Booking was easy online and a decent price. We were welcomed and signed in efficiently and in a friendly manner. When we got to our room we found that a care packaged of drinks and chocolates were left for us and it made us feel very special. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked, really nice sausages and lots of choice. Excellent coffee machine too. 5/5

• loanstar59 (2/5): Back in the dark ages. - One of the worst hotel ever stayed in . Room showing signs of decay. None of the usb points work. Complained at desk only to be told there was a Tesco over the road you could buy an adapter . The customer service button was hidden under a sign at reception. In a world that charging a phone is essentially you think it would be impossible not have working USB points.
• Wilton2 (8/5): Very Comfortable Stay - Located right on the front to close to the RSS Discovery and the V&A. If travelling by train the station is a short walk. There is a good sized car park - cost is £8 per 24 hours. But get a voucher from reception prior to paying in order to get this discounted price. We paid extra for a room with a waterfront and bridges view . Worth it for the small extra cost plus it faces away from the road. Room - of a good size with good sound insulation. Bed as always was very comfortable. Shower was also good with lots of hot water and good pressure. Wi-Fi - disappointing as could not get it to connect. Forgot to advise reception but was only there for 1 night. Breakfast - served in the Beefeater restaurant which is part of the hotel complex. No problem being seated. Staff were very good and importantly the food at the buffet was regularly replenished and was always fresh and hot. A really good breakfast for the price and would recommend. Dinner - we ate at a Turkish restaurant called Milas which was excellent.
• mojim432 (10/5): Lovely stay - This is a very good hotel. Infact the bed is so comfortable and soft to the extend that I over slept and missed breakfast which they promised to refund me back. The customer service is top notch. I had an emergency issue and Sean the Hotel Manager and Blair the receptionist came so fast and quick to my rescue, the fastest help have even see in my life. This people are the best, Also Yolanda is very polite good listener and help with my enquiry very helpful with a big smile that will melt your heart. Above all this is a good place to stay. Surely will be back. The beefeater is just another addition to the hotel and the sea view is amazing. Thank you all for having me. My first time in Dundee and you made it remarkable. Big car park, quiet hotel, clean, the accessible room is huge.

Last nights receptionist needs re training re: booking in disabled people. Rude and unfeeling. When I pointed out that her manner was really not right, she spent five minutes at the front desk arguing as to why she was right.
• susiemB1379JW (6/5): It was somewhere to sleep - As usual we chose premier Inn . The previous times were at Markyate but this time the Horse and Jockey Luton South. Fire doors were propped open. Our bedroom was what we expected but the bathroom was very stained. The plughole surround was brown as if a gallon of tea had been poured down and not rinsed. The WC was badly stained brown at the bottom. It needed bleach or an eco equivalent. I was born in Luton and know very well the hard water problems. This was more than that. If we had not been so tired I would have asked for another room. Could definitely hear the planes more than at Markyate . We didn’t go back to Markyate because we feel it had gone from bad to worse the last visit.

• truth60to70club (8/5): Good hotel. But about to be renovated I believe. - Room good. Breakfast good choice. Only niggle is you have to ask on the day to get your room cleaned. We did this, but on the day we got clean towels , no clean cups bed not made, and no tea bags, milk or coffee. This was the Saturday.
• STAMBRIDGE123 (10/5): An ideal location for travelling by train and central for the centre of the city and museums. - We travelled to Dundee by train so the location of the hotel, a couple of minutes walk away, was ideal. It was also an ideal location for all of the museums, all in walking distance, that we visited during our week long stay. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our sleep during our stay was excellent.

They have a really nice vibe and everything is run really smoothly. • johnhouston2 (8/5): This is a decent hotel in an ideal location. - The Premier Inn in Dundee is ideally situated on the waterfront next to Discovery Point and the V&A. It is a short stroll from the railway station and, if you come by car, there is plenty of parking. It is also convenient for the city centre. Check in was very friendly and our sea view room on the second floor was as smart and comfortable as one would expect of this chain. As for the views - as you are literally only a few yards from the water’s edge, you get a panoramic view of the Tay with the low hills of Fife on the other side, and the road bridge to the left. Over the years I’ve almost given up on the Premier Inn buffet breakfasts, but the ones we had here were pretty good as they were regularly replenished and decently warm. Also, as the hotel didn’t seem overly busy during our visit, there was plenty of room and a nice relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant. Service throughout was friendly and efficient and this will certainly be our hotel of choice when visiting Dundee.

Breakfast is good and they treat allergies very seriously. Special thanks to Angela and Heather for looking after us. It was great to see you again and hopefully we will be back in 2026 😊

• rotary9921 (2/5): Sleepless nights - The reception staff were lovely when we arrived but it went downhill from there. The room was nice and clean but couldn't charge our phones as the usb socket had been removed from the sockets. Had to contacted reception who luckily gave us a plug. First night guests from the room upstairs were thumping about till nearly 2.30am tried to contact reception but no-one there. 2nd night it went on till after midnight but after thumping on the ceiling it calmed down. Reported it to reception who said it was a wedding party that was booked in.. Please don't take a room on the bottom floor if you want a good nights sleep..

• chriscL2367PA (10/5): Great experience at Premier Inn Dundee Centre - We got a great deal from Premier inn and chose to stay at Dundee centre. Location couldn't be better. Just a 2 min walk to V&A and Discovery and a 10 min walk to city centre. The hotel is exactly what we expect from Premier Inn ie comfy bed, clean bathroom etc. Our room wasn't facing river Tay but the road and rail noise was non existent. The black out curtains were fab. Our bathroom was fresh and clean. Parking was fine at £8 for 24 hours which is great for city center parking. We ate in the local Beefeater restaurant-wasn't expecting much but our burgers were tasty. Breakfast was delicious! Everything fresh and tasty. Good value- highly recommended. A great stay and will definitely be back as good quality and good price
• saabsue (10/5): A Great Autumn Break - The place is ready for an overhaul, a bit scruffy in the corridors but as clean as I would expect in the accmmodation The staff, particularly Heather & Paige, were very pleasant The meal deal lived up to expectations but dinner would become boring after 4 nights The cooked breakfast varied from day to day depending on how busy the place was My husband really enjoyed the black pudding We would visit again if in the area but, as a double leg amputee, I would have to have the one & only full wet room there Our accessible lowered bath was useless for me The Dumfries ares is beautiful & we were very lucky to have three days of sunshine
• Wanderer815793 (2/5): Poor Service - Whilst the bed was the usual comfort of a Premier Inn bed we were pretty let down by the cleanliness and service. Our room hadn’t been fully cleaned - whilst the bed was made the bins were overflowing, there were dirty coffee mugs, tea/coffee wasn't restocked and there were no towels. Reception did provide towels when asked and said someone would be up to empty the bins etc. but this didn’t happen

Moved to a new room and the soft pillows in the pack were unsealed, no cases on and filthy. Overall the hotel wasn't bad, but cleanliness definitely needs looking at.

Very little time feels put into cleaning very sub standard, carpets dirty, finger prints on mirror, black mould around baths and crumbs/hair still on carpet not what you expect for over £100 a night.
• louisebufton (6/5): A place to stay for a night - This priemer inn is located beautifully, car park on site.. that you get a discounted rate g staying at the hotel but I have been at other hotels in city centres and you get the car park for free or cheaper than here! Check in wasn’t the best, the lady came out at 2.57 and said I can’t check you in yet, 3mins to go before check in time and once 3pm said the rooms still weren’t ready but just moved us to other rooms that were ready. The floor of the twin bedroom could have done with an extra hoover and the bathroom had black mould round the bath rim, other than that clean. The single beds are not comfortable, one of the worst sleeps I’ve had. The breakfast was really good, good value for money and good continental selection, all of the juice was getting topped up fast. The dinner was nice but the service was slow, they were busy though.

We were back on the Friday (25/10/25) and the staff were equally attentive and friendly....excellent...
• annebV809RF (6/5): Small tweaks required. - Location good. Atmosphere none. Rooms - 1st room issue with lights and toilet. 2nd room no issues. Value good. Younger restaurant staff need customer service training. Not helpful and didn't know the menu and didn't appear to care. Food in the evening very dry either over cooked or left under the heat lamp too long. Breakfast not the best quality. Reception not the warmest welcome but helpful when requested. Generally a good hotel with some improvements needed.

• 423philp (2/5): 2 minutes - I stayed there 21/10:25. Room 17. Our company uses Premier quite a lot. I went to order an evening meal, only to be told by the guy behind the bar that the food order deadline is 8:45pm. I immediately checked my phone and it was exactly 8:47pm; I showed him and asked where it says 8:45 is the latest order time because there were no signs anywhere - not even the menu? - he just gave me a blank look, shrugged his shoulders and said “Nah mate, it’s closed”. I’d been driving most of the day and didn’t get any lunch so I was starving. I went to breakfast the next morning and discussed it with one of the staff (Angela) she brilliant - such a nice lady. She was genuinely shocked that they would treat a guest like this over 2 minutes! I’ll be advising our company’s booking agents to start using someone else to put our people in.

Breakfast in the morning was lovely and the staff at breakfast , Ana and Angela were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we needed even though we came in late minute for Breakfast and even come an sang Happy Birthday after my saying to my partner about his birthday lol an brought a box of chocolates an card over which was a lovely touch 🥰

• Aruba16 (6/5): Room OK but pub needs an update - The premier inn chain is generally very good. This one had the good clean comfy bed and overall it ticked the boxes. The pub next door for dinner or breakfast was a bit of a let down as it really needs a total refurb and it just lacked that nice comfy vibe, very mish mash. It was alright for a Luton fly package.
• 684joannal (6/5): Great hotel but experience spoiled by bad sleep. - Great location, pleasant hotel. The Receptionist was very helpful, changing our room to one with a walk-in shower, but it would be better if you could choose this option on booking. Room was clean, excellent shower, comfortable bed. Unfortunately we didn't have a good sleep because the air conditioning didn't work properly. The lowest temp we could set it to was 19c, but it went up to 21c on its own overnight. We didn't sleep well at all, and we had headaches in the morning. Such a shame, because otherwise we would have given it 10/10. We much prefer to have a window which opens. Breakfast was chaotic, simply because the layout is very badly designed - people using the tea/coffee station get in the way of people queuing for hot food, and it is a potentially dangerous situation with risk of scalding.

Waterside with bridge/ bridges views.Clean rooms and bathrooms. Shout out to Amy at the beefeater. She works her socks off and is cheery and helpful. Overall the staff at the hotel and the beefeater are fantastic and a credit to their employers.
• S9652LAjaneb (10/5): Great staff at Top Table - The hotel itself is an average Premier Inn. What makes a stay here is the Top Table staff. We arrived early afternoon, starving hungry, and Jenai met us with a huge smile and led us to a table. One of our party is ceoliac and Jenai provided a file of allergen information, a steer on using the QR code for further details and was generally super helpful. At breakfast this excellent service continued. Tina, working singlehandedly, was like Mary Poppins. She was everywhere, providing everything quickly and with such a lovely, friendly demeanor. Again, Tina fully understood the challenges of being ceoliac and was so helpful. So, an average hotel but super professional staff.
• lynnb137 (10/5): Predictably clean and comfortable - From now on, if there is a Premier Inn, I'm staying there. The bed is comfortable and doesn't feel like it's been slept in by a million people. The room is spotlessly clean. Tina did our breakfast and could not do enough for us! Jenai looked after me in the restaurant in the afternoon and was very helpful,polite and professional. My colleague is a celiac and Jenai ensured she was taken care of properly.

Check in was straightforward, with friendly staff. Bright, spacious room and although I hadn’t paid the additional fee, I also had a room with view over the River Tay. Dinner and breakfast were of good quality and service was very good. Will definitely be staying at this one again.

• C8819LBchloel (2/5): Disappointing Stay – Room Flooded and Belongings Damaged - We checked in and at first the room seemed fine. However, when we returned around midnight, we found our hotel room completely flooded. Water was leaking from the light fitting and the fire alarm, soaking the bed, duvet, carpet, and even our personal belongings. Several of my items were damaged, including £117 shoes, an Apple Watch that no longer turns on, my handbag, backpack, suitcase, and even birthday present were damaged We reported this immediately, but it took over an hour before we were moved to another room. The replacement room was smaller, had no air conditioning, and felt like a downgrade after everything that happened. This was absolutely unacceptable for a hotel stay.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made in both maintenance and how serious incidents like this are handled.
