- Michael (10/5): - The parking area was one hotel over, but this really was no inconvenience since we walked for 90% of our stay. $50 a day for valet, $40 a day if you park your car yourself in the parking deck. This hotel is at the very end of River Street so every diesel truck and car that drives on River Street must go by the hotel. If you’re looking for convenience to the main strip of boutiques and little vacation shops this is definitely the place. Definitely bring a noise machine for your room because you will hear every loud truck in person blaring their music even on the sixth floor. The rooftop dining is beautiful at night and the food is very good. The entire staff from valet to the restaurant are very polite and helpful. Although it was a bit of a walk to the southern historical District, I would definitely stay here again. If you’re wanting something with the less no worries, then I will definitely stay more in the southern district.

We checked in early about 1:00 the lady at the desk gave us a city view room on the 3rd floor which is 1st floor on the street level not riverside. The hotel was not full at all. I am a Marriot member but booked on Expedia which she knew. Anyway the street noice started at 4:00 am and keep me awake the rest of the morning. I had 4 hours of sleep. If you stay at this hotel which I would recommend do not stay on City view 3rd, 4 th or 5 th level.

She didn’t greet us or anything. The room itself was nice. The view could’ve been better; there was a construction site which interfered with the river view. We will not be returning.

The hotel is clean, the staff was super friendly (from valet, front desk, restaurant, and cleaning/maintenance staff). The rooms are spacious. They offer a white noise machine in the room. Though, the hotel is quiet and the machine was not needed. Very walkable to river front and the shops. The food was amazing in the hotel. We had breakfast and dinner. I do wish they had more appetizers/tapas on the menu. We felt safe. We loved the hydration station to fill our stanleys with ice and water before heading out. Hop on and hop off trolley is right in front of the hotel (stop 12). We loved every minute we were in the hotel!

Only down points - Was not clear where we could park by ourselves, on arrival it appears as if valet is the only option. This cost $52 per day!!! - Eric (6/5): Missing Common Amenities - For 2oo a night, I would expect a pool, a microwave in my room, and laundry on site since most people frequent the beach while there. The rooftop bar was nice; breakfast was really diappointing. 20 dollars for slices of deli meat, parfaits, and crissoints is a bit much. I splurged on a nicer hotel think my money would go further: Truth is, a 3.5 star for half the price would've been a better deal due to the fact that they had pools, microwaves, and onsite laundry. Parking is 50 a night and is NOT included in your nightly rate. It's a nice hotel though, just missing basic ammenities.

Room was clean but it smelt very off putting , i don’t know what they cleaned with or if the vents needed to be looked at but during my stay i literally had to use my perfume i brought with me to make the smell at least a little better. Shops were near by and beautiful rooftop to sit down and have a drink with a very beautiful view . Would recommend staying again !

The bathroom was not at all private - the sink was in the middle of the room and the shower and toilet were behind an etched glass wall where you couldn’t control the light - it was motion sensing so if you had to get up in the middle of the night, you would most definitely disrupt your partner. Who thought that was a good idea?!

And beware of $50 per night parking. Never going back there. Plenty of great Downtown Savannah hotels and people! Management needs to fix this place.

Our room had a very strange, off-putting chemical smell and we were placed on the 3rd floor which is ground level next to the sidewalk and busy road. We heard cars most of the night. Parking is $50 valet and street parking is nearly impossible. A public parking deck is within walking distance but was nearly full.

- Crystal (4/5): Over booked and disappointed. - The hotel was new but we booked a trip to get away to Savannah and wanted a balcony room to see the river and we paid hotels.com for a balcony room and when we got there they had over booked and instead of upgrading us they down graded us for a room with no view or balcony. Our room was clean and new but our air would just shut off and go up to 73degrees and we would have to reset it and our lights actually would also just go off. I was very disappointed in this hotel especially for this hotel to be new. The staff at the hotel was very nice and they had exceptional valet parking team. I just believe we should have been given some of our money back since we paid for that type of room and it was much more.
- Karen (4/5): - In my opinion, being a new hotel was a big selling point but it is so sparsely outfitted and decorated it is just plain unimpressive. I would most definitely spend the extra and go back to the Marriott Riverfront. The room size and layout are just uncomfortable. The bathroom with a sliding door offers zero privacy and the room is so cramped it's not worth the almost $300/night. I'm referring to the room with 2 Queen Beds, can't speak for the others. The "European" style breakfast is a joke. I hope they can tell that is not working by the lack of people there for breakfast. The space at the restaurant was nice but the food offering is just trying to be too upscale for a not upscale hotel. That includes the dinner menu options and whatever that breakfast was. The public area outside the elevators is uninviting, not someplace I would want to go spend any time trying to relax or even enjoy scrolling my phone. As I write that I'm realizing that is probably why they haven't made this hotel visually appealing. Everywhere you go now, everyone is just scrolling their phone so perhaps they have decided there is need for aesthetics anymore. Lastly, our room had an A.C. that had a mind of it's own and kept adjusting itself so we were roasting at night and our toilet constantly ran. Every person I saw check out before me also had an issue. One person had a wet bathroom floor the entire stay, one had a broken chair, and another bad A.C. unit. Keep looking I.M.O., there is better out there.
