Guest Reviews
- Mijndert Jan (8/5): - Aardig personeel 1 petsoons bed minder matras en ontbijt was weinig keuze
- Knud (6/5): - Helt ok rom. Frokosten var ikke noe særlig. Personalet viket uinteressert og tallerkner, glass og buffeter var direkte skitne. Veldig uappetittlig.
- L9639ZHjohna (10/5): quiet and clean - Stayed here regularly with work and wanted to say thank you for having past few months and always accomodating my favorite room 123. a nice big spacious room, always clean and always quiet.
- michaeldR1023EF (6/5): Okay but if you get room 1 … move because the washing machines are the room above you. - Stay here for two week course?
Rooms okay;bath rooms and windows need upgrading. Windows weren’t great;inner ones were the slider ones which didn’t keep the cold out…
Bath room well, need a paint need toilet rolls not a tissues box on the wall? 😆
Heating was a massive air con unit one the wall 🤔 …
God beliggenhet.
Kommer ikke til å bestille der igjen.

- C2788CRlynnp (8/5): Good location - Great location , bar could be updated and decorated all a bit dated, staff very friendly but had to wait to be served at the bar and to be checked in for breakfast
- Resort35438155597 (10/5): Comic Con 2025 - Recently stayed here with my grandsons to attend Comic Con at the arena. Lovely hotel but a good deep clean is needed!! Discounted car parking opposite which was very handy. Didn’t have any meals in the restaurant so can’t comment but we did have a drink at the bar which was fairly priced and had a good selection but I did notice a lot of flies around the bar which was off putting. We did have breakfast as my grandsons love a premier inn breakfast. Breakfast was very tasty, plentiful and hot!! Great selection. Have to mention Chris who greeted us on Sunday morning was very helpful and chatty. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future
- Pioneer62076924164 (8/5): Comfortable - Basic and comfortable. Could do with being understanding and compassionate and review their refund policy. Nice location.
- Traveler35627986212 (10/5): Relaxing, quiet and close to Lincoln - Excellent location, friendly staff, comfy clean bedrooms and good quality food and service in the restaurant.
Would recommend
- elizabethwK2935XH (10/5): Always a pleasure - clean, friendly and reliable - Bed was very comfortable and clean as always, found it very easy to fall asleep as it is generally very quiet at this hotel. Seems like they were working on the wifi finally which is much appreciated as a returning guest at this hotel! Something that is always great is that the staff always ensures that we have extra towels and drinking glasses already in the room before our arrival which i appreciate a lot as its something I usually require when staying at a hotel. Overall always good to be in such a quiet area of lincoln which isnt too far from the centre. Only suggestion is that the hotel communal areas require a refurb some day but ofcourse that cannot be done overnight.
- X9754DEsuer (10/5): All good - Enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff, Gemma on reception was lovely, efficient and knowledgeable. Room was clean and I liked the location of the hotel.
- joseaG3942LJ (10/5): Wonderful stay - Cosy and cleaned room, polite receptionist and nice breakfast.
Quiet place close to city centre, we had also a nice meal in the beefeater restaurant
- fledis (4/5): Good base, but not the cleanest - This hotel is central, so a good base. The beds are comfortable, the pillows lovely. The soap used is of a good quality. However, the cleanliness of the hotel is not of a good standard. The rooms need a deep clean, and the hotel is in need of updating. Carpets look old and worn. The bar area was not well kept, and there were a lot of small flies buzzing about! Would have to think twice about staying again.
- Erlend Stoltz (6/5): - God plassering, utdatert rom
- Moviestar (6/5): OK but room for improvment - All OK just!! room noisy from outside and smelt musty but was not very expensive. Shame they do not have a room refresher so it smelt nice and would have been better on a higher floor due to passing traffic noise.
- garytK5745BY (2/5): Worst Premier Inn We have Visited. - Never had a problem with Premier Inn and always look forward to their breakfast. We've just stayed at Lincoln Canwick. If there is a worse Premier Inn, I hope I never visit it. Grotty room; breakfast, when you were lucky enough to get anything, was appalling; just about everything ran out, be it bread, juice, or butter, and the wait for replenishment was interminable. The cooked breakfast, when available, was undercooked as the staff struggled to keep up. In fact, there was not enough staff for the number of guests. We wanted to complain at reception, but no one was there. Never again.
- dion74 (10/5): Excellent service and location - Great place to stay. Ten minute walk to Mathew Street, 15 minute walk to the docks. Hotel was great, a typical Premier Inn. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.
- Lauren58234 (2/5): Wouldn't Stay Again - Appalling stay - we've never experienced a Premier Inn like this. Clearly understaffed which does not excuse the rudeness from one member of staff at check in and breakfast.
Don't bother with breakfast, we waited 20 mins for clean plates and for food to arrive. When we tried to ask, we were told 'I'm too busy you'll have to wait' before we could even get our query out. The member of staff then walked off. We ended up getting a refund for both days as we didn't have it in us to rejoin the still stationery queue.
Room was scruffy (scuff marks on walls and botched DIY), sink didn't drain and toilet didn't flush properly.
- sarahgO5110IS (6/5): Good location but not the best overall - Stayed at lots of Premier Inns previously. Room and hotel as expected. Friendly staff. Temp controls in the room were not working.
Breakfast booked in advance and unfortunately was the worst experience we have had in many years of using Premier inn. Only 2 staff working so was impossible for them to keep everything replenished. Had to wait 25mins to be seated and then waited for everything....clean cups, plates, hot food, juice and milk. They had no jam or croissants. Very poor.
- Ronny (6/5): - Rummet var inte klart vid incheckning 15:00
- Knightofthesky (6/5): Helpful staff, your experience may vary depending on which room you get. - Firstly I couldn't fault the staff - very helpful and friendly. Car parking can get short on busy days so arriving early is a must.
The hotel has been extended multiple times from its original construction we stayed in room 11 for our first stay (original building) and room 28 for our second (c. 2007/8 extension)
Our first stay was fine, no complaints, but our second really pushes home the need for Whitbread to update & refurbish this tired part of the building. It's very dated, with just one plug by the bed (city centre Prem. Inn has a plug with USB ports either side of the bed) the metal bath in the bathroom is showing signs of rust, the bath sealant is curling back and the general lighting in the room could be improved but one big positive that made us come back to Canwick over the City Centre Prem. Inn was the fact you can open the windows (albeit just a little bit) rather than just relying on air conditioning alone.
The food is ok but expensive, avoid upgrades. The drinks are unlimited refills but you need to request the refill - you're best off going to the bar directly rather than wait for table service
- MidLifeButNoCrisis (2/5): The most worn- out and damp Premier Inn I have stayed at - Lincoln Canwick hotel. Room 30
Worn out room, lots of loose bits and pieces.
Toilet did not flush properly
Freezing cold ... and filthy fan heater so did not dare use (too many diseases in there).
Bed initially felt as cold as though no-one had used it for months.
After a while in bed it began to feel damp as well
Got home next day - wife immediately smelled the robe - "this stinks of damp"
This is not a matter of a "cold night" - it is clearly a serious error that appears to have been tried to cover up with a pungent smell of mens' deodorant prior to my arrival.
YUK!
- F4488SDpaulg (10/5): 4 day break - Absolutely brilliant nothing more to say a big massive thank you to linda xxxx always a pleasure 😀 all the staff are a credit to premier inn thankyou to emma, Ryan, Charlie, matt, teigan, john aron ,sorry we missed Ryan H hopefully we'll be back in may xx Paul and deb
- I5369CYbillb (6/5): Great location - Pleasant stay. Great location, clean and mostly very pleasant staff. Shame about the tall chap on breakfast, rude, unhelpful and needs some urgent customer service training!
- ocassionaltraveller4 (10/5): An Excellent Example of a Good Premier Inn - This Premier Inn is situated in the city, and is within a reasonable walk to all the tourist spots, (about 5/10 mins) to the Waterfront, Pier Head and Three Graces. About the same amount of time to Mathew St (The Cavern Club). There is no parking on site, but ample parking directly opposite in an NCP Multi Story carpark, where you get discounted parking. (It was £9 for 24 hours when we went - October 2025). Just ask at the Premier Inn reception desk to validate your NCP ticket.
We had the meal deal purely for convenience and the food was amazing. The evening meal we had was good quality and presented beautifully. There appeared to be an issue the next morning, as we overheard a member of staff saying there was no chef that morning, but I wouldn't have guessed if I hadn't heard him say so, as there was plenty of well cooked breakfast and continental breakfast choices available, when we went down.
The staff were all friendly and accomodating, the room was comfortable and clean and everything you would expect for a Premier Inn, but in my opinion the food in the restaurant was really good, and better than I have had in other Premier Inn restaurants.
- P2030AKanns (10/5): Enjoyable - Stayed overnight (Sunday, 12 Oct). Managed to pay £15 for an early check-in at 11am, which suited us so we could be on our way for the day. The room was lovely and clean with crisp white bedding. Everything in the room was in good working order. Tea/coffee facilities, extras in the foyer if required. The bathroom was neat and tidy with white towels. Parking near to the hotel is a bonus too, remember to get your ticket stamped at reception. Will definitely book again the next time we are in Liverpool. Can recommend Golf Fang for a fun couple of hours, walkable from the hotel.
- janiced329 (10/5): Over night stay. - Enjoyable stay. Lovely staff very friendly & helpful. Good wet room & spacious room, easy access. Very warm clean & comfortable. Food very good plenty of choice. Easy check in.
- juliegJ2961TW (6/5): Could have been better - Location is far away from where we needed to be but had stayed before. The hotel its self is ok to be honest. It was the first time using self check in, very easy to do. Our room was ok, no shower gel and barely any hand wash. It looked like it hadn't been hoovered either. It would have been value for money if we'd had everything we needed. We weren't really in ou room enough for it to effect our stay. Quiet.
- angeladN3491KV (10/5): Excellent location - Excellent location with free parking. Comfortable bed and loved the extra pillows. We used the on-site Beefeater for limitless breakfast, highly recommend.
- jasonwG6325YG (8/5): basic - The room i had was good, but the hotel is very run down & needs a refurbishment. The staff were great & think the guy during the night was Jason. He was friendly and helped me with a slight problem/issue.
A good location, just outside the city. Fine for a short stay in general.
- J_Craine279 (10/5): Lovely stay - Really pleasant and comfortable stay. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were happy to help us when we asked for guidance / advice / help.
Only downside was that the free WiFi was a bit slow but I’m trying to find fault
We enjoy staying here for this reason
- 12lynnf (6/5): Not worth the £200 I paid - Room was cold even though I had the heating on all night. Booking in was ok even though when I booked the room via the call center I was told I could pay part cash part card not told i needed ID. For the price I paid I woud expect free breakfast and parking. The room as clean and big enough for my needs, whist at a training course we had a coffee break and I asked a tall guy with glasses for some cups andhe shouted at me you'll have to wait they are in the dish washer and we are short staffed. Another paying customer also asked for ome plates and he was also shouted at by the same staff member and because a shouting match. We also asked for some water for the training course and was told wont be getting any.We waited 15 minutes for some one to empty the dishwasher wich was finishing the cycle when I asked for cups
- jackied974 (10/5): Excellent!! - Can't fault anything about this place. The staff, rooms and food were tops.
5 stars all round.
We'll definitely be going back!!
- Q5325UJjanp (10/5): Brilliant - Bogdan is an absolute diamond who pulled our all the stops to help us find our running shoes we left behind - cannot praise him and the team enough
- Pete2012_12 (10/5): Happy with this hotel will stay here again. - Good location, easy to walk to the city centre, car park across the road at a good price, a good price for a hotel in Liverpool.
- Earlybird37 (8/5): Eat elsewhere - Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.
Recommend using the Bomber Command cafe for breakfast rather than the Beefeater. We ate in both and the food was better and the surroundings much more pleasant at the Centre, which is only 5 minutes walk away and opens at 9.30.
- davosuzuki (6/5): High price for average facilities - Very average especially for the money, 400 quid for 2 rooms was ridiculous. Wouldn't mind but everything was very very average.
- keentrek (8/5): Good location. Friendly helpful staff - You get what you expect albeit, at an average £150 per night for a twin room, at a price. One duvet had large stains on it visible through the duvet cover but this was quickly sorted with apologies. All you can eat cooked breakfast was £10.99 per head in addition and selection was good. Well located just off the ring road and just on the edge of the city on a main route in. Room was clean and comfortable and beds comfy. The basic free WiFi was painfully slow but the better service internet came at a price which I wasn’t prepared to pay. In this day and age charging for WiFi is poor.
- marytheresam2022 (8/5): Central location and comfortable hotel - My son and I came away to see Deacon Blue and we stayed in the Premier Inn at Vernon Street nice big family room with decent size bathroom.... Actually is quite quiet been at the back of the building ....Good night's sleep & not a bad breakfast..Would recommend coming here as its central and right near to Liverpool one and plenty of eatiers and bus and train links...
- arthurtc2024 (10/5): good staff - Having just returned from premier inn lincoln in canwick hill I realized I forgot my electric toothbrush.I called them and received it back in just a few days. clean and great service premier inn thank you guys
- davidwU9284KU (2/5): So Much for “Good Night’s Sleep” Refund - On August 21st myself and three friends stayed at a Premier Inn in Liverpool for two nights. What ensued was a catalogue of problems, the worst being that on reaching the room, the toilet didn’t work. Five and a half hours later, after several complaints, and still with no working toilet, we were forced to repack our cases and move rooms. This at 10:45pm and long past my bedtime.
Premier Inn offers a full refund if you don’t get a good night’s sleep, however our problem apparently did not meet this criteria. Instead, it was classed as an “inconvenience” (did they mean no convenience?).
After lengthy email exchanges, I was eventually offered, as a “goodwill gesture”, free breakfasts and reduction in part on the room cost.
Not being an unreasonable person, I accepted this offer, however three weeks have now passed, and despite even more emails, I am still awaiting this refund. Apparently Premier Inn cannot find my credit card account details. I find this somewhat surprising as they certainly found them when I was paying for the room. I have now sent copies of my credit card statement, so you might ask how difficult can the repayment of an agreed refund be? I am convinced this is a deliberate customer relations tactic to delay and delay, in the hope that you finally give up.
Despite their advertising slogan “rest easy” and the promise of the good night’s sleep guarantee, I feel Premier Inn have little concern for customers or problems they encounter. Sir Henry, I suggest you find a more customer friendly company.
- K1511IKsteveb (4/5): A tired city centre hotel desperately needing some TLC - I frequently travel to Liverpool for work and as my normal hotel wasn't available booked at the nearby Premier Inn close to Moorfields Station. I generally like Premier Inns as you know what you are getting and they are keenly priced, but sadly this one fell short. Other reviews have commented on the lack of available staff and need to use the automatic check in and that was my experience. I found the machines less than intuitive, mainly because it wasn't immediately obvious to me how you set up your room key. The hotel itself looks very tired and is in desperate need of a refurb. My room itself was basic, the curtain rail was partly broken, the carpet looked to be about 30 years old, but otherwise standard fare for an older Premier Inn. The sound of footsteps constantly thudding across the floor on my first night wasn't welcome and another sign that this building is a little tired now. I stayed for three nights and despite leaving my card out for the room to be cleaned it didn't get cleaned once. I think that's pretty poor quite frankly. On leaving the hotel for the final time, again there were no staff handy and the box for depositing keys was on a board which was not immediately obvious. Liverpool is a thriving city these days which has really blossomed in recent years with many new buildings and restaurants. Against this backdrop the Moorfields Premier Inn really is a bit poor and desperately needs some money spent bring it up to the standard you would expect of a city that is known for its warm welcome.
- CValenti-Burr (6/5): One night stay - Stayed for one night while in Lincoln. This was one of the older premier inn’s and is in need of an update to stay in line with other hotels in the group. However, the staff are friendly and helped with a couple of questions. But as always you can count on a comfy bed for a good nights sleep and a good breakfast.
- Z8881IZlynnem (10/5): Amazing stay, and ryan was amazing - I would like to start by saying we all had a wonderful stay at the Premier inn Moorfields,
From the minute we got there ryan was amazing, I would definitely stay there again, thanks to ryan
- ccook5728 (10/5): Very good break - Have just returned from this hotel, we enjoyed our stay of 2 nights booked the meal meal and enjoyed the meals at the adjoining Beefeater. All staff were very friendly Natalia was very friendly in the reception.
- Andrea (6/5): - Personale scontroso.
- Carl (10/5): - Always stay here when in Liverpool. Staff are fantastic. Breakfast is great. Always recommend.
