Guest Reviews
- Elvira (10/5): - La estancia perfecta, todo limpio y cómodo, también muy tranquilo para descansar.
El personal muy amable.
- Jon (8/5): - Comfortable, clean room, very friendly staff and, amazingly, on on-site restaurant, the first we've come across at a Premier Inn! And the food at breakfast was excellent. The property location is a bit hard to get to, in the back corner of an industrial estate and not walkable, but still relatively convenient for the town.
- darronn721 (8/5): Good for a short visit - Staff were well trained and very friendly. Good location for the shops and easy to get to Chester by bus. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Excellent location for the Aquarium and the zoo as well as chesire oaks shopping centre.
- jubobz (10/5): Best ever stay in a Premier Inn! - My room was beautifully clean and welcoming. The staff were so friendly. Charlotte on Reception was delightful and Mel was helpful and so friendly.
Would definitely recommend and I plan to stay again in January.
- cuneytc2019 (10/5): What a great hotel - Ive stayed at luxurious hotels in chichester (currently at harbour hotel as im writing this review) and I can say that premier inn is by far the best for a good nights sleep.
- pamhD4677AK (8/5): Spotless hotel - We could not fault our room. Everything spotless. Credit to housekeeping. All linen crisp and white. Comfy bed and good night sleep.
Despite extensive renovations very limited impact on our stay .
Only downside for us the pub was closed but sure that is only temporary.
Excellent value and service thankyou
- Shiwoo (10/5): - 친절
- ONELSO (10/5): Great place for a few nights - Great visit, always stay here when visiting the new forest fantastic location and near everything you need. Welcomed by the lovely Charlotte, will be back for more I’m sure! Thanks again!
- F2181XUdavidp (2/5): Needs upgrading in lots of area's to many to mention, Self Service is total rubbish, lost it's appeal totally !!!!!!! - Needs upgrading in lots of area's to many to mention, Self Service is total rubbish, lost its appeal totally !!!!!!!
After many years using Premier Inn this is the last straw, the last three inns we have used have been very poor, & in the past i have recommended this chain of Premier Inns to Golfer friends & family that's all changed now, what a big disappointment !!!!
Also after a long journey it's nice to be welcomed with real smiling humans face, not a depressing tablet that most people want to get away from !!!!!!
It's a joke no real value for customer care anymore just a number in a box with a bed when my wife who never normally leaves reviews wrote out her completed review and it wouldn't let her submit it, so i'm am now trying to up load direct with Tripadvisor.
Our room was smelly and damp no human around to help, even had to ask a stranger how to check in and programme the chip door entry key. desk had a leg hanging off, bathroom disgusting, to the point we did not shower there, and kept our clothes on to sleep on the bed as it was damp and smelt, no human to complain to!!!!!!!! and even the hallway carpet had a trip hazard yellow and black tape around a cover or something else, and again smelt damp. carpets dirty,

- Judoman45 (10/5): 1 night stay - Ideal location right off the motorway, friendly staff and lovely new redesigned rooms. No frills does exactly what it says on the tin.
- N4524VIhayleyw (2/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Thick dust in the bedroom on the lamps, table and on the headboard. Mold in the bathroom. Didn’t see staff. Mold in the hallway ceiling.
- lynnsK8539IW (4/5): Refurbishment desperately needed! - Location was useful for an event in New Milton. However the hotel has definitely seen better days and is in total decline. The carpets in the corridors and the rooms smell. They are dusty and dirty. The bathroom floor was dirty and sticky. The soft furnishings smelled musty and the chair was badly stained.
I woke early and couldn’t wait to leave . There was no one around with whom we could discuss our issues.
The restaurant also smelled vile and the food was outrageously expensive for what was on offer.
The only thing that was good was the bed!
- TrueReviews1966 (4/5): A review of 2 extremes - Recently I stayed with my husband… I booked the Premier Inn because we had stayed at Chichester Gate earlier in the year.
We thought our experience would be the same as then, it wasn’t!!
Our first booking was in a Premier plus room, the most recent booking was in a regular room. What a difference!
Premier plus… Large, top floor, quiet, comfortable & clean.
Regular room… Ground floor (The hotel doesn’t seem to have sound proofing, so every single movement from above was heard) Unfortunately for us the room above us were extremely loud. It was quite late at night and so we asked reception if we could be moved. Reception said they would instead ask them to be quiet. Half an hour later the room was just as noisy as before. My husband went back to reception and asked again about the noises, the receptionist was quite reluctant but eventually said she’d go.. (she hadn’t gone the first time we’d asked btw). The noises stopped 15 mins later.
The regular rooms are also much smaller than the Premier Plus rooms, (much smaller than other Regular rooms in Premier Inn’s around the country also) Though this could just be the room we were in.
The cleanliness of the room wasn’t great, there was white fluff on the carpet on one side. My husband cut his foot on the door stop that had lost rubber stopper and had very sharp metal edges.
The heater didn’t work properly… The room was quite cold when we entered, so we turned the heater on and set the temp to 23°… the unit made a puffing noise intermittently but didn’t actually heat the room. During the night it would splutter into life occasionally, but ultimately we just had to stay cold.
We enjoyed our visit back in May, we didn’t enjoy this visit!
On our earlier visit to Chichester Gate Premier Inn we didn’t eat breakfast so I don’t have a comparison. All I can do is talk about the experience we had at our recent visit…
Thank goodness for Ethan… The breakfast server. What an asset to the company. If it wasn’t for him, our booking would have been a completely failure.
Ethan was bright, cheerful, professional, helpful and extremely hard working.
The breakfast was ok.. There was plenty of ‘continental’ offerings ( we were first to the restaurant so that was expected) but the cooked full English, though a great choice of ingredients, was left lacking. Mine was really pleasant, a little cold though, but my husband’s wasn’t, he’d ordered scrambled eggs and mushrooms with his full English, he had to drain the water from his plate into a bowl from the eggs and ‘boiled’ mushrooms, shame because the other ingredients were quite nice but again, cold.
So, apart from Ethan, this most recent stay wasn’t good.
If you need to book a room here, make sure you are in a top floor room, check everything works and don’t expect a friendly receptionist.
- 533alecd (10/5): Comfortable with good service - Quiet comfortable room, good breakfast and great service, particularly Chloe, who went that extra mile.
Handy for city centre and shops.
Always nice to visit
- peterj2000 (4/5): Give it a BIG miss! - We booked for two nights and paid the extra for an early arrival, which for Premier Iinn is 11:00am. When we arrived there was no one in reception but there were two check in machines, one of which was not working. We tried scanning our booking bar code but this didn't work. We rang the bell for assistance but no one came. We had no idea of course if anyone had heard the bell or not. Still one turned up so we tried again. After some time a member if staff arrived dressed in Halloween costume who was clearly irritated at being disturbed. I asked why we were unable to use the machine and we were told she's tuned of the check in function because it was before the check-in time of 3:00pm! (Really) I asked about our, booked, early check-in but this made no difference. She had more Halloween things to do! When we got to the room it was below even the low standard of the usual Premier inn. The room was cold and and the heating control was dead with nothing showing on the LCD screen. I went down to speak to the member of staff and later she arrived with some batteries which she pit in the control panel. The panel worked but the single radiator in the room didn't come on ( it had a light indicating when it was working) The staff member said it will come on eventually, but it didn't. I also asked for the dead bulb for the main light in the room to be replaced but it wasn't during our two day stay. The room was drab, the location is on an industrial estate and the breakfast was really ghastly. The two nights cost circa £240. We would have been warmer and more comfortable if we'd have slept in the car! You REALLY should avoid this place
- jilliano672 (8/5): Clean & comfortable but could do with updating - Stayed overnight prior to Graduation Ceremony at the BIC. I had a room on the ground floor & my daughter a premier room on the first floor although we had not booked a premier one. My room was clean + comfortable & overlooked the carpark, but could do with updating. My daughter's room was the same but had a mini fridge, coffee maker & armchair, the glasses on her tray were not clean.
We really wanted breakfast at 06.45am but were told by Receptionist we had to book on the hour or half hour only, so booked for 06.30am. When we went to the Restaurant, we were told by staff we could have had breakfast at 06.45am & had been given incorrect information by Receptionist!
At the time of booking accommodation, there was a choice of having a continental breakfast or paying more for a cooked & continental breakfast - eat as much as you wanted. We both had a cooked breakfast which was very nice & filling.
This Premier Inn was conveniently situated for us to get to Bournemouth for the Graduation Ceremony & we went to The Boathouse in Christchurch just a short drive away for a delicious evening meal.
- wander_soul_2 (6/5): Vans everywhere - We stayed at the Premier Inn Chester South East last week. The hotel itself is fine, and staff were pleasant and helpful, (the reception seemed to be permanently unmanned but there was a buzzer).
The small onsite car park was full of work vans during the day and overnight (presumably belonging to contractors doing the renovation work), which meant we had to park in a dark, quiet car park next to an abandoned restaurant building next door. It didn’t feel very welcoming or particularly safe at night with kids. I can’t understand why the vans couldn’t use that area instead, leaving the main car park by the hotel entrance for paying guests. To make matters worse, some vehicles were parked across two bays, reducing spaces even further, frustrating when there aren’t many spots to begin with.
Our room was dated, although renovation work is clearly in progress. There were no power sockets by one side of the bed, and the other side didn’t even have a bedside table. On the positive side, the staff were lovely, and breakfast was excellent. They catered well for a gluten-free diet - I appreciated seeing the chef take care to use a separate toaster for gluten-free bread, and it was reassuring being able to see into the kitchen.
The breakfast area seems to have been converted from a few bedrooms, which is I’ve not seen before at Premier Inn, but it worked perfectly well. I didn’t hear any noise from the renovations (a relief), though I did hear a fair bit of noise from the room above.
Overall it was a fine stay but nothing special. The parking situation was a real downside, and the room felt tired. I’d consider staying again once the renovations are complete - hopefully with better parking arrangements.
- KatieR2009 (8/5): Quiet, clean and comfortable With good location. - Room was clean and beds comfortable. Our room had a window with opening restricted to a small gap. However it does mean you can get fresh air in your room as I cannot stand the ones where the window is sealed completely shut. Decor in main bedroom good. Bathroom looking a little tired. There is a large Carpark and it is opposite a retail park. Staff were helpful and friendly.
- 526gs526 (6/5): Exactly what you expect from a premier inn - In need of a refurb and it is getting one soon. Clean enough but was far too hot but fans were provided which did help. Staff friendly and helpful. Will probably return after the refurb.
- debbiedS5811TH (2/5): Very poor PremInn experience - We had a 2 night stay booked. Didn't sleep at all. The room was so hot it was impossible to sleep. Air conditioning unit not working. Window facing main road so had constant traffic noise. The room was dark and grubby. No one on the desk when checking out so couldn't complain or highlight the faulty air con unit. Waiting 20 mins just to be seated for breakfast. Was ignored by receptionist who could not seat us. No juice left, no pastries left, coffee machine not working. The staff when they did appear were clesrly over worked. Not the standard I expected from PremInn.
- mikeeK6208LW (8/5): Impressive Breakfast. The car Park is a shambles. - The breakfast was very impressive.
The parking was a complete shambles with all the work going. Reception guy didn't have much of a personality. The lady tried charging £15 on arrival for early check in of an hour even though the room was ready. The location was brilliant and some really convenient stuff nearby.
Overall, the value of money for the stay was reasonable for what I paid.
- jfmorley (8/5): Lost property - I unfortunately left my Kindle and pocket diary when I , my wife and four friends stayed with you on the 1st October. On the telephone you confirmed that they were held in your safe and asked for a stamped and addressed envelope to enable you to return them.
This I duly sent but have still not received them. You have told me on the phone that they have been posted. Please check with the person concerned as to when they were posted back to me.

- westfieldam (8/5): Premier Inn Quality as to be expected - A premier inn on a retail/leisure park near the train station. I booked a Premier Inn plus room (accidently) so room may have been a little nicer than standard. However I don't think the extra expense was worth it for us.
Breakfast was good, I liked the available tea pots and milk jugs which I've only seen in a couple of Premier inns before. The air conditioning in our room was a little 'gurgley' and noisy, however the windows can be opened but be aware the leisure park does attract some noise like cars/motor bikes revving at night. Staff were all lovely and overall the hotel was clean.
- TominBklyn (10/5): Good choice in Chichester - While it doesn't look like much from the outside, the Premier Inn Chichester South is a quite comfortable accommodation and a very good value for the money. I had no complaints. Good breakfast (prepared to order). The hotel is walking distance to the train station.
- 966stephw (8/5): Good stay at Priemer Inn - We stayed as we were visiting relatives for a party.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and we found it quiet.
There is a Sainsbury’s opposite however there is no bar here it has closed down. We would stay here again just not having the attached restaurant was a bit of a pain.
We asked in Sainsbury’s about places to eat and a member of Staff told us about a pub further up in Huntington called the Rake And Pikel.
We ate there and I have to say it was fantastic it’s a bit far to walk but about a five min drive away.
- B9730YJpaulf (8/5): Standard Premier Inn - A standard hotel, with everything you need in it. Easy due to consistency and all clean and tidy.
Plenty of parking, easy to log car details zndvuts free. Maybe at worst 8 minutes walk gets you right into the centre so very handy.
Staff great, very helpful busy breakfast service but they coped really well....whilst keeping a smile.
- chrisnsal1 (2/5): Premier Inn East, Christchurch. ( DISGUSTING TO SAY THE LEAST ) - Absolutely filthy with loads of black mould in the bathroom, walls were filthy and bathroom door plate was held down with duct tape. , The whole suite looked like it had not been cleaned for months, i will never use premier inn again as i have stayed at the nearby travelodge and its so much better. Even the resteraunt attached to this hotel was filthy and tired inside also the bed matress was warped in the middle and the matress was nothing better than a bowed barn door. Filthy place and a health hazard with plenty of black mould . ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !!!!
- G14red (2/5): Renovation at Hotel - When we checked in on the Thursday there was a huge refurbishment going on we were not told of and we had booked a few days in advance it was not on their website as stated by the staff. There was a sign on the desk saying the electricity would be off the next day from 10 till 1. We had a two night booking!! We asked about what time the tradesmen started and was told 8am the noise was horrendous above our room with tools being dropped on the ceiling , drilling , sawing hammering .We always stay at Premier Inns and have never made a complaint until now. In my opinion the scale of the renovation, transit vans, containers everywhere the hotel should be closed. The receptionists were lovely but could do nothing to help.
- L1306HAerinf (4/5): Breakfast disaster - Room was fine, location fine but customer service was terrible and breakfast service was an absolute shambles. On the day we were promised a refund on breakfast and have attempted contact several times to arrange but are just being ignored. I've stayed in plenty of premier Inns over the years, with no issues but the customer service attached to this one is absolutely horrendous
- S7424YBchloet (10/5): Have no complaints, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had - Great night sleep, it was very quiet, very comfy beds and good location, really clean rooms and really friendly staff. Would happily stay again:)
- 58capriceb (10/5): Amazing stay at the premier inn! - Amazing atmosphere, service and staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel for any family’s travelling throughout this area. As well as the friendly staff our room was immaculate and comfortable for the entire family.
- 300mwf (10/5): Amazing - Had to be one of the best hotels in the area . So affordable and the room was amazing . The staff were lovely and attentive with any issues . The room was spotless not even a spec of dust on the side . Although there was a family a couple doors down the noise was at a minimum only really hearing it when the door was open for whatever reason .
Will be recommending to friends and family.
- 486elsieo (10/5): Pleasant and convinient - Everything I needed from a night at Premier Inn. Comfy bed, slept well, close to a nice walk to a beautiful beach. Everyone I spoke to was friendly and helpful. Happy to stay again, thank you.
- Experience289834 (10/5): Phil was exceptional - Visited for the weekend and was greeted by Phil who checked us and gave us a variety of recommendations for live music and a great restaurant he even booked us a table. Can’t wait to stay here again
- JasonR501 (10/5): Fab stay - All in all a very pleasant two nights here. I was a little apprehensive when reading some reviews about the Devore and dirty areas. From the moment we arrived the two lady’s on reception were just amazing! Extremely friendly and we even had a bit of banter back and forth. We had friends coming to see us from nearby and there was no problem with booking a table (My daughter and her friend had pepperoni pizza and they were huge and very good)
Breakfast wasn’t the usual buffet arrangement but you could order as much as you want and to be honest as it was all cooked fresh it was better quality than a buffet. Yes some areas could do with a touch up but it was certainly not dirty. We would stay here again without any hesitation.
- ianjK5745EK (6/5): No charge points. - Spotlessly clean as always but £150 a night and breakfast isn't included!
Also no wall charge points. What year is this?
- Meldrew1950 (6/5): Let down by TV tat! - A comfortable room is usually to be expected - and was here.
BUT a cheap TV with not even the luxury of a HDMI port - poor in a time of extensive streaming.
- davidrI107UV (6/5): Disappointing - A slightly tatty room. Not as clean as usual Premier Inns . Breakfast was disappointing , as not a self serve hot buffet . Shame.
- jenniferpJ7792VM (10/5): Perfect - This premier inn is excellant there was not a fault to be found it was so relaxing we wished we had stayed there 3 days before instead of a static caravan
- micahelw2014 (10/5): You're not going to find a cheaper great place to stay. - I wanted an affordable, comfortable hotel close to Chester Zoo, and this Premier Inn proved to be perfect for us. Really easy to find, plenty of parking and great location if you're travelling by car. The bedroom was very good and the bed was very comfortable. Our breakfast experience was first class; food was great but the winning feature was the excellent breakfast team.
- angiesA6050BE (6/5): Robotic Reception. - The staff member at reception was very non complyant and didn't really want to help you. She didn't give you eye contact and made us feel that when we asked her questions they were short, sharp and we were putting her out from her tapping on her computer. The staff in the restaurant were nice, and so were the cleaners. I've stayed in lots of premier inns and this is the first time we have experienced such hostile welcoming.
- janaja45 (6/5): Nice stay but hotel needs a refurb. - We stayed at the Christchurch East Premier Inn Somerford on Saturday and Sunday night to visit relatives.
The Premier inn was your normal Premier inn, you know what you are getting.
Our room (36) was at the very end of a maze of corridors on the ground floor.
Lovely comfy bed so a great nights sleep, but we felt that the hotel needs a refurb.
Our room smelt a bit musty at times, there were cobwebs on the window and the net and curtains at the window looked like they had seen better days.
Everything else was fine, very clean, but definitely needs a new lease of life.
We had breakfast in the restaurant (08/09) and the staff in there were lovely. Young girl checking you in and showing you to your tables is an asset to the company. (Blonde hair had a pink and white striped top on) didn’t get her name.
The food was lovely and all the staff very helpful but the whole food area and bar area looks very tired. Paint missing off walls and on the wooden columns. The carpet looked very well used.
Overall lovely staff, comfy beds, but the hotel itself lets the staff down. Please do a refurb.
One other comment, the car park needs a definite change. If you have a car any bigger than a mini (old style) then the length of the car parking space is not big enough. Your car hangs over the end about two feet. The spaces must of been done before all the new suv type vehicles came along.
Would use the hotel again because of location, but only if it had a refurb.
- mariebN4526DC (2/5): Rude staff and filthy restaurant! - Stayed in many Premier Inns and never have I come across such an unpleasant, unfriendly, rude person on reception and made to feel so unwelcome! The member of staff on reception did help us with the self check in but it was as if it was a chore to do so. Went back down to reception to request an ironing board and because she was too preoccupied with her mobile phone , just pointed a finger in the direction of where I could find one. She didn’t even have the courtesy to look up! The room curtains were ragged with holes in them and the whole thing was tired looking. The ironing board cover was way too small for the ironing board so couldn’t use it anyway. The Beefeater restaurant was disgustingly dirty. Floor, walls, blinds all covered in dirt and tables and chairs in an appalling state. The staff were so lovely so it is such a shame they have to serve food to their customers in such a filthy environment. If this is what the restaurant is like, I dread to think what state the kitchen is in! I will be boycotting this hotel in future. Whitbread should be ashamed of themselves!!!
- robbt201 (4/5): Ok hotel poor service. - Adequate hotel with poor bar and catering service, to be informed as a group of 10 that the bar would be closing at 9:30pm is simply not good enough. This would certainly make us question booking a Premier Inn again, surely if you have residents there you keep the bar and catering service open
- T4964LIgrahamb (4/5): Fresh blood on sheets - We found fresh blood on the white bedsheets in the bed made up for our son. The receptionist did apologise and came in s straight away to change it, but clearly the sheets had not been changed from the previous person. I was also informed that I would have the breakfast refunded, but this never happened.
- chriscR6597SX (6/5): Little attention to cleanliness - Very average stay & little attention to cleanliness.
Hotel needs better cleaning in the room.
There were also spiders in the room
Big cobwebs at the window ( outside) that look like they have been there a year.
Hair left on the bath. Bathroom looking tired. Very stained toilet seat underneath. Should have been replaced a long time ago.
Sink tap sprays water on you and your clothes.
- GeraldD863 (8/5): Good location but away from the A27! - Other than a long wait at reception whilst the receptionist and senior member of staff discussed the ins and outs of a customers's booking. It only needed on person to do this and we had to wait!
Our room over looked the exceedingly noisy A27. With everything closed we could still hear and sometimes feel the rumble from the traffic.
We were advised by the manager to check the room with reception next time.
We use this hotel 2/3 times a year.
It's always a good place to stay.
- Travelsfromsussex (6/5): Decent rooms. Shame about lack of security. - Room was clean and as you would expect for a premier inn. Very warm though. There was a decent fan which helped a bit. We couldn’t leave the window open (only opened about an inch anyway!) due to noise on the street outside. Reception staff and breakfast staff were lovely, but dinner time wasn’t as good, very slow service and we felt like we were putting them out asking for a drink.
We noticed that the fire exits, main door and door to the corridor of rooms downstairs were all propped open most of the time. It did make me feel a bit uneasy, especially with children, as it was very open, these doors all had card readers on but being open any one could have walked in!
Apart from that, an ok stay. Very easy to get to zoo and park and ride into town is nearby. Big Sainsbury’s too which is very handy.
- abcde2599 (8/5): Stay here for Chester Zoo - Great place to stay for visiting Chester Zoo or the city of Chester. Sainsburys within walking distance. Missing the usual bedside power sockets and more importantly a grabrail for getting out of the bath/shower.
- H7324BCanthonyc (4/5): Poor - Dirty room cob webs and dust on the walls obviously hasn’t been properly cleaned for a while just the basics
Very noisy fan in bathroom that didn’t actually remove steam even after been for breakfast
- susanbZ569JP (2/5): Unhappy staff and poor hygiene - Went to our room, found it very dark, hardly no lighting, room was very hot, & a fan supplied, not much good as window didn't open much so hot air was blowing around, bath still had last guest scum rings around it, floor hadn't been hoovered, went and told receptionist, she said she will get it sorted, my husband and I made our self scarce for a couple of hours, found out the receptionist tried to clean it, it was better than it was, then as I walked around the bed I found a dirty pair of slippers, went back to complain, she gave us another room, wasn't much better, I ended up cleaning the bath, toilet, and all other units as were very grubby, also a quilt under the bed in a bin bag. Iwas kept up all night by doors banging, lady who saw us to our table at breakfast was very grumpy, she stuck us near a AC unit, so we had a cold breakfast, when I mentioned it to her the next morning, no apology, she just said it comes on automatically, and just walked away,
The tables in the restaurant were very sticky and the food was very dry
It's a shame because I have been to this hotel alot, and it's a shame it's gone downhill so quick.
It needs a good lick of paint and a nice welcome.
- 249annmm (6/5): Not good - Stayed for one night. On entering the reception area the smell of cigarette smoke was really bad maybe because the emergency door was open due to the warm day and the smoke was coming in. The bannisters were so filthy as the floor areas so much so I would not touch them. Really off putting. The room was dated but clean with good bed and bedding.
Sorry I will not be returning
- I3921CHannm (6/5): Not for me - Stayed for one night. Hotel is in need of a refurb. Room was dated but it was clean with good bed and bedding. No air conditioning just a fan on a very hot night. On entering the reception area smelt of cigarette smoke seemed to be coming from the emergency door area left open due to the heat. On the stairs the floor and banisters were really dirty, not acceptable. Sorry would not return.
- NicolaJB (4/5): Too hot, no ventilation, lovely staff - The staff here were so kind and helpful. Anything I asked was met with a smile and assistance. The problem is that the room was 28 degrees overnight on nights that were 15 degrees outside. It’s not a hot week but it was so unpleasant inside. There’s no ventilation. There are opening windows but with no ventilation there’s no airflow coming in. Minimal ventilation in the bathrooms also. It was very problematic. The fan was welcome but nowhere near enough. The restaurant is small but effective. Breakfast was standard as expected. I would only stay here again in the middle of winter, at a push. Such a shame because the staff were so good!
- susanmunro47 (4/5): Unsatisfactory - The whole Premier Inn was shabby and for the price charged, I would have expected more. The whole place was tired and in some areas, dirty. Breakfast was almost inedible, even rings round a mug I picked up. I am pleased I booked in for just one night.
- AdamF1398 (4/5): Nice room, poor service - The room was upto usual standards a little tired but perfectly adequate. The welcome left a lot to be desired, left waiting at reception to check in and when he did come over it was almost like an inconvenience, when we complained about no parking spaces because it was full of work vans and a lorry taking up 6 spaces, he just shrugged his shoulders and said park over the road
- Gemstone8312 (8/5): Another great visit to Chichester PI - Stayed here many times in the past, as the location is excellent for us. We visit friends every year in Chichester, and for that purpose it’s perfect.
Staff are always friendly and helpful, breakfast is ‘cooked to order’ and always highly acceptable as well.
We stayed in a Premier Plus room, which costs slightly more. Bed very comfortable and the air con was needed as we visited during the heatwave.
My only criticism is that maybe the bathrooms could do with a refurbishment, as the bath, sink and toilet in our room looked ‘past their sell by date’.
But no real complaints and when we visit our friends again next summer, we will be back!!
P.S. wish PI would do a ‘loyalty’ programme!! We visit PI’s all around the country, and so often, we’d be due a free visit by now!!
- 64andrews (8/5): Good mid-range hotel - Very close to the station, under 10mins and about 15 - 20 min walk to the centre. The room was very clean and spacious. We paid more for a better room so we could have air-conditioning. The staff were all nice and welcoming. The breakfast was standard premier inn quality which was good.
I had not been to a premier inn for ages and would of liked more explanation of where the breakfast was laid out and how the cooked breakfast ordering worked. A minor comment though, would definitely stay there again.
- Kathleen984 (10/5): Good place to stay - Clean room and bedding tea coffee making facilities in room. Nice evening meal and breakfast. Good position of hotel near all the town and amenities grandchildren love the nearby amenities especially the ten pin bowling and leisure complex. Have stayed there before.
- Z7669YGvictoro (4/5): - In our opinion, the website is a deliberate con. We tried to booked a twin room which was ticked as done but you do not get a proper confirmation. Subsequently, when we arrived we were given a family room with one double, one single ‘child bed’. When we complained we were told that was what we requested and they had no other rooms available. So we had to reluctantly accept it. Coming down to reception later we heard another couple with exactly the same problem. I
believe this is deliberate because the hotel was subsequently full with working men so l think they were given our twin rooms with 2 single beds.
Breakfast is not brilliant the bacon l had both days must have been on the hot plate for a long time and gone thin and dry.
I never normally write reviews but as l said earlier , l am convinced the lack of proper acknowledgement of the booking is deliberate. We won’t be booking with Premier Inn again
- owen222 (10/5): The usual Premier Inn experience - good. - The usual good Premier Inn experience.
Pretty good location for going around Chichester and the surrounding area. A short walk into the centre and an even shorter walk to the railway station. A massive car park as it's on a trading estate and it's just off the main road. Couldn't be easier to find.
Your usual good Premier Inn Plus room and one of the better Premier Inn breakfasts I've had of late.
I'd stay there again.
- T9195CAdarrent (8/5): Choose room carefully - Booked this overly expensive room , due to a race meeting at Goodwood .
It’s a well situated spot , only a 5 minute walk from the station .
It’s on an a Leisure park , so be aware it’s a busy location , plenty of stuff to do , cinema , bowling , gyms , restaurants and fast food .
Rooms are the usual high standard , but be careful , mine overlooked the front car Park , plenty of late night car door banging , shouting and drunken conversations, well past midnight, being a hot night , unfortunately my window was open .
The same thing happened at 6am , a group of lads had assembled for a mini bus pick up , and neither of them seem to care about anyone trying to sleep in the hotel .
So take my advice if you book this Premier Inn and ask for a room away from the Car Park , it’s literally outside your window .
The staff were all brilliant and helpful , definitely worth a booking , but don’t forget the car park advice .
