nets as well as to replace the beds with something more comfortable, for example a proper master bedroom as there are three single beds at the moment.
- Shannon (10/5): Amazing little villa in Minori and so relaxing! - Such an amazing find! My husband and I stayed here and absolutely loved the villa. The sweeping views across the water and a private beach access was a huge plus for us. The stairs up and down to the beach are a lot but once you jump in the water - belissimo! There is a car park aswell for those that drive in which is great bonus. Washing machine in the room is also great - we are on a month long holiday so it’s a must for us. The hosts were incredibly accomodating and always on hand to assist with questions and tips for Minori. We loved Minori and appreciated the quiet away from the larger crowds at Amalfi. This is a great spot for a honeymoon or romantic week away. Loved it!! Nothing.
- Catherine (9/5): Idillioravello ranks at the very top of our list of places we have stayed in Europe. - The location was fantastic. The sea was beautiful and as close as your front yard!! Incredible views, with excellent furnishings, decor, and amenities. The beds were all twin size. The stairs were steep and long.
- Emma (10/5): Had the most amazing stay here and we can’t wait to return. The most stunning views and the property was spotlessly clea - What is not to like about idillioravello? It’s a stunning property with the most amazing views. About a 10 minute walk into Minori which had some lovely restaurants and bars. Nothing it was perfect
- Matt (10/5): Great views and close to town. - This spot was amazing. From the great service upon arrival to the majestic views, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The hosts were responsive and friendly. It was very convenient to be able to walk to Minori. Note: There are a lot of steps.
- Wellings (10/5): Unbelievable stay. We will definitely be back!! - Absolutely stunning and parking a huge plus in the area l! Highly recommend!!
- Christoffer (10/5): Bella Vita!!!! - Amazing house at a location to die for.
Incredible views from every room, huge terraces and a very rare own place to swim from. Big bed rooms with own bathrooms in second floor. Very well equipped and a very nice host. Everything was perfect!
The ~100 steps to the house and -50 more to the sea might be a problem for some people or if you travel with small kids.
- Hristo (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - what a beautiful place! the view is
- Ilze (10/5): An absolutely life inspiring experience - The location, friendly staff, amazing views, comfort and distance to town. There could have been one more mirror somewhere in the apartment because there is only one bathroom.
- Claire (8/5): location on the sea and a short walk to restaurants and Minori was perfect - the location on the sea with beautiful views was amazing location so close to Minori and ease of access to all of amalfi coast from there
- Erika (5/5): it was good but could be great! - location was incredible cold showers and no hand soaps
- Fiona (10/5): Amazing Property in beautiful Minori. - This property is amazing, the views, the location, I could not fault it. The property is practically on the sea and has a ladder at the bottom of a nice few steps that gives a private entrance into the ocean. Filomena is so helpful and gave us great advice.
It's so close to shops, restaurants, bus stops, ferry's and beautiful walks.
I could not fault this place.
- Gaetano (10/5): This has been the most Beautiful and Memorable vacation ever - Bring your own foods- The owner has chosen a Fantastic host to greet & meet, me and my cousins who drove me here, & who live an hour from here. The Views are breathtaking , steps to where I stayed are many but pause gaze at the Vista, then continue Slowly but surely great exercise not for much older persons unless stay until they leave. My plans are to return next year, have many many First cousins livebin Italy Loved Everything- so Spacious So Clean
- Iandrey (10/5): Exceptional - A lot of mosquitoes!
