Guest Reviews
- dorothyk929 (10/5): Amazing - Absolutely lovely. Was greeted with a smile when we walked and and every staff member was happy and polite an each one spoke to you as you went passed!
- ericfH8749XK (10/5): Five out of five for premier inn - We stayed for the weekend of the half marathon.
A super welcome from the front of house team. Very warm and accommodating.
Comfy bed. Clean room. Large bath tub with lots of hot water.
Convenient and good value bar and restaurant next door.
Nice and quiet so we were well rested for race day.
- M276FBnathanc (2/5): Poor service - Stayed for two nights. Electricity failed both mornings from 6am onwards for hours which also meant no water for washing, showers or to flush toilets. Also no breakfast available. Despite not being able to shower on either morning, I appreciate exceptional things happen. Spoke to Premier Inn customer service and not offered a refund or compensation desipte not having received the basic level of service one would expect of a hotel. Extremely unhappy and disappointed from national brand you would hope you can trust. They simply wanted to blame someone else and not take responsibility.
- GordonG248 (10/5): All-round excellence - Excellent value. Room couldn't be faulted. Staff were friendly, helpful and kind especially when dealing with my wife who suffers from alzheimers
- adedoyinsaraha (4/5): Dirty duvet - Disappointed
The duvet was stained with makeup and not just in a hidden place, at the edge, obvious that the former guest used it and it wasn't cleaned afterwards. The bathroom towel was also not cleaned, there are dirts on it. Grateful that I went with a personal towel. Also, there is no telephone to reach out to the reception to complain or request for replacements. I would have complained at checkout but there was no one at the reception when I was leaving. This is terrible considering the price of the booking.
- derekwalton001 (10/5): On my travels - Quite a enjoyable experience stay here as I use this particular hotel on my travels I always meet very friendly reception staff who always go up and beyond to help ones needs as on this trip I met Beth who did exactly that in my room change.
This premier was clean and top rate once again.
- 183sueo (8/5): Could be better - It was good to have the option of early check in.
The hotel itself is looking shabby and needs an upgrade. They were also very short staffed, although the staff on duty were trying their upmost.
- 811lornat (10/5): Convenient Location - The hotel is in a convenient location, with friendly staff. The room was clean and tidy. Access to the local shopping area is a short distance away with plenty of bars and eateries.
- melhR9752XA (10/5): Very enjoyable stay at the Premier Inn Nottingham - A very convenient hotel , close to Nottingham city centre. What impressed us most was how quiet the room was and how comfortable the beds were. Had a great stay.
- 494hollieb (2/5): Disappointing experience - Greeted by the staff and had a pleasant welcome. However, we booked a twin room and the single bed was not made up ! The bedding was not even on the bed it was underneath the double bed. We asked the staff if the single bed could be made(bed sheet and duvet cover) whilst we explored Nottingham. When we returned I was deeply disappointed by the sight of the folded bed sheet and duvet cover at the end of the bed. Even though we was promised it would be made for us. This was very disappointing and made me wonder what someone with a physical disability would’ve done as we had to make the bed ourselves. This is a shame as all my previous experiences staying at a Premier Inn have been positive.
- LlJjR (8/5): Convenient City Centre Hotel - Safia on reception was welcoming, cheery and helpful.
Hotel was central to a shops, restaurants and theatre.
Breakfast staff also helpful.
- Freedom26013466699 (10/5): Nice location. Friendly staffs - Really nice hotel, very central near to the town centre and all the shops, lots of restaurants nearby to eat out. Friendly staffs
- nathanbD5144QE (10/5): Wonderful time and good hotel - We had a lovely time in Nottingham for my birthday. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff on reception were knowledgeable about the local area. They recommended a beautiful restaurant to us for my birthday meal. Thank you also for my birthday prosecco, such a kind gesture.
- 226catherinep (10/5): Great Welcome - Kieron and Saff were so welcoming and helpful. Definitely will book again. City Centre Hotel that still recognises the importance of Customer Service. Normally stay nearby but will now use this hotel instead!
- A2417DSmichaelc (10/5): Very helpful front desk - Excellent customer service, I had an issue with the room I was in due to some noise and when I mentioned this to the front desk they were very sympathetic and looked for a better room for me without any issue which was a great help, thanks to Shannon
- 254naomid (8/5): Quite, friendly, clean - Clean both room and bathroom, towel each which was a plus, staff great and warm, very quite, the only problem was the Pillows very uncomfortable...
- jinniesgir1 (6/5): First disappointing stay at a Premier Inn - We regularly stay in Premier Inn's on city visits, but this one was probably the worst one.
Room 420 (mine)and bed were fine, mattresses are really comfortable. My friend stayed in 403
We paid for the meal deal - 2 course dinner and breakfast. My friend chose chicken skewer on flatbread with feta salad and chunky chips.
I chose the burger with pulled beef, but asked for no salad, gherkin or relish, and fries.
The flatbread was rock hard.
The burger arrived with salad, gherkin and relish and the toasted bum was burnt. To top this off the pulled beef was dried out to the extent it crumbled in my fingers. Both meals were returned and replaced, the burger without the pulled beef as requested.
Disappointingly the bar as well as the restaurant closed at 9pm. So we returned to our rooms.
Room 419 next to mine decided to have a reggae party, which went on till after 11.30pm despite me knocking on the wall to hint at them to turn the volume down. Didn't want to knock on their door as you never know what could happen.
We told reception staff this morning but they didn't seem too bothered. They told us apparently there should be a card in the room with a number to call if there were any issues - there was no such card in the room, and I did not want to go down to reception so late at night in my PJ's.
This afternoon when we collected our luggage we used the toilet in the restaurant we found the restaurant floor was very sticky - ugh. And in the toilet was a wet floor sign, so i took it that the toilet had been cleaned - but there was toilet paper on the floor near the bin.
While I would stay at Premier Inn again, I certainly wouldn't stay at this one ( the one near Motorpoint is much better).
- Q2945LOmarciat (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - The hotel is in a great loction very central, near to the shops and bars.. Friendly
staffs the Bar&Block stake house had a great selection on their menu.
- U4893ZOjuliem (8/5): Small but ideal - The room was probably the smallest premier Inn room we've ever had but it had everything we needed. Plenty of charging ports (usb and plug options). Loved the fridge with complimentary water and chocolates, couldn't work out the coffee machine!! Only downside was the ultimate WiFi key didn't work but we weren't there for long enough for it to be an issue and being a city centre location we had 5g and mobile data. Overall great stay
- neilhW6112EJ (10/5): Great vibe. Warm and friendly staff. - Stayed overnight on 8th october 2025. All the staff were very welcoming. Particularly Tiffany, in the restaurant/bar, who was extremely friendly, and engaging. Food was good, and place just had a general ' good vibe'. Would recommend highly.
Neil & Dana. Company United Response.
- Alex-and-Mariola (10/5): Good value room in great location - Very nice over night stay the room was clean and comfortable. Staff are all cheerful and pleasant here and I think the breakfast buffet is very good here also. This is my 5th time staying here and it is very consistent. This hotel is great value for money for a city centre venue.
- I9344DMjennyn (10/5): Birthday stay - Excellent location for city centre , fabulous comfy beds along with a beautiful array of fruits cereals for breakfast . Not forgetting the good ole English breakfast bar …mmm mmm !
Overall a lovely stay x
- deanrT285IA (10/5): Nice hotel - Easy, nice place with helpful staff. Clean, efficient, great location for the showground. Stay here each year for events.
- Dreamer749515 (2/5): Premier Inn nightmare - I don’t understand why you pay for early check in when on arrival late check out is offered therefore you cannot get in to your room.
Receptionist unhelpful drinking energy drink was uninterested unprofessional and repeatedly stated early check in is based on availability on the day.
We paid extra for a premier room carpet was disgustingly marks up the walls windows not clean
- katepF7542PP (10/5): Fantastic room and a great stay - Lovely room with relaxing decor and best mattress- slept so well! Staff were warm and helpful plus a great breakfast. Right next to tons of cool restaurants. Highly recommend!
- jamesbX3424ND (10/5): Don the Don! - Don was a great help when we came from London for a business trip in Nottingham town centre - thanks for the help, would defo come again.
- johnmC5550YV (10/5): Just had an amazing stay at Premier inn Norwich West (showground) - We had an amazing stay. All the staff were professional, polite and very friendly, we had never visited this area before and the staff gave us lots of advice of where to visit. The room was clean and tidy with all the facilities we needed. Tina the housekeeper was helpful in assisting us, particularly with my husbands hearing disability, she was very patient and understanding.
- hollyrE6964HA (10/5): Thank you Premier Inn Showground - I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire team at Premier Inn for a truly pleasant stay.
The staff are what make this place exceptional – they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and approachable throughout our visit.
I was travelling with my young daughter to visit family, and we simply needed a comfortable, clean place to freshen up and relax in the evenings. This hotel was perfect for that. The room was spacious, spotless, and very well-maintained. I often struggle with pillows when staying in hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised – they were fantastic!
I also requested an iron and ironing board and, despite mentioning that there was no rush due to how busy it was, they were brought to my room almost immediately. That level of service was greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for a lovely stay – we look forward to visiting again soon.
Warm regards,
Holly Ramsay
- Flygirl74 (10/5): Best nights sleep ever! - Lovely large comfortable and clean room, with very helpful, friendly, staff.
The most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on, I am going to buy one!!
Hotel would benefit from aircon, however a good strong, quiet, fan was provided.
- Amandagrace1992 (4/5): Wouldn’t waste your money - Road noise SO loud, especially when we are in the room the furthest away from the entrance and directly next to the main road. Was absolutely boiling no air con just a rubbish plastic fan. The water wasn’t even drinkable, the vending machine at reception was SO expensive £2.70 for a bottle of water and the machines chiller had broken to it was room temperature. Very disappointing wouldn’t stay again.
- T8707MGphilr (10/5): Great place to stay. - Bed and breakfast stay after travelling for a family event, 4 of us in 2 rooms. Premier Inn - so comfortable, as always, and great value.
- joe1259 (6/5): Sticky floors broken searing - Not the best Premmier I stayed in room is OK no air con . No heated towel rail . Whifi rubbish
I had to connect to my phone to get a signal. Very warm in room even though you have a fan .rats running around outside. Floor in restaurants very sticky I thaught the soles of my shoes were going to come away. The seating outside the restaurant .
. falling apart. The
Food is not good Premmier in standards have dropped since covid. It is no longer a budget hotel. If you arrive before 3pm You pay £15 if you arrive early . Also Premmier inn are starting to charge for parking.
.outlook of the hotel needs updating
You can find cheaper hotels around now. Go on Google
- Voyager19423664840 (10/5): Enjoyable - All good, weather very hot, so the room was stifling even with the windows open and the pedistal fan provided.
Apart from that enjoyable stay, back in November.
- juliecS4089GW (8/5): Lovely clean comfy room with perfect bed - Lovely comfy bed, great food, but noisy as close to major road only problem was no air con so needed windows open as very hot night but too noisy, supplied a fan which was also noisy when running, staff were brilliant and very helpful could do with a small fridge for bottles of water but we will go again but will ask for upstairs room as I’ll feel safer with window open and I’ll take ear plugs
- sarahsY3404BX (10/5): Fantastic - What a lovely stay despite no air con on a hot day. Visiting family close by so location was brilliant for us. The room was spotless, bathroom was sparkling and as we walked into the room there was a wonderful aroma. Also on the tea station was my favourite biscuits which after a long travel and desperate for a brew, that was a nice surprise and I would like to thank "Tina" for the lovely biscuits and spotless room. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
- Neathers1923 (8/5): Great room - Don't Pay for the 'Unlimited Breakfast - doesn't exist - The hotel was comfortable and the room was of a decent size. Bed was comfortable. No complaints about the room.
However we paid for breakfast as well.
Premier Inn advertised this as their 'Signature / Famous' unlimited buffet breakfast. There were even posters confirming this within the actual hotel in which we stayed. However - This is NOT THE CASE. We could help ourselves to toast or even cerial - but the cooked 'Buffet' breakfast does not exist. Instead it is ordered - as in a restaurant - and is limited to a few items.
This is FALSE ADVERTISING and is very poor value for money. Quite honestly, we would have been better off going to the local pub that offered a much better breakfast for less money.
Even your cheaper rival (Travel Lodge) provide an unlimited buffet breakfast for ALL breakfast items.
Very disappointing, deliberately misleading and not the standard that I would expect. Previous stays at other Premier Inn locations provide what is advertised. Why not here?
- Roving65174229731 (10/5): Nice retreat - Relaxing stay and great, friendly staff. Good to also have your tea and coffee in your room topped up via main reception area which comes in very handy when you don’t want to go anywhere and just have a hot drink in your room and unwind. Will be staying there again in a fortnights time!
- C4414QPrutha (10/5): Comfortable stay - I had a short stay at Premier Inn Norwich West and it was comfortable. The room including the bathroom were clean, bed comfy and USB charging point by the bed. There's also a big car park in the grounds and bus stop outside the hotel so it's easy to get to from Norwich Bus station.
- 80stand (10/5): How Tracy made our stay amazing. - Amazing time. We got everything we expected from the rooms and more. Tracy who was working that day was amazing at dealing with all of us checking in at once as it was a little hectic with around 13 people. She also helped advise us on where to grab something to eat and even told me where i can grab some cutlery for my food which I brought with me. Life saver as I didn’t pack any and didn’t think anywhere would give me any. Another time she helped was when we thought we’d ask to have the door joining two rooms opened expecting the answer to be no but even though she was nearing the end of her shift Tracy said no problem and opened the door for us with a smile. Also kept a nice light hearted conversation going the whole time and just made the overall experience really good. Staff the following day were also very helpful but I feel like Tracy went above and beyond hence why I specifically wanted to mention her in this review.
- beaw669 (10/5): 5 star experience - Couldn’t be happier with our experience, check in was done smoothly by Tracey & Kelly on reception, who explained that shift handover was happening but checked us in efficiently and quickly, they were both polite and gave us information needed.
The room was immaculate and smelt clean.
Will definitely come and stay again.
- Louise (4/5): Past its best - Past it's best, carpets were filthy, bed very uncomfortable. Made do for one night but would not stay again.
- andrew (10/5): andrews night out at the theater - had a great night out went to the theater finished off with a nice night in the hotel
- Nitish (6/5): Ok - Staff was very courteous and helpful. Though the room condition, esp. carpet and sofa were less than desireable. I'm sure someone could look into it as it certainly needs a refurbishment.
Overall I'd say OK. Wouldn't stay with family.
- Mrs Angela (10/5): Value for money. - Just an overnight stay for a concert visit. Welcome friendly, hotel warm and clean. Room comfortable and well serviced. Breakfast acceptable. Extremely good value for price paid. Would use again and recommend.
- emily (10/5): Lovely weekend break! - Comfy room, great facilities, excellent location, good price and tasty breakfast!
- Meggie (6/5): Cheap and central location - We were attending the Queen concert and found this hotel had a great central location easy walk to the Arena; loads restaurants and shops close by; the public car park was convenient but is very tight I'm pleased I wasn't driving; rooms comfortable and clean; breakfast busy so ate in the bar area but not really a problem
- Russel (10/5): Great Place to Stay - So central close to tube station
- Colin (6/5): Good for Nottingham City Centre - Pretty standard Holiday inn express, you know what you are getting. Clean but basic rooms, good location for notts city centre, parking available
- Alex (8/5): Bed stained - The bed were stained and the Woodward we all damaged and sofa bed had big wee stain on ot
- guido (6/5): Satisfactory business stay over - The hotel was clean, room ok but for a little bit of wear and tear. Bit noisy
- Verified traveler (10/5): Generally very good. - Stayed over New Year's Eve. Nice hotel, good breakfast, great location.
- lloyd (4/5): Poor sevice - stayed ther for two nights , my room was not cleaned at all , went out at 1200hrs mid day and returned at 0100hrs , complained to front desk who imformed domestis supervisor , i waited at check out to see supervisor who did not bother come and explain why my room was cleaned at all , very poor service , great location of hotel in town ,
- Andrew (8/5): Christmas Break at the Holiday Inn Express - Notts - I used to live in Nottingham and wanted a hotel in a good location for the shops. 24h Car parking can be expensive in Nottingham but this hotel had a deal with the local secure car park next to Hurts Yard (2 mins walk) so parking was approx £6.50 for the 24 hours which is a bargain. The room was clean, good flat screen TV, good bathroom, but bed perhaps a bit hard but this is always a personal thing so you may not have any issue here. I was expecting just a continental breakfast but there were some hot items also. Requested more pillows...not a problem and they were delivered to room in 10 minutes, I found the staff very friendly...another bonus. Combine this with a comparatively cheap rate to other hotels in the area and cheap parking I would stay here again.
- Vince (4/5): Worse holiday inn express - The room was not cleaned, the door was damaged and a lamp was missing from one of the side table.
The hotel is clearly not to the standard of other Holiday Inn. I do not recommend this place.
Breakfast is average
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst night in a hotel.. - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The bed had no brakes on it so it was moving around all the time, also it had a huge dip in the middle of the mattress which led to me and my partner having a sleepless night! The cot provided for my baby was broken which led to him having to sleep in his pram.. Along with this while trying to stop the bed from moving there where peanuts under the bed which proves the room wasn't cleaned properly.. Overall I think attention to detail is needed and the hotels interior and comfort looking in to, will not be staying here or at any holiday inn again..
- Philip (8/5): Good value, pleasant night, fair breakfast - Moved to room facing away from the road on an upper floor and consequently had a peaceful night. Corridors smelt clean and fresh. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Surprisingly good coffee. Very good vfm.
- su (6/5): disappointing - greeting was a little odd, expecting a warm and cheery greeting
it was a though we'd interrupted
brought the confirmation note that I had sent to confirm booking - show this them when I booked in as they coul dnot locate my name , to be told abrupt tha this is not one of ours
tea and coffee not replenished
Chamber maids came across rude in the corridors - unprofessional
check the coffee machine in the eating area and this tasted like chemicals especially the latte .
thisi was a little disappointing - but did the purpose for our needs
- Gerald (8/5): Lovely stay. - Had a lovely stay thank you .We stayed in room 208 and although it was a good room the mattress badly needs changing as it sinks in the middle, also the toilet seat needs tightening, gave me quite a fright when I sat down! These are only little niggles and would definitely stay again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): OK for a night! - Put in a disabled room with a shower that was really just a drip. Not likely to hurry back
- Charlotte (8/5): Fabtastic staff and location - The staff were fantastic! Great location, really central and good discounted parking.
The hotel however is tired and needs a total refurb..
- Anthony (8/5): Good all round hotel. - Excellent location. Helpful staff.
Great breakfast with some cooked items(sausage, egg & beans)not just continental.
- Verified traveler (8/5): great location, - Fantastic stay. I always stay at Holiday Inn express. Super location. Everything's within walking distance. Breakfast was appreciated.
- william (8/5): Great location and perfect for our overnight stay - 1 night stay with friends
- David (10/5): Family visit to Nottingham - Family visit to Nottingham to see the sights, so looking for cheap accommodation for us and 4 children. Rooms were quiet even though overlooking roundabout, suited us fine, sofa bed wasn't the greatest for an adult to sleep on but for younger children fine. Kids all tucked in to the breakfast. Well located for walking around town.
- Dorothy (6/5): Excellent location...great staff..rooms need TLC - The hotel is in an ideal location bang in the middle of town...walk straight out the door into the chapel quarter...the hotel staff are extremely efficient and the lady in the dining area acutally went to tesco to buy us some gluten free bread for breakfast! Security is good but the room i stayed in - room 113 - was a little worse for wear...the carpet was very badly stained...there was a smell coming from somewere/thing....the bed was very lumpy...and the towels were small and threadbare....for the two nights i stayed there last week it was more than adequate for my needs but the rooms could definately do with some TLC and i would have been very upset if i'd paid full price for the room
- Md Nurul (8/5): good - very nice
- DKH (6/5): Dirty rooms - Wouldn't stay here again, only positive is the location. Room was dirty with cigarette burns on carpet and water stains on the wall. Got moved to another room on same floor but still stank and wasn't comfortable.
- BLODDERS (4/5): CENTRAL LOCATION - DREADFUL CAR PARKING ARRANGEMENTS IF ARRIVING LATE
HOTEL GENERALLY VERY 'TIRED' - I USE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS A LOT, BUT WOULDN'T USE THIS ONE AGAIN.
BREAKFAST VERY SPARSE, NO TEA SPOONS, NO FORKS AND KNIVES DIRTY.
SHOWER 'RAIL' COMING AWAY FROM THE WALL - SHOWER ITSELF VERY POOR
HUGE UNPLEASANT STAIN OUTSIDE MY BEDROOM DOOR
- Anand (8/5): Great Location - THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS SATISFYING AS THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IS FANTASTIC.IT IS NEAR TO ALL THE MAJOR LOCATIONS OF THE CITY AND ONE JUST CANNOT COMPLAIN ON THAT COUNT.HOWEVER,THE ROOM CARPET SEEMS TO HAVE WORN OUT WITH AGE AND USEAGE AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED ON PRIORITY AS IT GIVES AN OFFENSIVE SMELL AT TIMES .THE STAFF IS COURTEOUS AND PROMPT.BREAKFAST IS JUST ABOUT OKAY AND COULD BE VARIED.ON THE WHOLE ITS VALUE FOR MONEY.
- FinnK (2/5): unsuitable for families, excellent for nights out - we booked a room with our 18 month toddler. there was a foldable sofa bed that became her bed, and the only way she could sleep on it was across the bed, rather than along it. The shower pod was horrible, with the toilet giving out a stench that seemed quite nasty. Even our daughter used her own travel potty in the room, because the pod was unbearable. otherwise, breakfast was reasonable, the location is really good for city centre accessibility, however it is very hard to disembark and reload a vehicle as the hotel front is on a busy roundabout. i wouldn't recommend it to young families at all. noisy too, as it is next to a city center road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Comfortable beds! Thank you very much for making our stay enjoyable. The baby travelling cot was also great.
- Raayan (2/5): Worst stay ever - Will never recommend this to anyone. All the beds in all the rooms creak every time you change side. I booked two double bedrooms with sofa beds and was expecting both the rooms to be together but they were on different floors. I had to stay night away from my family, website does mention surcharge for parking but it is £8.60 per day and Saturday night parking was a night mare. Rooms maintenance in bad condition. Second day I was moved to the same floor as my other family and the sofa bed in that room won't open up properly and I had to sleep on that which gave me back pain since the manager told me that he will have to charge me for additional room if he moves me into single room due to bad sofa bed. What a customer service? Third day hotel staff moved me into another room and therefore my whole stay was spent moving rooms everyday of my stay and I am totally annoyed because of that.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel, shame about the traffic noise - I thought the hotel itself was more than satisfactory. Staff were friendly, service was good and the room was very comfortable. It's just a shame about the location, as the traffic noise from the busy road outside was quite loud. It did quieten down through the night but there was still a constant buzz of cars, motorbikes and lorries and as a result, I didn't really get a good night's sleep. Shame, as the hotel itself was pretty good.
- peter_blondie (4/5): Not up to scratch - Hotel really needs updating. Not a patch on the same hotel I stayed at 3/4 years ago. Carpets and curtains were dirty. Regret that some staff were really unhelpful.
- Miky (4/5): Disappointing stay - Very disappointed. This hotel is desperately in need of an update. Dirty, worn carpets and curtains. Breakfast also poor. Staff were unhelpful.
- Anita (8/5): Good value for money - Hotel was most reasonably priced and included breakfast! Room was nice and beds comfortable. Location was also excellent
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very hot stay - Perfect location but the hotel is looking tired. I stayed here when it first opened and it was great but there are now broken doors and stained carpets. I had to move rooms due to the aircon not working. On a 26+ degree day it is very necessary! It was on the system as not working so I did wonder why they would put someone in there in that heat. The staff were really good and changed me without any issues.
- David (10/5): Great value - We went to see a concert in the Nottingham Concert Hall and needed an overnight stay. The Holiday Inn Express was ideal for this. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast and wi-fi free. The price for a Sunday night excellent. Great value shopping and bars/restaurants in Nottingham too.Would definately do it again!
- henry (4/5): No drop off or parking - Parking was a few hundred yards away and with no place to drop off and check in that meant lugging suitcases through the street. Internet connections completely inoperable. Unfortunately not a good stay. Hotel is probably ok by taxi but don't drive.
- Dean (10/5): Very comfy - I liked this hotel. The room was larger than other well known hotels. The bed was comfy, the service good, love the ice machines Holiday Inns have, room had a bath which I appreciated. All in all a good nights stay. I will return when next in the area.
- vancouverislandken (10/5): Centrally located haven - Great except for the difficulty of access when arriving by car. No luggage drop-off and one-way systems made finding it and the preferred car park difficult.
- Trev (8/5): Good central hotel - Only a ten minute walk from the station so very near city centre. Everything at the hotel was fine. I arrived early and was able to check in early at no extra cost. Complimentary breakfast is good too.
- Suzy (8/5): Fave place to stay in Nottingham - This place is convenient for being in the city centre and I'm always happy with it. If only there was a better car park nearby and it would be perfect! Totally would recommend it.
- MAcG (6/5): Uncomfortable beds - IHG you need to spend on new mattresses and or beds. The existing ones are rubbish and spoil an otherwise decent hotel
- Andy (6/5): Average stay, less than average mattress - Booked a room at this hotel last minute. Not the easiest hotel to find at 10 o'clock at night, but we got there. Staff were alright at check in. Room was small, basic and for the most part clean. Mattress was so thin and cheap you could feel the springs when you lay on it, resulting in a restless night. Breakfast was a lot better than expected. Overall I would not recommend to friends or family.
- Costellomusic (4/5): Poor Service - Very poor service from this hotel. Would not recommend other than the location is very central for my needs, still waiting on complaint resolution (or contact for that matter) over 3 days later.
- Sat (8/5): Clean Basic Hotel - Stayed here recently for one night. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. There were tea/coffee making facilities and the the rate included breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location, average hotel - Great place to be, right in the middle of everything. Service was great, wifi and breakfast were nice additions. Rooms were just a bit "tired".
- Oliver (6/5): Average hotel but good location - Was an average experience for the money. There are better hotels close by which would offer better value for money. ***One word of caution is that there is a smoking corridor which I got stuck staying on and the smell of smoke really got to me. Make sure when you book to request a non smoking area of the hotel for all you non smokers***
- PB (4/5): Noisy surroundings - Despite me requesting for a quiet room I was allocated a room on the road side. Also, the location was not great for me because it was far from the business I was looking for, but that's more to do with the hotels.com agent who booked me into wrong hotel. The staff were helpful and the room was clean though.
- Bubbleandsqueek (6/5): Below average - Compared to other holiday inn express hotels, this hotel is below average. The rooms, decor and facilities are dated. The carpet around the hotel has stains on it and looks worn.
- Chas B (8/5): Good Value - Great hotel location and good value for money.
- N-Town Girl (8/5): Great location - The hotel was as I expect these hotels to be. The location is great, right in the city centre. You could fall out the door into all the shops, restaurants and bars you need. Wish parking was free- but you don't actually have to park too far away from the centre to get free parking on the road. The breakfast was included and again it was like you would imagine in a hotel like this...buffet style with a limited cooked breakfast, toast, croissants, yoghurts and cereals. My main complaint was that we were in a smoking room and we are non smokers. The windows do not open and so there was a smoky smell in the room which bothered us through our stay. The room was clean though. The staff were good and the service efficient. I would stay again anytime...but I'd make sure the room reserved was no smoking.
- Adam (10/5): Perfect - Only stayed there for a night, but room was large, clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, location was perfect, price was excellent, what more can you need?
- Stuart Garside (6/5): - Hotel was ok however did not park in correct car park to get a reduction, you need to check ahead of time on which of the local car parks to use. Place was ok, Staff was ok however, parking costs was a sting was not expecting to fully pay.
- KK (6/5): Staff needs serious training - Great Location...great prices... However staff is shocking. There isn't any element of customer service to what they do!
Would I stay there again...??? Not sure that's because of rude staff...!!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ok for a cheap and cheerful night on the town. - The room was basic but clean and the breakfast fine for what we wanted. Not a special occasion sort of place but great if wanting a night out in the town. Very central.
- Natsie (8/5): Ideal location - The hotel was clean the breakfast was ok just what you need before a return journey. The rooms were spacious beds comfy . Stayed at the hotel as we went to an event at the capital fm arena The only downfall was the service we wasn't asked if we had a pleasant stay I felt that we wasn't acknowledged because we were a family and not business stayers. I even had to ask about the discounted parking. I would recommend the hotel
- ChrisP (8/5): "Twin Beds" but only just - Ordered twin beds but actually given a standard double plus a "put you up" bed. Not quite what was advertised. Otherwise fine.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Breakfast is poor - If you are booking the hotel on the basis of the free breakfast then don't because the quality is poor, particularly the hot items.
