- j3dimast3r (10/5): Excellent Location and Very Comfortable - My wife and I stayed at this Premier Inn at Paddington Station from November 19 to 27, 2025. We stayed in Room 405 on the 4th Floor, which was a Standard Double room. We initially chose this hotel due to its close proximity to Paddington Station, and we're so glad we did! We loved the fact that we could simply walk across the street from the hotel and stroll directly into Paddington Station.
The room itself was just fine for my wife and I. It was very clean and well-kept, with nearly no signs of wear and tear on the furniture. The interior decor was very modern and minimalistic. One other thing about the room was the fact that the sound proofing was quite impressive. Considering the fact that our room overlooked the street that's typically busy with traffic, we could hardly hear the outside noises. The mattress was very comfortable (to me), but my wife mentioned to me she preferred it to be a tad firmer. There was plenty of space in the room for us to relax during the evening when we're done with exploring the surrounding London area.
Even though we did not opt for the daily breakfast deal, the front desk staff member that checked us in (Sorry, I forgot her name) offered us a couple days of complimentary access to the breakfast so we can try it out. We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast! It was a hot breakfast buffet and they served 'English Breakfast' foods such as sausage, beans, various types of eggs, hashed brown triangle, English bacon, mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes. The quality was actually decent overall, but we opted to not continue with the breakfast meal plan since we wanted to venture out to try other places for breakfast.
Overall, this hotel was superb value for use since we loved its location. If we ever visit London again in the near future, we would definitely consider staying here again!
- SatoshiY_13 (2/5): Terrible experience — no hot water and zero accountability. - I stayed at this hotel and the shower had no hot water at all from the moment I checked in. I reported the issue immediately, but nothing was fixed during my stay.
Despite the hotel failing to provide a basic amenity, they refused to offer any refund or compensation and kept insisting on their policy instead of taking responsibility. Their attitude was unprofessional, and customer care was completely nonexistent.
This was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I strongly advise others to avoid this place, as you may not get even the minimum level of service — and they will not stand behind their own failures.
- E4092ZRscotth (6/5): Mostly good, but bad experience in hotel restaurant - The hotel was easy to get to and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. However, I stayed at this hotel twice, a week apart, and on the second stay I arrived around midday, so decided to eat lunch in the hotel restaurant. But when I asked if the restaurant staff could check the ingredients of a dish, because I have an intolerance to a couple of common ingredients that aren't a major allergens, so not listed in their allergen information, I was met with a flat refusal by the staff as it was, quote, "against company policy".
- Discover2737 (10/5): Excellent staff and service - makes all the difference - We stayed at the Premier Inn for 2 weeks because of a house leak. The staff were so helpful and kind and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay relaxed and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the chef made the best poached eggs on demand even though he was very busy. The parking is convenient too. And the location is right near Southgate station and is off the main road. Good size rooms, nice shower and value for money.
- elizacQ6307TZ (10/5): Lovely stay - The room I stayed in was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The bed was especially comfortable, and I slept soundly throughout my stay. I also loved the service. Would stay again
- 700sunnyb (10/5): Great happy relaxing friendly - I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting . From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which set the tone for a very relaxing experience.
- elisacM8493XS (10/5): Great rooms - Ideal location for my business trip, clean room and perfect bed for a great night sleep! Very friendly staff and ready to assist you during your stay
- darrenhN403LM (10/5): Very good - Very nice and clean hotel, next to train station, food was lovely and the receptionest layleehau was brillant, all so were fantantic would stay again
- stylezm2024 (10/5): Amazing experience - First impression we was welcomed with a nice beautiful smile by ibrahim he gave us a lot of information regarding our stay breakfast was so nicee we had to book it twice
- jameskT965PI (10/5): My experience - I had an amazing experience at the hotel it was extremely clean as expected and no issues whatsoever, this place is highly recommended for others honestly l.
- X6779NIjunes (10/5): Amazing staff - Such a warm welcome from the reception lady, helped us out with our endless requests and made sure we’ve got everything we need! She is an absolute asset for the company!
- 443jermainen (10/5): Amazing stay - Amazing stay easy check in process, comfy beds and lovely staff members.
Breakfast was tasty in the morning and checkout was very simple.
- ukCorn (10/5): Great place to stay - Stayed in one of the premium rooms. Great to have a fridge for small meals etc. Being across from the station made getting around easy. Also great access to grocery shops and restaurants. Hotel was clean, quiet, and had all the amenitie as advertised. You know what you are getting with this chain hotel . Would not hesitate to stay here again.
- rhyse645 (10/5): Very good - The best hotel in Southgate and surrounding areas. All the staff are great, attentive, very friendly and very helpful.
- rae73 (6/5): Waiting for a refund. - I booked the only room available - a premier plus accessible room. I didn’t need it to be accessible, so I emailed the hotel to say that I would be happy to swap to a standard room if one became available so that a disabled person could book the accessible room. When I got there I asked for a room with a bath (in what reality is standing in a shower a luxury???) and I was put in a standard room. Not a problem. I asked them to refund the difference, as I had paid for the premier plus room. The receptionist said the refund would be done, but it hasn’t happened yet.
The room itself was fine, and I had a lovely soak in the bath.
- sichingl2025 (2/5): terrible service and hygiene - i stayed in room 323 from 14/11 to 17/11. On the last day, before i checked out, i developed red dots on my skin which are due to bed bugs. It is now 5 days after i checked out and the spots on my skin are getting more angry and few more have appeared.
- Jer22t (10/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient. - Good location, convenient for rail station and bus services. Very friendly welcome. Room was very clean and comfortable. All-round good experience at a reasonable price.
- J9109HKsarahb (10/5): Brilliant stay - We as a family always book sidcup as its near where my mum lives we enjoy the breakfast and the staff are really good and friendly we will be stay there again this is our 4th time there. Thank you so much
- mounirab580 (10/5): Foyaj is fantastic - Foyaj was very accommodating and helpful when we needed help, he was also very friendly and listened calmly. Thank you Foyaj!!
- Journey10354837552 (10/5): Laylee is amazing!!! - Laylee is a fantastic member of staff at this Premier Inn, she’s very accommodating and understanding. She would always check in on us during our stay and made it a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Thank you Laylee!!!
- johnrU3036AJ (2/5): Threatening angry staff member - On returning to the hotel we looked to see what was in the area on the ground floor, we walked into the area which was the hotels restaurant area, the only space on the ground floor, immediately had a member of staff aggressively and intimidatingly approach us, telling us the area was out of bounds, he told us to go up to our room, and he followed this up with threats of kicking us out of the hotel and swearing at us. It was a very shocking experience. This member of staff should not be in a public facing job, I have never felt unsafe in a hotel before. When following this up with Premier Inn they told me that the feedback from the hotel was that we attempted to open the fridges where alcoholic beverages were, but they were locked. And when we were seen by a member of staff we pulled on the member of staffs arm to find his name and were aggressive, which is why he told us to leave. Due to the hotels feedback they can only offer an apology. This is a complete lie and for the Premier Inn to accuse us of this without any further investigation is very unfair and is a defamatory statement.
We will not stay at this hotel again in fear of seeing this staff member.
- livb730 (10/5): Lovely Stay! - Nice stay! Clean rooms and friendly staff! Also we were guests of the day, winning a free mini bottle of wine! Breakfast was very good too!
- D2576QZsarahm (2/5): Will never stay again! - Home from a night out and was met by a very confrontational manager called Lestyn. He threatened to chuck us out because we accidentally walked into the restaurant area! Very aggressive member of staff. It seemed as though he wanted a fight, it was very odd. After a nice evening and innocently walking into the restaurant to see if it was still open we were rudely confronted by an angry aggressive man. It was very intimidating.
- K4228VYlouisee (10/5): Perfect location - Great hotel with perfect location
This Premier Inn is great. It is located next to Paddington and could not have a better location.
The staff is friendly, and yhe rooms are nice, warm and clean.
- Thiago_saraujo (10/5): Great Experience at a Comfortable and Well-Located Hotel - I recently stayed at the hotel and was quite pleased with my experience. The facilities were clean, and the location is excellent, making it easy to access various attractions in the city. The check-in process was straightforward and efficient, which is always a plus.
However, I did encounter an issue with the reservations team, as they cancelled my booking before resolving my concerns. This aspect of customer service could use improvement.
Despite this hiccup, I would definitely recommend the hotel due to the quality of my stay and its fantastic location
- 1994AJM (2/5): Dirty beds and smelly rooms!! - Check in was easy and we were up to the room within a few minutes. On opening the door to the room we were overpowered by the smell of dirty/ stagnant water. We were so tired and my little one was falling asleep so we thought we would just try put up with it. There were also big metal bars on the window which made it feel like a prison but we were only there one night to sleep so we just got over that. The worst part came when we went to put our little one into bed and there was a huge brown crusty patch of sick/poop in the inside of the duvet and sheet. Disgusting to find and so alarming that clearly the sheets had not been changed!!!
We complained and was given a new room opposite which smelled much better and seemed cleaner, plus not metal bars on the window. But unfortunately by the morning, the stagnant water smell was starting to take over that room too. Think there was an issue with the aircon or drainage.
The breakfast was good but the room was one of the worst experiences at a hotel I have had, especially for the price we paid. Location was good, right outside the station.
- pantastic247 (10/5): Excellent - As I have just come out of hospital for a serious operation I was impressed by the customer service of Laylee who couldn’t have done more to help me she was extremely helpful. Compliments to all staff.
Laylee should be employee of the month or year!
Thank you so much!
- giorgial649 (10/5): Journey in London was special thanks to Premier Inn London Paddington at Paddington Station - Easy to visit the city, near the metro station (you only have to cross the street). Beds and pillows are comfortable, breakfast is delicious.
Value for money rate 10/10.
If I will return to London this will be surely my hotel.
- claremI8156IH (10/5): Highly recommend - Fantastic location, very clean around hotel and in bedroom/bathroom. We ate breakfast and dinner here and couldn't fault it. They stored our bags whilst we explored London which was a Godsend. Would highly recommend.
- Q334CMzahraa (10/5): Great stay with the family - It was a great stay at the premier in Southgate London hotel.
The staff were really nice especially Foyaj and Laylee. They were very helpful and nice and I will definitely come back again to this hotel with the family
- MartynG_11 (10/5): Comfy Place Kind Young Team - A return stay of 9 nights visiting after about a year. Always enjoy my stays here but there has been a definite improvement in the upkeep of the hotel, both lifts working which was great.
My room 308 a really comfortable place to come back to at the back of the hotel. Tea and coffee provided and always a good shower pressure in my room with a bath.
The young lady manager enthusiasm and friendly persona bring a great vibe across the team. A real pleasure to speak to and always happy to help.
I’ll be back
Happy hour drinks in the bar 2 for £9.
- georginag862 (8/5): Breakfast! - We had three nights booked last weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We have stayed in this hotel before and booked again as we were impressed with the level of care and attention from the staff and the amenities are what we have come to expect from a Premier Inn.
We had no complaints until Monday morning and the breakfast service. Previous mornings the breakfast area was quiet and well staffed. It's a shame that on Monday morning we were let down. It was clear that they were short staffed, on previous mornings there had been two people serving and assisting but on Monday there was only one person. He was run off his feet, it was noticeably busier on Monday than the weekend mornings and everything was running out. There were no glasses, this was not a problem as there was no juice to put in them. There was no milk, not a problem as there were no bowls to put the cereal and milk in and when they did arrive they were so hot that I was unable to hold it, let alone put cereal and cold milk in it, the hot food items were in short supply and the coffee machine stopped working as it needed refilling.
Now I want to make this very, very clear that the member of staff working that morning was doing a sterling job, he could have been rude and surly but he was cool, calm and professional at all times. He certainly earnt his money as he didn't stop. You could see that the restaurant was over booked as there were people waiting for tables and even when they did find a table there seemed to be a shortage of chairs! There are a number of high tables with stools and coffee type tables with sofas, these are not suitable for less mobile residents or families with small children. Perhaps it would be better to replace these tables with dining tables and chairs so that everyone has a place to sit and eat.
This is the first time we have had a problem staying in this hotel and we are booked to come again in February so I hope it was just a blip and a bit of bad management in terms of staffing due to it being half term.
- MEhinger (10/5): Great place for a family stay - The hotel is very close to Paddington Station, and we used both the underground and trains for our trip. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and large enough to move about. I didn't notice any noise outside the rooms and little outside the building. Breakfast is available and children eat free. The restaurant is also available for other meals. The food was tasty and there was a good variety. There are vegetarian options, other "milks" and attention to food allergies. Great value for the price.
- speakerscorner (10/5): Highly recommended - I had a truly wonderful experience staying at this hotel; it's easily one of the best ones I've stayed at across the entire chain. My room was completely spotless and smelled incredibly fresh.
- Scenic824335 (2/5): Dissatisfied - Hugely disappointed with the first room offered. There was smell of musty dampness. We asked for a change of room, which we were given. The second room, although better, still had a slight musty smell. We were only staying for one night, so put up with it. Because of the initial feeling of unkempt, we decided not to use the restaurant facilities. We have had good experiences with other Premier Inns, sadly this one has put us off.
- Explorer768165 (10/5): Paddington station premier...a perfect stay - We found the Paddington station premier inn, very clean, comfortable, with up to date decor.
Friendly, welcoming staff, could not fault it, and we will be staying here again on our next visit.
- HelpfulAngel (6/5): Great location but leaves a lot to be desired - Our key kept malfunctioning. Every time we came back in the evening, we had to get a new key. This happened 3 times! We were only there for 4 days. A very loud smoke alarm went off in our room randomly and scared the living daylights out of us. The staff was not very forthcoming and helpful. The A/C kept turning off, and left the room, very stuffy. Wi-Fi is very weak, almost non-existent. The location is great, the beds are comfortable and the shower is nice.
- 102dejank (10/5): Good value for money and great location. - I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, right next to the train station, which made getting around so convenient. From the parking to the room and service, everything was great. The team was professional, friendly, and made the visit even more enjoyable. I was checked in and served in the restaurant by Lauren and Darina, who were outstanding, a real asset to the team. Highly recommend!
- N1303ELianb (8/5): Badly trained restaurant staff - Usual Premier Inn comfy beds, reasonable price, brilliant location etc, but inexcusable experience on our first night; after a long stressful day ( Oct 13), we ordered a bottle of white wine with our dinner, and it was served at room temperature and not even in an ice bucket!
- kaysnowden (10/5): Excellent lodging for travelers and visitors - I was a little wary that this might be a budget hotel since it is so affordable, but it was anything but! Our room was well furnished, very comfortable and very clean. The location is fantastic if you are traveling to or from Heathrow, since it is literally across the street from the Paddington train and underground stations. There is a baggage room which is secure, so it's easy to store bags if you arrive early. You can check automatically, and there is also a staffed reception desk if you need any assistance or want to store bags. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
- O2811AChv (10/5): Great place to stay. - First time staying at this hotel. Couldn't fault it. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable and quiet from outside noise. We had a meal in the attached restaurant which was really convenient as they served food until 10pm and stayed open so we could stay for a drink after. The Breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts I have had. It was hot, constantly rotated so the food was fresh and there was an excellent selection of pastries, cereals, fruits, cooked breakfast etc. The meal deal option was great value for money.
The fire alarm went off on the Saturday evening which cant be helped as these things happen but the staff rushed and turned it off really quickly.
Great staff, great location. Will stay again for sure!
- jeanettelJ8640OM (10/5): American football game - I went with a friend to watch the denvor broncos vs new york jets. The staff where very friendly. Upon returning to the hotel I asked was would you like a free glass of red white or rose wine ive put a picture of the wine. It was my birthday and I thought this was lovely
- X4202EXbarbarab (10/5): Nice experience - The location is great, there is a subway across the road. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The breakfast is varied and the staff is very friendly and always ready to help.
- Fearless13312738442 (10/5): Excelent! - Thank you so much for the warm welcome our group received at your hotel. The service was top-notch, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Special thanks to Ms. Kayley, who handled our reservation.
- Enjoyslife10 (10/5): Excellent Room and stay - The premier plus room is excellent, clean, quiet, comfortable and very well equipped - highly recommend upgrading to one if you are thinking about it. The extra WiFi and comfort was well worth the extra
- kodjo (6/5): - Good hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. It is close to underground station which is very convenient. There are dining options in walkable distance. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
- 28patrickc (10/5): Family celebration weekend - Family trip to graduation ceremony for Rose Bruford college in Sidcup. Stayed 3 nights in two rooms. Rooms clean, comfortable, quiet, ample parking each time I returned, temperature control adequate, and multiple food and grocery options nearby. Short walk to rail line, bus stop right outside and electric charging stations nearby (but not in hotel parking lot). Recommend timing arrivals and departures outside school let out times as traffic is heaviest then.
- GaynorH_11 (10/5): Excellent Customer Service - I’ve been using this hotel for over 5 years to stay at while visiting my Mum. The location is perfect - everything is within walking distance as well as the station with frequent trains into central London (25 min ride). I would recommend this location to anyone visiting London - it’s easy to get into the main tourist areas and you’re not paying the premium nightly rates that would if you stayed in the center of the city. The area is safe and has everything you need steps away too. The staff at this location have been consistently excellent every time I have stayed there. Very helpful and compassionate. Highly recommend this location.
- 136sophiaw (10/5): All perfect and very comfortable and friendly - All amazing and lovely helpfull staff. Staff were very attentive and I payed a bit extra for a better room and it was well worth it.
- L4587SRamandam (10/5): Premier Inn, Sidcup - By far our favourite Premier Inn. The service which we receive is first-class. The Premier Inn has a car park and is situated opposite the train station which has a direct route into London Charing Cross (which takes approximately 15 minutes). We initially chose the Premier Inn at Sidcup as our daughter was at Bird College which is only a 5 minute walk away. We have been going there now several times a year for the past 3 years. We find Kaylee and her Team to be extremely welcoming and professional. Thank you and we cannot wait to come back again soon.
- Emily (4/5): - One of the night shift managers offered almost no service but the other staff and a day time manager were friendly and helpful
- sophiebS8315WI (10/5): Would recommend - This is our second time staying here.
Friendly staff, clean hotel room and great facilities nearby.
Would recommend for anyone wanting a place to stay in Sidcup and commute into Central London, as it’s a short walk to the train station.
- 867danuteg (10/5): Friendly staff - Blond foreign girl at the reception was very nice and gave us a room with a shower as requested. All staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly.
- dominykak532 (10/5): Lovely stay with family - Been there with my family. Very pleasant stay, would definitely recomend this hotel to friends. Staff very attentive and welcoming.
- amiejaned2025 (10/5): Premier inn London sidcup - Best welcome ever from the staff at sidcup , room and breakfast dinner superb couldn’t fault this premier inn best one I have stayed in.
- chloebags (10/5): Great stay at the Premier Inn Sidcup - Everything about the stay was great. The hotel, room and public areas were very clean and tidy. Quick and professional arrival procedure. All staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.
- bharanim2019 (2/5): Had a horrible stay - We stayed for 4 nights and the air conditioning wasn’t working for 3 nights.
On repeated complaints, they changed the room on the last night.
It was so hot that we were literally sweating for 3 nights and the staff who came acknowledged that the room was hit Inspite of turning on the air conditioning.
Every thing else was perfect but the AC made our stay a. Nightmare.
The staff gave us weird reasons that this is how it works in UK and government shuts down the AC after 1 hr.
They even told me that that’s how they manage the AC in lobby.
Coming to the room was the most disgusting part of our London trip.
- F9497UFbrianm (10/5): London sidcup premier inn - Good staff presence and good night sleep. Pleasant reception area and staff.
Small minor, maybe make it a bit more obvious where the front door to the building was. It was not under any "Premier Inn" signs. I did a complete lap of the building first before finding. Good overall stay at sidcup.
- Stay56960357332 (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice and clean hotel. Tesco by the corner, very good plus.
Bad thing:Two rooms for a family at diffrend floors, even booked 10 month in advance, is vers bad visit card for a booking manager.
- 295mariusl (10/5): Short stay - Stayed here back in may for two nights, and find it very clean, staff friendly and professional. Check in was quick and smooth
