Guest Reviews
- nicolaeS2601LH (10/5): Jo and Liz brilliant - Nicola - Have stayed here and Liz and Jo have been fantastic hosts never anything too much trouble. Clean room and bathroom. Also met a friend staying here Michael who thinks the same.
Will stay again thanks ladies x
- 111PATRICI (10/5): Will definitely return to Premier inn Alfred Street - Fantastic stay in Belfast
Really helpful staff
Bonita on reception could not do enough to make my staff perfect.
Breakfast was really good and plenty of everything.
- X1719XPtracyr (10/5): Great location - Great location Nice room with a view of the cranes room 606 Friendly staff Leona & Leanne who were quick to make up the additional bed that housekeeping had missed on our booking.
Lovely breakfast plenty of availability of items nice cosy restaurant.
- phileasfoggtmc (8/5): Decent hotel in a good location - Decent usual standard from Premier Inn. Centrally located and quite modern. A very warm welcome from the ladies on reception. Rooms were great to a high standard
- Cruiser55679385254 (10/5): Great stay - Great hotel in a fantastic location, we were visiting for the Christmas market and was so handy. Family room was perfect, great breakfast and great value overall. Bettina on reception was really nice and helpful, will definitely be back.
- bobbylB347OH (10/5): Family time - Stayed at the Premier Inn Bedford Town Centre Riverside with my wife and kids and we were really impressed. The room was clean and comfy, the beds were great, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The riverside location was lovely for a quick walk, and the kids absolutely loved the breakfast!
Would definitely stay again
- 133114 (6/5): Eat breakfast elsewhere. - Do not have breakfast. For 3 days the fried eggs must come out of shells with broken yolks covered in grease/water mix and made of rubber. Day 3 asked for freshly cooked eggs which were at least edible. Day 2 no hash browns or beans had to ask and wait 10 minutes then when they came out she removed a half full tray of Sausages! Day 2 just had delivery the brown bread was under heat lamp in kitchen as it was frozen! No muffins and a few bedraggled pain ochocolat.coffee machine had to be looked at by someone as it constantly said call operator. No good if you are having to be somewhere early.
Rest of stay up to normal standard and not had this problem before, and hope never again. Got another one booked in new year.
- 839shanig (10/5): Best stay, great staff service - What an amazing stay at the hotel, great staff and service. Leonna and Leanne treated us exceptionally well. Thanks so much for looking after us :)
- lauramP5594BR (10/5): Great Location - We had a lovely sty at he Bedford town Centre hotel. The staff were really friendly and helped me with booking a taxi. The location is really convenient for Bedford and the breakfast was hot with the option o fresh eggs on request. Only downside is the parking cost.
- iandT857GZ (10/5): Great staff food good - Great welcome from moment we walked through the door staff very welcoming. Room very clean and warm. Food great Leona and Leanne helpful and friendly.
Second stay but will be back location so handy .
- 114nicholal (10/5): Blinding breakfast - Included the breakfast during this stay and I wasn’t disappointed! Beautifully cooked full English breakfast with everything you would expect. You could help yourself. Lovely lady called Gemma was on hand to see if I would like a fresh fried egg. Was helped by a lovely lady called Mandy who helped me source some brown bread for my toast. Lots of cold drinks available as well as your usual hot drinks. A lovely young girl called elise helped me to my table as I was trying to juggle a very big plate of food plus drinks. Very clean and a lovely friendly atmosphere. 10/10
- graemes656 (6/5): Lovely location let down on quality of the bed - Lovely location and the room was very nice with a view , only thing that let this place down is I found the bed not very comfortable, this could just be to individual preference, I can’t comment on the food as I did not have breakfast or a meal
- 591frankiem (4/5): Disappointing stay - Disappointed with poor cleanliness of public areas. Lack of staff resulted in long waits to check in and for bar service
- 1staves (6/5): Service deteriorating due to understaffing - As ever the room is good .However despite best effotrts of staff service is poor due to understaffing . There were only two people covering all roles including reception. Taking orders cooking and serving staff _ This was both friday and saturday nights. And breakfast.
- M7339LHlewisr (2/5): Awful - Absolute stinker took 45 mins for starter staff arguing in the hall I’d be embarrassed if that was my staff, not a single positive to say about this place, even had staff swearing at customers who simply asked how long it would be
- S3258REangelaw (10/5): Fabulous! - Fabulous 3 days - first lone travel - what made it so fabulous was the amazing staff!!
They were run off their feet most of the time but were still amazing - thank you x
- G8164YVbriant (10/5): Excellent. - Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast. Spacious rooms. Everything went smoothly even though there were renovation s going on.
- OwenD201 (8/5): Clean and central - Clean and central staff very friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- tiniandc1 (10/5): Check in - Aaron at check in was a pleasure
Such a lovely gentleman and the perfect manners
Very helpful and willing to help with with any questions we had
- 421sariet (2/5): Never again! - The reception area smelt of strong body odour and then the room smelt of smoke and sweat - it appeared clan but clearly people have been staying for longer periods of time than the odd night and its in the curtains and carpets it smells like someone's house that smokes. I also didn't feel safe as a female on my own it seems like a hotel mainly for male workers or males in general. Never again would I go there and its put me off premier inn in general now too
- 764lizzien (6/5): Great location, hotel could’ve been better - Great location and mostly friendly staff, although we were told we were “cutting it a bit fine” by arriving for breakfast at 9:40am? Breakfast was ok, although the scrambled eggs were watery from sitting there too long & utensils had obviously been cross-contaminated between the meat & eggs/other dishes!
The room itself was nice and clean, although it was bitterly cold over night and felt very damp in the morning as the heating didn’t work particularly well. There were also lots of building works going on there which we weren’t made aware of until a few days before our arrival… had I of known this, I probably would’ve booked a premier inn in the city centre.
- gracenH9349GN (10/5): Warm and welcoming - Gemma was lovely, hotel was clean and comfortable will return.
Gemma was lovely, hotel was clean and comfortable will return.
- josephinejeffrey69 (4/5): Poor - Location is good. Work going on while we stayed. Only one lift working which was a disaster.
Atmosphere was lacking.
Staff left alot to be desired except for one friendly gent in the desk. Overheard staff members bad mouthing a customer. Toilets in bar areas were disgusting.
Check in was slower than slow.
Breakfast was poor.. Expensive for what it was.
Booked 3 family rooms only 1 was available when we checked in at 5 30 pm. Told we would have to wait or take double rooms which we did in the end.
Outside of hotel looks un-inviting however rooms were warm and fairly clean but not spotless.
Having said all of this I would stay here again for location.
- conman2019 (8/5): Good location - Good location
We recently stayed here for 2 nights arriving at 2.20 but had to wait till 3 to check in whether our room was ready or not
Lovely riverside view, apart from 1 or 2 little things the room was clean
First morning for breakfast we were greeted by a nice friendly lady who asked us about allergies, explained everything and asked for room number
Second morning we stood for nearly 15 minutes by the please wait to be seated sign before a different woman came
She only asked room number and would you like an egg.
Lovely breakfast both mornings spoilt by the luke warm coffee (latte and cappuccino) out of the coffee machine
Parking at the recommended nearby multi storey car park was expensive, difficult to work out the total amount to pay for 48 hours and unclear if we would receive a hotel discount after midnight on the Sunday night
We found it easier and much cheaper to park at Melbourne Street West ncp car park 10 mins walk away over the bridge.
But anyway,, good hotel, we enjoyed our stay
- lookwithcaleb (10/5): Work trip - Very friendly staff felt welcome and looked after the whole stay. Nice little bar and a good pint! Breakfast was buffet style and kept topped up regular.
- chloemV6269IQ (4/5): Poor - Had a very rude encounter with staff. Firstly myself and many others hanging around reception on multiple occasions waiting for a staff member to appear.
Second I booked an early check in paid £15 extra for 11am and when I arrived I took myself to reception at 10.57 to ask if the room was possibly ready. I was told it’s only 3 mins to 11am and I should wait until 11. I went back 3 mins later and was advised the room won’t be ready until after 12 as check out is that time. I explained that I paid for early check in and am here with my luggage etc the woman told me the only option I have is to downgrade my room and I can check in early I agreed with a bit of hesitation and I still waited until 12.05 to check in. I was sitting directly in front of reception for this time and not one member of staff kept in touch with me or offered me a coffee or anything . The woman who I dealt with never offered to refund the £15 for early check in that I paid. She also was very intimidating and had a serious lack of people skills in terms of communication. Luckily that evening I met another lady on reception who was lovely and nothing but helpful. She took my complaint and actually advised me herself to write a review . I won’t be staying here again and definitely wont be recommending to anyone simple due to the fact that woman seemed to be head of reception and the way I was greeted by her was nothing short of rude and disrespectful. Don’t waste your money.
- purpletravller (8/5): Central location handy for the sights - Situated a short walk from the main attractions on a quiet street. About a 20 minute walk from the main bus station. Building was undergoing some building work and we were notified of this prior to our visit. Staff, on the whole, were friendly and helpful (a lovely receptionist gave us some suggests on where to eat and Aaron the young breakfast server was also very helpful). Breakfast was free during our stay (promotional offer) and was the standard Premier Inn fare although the soda scones were outstanding. Rooms were comfortable, although a little chilly, and the bathroom was fine.
- mariewK2293HH (10/5): One night - Had a very pleasant stay here for one night. We were going to the Waterfront theatre and the hotel was just a 10-15 min walk away. Its in a very good location as everywhere is within walking distance. The hotel is also situated on a quiet street so very little road noise. We checked in at 3pm and were given our key by a very friendly receptionist. We had a room on the 1st floor. Our double bedroom was roomy and also had a sofa bed . The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The only complaint about the bathroom was the bath was quite high and my husband found it difficult getting in and out after his shower. The bed was very comfortable.
We had the meal deal - 2 course dinner with a drink and breakfast. As our booking had included a free breakfast we only had to pay an extra £16 each for our meal. Maybe not the best, but we ate it and were full afterwards. However the waitress was so attentive and friendly that she made up for any shortcomings. As for the self service breakfast, we couldn't complain at all. There was fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, and of course the big fry up. It filled us up for the rest of the day. We will definitely be back.
- carolej2017 (8/5): Comfortable and clean city centre hotel - Overall good experience, the hotel is centrally situated within easy walking distance to city centre. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was as you would expect from a Premier Inn, good but best when freshly put out.
We only tried the Thyme restaurant once well we didn’t actually as 7.30pm on a Monday night it was closed 😳
The staff were all friendly but must give a special mention to Kris who is friendly, funny and went above and beyond to show us where to catch the bus to the city airport which cost £4.60 for two instead of a fortune for a taxi.
Thanks again for your help Kris.
- francisc363 (10/5): Very satisfied with recent stay - My wife and I stayed in this hotel recently and all in all it was a pleasurable experience. The check in was smooth, the food in the restaurant was good and the staff really excelled themselves, as they were obviously short of a few bodies - but those who were there really went the extra mile in terms of providing top class customer service. I always forget to notice individual names as it would be appropriate to highlight their excellent service here; but they were all excellent.
- Roam57464796986 (10/5): Best accommodation - Everything was perfectly, the room was clean and the services were enough. Noise level was very low and atmosphere was very calm and chill.
- janicejQ2788QG (10/5): Excellent - This is the best Premier Inn I stayed in. well done! all the staff are so friendly and everything is clean and as you would expect, I got the river view which was worth the money
- Fowler43 (10/5): Gluten Free Heaven - As a recently diagnosed coeliac, I was really worried about eating breakfast somewhere that wasn’t home. Lorna and the team were absolutely wonderful and I couldn’t have asked for better service. I was given clean cutlery, a lovely lady made me some gluten free toast and Lorna was amazing, serving me my breakfast with separate utensils. I was seriously impressed! A huge thank you and well done to the team and I hope other Premier Inns do the same.
- B9697BTdanm (10/5): Great breakfast - Pop in now and again for breakfast with my girlfriend. Great views and a friendly team. Ask for an omelette if you go at the weekend they’re great :)
- L1347ZYtimh (8/5): Pleasantly Surprised - Given some of the reviews of this hotel I was pleasently surprised with my stay. The hotel feels very new and maybe teething problems led to the previous negative reviews. The hotel offers great value for money, especially considering its spacious rooms and overall comfort.
The location is very convenient, with good transport links that make it easy to get around the city. The S Bahn station is just across the road and with number 19 and 45 trains departing the station, it makes accessing the rest of the city easy. There’s also an Aldi supermarket nearby, which was really handy. The service was friendly and efficient although there wan an occasion when they should have had more than one receptionist on. Everything felt clean and well-maintained throughout my stay.
Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel on the basis of value, given the price of other hotels in Berlin.
- nadezda86 (10/5): Beautiful quiet and clean hotel - Beautiful hotel at just few stops from Berlin airport. Really easy to find as it’s only few steps away from the tran station. We arrived quite late at night and we checked in with no problem. Our room was so spacious with beautiful modern furniture and great lighting. Choices of pillows, blackout curtains, lovely fluffy duvets, big tv, nice size desk with kettle, teas and coffees and plenty of room where to hang coats and clothes. The 5 stars are especially for the bathroom, amazing mirror, sink unit, toilet and walk in shower. Everything was spotless clean!
We slept really well, there was no noise at all coming from the corridor.
I would definitely come back if I had the chance
- adrianfR8414KY (2/5): No eggs at breakfast - Very disappointed to find out that they had run out of eggs at breakfast.
Not what I expect from a premier inn.
You can do better
- meganbT37DD (10/5): 5* customer service! - We managed to get a last minute booking tonight - we had a guest house booked which was terrible so we needed to find a last minute room. Kenan managed to fit us in last minute and went above & beyond for us, we're so grateful. Thank you so much for your great customer service - we will 100% be returning and recommending all our family & friends to stay!
- 457garyu (8/5): Good value - Bed was comfy, room was clean. Was too hot and no option to open the window and no air con. Corridors outside the room has a strange smell but this was not in the room. Breakfast was nice, good selection
- Sau Wai (10/5): - Good
- davidwE7386BY (10/5): Two night business stay - Great location , rooms as expected , lovely lady in reception, as were all the staff , very good value for money . I would definitely stay here again
- jhG4955LP (6/5): Average - The hotel was lovely and clean; the reception during our stay was only ever manned by one person. This led to queues and long waiting times. Some of the staff were not helpful; we were in a bedroom that was not accessible for a hoist, although advertised as accessible. We asked at the reception to see if there was a spare camp bed that we could use, as it was unsafe for us to get the wheelchair user in and out of bed. The first member of staff told us no and there was nothing she could do, as all the beds were on the floor and not lifted. We had to make do on the first night; on the second night there was a new member of staff on who was extremely helpful. she moved our rooms so that the bed was lifted off the floor, making it safe for not only the carers but the wheelchair user.
- Jacqueline (6/5): - Hotel is in a good location.
- joshgX4206ZI (6/5): The building is nice but cheap construction. - The building and room was very clean. Checkin was quick with the self checkin service. Only problem is the walls are paper thin I could hear the room above coughing and the room next to me talking and giggling most of the night.
- Wayne (10/5): - Clean room Great breakfast
- N1417SRscotts (6/5): Nice location and views from thd 8th floor, but led down by a sub par car park and bad drains smell. - Nice location but let down by lack of its own deficated car park. Yes there is chargeable parking available locally at the River centre multi story (at a reasonable rate too) but anyone with a larger (and particularly wider) car than a medium sized hatchback or saloon needs to be very careful getting in and out if the park (and also between levels) as the entrance, exit and level ramps are all quite narrow and have very high kerbs waiting to take chunks out of your wheels. The roadways being narrow, these kerbs are also very hard to see once you've begun your turn in.
Oh yes, and on exit, avoid using the left hand of the two exit barriers at all costs (see above warning about high kerbs if doing so). Much easier and safer to wait a little so you can go straight out the right hand barrier without needing to turn in.
Room was ok, if a little snug for a family of four, and the staff helpful and cheerful.
- Patricia (8/5): - The staff were friendly & helpful, one staff even helped me sort my euros & pounds coin 😊 We weren't told about inserting your card key in to turn on the lights in the room but we figured it out. A little noisy during the day when they were working on the lift but quiet in the evenings. Convenient location, clean rooms & excellent staff.
- sarahj916 (10/5): Five ⭐️ experience - The Company I work for booked me at the Riverside while I work at the Bedford branch, from check up until the next before I check out, all the colleagues here have been phenomenal! They have made my stay feel extra special, they are always cheery, even when they are dealing with guests that are in my opinion rude and disrespectful.
I wanted one night to take my food up to my room they prepard it beautifully and even offered to bring it up to my from, all the food is delicious!
One particular lady I let her know I had made a mess without meaning to, she made sure I didn't feel ashamed, and said it will be all cleaned up. this evening I come into my room and she left me some goodies with a lovely note that actually brought tears to my eyes, I hope she reads this and knows she is an absolute treasure x
The only one thing that was not anyone's fault I struggled with was how warm the room is, but on the plus side at least it'll be perfect for when those cold nights settle in.
I highly recommend staying here, I thoroughly look forward to coming back. ✨️
- Carlos (8/5): - Staff was helpful and friendly. The room's carpet had stains, no “don’t disturb” sign, no ice chest, no iron, the fire alarm went off twice in the morning for no reason apparently. It’s close-by to food and convenience stores. The bus terminal is barely 15 minutes walk, overall it’s convenient but you got what you paid for.
- Karen (6/5): - You need more than 2 pillows on the bed
- Christian (10/5): - .
- Luis (8/5): - All good👍
Beds atr comfottable👌
- Mariah (4/5): charged 15 dollars extra to check in 45 min early - We were there 1 hour before the check in time and the lady that worked there was unfortunately very rude. She informed me that I had to pay 15 dollars to get the room 45 min early. And that traveling make people ”cranky” I just told her that we were exhausted because we had missed our connecting flight by 4 min and had been traveling for 2 days and would love to check in if possible. She was so rude that I will never book this hotel chain again.. I travel a lot and this is the first bad review I have ever written. There was also only one towel in the room. Very basic which was fine. We just wanted to sleep a little. But the unfortunate attitude really was a bad start to our travel
- Willi (10/5): Empfehlenswert - Alles war super. gerne immer wieder.
- John (6/5): - It was a functional place to stay. Clean and good breakfast.
- Vincent (10/5): - Great location with easy parking. The staff was incredibly accommodating.
- jonathankT5964YK (4/5): Premier ? I think not ! - Queueing for just under an hour to check-in without any form of apology, the usual key-card not working to get into the room and being ignored by staff in favour of them learning how a new chocolate stand works !! The room was spacious and clean although I was told at reception to "ask each morning if I wanted it cleaned".
It didn't feel like a 'premier' experience although the room, to be fair, was good value. Make sure the price you pay is at Ibis, Travelodge levels because I feel that is the level of service I received.
- 965stephaniev (4/5): Disappointing - On arrival I was welcomed by a very vriendly staff member. He told me as I stayed for 10 nights he would give me a comfortable/more spacious room.
After 1 night I noticed my airco wasn’t working but when I told it to the staff they said they would put it on from their system and it would work (they send me up to my room like this at least 10 times the first 3 nights) and after they finally gave me a new room in which it wasn’t working as well (they said they were trying to save energy then) so I stayed another night in a 28degree room. The day after I asked to change again and they finally gave me a room with a partly working ac. Staff members going back and forth from reception to the bar/restaurant didn’t help as well.
The rooms are spacious and relatively clean (saw some bugs moving on the carpet) and the bed is really comfortable.
Breakfast, another disaster… again a big shortage of staff.
This morning at 9:30 (breakfast is until 11) there were 5 pieces of bread left for a full breakfast room, I almost didn’t dare to take one. All the tables are left dirty so not inviting for people arriving. Everything goes so slow.
And finally besides 2 staff members at reception and maybe 1 at breakfast, I only saw staff members being unhappy/unfriendly (and I already saw a lot the past week).
This being said I’m a bit dissapointed staying here for 10 nights. (And as I work in aviation I stay in hotels all the time)
- 454parw (10/5): Exceeding expectations and 10/10 staff - My stay at this specific Premier Inn is ranked as a stand out for hotel excellence in customer experience. Upon my arrival was a warm welcome and fast check in by Kristoff and Ariadna. The room was in immaculate condition, it was super cosy, and I had some really good nights sleep. Breakfast was delightful with Albert at hand to help navigate the buffet. Also, I was fortunate enough to have Celine assist me with some tourist stuff. Luca helped me check-out easy.
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, you have an excellent team who contributed to me having a great city break in Germany. Thank you
- Passport25418117718 (10/5): Delightful Hotel - I had such a nice time! The staff was extremely professional and incredibly helpful throughout my visit.
For instance, Ann-Sophie dedicated almost an hour to teach me how to navigate the Berlin train system. She assisted me with buying tickets online and helped me download the best app to use during my travels. Barbara at the front desk was fantastic as she showed me the best locations for sightseeing, which really enhanced my experience. Additionally, Yanina was very accommodating when there was an issue with my AC; she effortlessly arranged for a room change, finding me a nicer room despite the hotel being overbooked. Lastly, I’d like to thank Satyaki for promptly answering all my queries, which I greatly appreciated.
In general, the staff exceeded my expectations and were consistently courteous and helpful.
The hotel’s location is also a bonus—it is close to the airport and has excellent connections with public transport. Plus, there is a nice ALDI store and gas station nearby, which made my stay even more convenient.
Because of the amazing staff, I am definitely planning to return whenever I visit Berlin again.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience.
- if54 (2/5): Sadly, let down by Premier Inn Berlin Airport - Without calling me or anything, this hotel cancelled my hotel stay at 6pm. I only found out in the evening whilst making my way there. First time in Berlin. Travelling solo.
Left feeling very vulnerable
No phone number on website and when I did find one, was greeted by TOM. I think hes AI. But not that intelligent! Ge/ it didn't answer my questions or offer solutions
I'm now out of pocket thanks to their unfair and totally last minute action .
What's sad is I've been a long term user of this brand hotel. It's put me off
- uchyu2024 (2/5): Never again - Highly disappointed with this hotel. Nice modern building 15 minutes by metro from the airport. Very poor service. I stayed several days for work. I requested cleaning of my room but it was never done! Elevators not working, so getting to the 5th floor with suitcases via stairs is not easy. Air conditioning constantly turns off by itself. I strongly advise against it, there are much better around the Berlin airport.
