Guest Reviews
- 11dragon64 (10/5): Premier Inn Putney Bridge - Nice hotel with great location. Recommend the walk along River Thames which is easily accessed directly opposite hotel, off the bridge.
Staff very helpful and accomodative. Breakfast magnificent! Rooms comfortable though common areas on upper floors need a bit of a paint job and maybe some new carpeting. Wifi was poor unfortunately.
- venom7dk (4/5): Not what was expecting - The location was good near the underground. The atnosphere was just old fashioned. The room was good but one bed was like broken on the left side so we couldnt use it.. Early check in and late check out was not an option in contrast with what was saying in the website. Last but not least the sink in the bathroom and bathtub was unacceptably blocked and we had to wait while we were brushing teeth or haveing a bath. The reception was just there only for check ins.. otherwise you could feel the vibes thay they were not so willing to help the customers
- E7343BZjoshw (2/5): Rubbish disappointed terrible - !Do not stay bad experience!
Stayed here for 3 nights had no hot water rooms not tidy to standard expectations from Premier Inn rubbish on floor beds not made looked like they had been slept in already staff not friendly or understanding of the situation told us to complain to a number they wrote on a card and offered us a free breakfast which we were happy with at the time giving they had promised the showers would be working on our second day but we turned up to breakfast in the morning the queue was ridiculous but we was not told to book in advance breakfast was cold and not edible personally I have rang the number they have given me and I’m now waiting to hopefully get a refund for hygiene purposes this is unacceptable and the matter will be taken further if a refund isn’t provided
- adamhC7403UH (2/5): Terrible night away for winterwonderland - Terrible dirty towels no hot water staff rude and no interest breakfast was overwhelming and queuing for ages. Never again.
- jayyf2025 (10/5): Customer service - Irfan was a great friendly man with a great smile and welcoming he was so helpful with everything I need will definetly come back
- Y6431YMjonathanh (2/5): Not great - No hot water for a shower, forced to get cold shower. Offered complementary breakfast but so did every other guest and they did not advise us to book breakfast ahead of time. Sink was blocked so was also unable to use sink without it overflowing.
- Lies4living (10/5): Great location, clean and quiet. - Premier inn Shepherds bush road was ideally located really close to Hammersmith station, Riverside Studio and The Apollo.
We stayed in a room on the 5th floor. It was quiet and very clean. Bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed.
Breakfast was good value and both hot and continental food available.
Friendly staff. Would recommend.
- clive6356 (8/5): Basic budget acceptable. - Putney Bridge Premier Inn. A grim looking 60s concrete monstrosity. Made worse as you approach the entrance, past the filthy, broken sign and through a sea of hundreds of cigarette butts that litter the front door area. Surrounded by a broken, paint peeling, wooden fence.
Pleasant receptionist was able to fix my mistake of booking a room with a double bed instead of two single beds. The extra towel she gave us had to be handed straight back as it was badly blood stained. She was very apologetic. The room was what you would expect from this price bracket. Basic. Tea/coffee/UHT milk/ sugar sachets, kettle and two mugs. In this day and age, there really should be at least one USB charging point, luckily I was equipped with adapter plugs. Comfy bed, clean bathroom with good water pressure/ shower over bath. The place was very quiet at night time. Breakfast was very good, full fry or continental option, decent coffee/tea/ selection of fruit juices. Two machines in the foyer area dispensed travel items you might have forgotten, and a soft drink/ snack machine. Hideously expensive, use the minimart down the road 100metres. All in all, it was just about value for money, I’d certainly use it again as it was very good for tube/ bus stops.
- Noddy5670 (8/5): Great location and staff - Great location for visiting all area of central London and just minutes from local underground station. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Our room was large and on the ground floor however was in a design recess so limited any natural light entering the room. Also the aluminium windows were cold which meant the drapes being closed to keep the room warm. Restaurant for breakfast was excellent with plentiful supplies for the buffet breakfast.
- suella-de-vil (4/5): Great location but refurb overdue - Fantastic location 2 mins from tube and a lovely walk across the bridge into Putney.
But…. This hotel is very tired and in poor overall repair. The heating did not work in our room (portable heater provided) and the room felt cold and a bit musty. The mattress was old and a bit lumpy and not of the usual PI standard. The bathroom fan could not cope with steam from shower and there was black mildew on the windows.
I didn’t complain to staff on site though as I’d heard the way they had dealt with another person complaining and they hadn’t sounded particularly sympathetic.
It’s hugely popular though presumably because of location and we heard the person on front desk telling other guests the place was fully booked for Saturday night due to winter wonderland.
I wouldn’t stay here again but I do use other premier inns a lot and they are usually far better than this.
Refurb needed !!
- AngieF974 (4/5): Unfriendly staff - When we arrived the lady on reception was rude and seemed like she didn’t want to be there. The Wi-Fi was down and she asked us to pay in cash. I don’t carry that much cash on me. The next day we went out and when we came back our key card wouldn’t work had to queue to get it reset. My daughter went out in the evening. She arrived back around midnight. Her key card wouldn’t work. She went to reception. Told them the name on the booking. The staff on reception said it was not the name. Refused her entry. Luckily she rang me and woke me up so I could go down and let her in. Must have the same issue as the morning with the other key card. She was very upset. I also had paid for an early check in. But due to delayed trains we didn’t get in until 3.30pm. I asked if the early check could be refunded and the rude receptionist said no way. Also the shower needs looking at because it didnt work properly.
- hannaheN8432HP (8/5): Okay for price - I knew the air-conditioning wasn't working, but didn't appreciate this meant no heating! Room initially very cold but the provided heater warmed up.
The room felt very tired - the windows rattled throughout the night and it was very noisy.
Only one large towel and one hand towel provided. Although clean, the bath had evidence of black mould on the grout and surround.
The extractor fan in the bathroom squeaked loudly when in use, and you could hear the neighbouring bathrooms too.
Water in the bath didn't get very hot, disappointing noisy bath!
The staff were great, but everything else felt a bit lacking.
- robmR3681MZ (6/5): Great location, tired hotel - The location was very good, away from the city centre, but easy access to the tube which was 2 minutes away. The food and drink was good and quite reasonably priced. Disappointed that the restaurant didn't start serving food until 6pm. We had a show booked the first night and wanted to eat at about 5pm but couldn't, so we ordered food in.
I was informed the week before our stay that the A/C wasn't working and that a fan had been put in our room. It did get rather warm at night.
The staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel is very tired looking both externally and internally, and needs a major makeover.
- Romicha (10/5): Simple honest review - This is my forth time staying at the Premier inn Paddington Basin this year.
The location is great if your portal station is London Paddington and it's nice to be on the Basin away from all the traffic, but with a few nice eateries.
The hotel is warm and friendly and the staff are welcoming.
The rooms are basic but comfortable as one would expect from Premier Inn.
It is a little pricey for a Premier Inn but I guess this is taking into account the location. I will be back as it is very convenient.
- 70lesleyk (2/5): Find another hotel!!! - Don't touch this hotel. I stayed for 5 days while working for a client and was bitten whilst in bed on 4 consecutive nights. The hotel said that I must have brought the bugs in as there were no signs of bugs! Obviously not as I hadn't been bitten before I arrived, nor after I left, so it doesn't take a genious to figure that one out.
- AnthonyMcNulty (10/5): Great location - Excellent location, great staff, clean and comfortable. Ideal for music venues, and right by the tube. Very accessible.
- tarynm961 (6/5): Great if was able to shower - Staff very friendly especially Koyel who was extra helpful. Visit spoilt by no hot water for our 2 night stay which was out of hotel’s remit but we were promised a full stay refund as compensation which was very reasonable.
- anitasM33OH (6/5): Review - Had a qr code to do self check in but got a hostile response from a colleague there. Then when checked in got told that the hotel had no hot water & was told that it would be back on by late afternoon. Next morning still no hot water. Unacceptable!
- U7548SMlesleyg (10/5): Weekend in London with easy access to transport & fantastic hotel atmosphere & assistance. - This hotel was amazing. We are both disabled to a hotel close to Paddington station was a must. Literally just across the road and our experience with all staff was excellent.
- 151theresad (6/5): Tired - Stayed for two nights and picked due to proximity to Hammersmith for a gig (30 min walk away). Slept well and had a great breakfast, but this hotel is tired and in need of a refit. Shower was hot but water pressure poor, and the hotel was just a bit shabby. Rotten window frames which, even with secondary glazing, let in a chill and made our room really cold. Stayed in many a Premier Inn, but wouldn’t stay here again unless location was key.
- N5342QNpaula (4/5): A poor experience all round. - Great location however that's the only reason to stay here. The place is tired, unloved and needs either a refurbishment or knocking down. For the money you pay the rooms need to be better. On arrival we turned on the TV and instead of the usual welcome message it displayed 'Leeds is a shi*hole'. Lovely.
The toilet wouldn't flush properly, the water pressure in the shower was rubbish, carpets were stained and on the landing were loose. The window frames were rotten.
When these issues were reported we were met with some indifference. The offensive message wasn't deleted and we were there for a number of days.
Having contacted Customer Services they weren't interested in our experience. We'll go somewhere else next time.
- svenkP6149DT (10/5): Shannon is the GOAT - Shannon is an absolute legend. She helped us with everything and it was all done with the biggest smile! Absolutely amazing.
- anthonylindseyfr2016 (10/5): Best location, great rooms, good value. - Great location for sightseeing, theatre tube and buses. Clean comfy rooms, great friendly staff. Nice bar and restaurant, good meal options nice breakfasts.
- aarz79 (8/5): Usual premier keepin up with area costs - Decent sleep, not the best but its a premier prison...u cant open a window.. food on a 4/5... breakfast hit n miss, bar very expensive but thats southern... 7.25 a pint of madri thats £4 in the north.. why.... cos the south need to take more..
- asiftraveller2018 (10/5): it does what it says on the tin - A premier inn is a Premier inn. You know what to expect .And that’s good. Despite being on a main road , you could not hear even the noisiest largest HGV due to 2 layers of double glazing - so quad glazed. The breakfast was good as always .My only suggestion is to have warmed plates. Food goes cold very quickly otherwise
- neidin2023 (10/5): Good value hotel - Very good location, quiet rooms, nice breakfast. Check in was very friendly and helpful. Food store was 5min walk from the hotel.
- 246kente (8/5): Comfortably and affordable. - The hotels is in a new furbished area by the Paddington basin. Not fair from to tube stops. We were having a stay in the family room. 2 kids on singel beds, me and my wife in an doublem next time I will ask for a single duvet. As non of me or my wife like the double duvet. The hotel experience in totalt is great. Simpel breakfast but very easy for my celiac wife and me in terms of calorie counting. The only minus we had during they stay was that charge us with an third breakfast even though I ask for only 2 days of breakfast. I complained and the refund the third. However still waiting for the money. But has been 9 days since we came home. But the website says it can take more than 10 so will se. In total a great stay.
- HappilyMarried08 (6/5): Men in room on arrival! - We travelled as a family of 4, and a relative also stayed. She had her own room. After checking in around 7pm, she went to her room to find 2 men in there. House keeping apparently!! Very very disconcerting for a single female traveler. No explanation of why they were in her room.
After heading to the bar area, and getting back to her room later, she realised the bedding was damp.
Bar area welcoming and modern but service slow.
- PhotoGraeme (8/5): Good location for Hyde Park area - Massive 19 floor hotel very convenient to Hyde Park, at a reasonable price (compared to others). First time I have stayed here in ages. Made it easy for my very early start working in Central London. One benefit was that the breakfast started at 6.30am, so I could grab something to eat before departing.
The downstairs dining area was good and the bar looked reasonable. Used the free WiFi as the Vodafone coverage was not good at the location. Nice touch was the electronic train service timetable in the lobby.
Next time I stay here I will print out a map to guide me here from the underground station, Google maps got me lost constantly (probably down to poor cell coverage). Of course I could just have got a cab !
- HippieHappy (10/5): Fab location, super clean, great staff - I stayed at this Premier Inn with my 9 year old son to attend the London Comic Con and we had a fantastic experiences. After a slightly traumatic train journey due to weather - related disruption, this Premier Inn provided exactly what we needed.
Check in was super straightforward. The hotel was SO CLEAN it even smelled nice in the hallway leading to the rooms. The room was very spacious for London, and again, very clean and comfortable.
My biggest praise however goes to the staff serving breakfast as we asked for veggie sausages and I can't get over how quickly they arrived. Also, they were super kind and the breakfast area probably the nicest one I have ever seen in a Premier Inn.
Thanks so much, I'm definitely going to be back.
- 957midea (10/5): Breakfast is amazing ! - The service at the premier inn service was amazing. Especially the breakfast service, Ifran, Sharon and Vikas who were super friendly and gave us the best experience first thing in the morning !
- 427connorl (10/5): Will come again - Great service by Irfan Shanon and Vikas. Will definitely come again. Very friendly. Lovely area in putney, London England
- D4945TImt (2/5): The Silence is Deafening: A Masterclass in Customer Service Failure & Disregard - I am writing this review because a formal, serious complaint sent directly to the Hotel General Manager—and even escalated to the CEO—was completely ignored, forcing me to use this public platform. The service we received for both an individual booking and an upcoming large group reservation has been nothing short of an absolute debacle.
📞 The Initial Debacle: Ignoring Customers for Hours
Before a recent guest's (VIP) arrival, I attempted to contact the hotel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.—a solid four hours. I have photographic evidence of the countless unanswered phone calls and ignored emails. The hotel staff simply would not answer the phone. This lack of communication is not just poor service; it is a fundamental failure of a business operation.
The guest, whose accommodation and complimentary upgrade were already fully paid and confirmed by the hotel, was then incorrectly asked to pay again upon arrival. This wasted significant time and caused unnecessary stress, demonstrating a complete breakdown in internal communication and attention to detail.
📝 The Group Reservation Nightmare
My most pressing concern was ensuring a seamless experience for our large group arrival. Given the substantial revenue this group represents, I expected, at minimum, basic professional service. Instead, the poor service continued:
No Acknowledgement: I sent multiple emails detailing crucial changes and requesting assurance for pre-confirmed arrangements. Not one confirmation was received.
Upgrade Uncertainty: Crucial, pre-confirmed complimentary upgrades for guests were not confirmed to be processed, creating massive anxiety about their arrival.
📢 The Final Insult: Complaint Disregarded
I explicitly demanded a prompt response from management outlining the steps taken to prevent further issues and guarantee a flawless group check-in. This formal complaint, which detailed multiple documented service failures and involved significant group revenue, was met with absolute silence.
This is not the standard expected from a reputable chain like Premier Inn. To spend a significant amount of money and receive a service that is actively detrimental to business operations, capped off by a team who refuses to even acknowledge a formal complaint, is staggering.
The lack of attention, the hours spent trying to reach staff, the payment errors, and the complete disregard for follow-up demonstrate a deep-seated problem at this location. I strongly advise anyone booking, especially for a group, to choose a hotel that values its customers and can manage basic communication.
- 952muhammadc (10/5): Great service, would come back again! - Fantastic service! The staff are so friendly and very helpful with all the inquiries that I had. The reception staff was very welcoming and was not hesitant to assist any problems that I had. Would 100% come back again for another stay!
- WorcestershireBob (10/5): Putney Bridge stay - Irfan was amazing—friendly, helpful and welcoming. He made our Premier Inn Putney Bridge stay perfect!
Also a big thanks to chef Vikas and FOH Sonia.
It’s the people that make a place!
- W8984KSrebeccam (10/5): Good Customer service! - Irfan was fabulous - super helpful and smiley.
A breath of fresh air!
Hotel was in a good location, easy to get to from the tube.
- F4067AWlisam (10/5): Very beautiful - very very good breakfast and very good stuff in particular Sonia, Vikes and Irfan !!!❤️❤️❤️ I love the apple juije and croassant
- lucamC7207JU (10/5): london short trip - very good breakfast! the staff is very kind and i really appreciate my stay at the hotel, egemone i will be back in london i’ll stay here again for sure
- kirshae2025 (10/5): Outstanding staff and perfect location - We arrived with my three children (ages 6–10), planning to just drop our bags before heading back out into the rain to see the Halloween decorations. That’s when we met Nejam and Vika, who greeted us with genuine warmth, made conversation with the kids whilst we were getting sorted, and offered us an early check‑in. The corner room they gave us was spacious, comfortable, and had lovely city views — far better than I expected.
This was my first time at Paddington Basin, and it’s by far the most welcomed I’ve ever felt at a Premier Inn. The location is excellent: right by the canal, perfect for walks to Little Venice and along Regent’s Canal to Primrose Hill, with Paddington Station just five minutes away. The area also has plenty of places to eat and lots to see, making it a great base for exploring.
We added the breakfast option at Bar + Block, and again the service stood out. A lovely member of staff seated us, ensured we had everything we needed, and even chatted with us as we left — asking about our plans and if we’d be back the next day. His kindness made the morning feel brighter and was the nicest breakfast service I’ve ever experienced.
This stay reminded me why I keep coming back to Premier Inn with my children: consistency, comfort, and staff who go out of their way to make things easier. At Paddington Basin, those qualities were paired with a beautiful setting, a welcoming team, and even a breakfast experience that felt personal and memorable. It’s a spot I’ll happily return to.
- Travel19790662195 (10/5): Breakfast - Excellent service from Irfan and Vikas. Food is really good and collection is smoothly. Good quality. Will come back for breakfast.
- Dunwork (6/5): Ok - Very scruffy exterior spoils this well-located basic hotel. The room was quite spacious and fine. Bathroom clean and sufficient but needs extractor ventilation.
Reception staff generally ok but on arrival we were not acknowledged as we were standing at check in desk while 2 of them had a discussion about something on their computer.
- C4224CHariannac (10/5): 4 days in London - Perfect location and really kind staff, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast. They also gave me a little gift and a card for my birthday. I was with my family (twi children ) and some friends. Perfect for families, my children loved It
- teaimenkovic (10/5): Leasure stax at Premier Inn Paddinton Basin - Great hotel for family, great location, close to underground. Very helpfull staff, excellent breakfast. Wifi was not good especially in the evening.
- pilou12017 (10/5): Fantastic nicht sleep and great location - I really enjoyed staying at the Premier Inn, and was very nicely surprised at how helpful and friendly all the staff was. And the hotel is brilliantly located near Hammersmith Tube station, which really helps. Thank you!
- D5520NStonyw (10/5): Worth a visit. - Location is ideal for all your needs, less than a 2 minute walk to Hammersmith Tube. Easy check in/out. Rooms a good size with a great overhead shower.
Breakfast was spot on. Would stay again
- saintgermain7711 (10/5): really good - very good .Go for premium rooms on high level floors .Excellent view over London and very quiet .Bed and room all great .Staff fine
- antonyf20 (10/5): Great place to stay - Great hotel very close to the train and bus station

- charliedB9554KV (10/5): Best hotel in Putney - Lovely stay. Comfortable room and tasty breakfast. I would recommend to everyone looking for a local stay. The staff were extremely kind
- jennyhV7041JM (10/5): Great location - Great location and easy to find from paddington station. Clean and comfortable rooms. We did not eat there , however the food smelt great. Easy check in and check out . Great views of London from the room.
- davidlQ4858KK (10/5): Great 3 nights - Stayed at many places for 3 / 4 nights in London for Concerts and Galleries / Museums, this if not the best (been many times) is certainly one of them. I would stay again without hesitation.
- pauleS1024YX (10/5): Extremely Impressed - I booked this hotel due to price £68 on a Sunday night, I was extremely impressed with it, staff lovely and helpful. Onsite restaurant and bar, the rooms were extremely quiet and perfectly equipped, extremely clean and tidy. I’m sure this price was dynamic pricing due to low occupancy, it’s also worth £200 per night in London if you need to be in that location.
I would definitely stay here again for work.
- jjjjjjjy2025 (10/5): Excellent quality and value - Excellent hotel for location, value and quality. I stayed in a premium room and it was lovely and I would definitely go back
- A7977BSleanneh (6/5): Cleanliness - Overall fairly good but disappointed with the cleanliness of our room & carpets throughout.Staff very friendly, helpful & polite.
- Boo-Leigh (10/5): Great Location for Eventim Apollo - We stayed in a Premier Inn Plus Room for one night whilst attending a concert at the Eventim Apollo which is only 5 minutes walk away
Check in was quick and efficient
Our Room was clean and comfortable and included everything we needed - very quiet
The Bed was very comfortable
We dined at Bar and Block in the evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Check out was friendly and professional
- Hazza12345 (10/5): Perfect location for Hammersmith Apollo - Great location for the Hammersmith Apollo and fabulous, friendly staff!
I’d also recommend the restaurant for food in the evening… they do a great package for Premier Inn customers.
- shahalih (10/5): One of the best stays we had - Lovely experience and very clean room ( 301) ! I would recommend again this hotel to all my colleagues ,friends and family .The manager Ionela was amazing and helped us with all our enquiries.A big thank you and well done 👏
- adamsO5411NI (10/5): Very good - I would like to praise this hotel for the cleanliness of the rooms, IONELA - The Menager of cleaners Team deserves a BIG Thank You .
- 919brend (10/5): Clean, cosy and convenient - Had a very pleasant stay at the premier inn, convenient location for Eventim Apollo. Housekeeping manager Ionela was great and rooms were among the cleanest I have seen in a while. Would 100% stay again.
- S1899HHjamier (10/5): Staff - Diana on the reception desk could not of done more to help if she tried . She just made small changes that ment a lot
Thank you
- Judy (6/5): - Very convenient location.
- Katherine (8/5): - This property is located very close to Putney Bridge Underground giving direct access to downtown London highlights. Good shower, well priced breakfast and dinner. We will stay there again!!
- Jim (6/5): Basic - Staff tried but couldn’t keep the hot water on. The rooms are fine but overall the hotel could use a refresh and better hot water system!
- Mehran (10/5): - Good
- Luis (4/5): - The Premier Inn London Putney Bridge hotel is one of the worst I've ever stayed in. The reception is very small and sometimes empty. The room we were assigned had no closet, no room to store our suitcases, no safe, and no refrigerator. The facilities were very poor. They didn't clean our room during the four nights and five days we stayed.
- willy (8/5): Stille og rolig, buss, bane og tog rett ved. - Jeg fikk et fint rom med utsikt til Putney Bridge station. Stille og rolig. Kunde sove med åpent vindu.
- Roberto (6/5): - Nothing
- Gerard (10/5): - Most everything was fine here at the Premier Inn at Putney Bridge. It’s very close to the District Line, and there were several pubs and bars in the area. It has a great neighborhood feel.
- Ka Wai (10/5): - Great and helpful staff
