Guest Reviews
- Dominique (10/5): - Nous avons passé bon séjour, propre, confortable, a proximité du centre ville, personnels compréhensifs et bienveillants !! Petit déjeuner copieux !
Je recommande !
- Maria (6/5): - There was no toilet brush. Which is very weird.. And the usb in the walls didnt work properly.
- Michael (10/5): - God beliggenhed tæt på centrum. Lidt larm fra nærliggende pubber m.v., men ikke noget der generede. Meget flink og serviceminded personale.
- Discover593780 (10/5): Lovely weekend away - We stayed for the weekend, couldn't fault anything. The staff especially Dan, Tier Susan Jordan the manager they were lovely and helpfull, couldn't do enough for us.
Room was lovely and clean. Food was great. Definitely come again
- ianrS2395RM (10/5): Clean and today and lost of milk - Very clean and welcoming.. Enough condiments and essentials. Keep up the good work. The extra pillows were a dream and very comfortable
- Secretsleep (10/5): Excellent - It is the best premier inn I have ever stayed in. The lady with fair hair and the gentleman who were in reception on Saturday and Sunday evening (22-23/11) were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The location could not have been better. I was very impressed and very happy with everything.
- christopherps2022 (4/5): Poor - Very poor pillows that were very hard, and they stopped me from sleeping. The food service was poor, and the food was overcooked.
- Jimbobs1969 (10/5): Great Staff - Great hotel and staff , huge shout out to Tia who is an absolute star and credit to Premier Inn . Could not do enough for us during our stay
- B9477ACjoed (10/5): Altering My Booking - Raji was fantastic. I needed to alter my booking for a business trip and she was so polite and helpful and I was able to get full refund on the booking that I no longer needed. What a star!
- blondesmiles94 (10/5): Handy central location and lovely staff - Ideal location so close to Birmingham New Street Station and the Priory Rooms where my meeting was being held. I had a gorgeous view over the Christmas Market which helped me feel right at home. The hotel room was clean, the bed comfortable, a bath plus powerful shower and there was even a small Christmassy pin badge left to 'get you in the spirit' - a very nice touch.
When I arrived, sadly one of the staff members, (I think called Pauline), was handling a very difficult customer who was kicking up a fuss about the check-in machines being broken and a small (but fixable) admin error that had occurred. Pauline remained professional, reminding the customer that no one comes to work to be shouted at and also proceeded to check me in efficiently and kindly. I wish Pauline well and hope her hard work and professionalism is recognised - and that she is aware of the multiple other customers who are grateful for her.
To all other customers, who may stay at this Premier Inn or not, I urge everyone to be kind and maintain perspective. There are a lot of things wrong with this world, but a minor check-in delay is not even in my top 100.
- scarfmaker1301 (10/5): Premier Inn Blackpool Airport - Brilliant nights stay fabulous food in wacky next door. Amazing cooked breakfast. Staff very helpful comfy beds & lovely & clean. We will certainly book there again.
- dinoswindo (6/5): It was ok - Staff were very good, room was as you would expect but at £123 on the pricy side.
My main issue was when I arrived at 17.45 after a long drive I asked if I needed to book to eat. I was told earliest I could eat was 8.30 as they were busy. I asked if there was anything nearby and was told there is nothing really in walking distance so I had to get an uber.
At breakfast next day I could see what I think the issue was....for a hotel this size an amazingly small kitchen which I think would struggle with a large amount of customers.
- Cruiser732186 (6/5): Not great - Noisy room, didn't sleep well due to lorries reversing beepers, bottle bins being emptied very early, not good... breakfast: mushrooms cold, black pudding cremated and poor quality sausages.....
- leetW5558NS (10/5): 1st class service. - I spend most of my working week working away from home staying at premiere inn hotels all over the country, and can honestly say I have never been felt more welcome than with the staff at Birmingham Central Aston .
Tia,Amira and Fern were absolutely first class in making sure all aspects of my stay were adhered to and are a credit to premiere inn. I would definately recommending the premiere inn Aston hotel to other companies if working in and around the Birmingham area.
- Daydream33981101549 (10/5): The Best experiences - Atmosphere was very good and welcoming.
The staff was amazing and very helpful and nice and friendly to us. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they made our stay very comfortable.
- X3123WMjamesb (10/5): Convenient location, friendly staff - Hotel is in a handy location on the edge of the city and Tia was very helpful on reception on arrival and answering any questions we had.
- Ann200 (6/5): Family stay one night it was ok - Stay here for 1 night, booked two rooms and arrived early and asked for rooms next to each other which they said they would accommodate. Hotel is about 20 minute walk into town. Hotel has parking which was charged at £8.50 a night. We came back later in the day to check in and were given rooms on different floors even though we had arranged in the morning. This was sorted and we ended up on the same floor but not next to each other.
Staff were ok . No one went above and beyond. Ordered food and it was a 45 min wait for a pizza the restaurant wasn’t that busy.
Rooms were warm but had to use air con so no issue.
Overall hotel is ok a little too far for me outside of the city. But fine for an overnight stay .
- Wes (10/5): - Room was clean. Price reasonable. Staff was courteous.
- 565timg (6/5): Storing bag for medical purposes in freezer - Very good overall
Only gripe is I have medication which has to be stored in fridge which was provided
However I need to freeze pouch to put in cooler bag to take medication home
Luckily I had a friend who lived locally to store it in freezer
I have stayed at many hotels and they all have freezers available to store the pouch and I was dismayed to hear that this hotel had hasn’t even heard of this and refused to store it in freezer as it may contaminate food
I thought a clean plastic bag would resolve this but they would not budge
- mattwin13 (10/5): Perfect city centre stay - Stayed here after a night out in Birmingham.
Perfect location with loads of nearby bars. I had an internal room and didn't hear any noise at all during the night.
5 minutes walk to New Street Station and 5 minutes walk to the nearest carpark (I got the train, my friend drove)
Easy quick check in. Friendly staff. I was given a free bottle of water in the morning from reception as the vending machine in the lobby only accepted card payments and I only had cash.
Everything a Premier Inn should be.
- Sherpa16197427446 (10/5): Friendly staff - The staff at this hotel have been amazing so friendly and helpful and fun, thank you so much for making our stay enjoyable
- Y1709UMstephanies (10/5): BEST STAFF - SERVICE SUPPORT 5***** plus. - Staff are the best, friendly and helpful, sharing vouchers for free drinks and discounts for bar next door. We lost our home keys and Rajj helped get them sent to our home. The team are absolute stars. We always stay in a prem. Inn, so we will be back. Excellent location of Waterloo one, too.
- W1861ZWhannahl (10/5): Excellent Customer Service - After a very disappointing concert cancellation, we received fantastic customer service when we returned to the premier inn. Tia, Fern and Jordan were very sympathetic, welcoming, kind and compassionate about our situation. Would highly recommend and will stay again if we return to Birmingham in the future.
- JoBri67 (8/5): Does what it says … - Stayed here for 1 night as going to a show in Blackpool & didn’t want to stay in town. Know the area as have friends live St Anne’s so knew proximity to Starr Gate for trams. Good option as free parking which wasn’t the car for other options. Immediate area a little run down & this isn’t one of newer modernised Inns but it was clean, functional & reception on check in & check out both lovely ladies. Very quiet so had a great sleep. Avoid the pub next door … only nipped in for drinks but it needed a good clean & staff who could be bothered!
- sweatyhetti (10/5): Don’t judge this book by its cover - Reception staff were exemplary throughout our stay. Breakfast was great. The location was good for the city attractions and transport links.
- always_harry_potter (10/5): Amazing hotel - Room was comfortable and very clean. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Could not fault them, will be staying again
- U3890PIjackieh (10/5): Phenomenal! - The people and rooms were phenomenal. Everyone was not only polite, but accommodating as well. Definitely will be coming back, one of my top picks of a hotel.
- chucksh2025 (10/5): Amazing staff - The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful during my stay! Will come again. Everyone was extremely polite and everything was clean. Everyone was reasonable and completely levelled in expectation.
- christdinab (10/5): Halloween spooktacular at waterloo - Great location, Team are very helpful nothing is too much. We loved the Halloween on reception and the gifts/treats in rooms. We couldn't ask for a better stay
- MrsWill41 (10/5): Lovely staff - Stayed at the hotel in order to attend a friends 40th birthday nearby. The staff were great. Thank you to Sousan and Mehrhaz who went out of their way to help us.
- J1583DHlaurag (10/5): Great hotel - We had a lovely experience. We had paid for early check in and were warmly greeted. Plenty of car park spaces. Our room was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The bed was amazing with plenty of extra bedding if we needed it. Good shower and good size bathroom. Not far from the bus stop and tram station so good access to Blackpool. Very quiet just what we needed
- 683salikr (2/5): Tina - Me and my partner come to this hotel every month for her uni and we had no problem at all and always have done late out but this time reception team ( Tina ) said she had been here for 10 years and they had never done late out in this hotel that just baffled me .why would you lie to a paying customer like that i work in hotel myself and to be able to lie to guests like that so that makes her job easier is not good for the company .when i challenged her she started to change her answer to oh because we have early in. I told her every company does early in/late out she said not with premier inn. This is the last time we will be using your service Thank you
- Shortcake (8/5): A great stay! - All staff we met were polite and friendly. Check in was very quick and we got rooms opposite each other as requested (family of 4 adults). Rooms very clean, up to Premier Inn's usual very high standard. One room was on the airport side of the hotel, first floor (no lift) and we heard very little noise at all, only the occasional sound of the air ambulance helicopter being started up in the morning, which didn't worry us at all. View was of the airfield, no planes taking off at all, just the helicopter. Unfortunately we found on the first day that one of the panels beside the bed wasn't working (reading light, phone charger usb socket) so I reported it straight away, it wasn't fixed at all during our stay, despite reporting it every day that week. Being disabled, it would have helped to have a light beside the bed instead of having to use my phone light. Our second room was facing the front and was quiet, only a bit of traffic noise which didn't worry us. This Premier Inn is in a good location, with a Morrisons about 5 minutes drive away, where we had breakfast 3 out of the 4 mornings we were there. 4th morning we had breakfast at the Premier Inn, this was very good with plenty of choice.
- MiTrainer (8/5): Well treated, by all staff would stay again - On arrival I was welcomed and treated very well. I had a room on the second floor, on entry it was a slightly chilly but realised window open. I went to turn on air conditioning according to very good instructions, but on approach I noticed that the screen on display was damaged I took picture the unit did turn on but could not see what it was doing…..but it wasn’t heating it just blew out very cod air. I returned to reception showed picture to one of the 3 staff on that night who was Tia who took note and picture was taken off my phone. I was also offered another room but didn’t want to cause problem. And said I’m sure will be fine, but was a bit chilly during night. Unfortunately the maintenance personnel did not manage to fix.
So the next night I asked for portable heater as I realised the room was colder. This I received from Tia and I believe Amira straight away.
I can not fault the staffs effort to make my stay the best they could. For a small team they are doing a lot so fair play to them.
The food was very very good well presented.
Nothing was too much trouble for Tia, Amira, Mehrnaz, they all seemed passionate about their work at the hotel.
Inoperable they do get recognized for all their efforts.
- jdagl1 (10/5): Lovely staff - Tia was amazing and under stressful circumstances as the check in machine wasn’t working dealt with us very professionally and friendly.
- R5943TGannt (10/5): Very good hotel - Have stayed at this hotel a few times now and we always have found all of the staff really helpful. We go by train and leave our luggage in their secure room until check in time.
When we do check in we have never had to wait very long and always had a good clean room.there is always a supply of tea making facilities available. e.g extra tea and coffee etc.
And have always felt safe coming back to the hotel after a evening out.
Breakfast the next day was very good and plates etc cleared regularly.
I will be booking this hotel again.
- Jet26397307865 (10/5): Waterloo st premier inn - Staff brilliant and for me the room windows open which was a plus good breakfast and had dinner one night in restaurant which again as good
- amandag874 (6/5): Disappointed stay at Premier inn Birmingham - Stayed here 4/5 October, staff were loverly & friendly and made you very welcome. Seems a though they have some issues with the drains and was not very pleasant smell in the bathroom. Paid for breakfast on the Sunday morning but due to issue at one of the hotels breakfast was cancelled & said refund would be issued in the next 5days, 10 days have passed, several phone calls still waiting for my refund. Quick on taking your money but difficult getting it back.
- terrencew813 (10/5): Friendly and approachable staff - Thank you for making my stay at Birmingham feel welcoming. The staff her are fantastic, can't do enough for you, Charlaine, Tia and Fern where always happy to help and have a bit of banter whilst also being very professional about their duties....
Cheers guys!!!
All the best ! Until next time 👌👍
- Q9607RIwendyg (2/5): Wish I could give zero stars - This is a shocking hotel I would not stay here again. The hotel was lacking in leadership there was no customer service all the colleagues wanted to do was congregate around the serving hatch. The food was absolutely disgusting and wasnt even warm. Very overpriced hotel and food never again!!!
- Family-Travelling202 (8/5): Nice for a base. - Typical premier inn. Decent enough room, and location a 10 minute walk to stargate for a tram. Bus stop out side. Best thing is plenty free parking at the hotel. Stayed three nights. Breakfast in the airbaloon pub next door.
- merrillk2025 (10/5): One of the best in the city. - Great hotel. Welcoming, clean, modern and very competitive on price. Location is perfect and will definitely make this our new regular when we visit from now on.
- garethk234 (10/5): THANK YOU CHARLAINE! - Initially this was going to be an awful review but Charlaine has really spun this stay around for me. Throughout what seemed extremely disorganised and chaotic, she still managed to wizz around the hotel and make sure everyone was happy.
Food was extremely slow coming out and she managed to keep everyone smiling making sure that nobody felt unheard or forgotten. She was seating people when it was packed, jumping from bar to reception, taking orders and never forgetting anything even when doing multiple jobs at the same time. I even saw her in the kitchen at one point when I went for a bathroom break.
She was very intricate in asking about my allergy that is unheard of (I am severely allergic to legumes) making sure that I was pleased and safe. She even polished my cutlery fresh, opened new napkins for me, sprayed my table top to bottom and the chairs with a fresh cloth AND swept underneath my table for me as she had explained that a lot of dishes come with various peas and legumes so it’s likely that there was traces all over the place. She said and i quote “those little buggers get everywhere, especially when the kids get them” and it made me chuckle.
I am also neurodivergent which I did not make known but she could sense that I was intimidated by a loud group of lads next to me and had kindly moved me away from them despite having other things to do. To notice somebody else’s discomfort when they have not said a word about it takes real attention to detail to spot and an even bigger heart to take action on it. I cannot thank Charlaine enough for her efforts.
Towards the end of the night we had a conversation about her aspirations and goals in life, in which I found out that she is a qualified accountant. I had asked why she worked in hospitality with such qualifications behind her and she had said she likes the social aspect of it and what a wise choice she has made. I have truly never met anyone so open, funny, accommodating and caring even if I only knew her for 2 evenings.
You can truly see everyone’s faces light up from guests to staff when she walks in the room. I even witnessed one of the other lodgers at the bar singing her praises and a fellow colleague hugging her and saying “Thank God you’re in!” when starting her shift.
I later joined the guest at the bar and we talked for hours about how wonderful Charlaine is.
She had kept an infectious smile on her face throughout her entire shift and did not fall short of making all the guests laugh regardless of how busy it was. She made time for everyone and could not do enough despite being told multiple times to take a break by co-workers and even guests.
I have never known anyone to be so passionate and witty at the same time and can truly say that she is an absolute gem.
I would come back just to see her again whilst praying in the back of my mind that she has moved onto bigger and better things because she truly deserves the best for the massive heart that she has.
- Deanobambino18 (10/5): Vibes at the bar - Had a great time at the bar thanks to Fern — she was genuinely one of the nicest people I’ve met behind the bar. Made me feel really welcomed straight away and had a great sense of humour. Proper good vibes all round, she made the night that much better!
- 172abdulq (10/5): Fern is the best waitress I’ve ever seen in my life - Fern deserves a very high pay rise because it’ll allow her to continue to be a beacon of positivity and quality customer service. She has high understanding of customer concerns. I had mentioned that I don’t want beer in my batter and she made real effort in making sure I can enjoy a great dish (fish and chips) without compromising on my beliefs. She also was thoughtful enough to recommend dishes that’ll save money as well as satisfy my big appetite. Best service I had from a hotel because of Fern’s personality and support (p.s I’ve been to many hotels)
- rajatsB8066LN (10/5): Great service from Premier inn - Great service, especially from Fern; from the day I’ve step foot in the hotel, Fern went above and beyond. Hotel was clean and food was good
- 499jill (4/5): Very noisy - So noisy we didn’t get to sleep until gone midnight as the premier is opposite late night clubs and bars,
It’s a shame we were not told about the noise level before we booked as we would not have stayed at this premier.. other than that the reception staff are lovely and the room was very clean.
Restaurant staff were not so friendly unfortunately and quite abrupt.
- I8632AYbenf (10/5): Lovely experience . The big three were amazing - Had a lovely stay here. Tia , Amira and fern aka the big three were amazing and so helpful . Thanks girl , would highly recommend
- tylercB2766AT (10/5): Always a great stay - Great service and amazing staff , night staff service is on point and all staff very professional, room was great and comfy also the bar is open till 3am
Big shout out to Elijah always helpful
- Burnleypeter2021 (10/5): Great hotel - Where can I start .. we were greeted by a friendly member of staff at check in and given our room .. our room was very clean and comfortable the only downside was it had a over bath shower and not a walk in which I struggle with having restricted mobility and chronic pain .. other than that our stay was very good but the breakfast In the morning was not great.. food quality for these places has gone down and no proper hot drinks machine in the restaurant and when I asked got told u can help yourself to the one by the bar but no proper hot drinks machine by the breakfast bar area and the cooked breakfast was rubbish and portion sizes were poor too both me and my wife won't ever eat the premier inn cooked breakfast again
- Ian (10/5): Very Suitable. - Clean. Comfortable. Convenient. Great location.
- jims848 (4/5): Poor experience in an accessibility room, poor breakfast - Room 2 is an accessibility room. They have two. Bed was terrible - way too low and soft, plus two narrow. Our backs were sore after three nights stay. Car parking was great. Breakfast was poor - very limited. Staff were friendly and helpful. No issues with the staff and service, but management needs to fix this.
- Paradise22347325393 (10/5): Perfect for an overnight stay - We used this hotel the night before a flying lesson at the airport for convenience and value for money, but I'd definitely stay there as a base before heading into Blackpool. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, both in person and on the phone, the room and all facilities were clean and more than adequate for an overnight stay, and the location just outside Blackpool, next to a handy pub, at a very reasonable rate, is ideal. Can't fault a premier inn IMO!!
- Z5151YWmartinp (6/5): one night stay - I have stayed at the Premier Inn Blackpool Airport Hotel several times so easy to catch my coach at 6am for my holidays.
I stayed they from 08.08.2025 -09.08.2025 everywhere was clean and comfortable, for some reason I had a disability room and I dont have a disablity and the shower did not work but will be staying there again highly recomend
- F8752GBjonb (10/5): 3 night stay - I have just spent three days with my two children, on arrival everything was smooth, the room was one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Although it's an airport location, there's minimal noise with nothing at night and to be honest my kids found seeing the odd helicopter land exciting.
The down side is the breakfast in the Hot air balloon pub next door. With only instant coffee on offer and not the most welcoming breakfast host.
But I would still recommend this hotel, for us it's location was great, being only a few minutes drive from the pleasure beach and other attractions.
Supermarkets are on your doorstep with others like MC Donald's.
- J3648MSvalerief (4/5): Not quick at providing refunds - Book one night with breakfast, found out last minute that our coach for our holiday was picking us up at 5.45am so too early for breakfast. The lady on reception took all full payment and told us she would sort out the refund for the breakfast. I have been chasing my refund for breakfast since 9th Aug 25 and still not received it as if August 28th 25 not happy at all!
- colind628 (10/5): Outstanding - Another brilliant stay at our favourite Premier inn.
Jesy and her team really are the best.. Had a chat on the phone with her a couple of days before we arrived because I`d messed up the booking details. Jesy sorted things out and there was even a little gift in our room as it was a special occasion.
Rooms are always spotless and fresh and exactly what we need.
Staff always take the time to chat and ask where youve been that day ...its just a nice atmosphere.
Great links to public transport and maybe a 15 min walk to the beech and tram station.
Three local pubs are within walking distance with The Air Balloon right next door.
There is a Lidl next door and a Morrisons and retail park about 10/min walk away.
Definitely our favourite Premier inn and we are back in a couple of weeks.
- skiptotravel (10/5): Weekend visit - Weekend family visit so the young ones could go on rides and to the circus.
Hotel staff re very helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
We had adjacent rooms, which were clean and comfortable.
As with most premier inn visits everything you need for a short visit it there, even a fan on a stand.
We had rooms at the back of the hotel which were quiet and no noise from inside.
The hotel is ideally located for the tram and just far enough from the mayhem of Blackpool.
Plenty of car parking space.
Thoroughly recommend.
- cherylinc2015 (10/5): Family airshow weekend - Very good service from start to finish. Enjoyed our stay very much, very close to airport, shops and tram service. Hot air balloon a good restaurant too.
- philjb8 (10/5): Lovely stay shame about the breakfast - Great staff, very helpfull ,lovely clean room.brilliant with the children would stay again. Could not fault it. Only let down was the breakfast at the Air ballon .It was terrible .premium pork sausage had never seen pork, poor quality food, service was bad and you were rushed . Breakfast served 7 til 9, but if you were not staying at the hotel it was 11am. Place was not clean ,next we will go to Morrisons which is just down the road . It is a shame its not a beefeater as a lot better quality and service than hungary horse.
- 142bethanj (10/5): Amazing - Great hotel perfect for a family getaway. Nice and clean with very helpful kind staff would definitely come again and again
- OzYorkshire (8/5): Good hotel, terrible pub. - The hotel is as good as you would normally get at a Premier, clean, nice staff etc but the biggest let down was the so called pub next door, tried to get a drink at 10.10 pm and was told last orders were 10pm……it’s Blackpool !
Went in the pub for breakfast, what a sorry excuse for a dining experience, my wife wanted soft boiled eggs, they were so uncooked they were inedible and served in a sauce bowl not egg cup, the tables were filthy, the girl taking orders was more interested in her phone than customer service, I know this is not a premier inn pub but they should do quality checks surely.
So all in all hotel good but pub next door absolutely abysmal
- Wannabetogethers (8/5): Good stay, nice staff, good transport links, no WiFi - Arrived 20 minutes early but had to wait until official check in time. Staff friendly enough, room clean. Pub next door. Bus and train service a short walk away. Quiet at night so slept well.
WiFi both free and Ultimate (which I paid extra for) did not work, didn’t have time to discuss with staff to reboot their server, so sent an email to address on booking confirmation, they just said contact Premier Inn directly….no time for that unfortunately, probably won’t pay for Ultimate WiFi going forward.
- 904glynt (10/5): Very good - We had a lovely time here we have been several times over the years and find the premier inn good value and always very clean
- Sunshine41151 (10/5): Blackpool Airport Great Service - The most helpful of staff always available and smiling. The manager could not have done more to help my bookings. The room was also super quiet and felt very looked after!
- Magued (8/5): - Good experience.
