Guest Reviews
- 186400Caroline (8/5): Great location - Great location on Princes Street with a lot of shops, restaurants and cafe nearby. A short walk from the airport tram stop. We arrived early and they looked after our bags, the reception staff asked for a charity donation at this time in a very nice way. When we left our bags at the end of our stay the girl said we needed to donate to leave our bags!
The rooms were big and bright, but draughty by the windows and the heating was poor, kept going off. There was a hole in the ceiling possibly from a water leak. A lot of dust in corners. Shower over the bath but the shower door was rigid making it difficult to get in and out.
After check in went down to order and pay for breakfast. The receptionist took forever to set it up and then when we went to breakfast they didn’t have our names on the list so had to ho back to reception.
- tinawils1971 (2/5): The worst hotel experience I've ever had. - Absolutely awful experience. After my initial booking, I received an email to say there were renovations so the bar and restaurant were closed. Although it was inconvenient, we decided to keep the booking.
When I got to the room, it was directly over where the renovation work was happening. I asked to move room to be told there was nothing available, to pack my belongings and try later to see if there was another room available. Maryam also said the noise was everywhere, even on the 4th floor. She said there was nothing she could do, and gave me the customer care number
When I called them, they were surprised that I'd been given their number, as they only dealt with complaints after check out. But they did advise me to stay in the room, until another became available.
I went to reception to update them, and explained I wanted to get everything settled before my partner arrived, as he wasn't as polite as I was. Maryam asked if I was threatening her, as she was fed up of being threatened that day! I tried to explain that it wasn't a threat, in fact, I was trying to make the situation better.
I wasted a full day trying to rectify this. That room was not fit to be used. I was up and down to reception at least 4 times, and had to call customer care, who couldn't help either.
I'll never stay there again.
Back to locally owned boutique hotels from now on, even if they're a little farther from the theatre.
Just horrible.
- walterdG8695UK (10/5): could not fault the service - first do not get this mixed up with the one in Rose street we have stayed in a lot of hotels both here in the UK and a board. This one is one of the best all round one the staff with out exception were all out standing from the hotel manager to the staff help full the rooms bright and clean if in fact you can find better good luck to the hotel manager thank you for the pillows the yorkshire people
- J6948PSgrahaml (8/5): Good stay but very slow check in - Hotel was ideal for solo traveller. Room was big enough and very good nights sleep. Bar and lobby area very good too for a budget chain. Only problem was length of queue and waiting time to check in. Far too long.
- antheah352 (8/5): Great stay and value for money - Stephania the receptionist was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, thank you. The blind in my room didn't work so I could not open the window. Other than that a great stay.
- 612lyndseys (10/5): Our second stay at this hotel - Our 2nd stay at this hotel whilst visiting family, the location is great and you’re close to everything but just out of the hustle and bustle of the city. We were well informed of the closure of the restaurant during our stay and it was fine.. no big deal! The staff were all very friendly and always spoke and asked if we were ok. The hotel was very warm and comfortable and we had everything we needed during our stay and we will certainly stay again
- Roving13193179966 (10/5): Great Hotel .. my wife & I have stayed here several times - My wife and I have stayed here in 2023, 2024 (x2 times) 2025 and shall be returning in January 2026, which just goes to prove how much we like this hotel
It is perfect for our needs, easy to get to and the staff are all brilliant.
We opt for the slightly bigger room
- chica200 (8/5): Lovely trip, great location - We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The location was excellent and very convenient. The staff were very good and extremely helpful, which made our stay even more pleasant.
The complimentary teas, coffees and pastries in the morning were a fantastic touch and such a lovely idea. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and very clean, with excellent tea and coffee making facilities. Everything throughout the hotel was spotless and very well maintained.
There were just a couple of small areas that could be slightly improved. For two people staying for two nights, we only had one towel each, so it would have been nice to have additional towels such as a bath towel, a smaller towel for hair, and a hand towel for washing hands.
The shower itself was fabulous with really lovely water pressure, however as it was over the bath, the step down when coming out felt a little awkward and might be slightly challenging for some guests, particularly older visitors.
Overall, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and we would happily return again.
- 203beejalm (4/5): Room cleanliness - We came to stay at the premier inn in Edinburgh on 20-22 Nov 2025. We booked two rooms, and when we each got to our room we found that neither of them were very clean, hairs in the bath and sink, and what looked like toothpaste on the bathroom floor. We complained about this to the front desk the morning after our first night and the man said that we can’t prove that the mess was not from us already, and that we should have said something the night before. His tone was very accusatory, and not remotely apologetic for the lack of cleanliness. We asked him to please make sure the room was cleaned during the day, and he made a note of this. We arrived back to the hotel on Friday night and found that our room had still not been cleaned. No fresh towels, breakfast crumbs on the bed, bathroom floor still stained and rubbish not cleared away. We spoke to the lady at the front desk, who was more apologetic, but there was no attempt to compensate for the poor state of our rooms
- OnAir47873818246 (10/5): A good stay - We were wanting a weekend away to Edinburgh for the Xmas markets but all the hotel prices were sky high except this which was cheaper (I think maybe due to the restaurant being closed for renovations!) however in the reception area they had a coffee machine, tea bags, water, fruit and pastries complimentary and a takeaway box to put the pastries in
We asked for a quiet room and were placed right next to the lift so thought great we ain’t sleeping tonight (we never heard a peep all night!) it was quiet as a mouse and we couldn’t hear the lift or anything going up and down either and had a lovely view from the room over to forth road bridge/seeing the planes coming in and the hills and also the bed was very comfy!
There was a food and drink vending machine downstairs too if you needed it, there is a cupboard to store your luggage in reception!
The reception area was very small but clean (don’t know if it’s bigger when the restaurant reopens as part of it was boarded up!)
We would use this premier inn again
- philipcY5645EF (10/5): Great time Christmas shopping - The arrival greeting was good with explanations for arrangements our stay. The room was really good a great size, comfortable bed, good bathroom, nice view, nice environment.
Close by was St James shopping covered centre with a great choice of shops and further down York Place was a cinema complex. With a choke of places to eat. The tram stop is close by which cost us £5 each to ride all day, making it easy to get to various parts of this great city.
- wendymK2239CF (8/5): Castle view - perfect - Room was amazing, exceeded expectations for a Premier Inn. Perfect location, clean and Amazon view. Highly recommend book a Premier inn plus - morning view of the castle just perfect
- Tour18493430379 (8/5): Great location with fantastic views! - This Premier Inn is perfectly situated. Great as a base to explore the city. The room was spacious and with an amazing view of Edinburgh Castle. The attached restaurant served a delicious breakfast daily - worth paying to have that included and it set us up for the day!
My only area of dissatisfaction would be the cleanliness of the bathroom which wasn’t great. Definitely an area to be improved on. A good dose of bleach and mould and mildew remover would have worked a treat!
Overall a wonderful stay - would recommend.
- pbs1986 (8/5): Absolutely fine and affordable for solo travelers - Absolutely fine for a solo traveler and especially considering the usual hotel room prices in Edinburgh nowadays. Cosy room which had the basic facilities. Was a pleasant surprise to see the presence of a bar, and complimentary hot drinks in the lobby area. Excellent location within 2 minutes walk of the EICC and Haymarket Station, and 10 minutes from the historic centre
- markrQ80VI (4/5): Poor wouldn’t stay again in premier plus!! - Paid £400 for premier plus, room was poor, towel rail hanging off, skirting boards in bathroom brown and poor quality, made to put a donation into great ormand street charity before they would look after our bags on last day (don’t mind giving to charity but should be my choice) staff not great, when you ask for a bottle of water which you get with premier plus your then told tap water is ok to drink! Maybe the case but you get bottled water for premier plus, next time will go to an air b&b for price or somewhere else, worst premier in we have stayed at, waiting for premier inn complaints to come back to us (still haven’t after 5 days which they said they would) Was offered to move rooms day before we left but seemed pointless!
- 166EmmaB166 (4/5): Room needs renovating; not worth the money. - I should start by saying that I've stayed in many Premier Inns. The family rooms are great for us (2 adults + 2 kids.) This hotel is in a great location for getting around (tram from the airport and you can walk everywhere.)
I knew the restaurant/bar area was closed for refurbishment (until mid December 2025) so that was annoying but not a problem.
Where I do feel that the stay was not good value for money was the state of the room (it badly needs renovating - see photos) and the service (one day, at 9.30 as we were heading out, we asked for someone to come clean the room, but they didn't come (we got back at 4pm.))
Next time I'd stay somewhere else (psst, there's a Holiday Inn just down the road.)
- F3023RJcarlas (10/5): Professional, friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble - Excellent staff and service. Very clean throughout the hub and rooms. Great customer service, nothing was too much trouble
- stevehA6336AH (10/5): excellent base to explore the city - Really good city centre hotel. The rooms we had were amazing - looked right across to the castle and were very spacious. would definitely stay here again if we come back to Edinburgh
- budgettraveller77 (10/5): So convenient - Family of 3 - Half Term School break. - Location excellent. Room brilliant. Service from staff superb. Breakfast delicious and good value, with lovely service. View of castle a real bonus.
- kitg152 (10/5): Perfect Hub - My partner and I had a wonderful stay here over Halloween weekend! The room was cleverly compact and very comfortable. We were so impressed with the staff’s friendly and warm hospitality, they were incredibly accommodating to requests and queries and helped us to store our luggage before our train. A special mention to Marley who went the extra mile and always had a bright smile throughout the duration of our stay. What a great hub!
- davel452 (10/5): Great hotel - Really nice hotel, great location. The staff were friendly and rooms are comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here.
- joannetP8561XH (8/5): Overall good stay but needs some improvement - We have stayed in this hub a few times before.
Our stay has been a overall pleasant one but a few things could be improved on.
The air con is very intermittent
The water pressue on floor 7 is a bit weak when you have a shower
Male member of staff not sure if he is new but is less than dynamic to put it politely.
The stairwells could do with a good hoover.
- KayeGee (8/5): A fantastic central location - A great place to stay in Edinburgh. Definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view of the castle. Although we were on a main road we weren't disturbed by the street/traffic noise. A comfortable bed and a good sized room. Staff are excellent and a warm welcome. A central location which means that everything is within walking distance.
- Fearless627984 (8/5): Fantastic hotel. - Fantastic, centrally located hotel. The staff were so welcoming and polite. The room was lovely and clean. It was very quiet too. Perfect space for the three of us for the three nights that we stayed. Breakfast was fantastic. I am gluten free and was very looked after. Plenty for me and minimal that I couldn’t have. One of the best breakfasts at hotels. I gave this 4 stars as the bed was very hard. I’ve got hip issues so the bed aggravated them. The hard bed would suit some people. Everything else was 5 stars! 🌟 Great hotel. Tram is very close too and lots of shops, restaurants and all the attractions are on the doorstep! Great hotel!
- sarahsX3295ZW (10/5): Edinburgh stay - Excellent service. Clean, helpful staff, near to all the attractions. Pretty central. Comfortable and cosy. I Would recommend to stay here.
- plsdeluno (8/5): Good standard Premier Inn - A typical standard Premier Inn, good bedroom, comfortable bed and pillows.
Good bathroom with plenty of hot water for the shower, nice towels.
Excellent location, ideal for Bar and Block steak restaurant as it's part of the hotel.
Only thing if you want a night cap the bar is the in the restaurant at restaurant prices not your average Premier price, example £7.50 for a pint of lager.
Would recommend.
- katerbill (8/5): Good hotel, great location, friendly staff, but a few minor issues. - Great staff, clean room. We only had two minor issues. First, we asked them to clean the room, and they did not do a good job. Also, the coffee maker did not work, and we informed the front desk. Instead of replacing it they told us to use the coffee in the restaurant. The coffee was much better (it included lattes and cappuccinos) however it would have been nice to have it in our room. This is why we are giving 4 stars. Overall, I recommend this hotel since it is easy access to the tram that goes to the airport and a quick walk to all the sites.
- Nomad598266 (8/5): Friendly Staff and Comfortable Stay - My stay at Premier Inn was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and everything went smoothly as expected. One suggestion I’d like to offer is to consider adding a hand shower in the bathroom. Currently, only a fixed shower is available, which was slightly inconvenient. Aside from that, the entire experience was superb.
Thank you, Premier Inn team!
- charlesmY4068CZ (4/5): Not a premier experience. - Stayed here for the weekend, had to almost fight to get the room cleaned/replenished bed made etc, as they were short staffed, not sure how that was my fault, the "double bed" was 2 single beds pushed together that came apart during the night, pretty annoying,
- WileyCoyote2 (10/5): Comfortable Premier Inn in great locstion - Excellent location ,walkable ,or close to trsm / bus routes
Comfortable bed + room
Good food choices for both dinner and breakfast
- elenasS588LB (4/5): Dirty towels and bed sheets, poor communication among staff - When we arrived on October 12th, we found towels and sheets dirty with something red, but the reception staff quickly replaced them and were kind and helpful.
The real issue came later: on October 16th, the man at reception said a donation to the hospital was MANDATORY to leave our luggage, WHILE four days earlier the girls hadn’t asked for ANYTHING.
The donation itself isn’t the problem ofc, what’s unacceptable is the lack of clear rules and communication within the team, which leaves guests confused and disappointed.
- Cloven58 (10/5): Great experience. - Location was great. Comfy bed, thick duvet. Very clean. Friendly staff and very helpful. Great breakfast. Would recommend and definitely visit again.
- Helen (8/5): - Breakfast was very limited
- annef876 (10/5): Excellent choice! - The hub is just a short walk from the train station so I got there quickly and without the need for further transport. Check in was simple and handled by a lovely, friendly man. The lobby had a friendly vibe and comfortable seating. Beverages were in constant, self-serve supply and could be drunk in the lobby or taken to the room. Information about breakfast and drinks was straightforward. Breakfast itself was good, essentially continental but with lots of choice. The whole place was spotlessly clean - I’d anticipated a small room space but it was more than adequate. I had an accessible room as that was all that was available when I booked, the bathroom room - a wet room - was enormous! Hand wash and shower cream were provided, the towels were lovely and thick. The sleeping area had a gigantic and very comfortable bed; there was a small, pull down desk with sockets and charging points and there were more sockets by the bed. There was a stylish chair which could be used at the desk or as an “easy” chair. The wall-mounted TV was facing the bed. The only thing that I was a little flustered by was the control panel for lighting, heat, etc., but that’s just me!
I wish my stay had been for more than one night!
- jxx9595 (6/5): Sort of okay but internet was below average for a hotel - There are things to like and not like at the Premier Inn. We had a large room with a view of the Castle, a premium room with a sofa and chair. Not that much more expensive than a “regular” room. A queen bed was okay.
Much of the space in the room was wasted. The desk, just barely adequate in size, could easily have been bigger. There was one bench that served as a luggage rack, but there was no place else for a second suitcase. It ended up sitting slightly precariously on the end of the desk. All the space in the middle of the room was wasted.
There were plenty of plugs on the desks and nightstands. Lots of hotels fail this plug test. But there were only two USB ports in the room (one on each side of the bed), and both were USB-A ports. No USB-C ports anywhere. No USB ports at all on the desk.
The bathroom was big, but there was only one sink. There were not enough towel racks, and the room came without adequate towels for two people. More towels were readily available by asking, however. There was not enough room on the extended sink for two toiletry kits, although there was a hanger on the door that held another one. Curiously, there were no other hooks in the bathroom.
There was a night light in the bathroom, but it was too bright. There were NO electrical outlets in the bathroom at all. Never saw a hotel room before without a bathroom outlet.
There were no facial tissues anywhere, another hotel rarity.
Weirdly, there were two modestly heavy heaters in a closet. You had to take a heater out, plug it in somewhere, and then adjust it somehow to your taste. Want heat in the bathroom? Sorry. No electrical outlets in the bathroom! Even weirder, a heater turned out to be useful when shoes got soaked on a rainy day. Go figure!
Shower was okay (no tub), but it was mildly slippery, and there are no grab bars.
There was “free” wi-fi and premium wi-fi. The free version worked okay (but very slowly at times) with occasional outages and the need to reconnect. I got codes for the premium wi-fi, but I could not enter them because the wi-fi never prompted me for the codes so I couldn’t connect that way. Overall, the Internet here was below average.
There were two extra pillows in the room, so you didn’t have to ask for more. That was good.
Street noise was mildly noticeable, but I guess that’s the price you pay for a view. There was also some internal noise from showers in other rooms.
There were several coat hooks by the door. That was a nice touch.
There were two pieces of chocolate in the room, but both were milk chocolate rather than dark. Now I’m just getting petty.
Overall, the room was decent, but nothing wonderful. The lack of first-class Internet was the most troubling issue for me.
Would I stay in another Premier Inn? Maybe, but it would not be my first (or second) choice.
- Aaron (8/5): - It was pre
- Quest18435202729 (10/5): Highly Recommend - Excellent central location just behind the St James centre. Room was lovely, spotlessly clean, food was good & friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
- 506mallikag (10/5): Hub by Premier Inn Haymarket - Great location, well connected by public transport. Very clean rooms. Small, as expected from a Hub; but had tons of storage, which was very useful. The water pressure in the shower is pretty low, which can get a bit annoying but not a show stopper by any means. Great facilities and good value for money.
- lauratI8656WR (10/5): Premier inn York Place Edinburgh - Great value for money, excellent location, very quiet and comfortable beds for our 2 night stay. Tram line outside hotel, 10 min walk into the old town and 5 min walk from the train station.
- Suzylou76 (10/5): A good experience! - You always know what you're getting with Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable, and lovely staff. The location of this hotel was really handy for our short trip to Edinburgh.
- Brian (10/5): - Great location for site seeing and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The luggage drop off was handy.
- hsaddington (8/5): Great location! - The room looked quite tired and dated - perhaps time for a refurb. Some of the surfaces were peeling off the vanity unity and side tables, the bath panel was swollen from water damage and the air con panel was cracked and made awful crackling noises when the fans were on.
However, the staff are very friendly, cheerful and helpful.
Better choice of food for different dietary requirements.
Location! A short walk from the train station and sightseeing buses. Tram and other bus stops almost outside the door. It’s also really not far to walk to the shops, cafes/restaurants and the landmarks of Edinburgh.
- juniusCornwall (10/5): Good Edinburgh base - Friendly & helpful staff at check-in and at breakfast. Room 'compact' (or 'smaller' as Hub hotels say in their advertising) but quite adequate for a short city stay where we wanted to spend most of the time not in the room. Bed firm but comfy. Shower excellent. Continental breakfast [@ £6 - we had to book the night before] was ample for an early start. Location ideal - 5 mins walk to Haymarket for station & trams - and a bus-stop (No.2 to Old Town) across the road from the hotel. Would stay again.
- dfdf2001 (10/5): Good value, modern hotel. - They must have told their designers, provide every amenity a modern hotel room should have, in half the space of even a European hotel room. They delivered. I imagine the room might feel cramped for a couple, with the bed accessible from just one side, but as I was along this past week, not a problem. You can slide out the thin surface at the foot of the bed to make a desk, but it was easier for me to take my laptop down to the common area, where there is free coffee, outlets and tables. Great location, 5 mins walk to Haymarket station and bus stops, and a pleasant walk to Princes St and Old Town. The continental breakfast is excellent and just $8 with limitless coffee, not a given in a Scottish cafe. Minor complaint: the two members of staff I asked were unable to tell me where to catch an airport bus and similarly without answer when it came to a wake-up call. Just not offered; the wake-up button on the smart TV is disabled, and no alarm clock in the room. If you are deaf like me, you cannot trust your phone alarm. They should provide an alarm clock on request to guests. But really, this is a great choice for Edinburgh, good rate, good location, modern facilities.
- jennysX1805RO (6/5): GOOD LOCATION - WIFI NOT THE BEST - We travelled here by taxi from the airport so did not have the issue of car parking as it is not available at the hotel itself. This Premier Inn is in a great location near the opposite end of Princes Street to Waverley Station. There are many bus stops - and many buses - which stop outside of the hotel to take you down to Waverley if you do not wish to walk even though it is not that far. Elderly people might notice the distance though.
Breakfast - as always at a Premier Inn - was fabulous and there was plenty of it.
We booked a Plus room on this occasion which was quite roomy, certainly big enough for two people. This "upgrade" included a better version of WiFi. It was a bit hit and miss though - when it was good, it was great, however it dropped out a number of times which was quite frustrating. The need to log in each day with a different password also was frustrating.
The bed was very comfortable with pillows to match. We were disappointed at the lack of towels - we were not given bathmat or hand towels when we first arrived and these were only provided after we had requested our room to be cleaned a couple of days after we had arrived. The "cleaning" process apparently did not include vacuuming the floor either as it was not done.
Would I recommend - probably but only because of its location
- 417aleksp (10/5): Great value in a convenient location. - Conveniently located walking distance from the train station, and just a few blocks from a bus station. Clean room, comfortable bed, enough space to unpack, and store our belongings. Continental breakfast was a good value, and high quality. Friendly and helpful staff.
- Adika (8/5): Great location, cleanliness could’ve been better. - Location was great - 12 min walk from Waverley train station, directly on a large shopping street with all the buses and trams, a 15 min walk to the Royal Mile. Lots of cafes and fast food options right next to the hotel. Check in and check out very easy and quick, staff was very welcoming. Room was spacious. I question the use of carpeting for flooring as it’s fairly rainy in Edinburgh so it obviously gets damp and musty when you come in the room with your wet shoes and coats. It would also have been nice to have somewhere to put your suitcase rather than on the floor.
- Barbara (10/5): - The staff at the front desk need some customer service skills and seem to hate thier job. This firm 3 pm check in makes everyone wait in the lobby until the exact minute to book in. Crazy way to do things.
- JDR4457 (8/5): Great location, reasonable value. - Great location on Princes Street reasonably close to both Edinburgh railway stations and many attractions such as the National Gallery. Paid a couple of pounds extra for a spectacular view of tge Castle which was well worth it. Room was perfectly good and a reasonable rate (for central Edinburgh). Breakfast was OK but could have been better.
- Pia (8/5): - Morgenmaden var ikke særlig god!!!!
- DisappointedMrH (2/5): A poor experience - We paid a premium £174 for one night ( due to our circumstances we couldn’t book more than 2 weeks in advance). We were allocated Room 1 - floor-1. On opening the door the stale, musty smell which hit us was awful. We returned to check in and were offered a room on the first floor. The positive was the room was in a quiet location with no road noise. We had to ask for the bathroom to be cleaned properly- especially the sink and toilet. There is mould on the bath edging. In the bedroom the laminate surface on the unit is falling off and the bedside table looks as if it is about to fall off the wall.
On a more positive note, the staff were friendly and did their best to address our issues. As a tip for future travellers- try elsewhere first and definitely avoid floor -1 Rooms 1 to 15.
- Darla (6/5): - The bathroom was dirty, and the light switches had sticky fingerprints on them. I cleaned it myself.
- Quiteblank (10/5): Great Location; Friendly Staff - You really can't beat the location. It's right next to the tram, the bus station, dozens of places to eat, and isn't a far walk from the Royal Mile. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and check in is 24 hours. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but if you don't expect much it's perfectly suitable. The shower doubles as a bath which is both good and bad since the step over is a tad high. They also include a hair dryer, an iron and table, a place to hang some clothes, and the general body wash/lotions/etc you'd expect.
- Cruiser56882025340 (8/5): I recommend this place - Perfect location, close to shops, mall, transportation means. Clean room and bathroom, with a lot of amenities, just missing a mini fridge. Kind and welcoming staff, comfortable beds. Prices are high anywhere you go so at this place it's just right. Quiet area. Didn't eat at the hotel, because we never had time.
- saidisjs (10/5): Perfect for a quiet holiday. - Perfect location - all within walking distance. The place is quiet at night so you would have a good rest. The hotel have friendly staff. The place is clean and comfortable. Free coffee and tea, they have a little coffee maker and a mini fridge. I assume they have central heating so you wouldn't feel cold, but
there is air circulation and of course air conditioning.
- Thomas (8/5): - Zentrale Lage
- doktorkaludka (10/5): Great Experience, Would Stay Again - I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and spacious, featuring extremely comfortable mattresses. Both check-in and check-out were efficient and straightforward.
- TrainerUK (4/5): Lazy and poor attitude - So, many years staying in Premier Inn and hubs in recent years. So disappointed with the Haymarket Hub, particularly housekeeping. As you have to now, we requested a room refresh, which they get away with post COVID, when we arrived back the room hadn’t been touched and the refresh consisted of a bag with towels and toilet roll left outside your room. Lazy, Lazy, Lazy.
- heatherrn2016 (6/5): Beds are terrible but clean updated hotel with friendly staff. - The rooms are updated and facility is nice and clean the main issue is the beds. The beds are so hard it actually hurt me every morning and my husband who like a very firm bed. Do something about the mattresses. Everything else was wonderful.
- 199danjac (8/5): Good option for a relatively short term stay in Edinburgh. - Great location, easy check in/out process. Room was good, only (very minor) complaints: the lighting system was a bit complicated to figure out, and we weren’t a fan of the clear bathroom doors. Room was very clean. Breakfast was pretty good, we thought it was a tad bit expensive for what it was, but overall super convenient and there was always free coffee and tea. The best part was that we could leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out for the day while we went out exploring. Overall, good option for a stay in Edinburgh.
- ILSON (10/5): Simpática - Bem localizado
Conforto
Limpeza
Bom café da manhã
- nickbS3555KA (2/5): Castle view = no sleep. - Hotel is nice.
Premier Plus rooms are as expected.
If you want a room at the front with views of the castle, don’t expect a good night’s sleep. Constant traffic and footfall noise throughout the night, the windows may as well be made from clingfilm, no soundproofing whatsoever.
- woodsfam (10/5): Comfortable stay - No complaints, just myself with daughter in 20’s in a twin room. Check in was friendly and quick. Room a twin set up (one double one twin- daughter walked in the door and said oh I see which bed I get) on third floor. Spacious and clean. Great location. Didn’t include breakfast as we aren’t big breakfast eaters and would just grab a croissant nearby. Beds very comfortable and room was quiet.
- Glossybird (10/5): Amazing staff and fabulous hotel 🥰 - This hotel was perfect for us, we enjoyed being slightly out of the city and certainly saved on cost because of it. If you don’t enjoy walking the bus service in Edinburgh is excellent, there is a bus stop right outside this hotel.
We stayed here for five nights, my husband and I in one room, I booked a bigger room for us and pleased that I did. My sister had one of the standard rooms and she was perfectly happy too. We both had great views from our seventh floor rooms. I did hear someone complaining about the size of the room, I don’t understand this, if you took the time to read the information on the website it is explained that these Hub inns have smaller rooms. Our experience from arrival to leaving was absolutely perfect. We had the continental breakfast on a couple of occasions, lots of choice and perfectly adequate to start your day. They were a little short staffed on one day, but the person running that shift was on top of everything and could not do enough for you, even taking the time to have a little bit of banter and a giggle with us, “SHEILA” you know who you are 😉 😉
We would not hesitate to book here the next time we visit Edinburgh.
Just wonderful 👏👏👏👏👏
- R6850CJjanetn (10/5): Perfect stay with Premier Inn 👏 - We’ve stayed in several Premier Inns this year – Berwick, York and Edinburgh – and every single one has been fantastic. The hotels are always spotless, clean and tidy, with everything just as you’d hope. The staff have been amazing everywhere we’ve stayed – so welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Breakfast is simply outstanding. I always seem to eat more while on holiday and the choice at Premier Inn really is second to none. I usually start with cereal, then enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast, and still find room to finish with toast and jam. Les particularly loved the yoghurt and fruit to begin with, followed by his breakfast and rounding things off with a croissant. The quality and variety make it such a great way to start the day.
The only small downside was at the Edinburgh hotel, where people tended to stand smoking right outside the entrance. It didn’t look very appealing first thing in the morning, so perhaps this could be improved.
Apart from that, everything has been amazing. Premier Inn really does take the stress out of travel and makes our holidays even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again next year for more breaks!
- Jorge Alfonso (8/5): - Lo único que falta es un clóset o gavetas para la ropa , sobre todo si vas por varios días ! Por lo demás todo excelente
- Liz (10/5): - .
- Shidfar (4/5): - The room we had was so hot with now windows. I brought it up to the front desk and It was still hot even after mentioning it to the staff. Overall, the hotel was not what I expected to be. the only good thing about it was the walkability to the train station and city center. I reserved three nights but because of the uncomfortable room temperature we have to leave after 2 nights. I was not refunded for the night I didn't stay.
- ScotlandKMcP (2/5): Terrible bedroom at Premier Inn Hub - Terrible room. Payed a good amount for the room for myself and wife, only to find the room was so small, the bed was only accessible from one side. Not sure it should have been sold as double occupancy, or if it was, there should have been a sub note to the booking.
- OldDrWhoFan (4/5): Tiny bed surrounded by 3 walls - The bed was tiny (more a single than double) and had walls on 3 sides so was very hard to get out of in the night if you were on the wall side. There was a narrow ledge in the wall, not really wide rough to put a glass of water on without fear of it being knocked off. There was a ticking noise that went on all night.
The photograph of the room didn’t really show how small the bed was.
The room was cramped for two people, but clean and there was a useful storage space under the the bed, the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Viktoriya (8/5): - The location is perfect! The hotel is in the center of all the attractions, and even walkable from the train. However, cleanliness needs to improve. We received dirty towels several times. The room should have been dusted, too.
- peterwM7259DZ (10/5): Perfect location, comfortable room - Very friendly staff, bed was comfortable, we got room no 410 with nice view it was very quiet and the temperature inside was pleasant, there was option to leave our luggage during the day.
- Dolan (4/5): - Did not appreciate the checking in experience. Early check in $15.00 was agreed but not a word stating it would apply for all 3 nights. Scam worthy indeed and shameful.
- Carla (8/5): - Premier Inn Princes Street was very nice. Very convenient location! Edinburgh was a bit crazy, but we survived!
- Marie-Claude (8/5): - Hôtel au cœur d’Edimbourg, très bien desservi par les transports en commun.
- Roland (10/5): - Edinburgh castle view accessible to every landmark..
- SANDY (10/5): - Very nice
Buenas instalaciones y buen desayuno
- Paul (10/5): - The staff at Primier Inn and there partner restaurant
- Olga (10/5): - Location
- Deep (2/5): dont book with this hotel - really smelly rooms with carpets, poor service
- Manuel (6/5): - Unfreundliches Personal beim Check In.
Desweiteren, die Zimmer haben keine Fenster zum öffnen.
Frühstück ok
- Maria (6/5): - Hotel is perfectly located on Princes Street with plenty to see and do within walking distance. The front staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast which I purchased a couple of mornings was great value with 2 kids. The room itself was disappointing- while the bed was very comfortable, the room was very basic and grubby.
- William (10/5): - Fantastic location and accessible to many tourist spots. Some rooms have view of castle, ours did not have this time.
