Guest Reviews
- vestas (10/5): Great experience - I went to London with my son for his 21st Birthday.
Despite this being a central London high turnover hotel the staff were fantastic and very personable. The duty manager was lovely and she made it feel a very personal experience.
- G7538IDricharde (10/5): Great stay - Perfect hotel for events at the Business Design Centre or O2 Academy. Breakfast very good, made all the better by Alina and team.
- Maryob83 (10/5): Excellent location. - Amazing location on leister square. So close to the Christmas markets, we attended a show and just had a 5 minute walk. Close to Covent gardens. Tube station short walk. Surrounded by restaurants and so much to do. 20 minute walk to Oxford Street, or take the tube.
Staff were so friendly and helpful.
- Q2467INmonicac (6/5): Location is the best thing about hotel - Wonderful location. Ready for tubes and buses. No atmosphere in hotel but staff friendly enough. Room was ok but whole hotel looked tired. Tear in dining room carpet could prove a problem.
- E4442ZRgarethe (4/5): Windowless, convenient, pricey on weekends. - It has, this Hub By Premier Inn,
all the essentials: shower, bin;
substantial telly, lounge downstairs;
slightly iffy dryer of hair.
But one flaw that you ought to know:
half of its rooms have no window.
Its airconditioning is somewhat
lacking oomph, and leaves you hot
on sweaty summer London nights;
the lighting, piteously bright
sears eyeballs till they start to steam
when fumbled straight onto high beam.
The beds are small, tho benefit
from pull-out drawers to stash one’s s***;
but for two adults seeking rest,
they are a trial, a faff, a test.
The shower’s head is weirdly low
the curtain hooks drag awful slow.
It’s drizzle more than waterfall;
you’ll bang your head should you be tall.
The only seat is plastic hell
from Tokyo's cheapest love hotel.
In sum, it does what’s said on tin;
would I return? where to begin?
Located well twixt many park
where one can lounge until it’s dark;
because once back in Hub’s dark halls,
there are no windows, only walls.
Its pricing surges on weekends
preclude us ever being friends.
Machine-dripped "coffee's" only sorta--
(double shot dumped into water).
In sum, it rates four out of ten;
I would not stay at it again.
- Le Hong (4/5): - Paid 252 pounds per night for a triple room. Stayed for 4 night and enjoyed none of the nights. Room was really small and none of our luggages could open up in full. Even half opening them is a real challenge. We ended up hopping around in the room just to get around. Room is dated, shower has molds and stains, shower screen has disgusting moldy and rusting stains. Wash basin is also dirty the see thru hole with rusted with visible brownish thick coat of slime just makes you want to leave the bathroom. The toilet bowl looks old and yellowed.
Do note that this is really an Inn and NOT a hotel as advertised and categorised. There is no fridge, no safe box, no phone to connect to reception, no toiletries and no proper reception. Everytime you’ll need help, you gotta head down to the tiny receptionist desk that is 100% of the time not mended and you’ll have to press that miserable bell and start waiting for someone to show up.
For this property, you’re really just paying for the location and nothing else. But at least, the bed is comfortable…. Still, the other downsides have just made it really difficult to enjoy my stay with this property.
Awarded 2 stars - 1 for location (which I totally paid for) and another star for the bed. Period. Will not return.
- 239jemmac (10/5): Best Budget Hotel In Central - Lovely hotel in the heart ot marylebone - clean and quiet - great noise proof rooms so you cant hear the old marylebone road. Nice breakfast. Good sized beds and great lighting. Complementary water throughout the stay. Tidy rooms, tidy foyer, friendly staff. Easy and quick to check in. Very secure and safe. Would reccomend 10/10
- SuzTel (10/5): London stay - Fantastic location, Will definitely stay again, so near to Sadlers We
Ls and the Union Chapel if visiting, also Islington business centre. Shops are great and easy acres in to Central London.
- Kenneth1960 (10/5): Well located hotel - I like the location, clean and comfortable accommodation ( handy for public transport). Great service from the staff.
- Sightseer51139241622 (10/5): A London's hidden jewel : a good night at Premier Inn Angel Islington ! - Once again, we received a very, very warm welcome from the Premier Inn's crew, many thanks to Gurdy & her friendly colleagues, you are the best ones !!
Excellent room & bed, very good location in a nice neighborhood at 5 min from St Pancras station with the Northern Line.
Free wifi could be better (it switch off systematically when you don't use it for some minutes)
- P9539UBrogerb (10/5): A pleasant night's stay - Easy walk from Marylebone station. I was welcomed and checked in quickly and efficiently.
My room was clean and quiet
Good value for money
I would have liked a window I slept well
- paknik-riley (10/5): Amazing place and food - What an amazing and wonderful experience here!! The restaurant was ace and the food was SPOT ON!! Both Francesco and Gurdy were extremely warm and friendly throughout!!! Such cheerful staff at 9pm!!! They suggested the meal deal to save me money and Gurdy was so happy the whole time !!! Made my horrible journey disappear and enjoyed a meal alone with your amazing staff
- C1311BLbenc (10/5): GURDY! - First time at this hotel and fancied a night cap, I met Gurdy, she was welcoming and very accommodating! ………………………………..
- I4071PHjasonf (10/5): Excellent helpful staff - Excellent service from Gurdy and francesco they were both so helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t do enough for us ., we would stay again here .
- Morten (8/5): - -
- R4133NEsamv (10/5): A good place to stay - I have been visiting Premier Inn Islington for a couple of years (every couple of months) now and I have been meet warmly, especially by two employees, Gurdy and Francesco. Both of them are exemplary employees and accommodating. I appreciate the warmth and kindness that they have shown me. They are both fine people..
They are the reason I return to this hotel.
- E9795VHdanielaa (10/5): Great - Very great place, the current price is right for the services and the area. The personnel is polite and willing to help. Everything is clean. Highly reccomend
- gwenb426 (10/5): Great location and friendly staff - Great location and helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are snug but perfect for a short stay. Nice touch to offer complimentary tea and coffee too,
- martinsL6556SX (10/5): A very pleasant stay - The hotel is very conveniently placed right in the centre of London near all the major theatres etc and is only a few minutes walk away from Leicester Square Tube station so is easy to access. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Access was by lift from the ground floor up to reception and various level. Access and lifts were controlled by the roomy key so security was good. Overall management was very efficient and friendly . The rooms were quite small with limited hanging facilities for clothes but very clean and well prepared and more than adequate for a short stay. Despite being in a very lively and busy area the rooms were very quiet. The walk in shower was excellent with plenty of hot water. There was. a limited but adequate bar service. We had breakfast there on one day which was very good. Hot and cold food and a wide choice of cereals, yoghurts, unlimited coffee etc. Although they are available we did not have an evening meal. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.
- laurep549 (10/5): Perfect hotel in every way! - Our stay was simply perfect! Huge room, tastefully decorated and kitted with everything one might require; totally insulated from noise and light; very efficient air con; super comfortable bed; spacious bathroom with great shower; and finally delightful and friendly staff.
- iangI1214HI (10/5): Great hotel for London stay - Perfect location and great little hotel , right in the centre of everything you could need , tube station is literally a 5 min walk away and staff are super helpful
- AlisonEvans (4/5): A good scrub is needed for this one! - On arrival, we found the entrance and lift to be dirty. Dirt on the floors, lift walls stained and sticky. Receptionist not particularly welcoming. Reception area untidy with all sorts of items leaning against walls etc. We walked through the "restaurant" area to go to the toilet. That was dirty too. The floor was sticky and there were still food crumbs and smears on the central buffet from breakfast. The toilets were revolting. The ladies obviously hadn't been cleaned since heaven only knows when - the toilet bowl was crusted and the floor had splashes and visible dirt. There were also stains/smears on the walls. I went to use the disabled toilet instead and that wasn't much better. My husband said the gents was fairly awful too. The passage way to our room was dirty – bits of paper, wrappers, mud/soil. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in quite a while. On first glance, our room seemed clean but the bathroom wasn’t great. The basin’s overflow was black with dirt/mould and around the plug hole was too. Neither the shower nor the basin drained properly and I had to wait to shower after my husband so that we didn’t flood the bathroom. There was only one of each towel despite booking for 2 people. We requested another but that never arrived. The shower rail was dirty with smears and watermarks. There were visible stains on the headboard and curtains too. The hairdryer didn’t work properly and kept switching off during use. Thanks to the obvious lack of hygiene we avoided using the kettle and decided to skip breakfast despite having paid for it. The receptionist wasn’t particularly concerned when we informed her of this at checkout. Overall, a very unpleasant and disappointing experience.
- isai363 (10/5): Lovely morning staff very helpful - Its a very nice atmosphere easily to get to places from there nice breakfast nice staff im happy to visit and stay and i will be coming back
- W9352TDpeterl (8/5): Good hotel. Bad smell - The hotel is a perfectly good Premier Inn. Well connected to underground and bus routes. If you are offered one of the rooms in the fifth floor be aware that there is a powerful smell along the corridor. Which other guests we spoke with said was not a one off. IDK what the problem is but for central London prices the hotel really needs to sort it out.
- Sightsee67816961238 (10/5): A gem in the heart of London - We expected a very small room with small bed and limited facilities. The reverse .. large bed good linen. Great shower and soft towels. Special place for case under the bed. No disappointments at all. All staff pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the icing on the cake. We ll be back.
- L6710HKahmeda (10/5): Premier Inn - Great staff very welcoming enjoyed my work stay
Chef Alina was very nice.
Gurdy & Gizem Night Team
They are the elite members of the team an asset to the company
- 297derekj (10/5): Best of the best. - We were parading as veterans at the cenotaph so premier Inn at Leicester Square was superb. The staff team worked their socks off keeping all the old military vets happy and deserve a medal of their own. The rooms were clean and very quiet even with all the noise from the Christmas market.
- Takeshi (2/5): - しよ
- gotw2020 (10/5): So welcoming. - Home from home, 250 miles from Accrington all because of Gurdy + Dan.
Straight talking, friendliest hosts I've ever met.
- C3893ROcarolinew (2/5): Bad Bathroom Smell!! - The location of this hotel is great, its just a shame that our experience of staying here was so bad. We booked a premier plus room (room 406) which was a nice size and looked clean and tidy on arrival however this changed after returning from our night out. There are definitely issues with the drains at this hotel. The smell from the bathroom was appalling. We managed to get rid of the smell after running taps and the shower for a while. I thought it had gone but the following night was just the same so we did the same thing by running taps and the shower. I reported this to reception the next morning and complained when I returned home but Premier Inn think its ok to just say sorry and blamed me for not reporting it sooner. Dont make the mistake I did, ring reception even if its really late at night, even if it disrupts your evening when all you want to do is go to bed, otherwise you have to accept that paying £210 a night for a room and have to cover your mouth with a towel when using the bathroom is ok.
- Topofthepops (6/5): Dirty - Great location but definitely not the best Premier Inn I have stayed in probably the worst for cleanliness.
Staff really helpful and try their best it’s just a dirty hotel that needs some serious renovation.
We had a premium room and it was horrid not appealing at all. Carpet full of stains, paint peeling and the view of a wall from the window.
Would not stay here again.
- Amber (10/5): - Nice location!
- MelFletch49 (10/5): Great experience - Really good location for what we needed. I was looking for a cheaper alternative but with the many views/reviews you kind of know what you are getting with Premierinn! I don’t recall having a bad experience using one so opted for this! As always the bed was comfy, the room was clean and warm and the staff were lovely!! Total winner for London!
- 33grahamm (10/5): Good City Break Hotel - I enjoy the Hub brand and the hotel made a great base for the city. The compact room has a comfy bed, good shower pressure and I liked the view across the city.
The breakfast was decent and good value and I enjoyed the complimentary access to hot drinks throughout the day
Staff were friendly and helpful.
- kenuvan (10/5): Great first experience of the Hub. - This was the first time of trying the Premier Inn Hub and I was sceptical initially. After seeing the rooms online I thought it may be a little small and cramped.
How wrong I was. We went for the larger hub room and there was plenty of space. All that is normally expected of a Premier Inn but at a cheap price.
The room was comfy, bathroom clean and large enough with an exceptional shower.
Breakfast was excellent for only £8 and also free coffee in the bar at anytime. I much prefer this to having the kettle in room.
- jabber2252 (2/5): Noisy nightclub..! No sleep..! Rude Management..!! - Stayed Saturday 11th October. Horrendous experience.
Don’t stay here if you want to be able to sleep..!
Thudding from nightclub music connected to hotel reverberated through our room till past 3 AM.
Complained to Nightstaff who said it’s a common occurrence and even had a WhatsApp group set up with the nightclub! Asked if we could move to a higher floor to try and stifle the noise but declined.
Spoke to Duty Manager and Manager next morning, they were rude, dismissive and unhelpful. Just told us to complain online.
So complained online, got a reference number and an initial acknowledgement and then absolutely nothing since!
Totally ruined our wedding anniversary trip.
- Compass44512085988 (10/5): Mina and Arun made the stay a delight - Very fine experience. Great staff. Helpful. We want to highlight Mina who is a joyful person and very attentive. She could train all the Hub hotels on how to be! Also we appreciate the care and consideration of Arun who helped in myriad ways. When we return we hope to see them again.
Definitely try the breakfast, top notch!
- 1206hayleyb (10/5): Great location - 1 night stay.
Great location.
We walked to London Eye and the theatre from here with no trouble.
Breakfast was good.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Easy check in and iut.
No issues.
Much better than some more expensive hotels. In fact I may start booking here much more often.
- G6661SEstevew (10/5): Excellent stay - Stayed two nights Hub Marylebone, very pleased with all aspects of this Hotel, although the rooms are not large they have everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
The breakfast was very good for a very reasonable cost.
The Bar area in the hotel is also very good also.
I would certainly recommend this for a place to stay in London.
- SteinN19 (10/5): A sentral Hotel with good service - Exelent service. The room had everyting you need. Good breakfast t
Gave a good start on a busy day. A couple of minutts to the underground.
- angiem939 (8/5): Great overnight stay - but more towels please! - My partner and I decided on an overnight stay as we had things to do in London on the Saturday and Sunday, so rather than go home we decided to book a hotel. On the whole the experience was really good. We were only in the hotel briefly to get changed from travelling and then to sleep. The location was great and we both liked the room. It was nice and quiet at night and we both slept really well. The staff were very welcoming when we arrived.
The only downside we felt was that the booking was for 2 people, however there was only 1 big towel in the room. We didn't notice that until the following mornning unfortunately and neither of us wanted to go down to reception to ask for another one so we ended up using the same towel between both of us which wasn't idea. We did look in obvious places in the room to see if there were any extra's. So please, if the booking is for 2 people, please provide 2 lots of towels.
Otherwise a great hotel and one we will be using again.
- juliesG4378KM (2/5): Less than budget hotel charging premium rates - No heat in the room. The key scanner outside to allow access isn’t working. Shabby, no manager at weekends for serious issues - was trapped in a lift and shouted at by staff for banging on doors to be let out. Nobody offered assistance or comp Guest relations weekday 9-5 only. Honestly horrible experience. Don’t use.
- elizabethmE8695BS (10/5): Excellent and welcoming stay - Welcoming friendly staff and very clean room. Stayed for 5 nights and the reception area was always spotless. Rokeya and Rodica were both particularly helpful and worked very hard even late at night to look after everyone.
- Murrium (10/5): - Wonderful room. Delicious beakfast and helpful staff
- 290rob (10/5): A pleasant stay. - I've stayed here twice recently, just for one night, and it has been a pleasant experience both times. This time I was allocated an excellent room with a view over the City of London, with the Shard in the distance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with everything you need.
My reception from Francesco and Eugenia was first class, friendly and professional. My breakfast from Georgiana and Alina was delicious. Highly recommended.
- Anja (10/5): - Incredibly nice and helpful staff. Great location with the underground and some bus stops only a few minutes away, as well as shopping opportunities and restaurants. None of the noise from the busy city makes it to the room, as the windows are filtering it all out. Beds are decently firm from my experience. Would recommend!
- Colby (8/5): - Location was great. Carpet in the room appeared ready for a good cleaning or replacement (it would be OK to have a decent grade vinyl plank flooring instead). The nightly room price varies day to day, but overall for the six days it was reasonable compared to some of the other closeby hotel. We chose the add-on breakfast buffet option, which turned out to be a good choice.
- Scotmum1 (10/5): Ideal for family sightseeing - Excellent location sightseeing and close to local shops and restaurants if you choose to eat out. 2 mins from Angel underground so very easy to get into central places of interest. Ideal room for small families. Good selection at breakfast overall.
- Sightsee01852283903 (10/5): Second time around. - For me my second visit and won’t be the last.
This hub is located well for everything. Buses and tube are local. Good eateries and museums close by and excellent. neighbourhood.
Staff here are amazing and will do anything at all for you.
Rooms are lovely, although no tea and coffee in the rooms, always available downstairs 24/7.
Very clean rooms. Breakfast is great and plentiful.
We had a room on the top floor and were fortunate enough to have good weather so the views across London were fantastic.
- tinacJ7224JS (10/5): Breakfast at the premier was a amazing! - Angel team were amazing this morning. We had a breakfast booking drama and they sorted it out for us and were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here again! Thank you very much for your help today.
- 550mercyh (10/5): Thank you Georgie Marie James! The attention and care you show in your work will make me come back again and again - Generous and kind staff, who went beyond the usual to make us feel welcome. They genuinely cared about our experience, making sure our stay was seamless. This affected the quality of our whole day!
- vsM7389IN (10/5): Great customer service - Another great stay at Premier Inn. Big shout out to Gurdy, Lina and team for going above and beyond! That's why we keep coming back.
- vaniyam2025 (10/5): Lovely stay - Staying at the hub was such a fantastic experience, especially with the late-night bar. The drink options were plentiful, and I really enjoyed trying them out. The atmosphere was vibrant, making it easy to unwind and have a good time. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a fun night out.
- Jchurchill_15 (10/5): Great place to stay - Me and my partner stayed here for two nights and I cannot recommend it enough. The rooms are compact yet spacious at the same time everything is laid out perfectly. The room was clean and everything was new and in good condition. Really good vibes from the lounge/bar area especially as they have free coffee from a bean to cup machine whenever you want it. We were worried that because of the small rooms it would be noisy however I did not hear anybody all night extremely quiet and all the doors are soft closing to avoid slamming. Lovely stay highly recommend.
- alanatabz (8/5): Great location - few downsides - Stayed here with friends for a weekend, the location is great and in the middle of Leicester Square
The hotel room was fine, although only one lift was working, which was a bit inconvenient
The doorway is quite small, and you can mistake it for a club next door. As it's a non-smoking hotel, smokers stand outside the door, and you run the gauntlet of smoke!
- 896stewartp (10/5): Have the breakfast!! - Good value, delicious all you can eat breakfast, comfortable bed, great location. Would definitely stay here again!!
- olwenm2014 (10/5): Excellent staff! - Staff were excellent - Team Angel's Georgie was super helpful and couldn't have been nicer when asked for assistance.
I'd love to know whose idea it was to have beds so high you need a ladder to get in and out!
- 210keelyr (10/5): Superb stay - We stayed here as we were visiting Wembley for a concert. It’s a great location, 5 minutes walk from Marylebone and 9 minutes direct train to Wembley stadium. The hotel was fantastic, clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a larger double room on the 5th floor. An easy walk into the lovely Marylebone village with their fab deli’s and shops. Staff were polite and efficient. First time in a hub hotel and would definitely stay again and recommend.
- E8597NWleew (6/5): 2 Day Trip to London - Leicester Square - Premier Inn - Hotel room clean and tidy although a little cramped compared to previous stays in same hotel, but this time we were on the top floor and these seem to be smaller rooms. Reception services good although stretched with numbers coming and going. Only thing which spoiled visit was poor hot water pressure on 8th floor - top. On both mornings we struggled to have a shower due to poor hot water pressure in our room - would come on and go off frequently even after being run for a long period.
Location is great though and on previous visits, aside from lifts, reception staff and accommodation/food have always been good.
Noticed menu has now been reduced further for main meals, which is disappointing, so our next stay may be in another hotel.
- Drwhogirl1997 (10/5): Labone is a treasure - Had a wonderful time at this hotel for my birthday. The staff were all so lovely and helpful but a special shout out to Labone who made my birthday extra special by giving me a complimentary Prosecco!
- CowellLJ1964 (10/5): Excellent Stay - Just spent 3 nights on business and yes the hotel is a little tired but the location/staff/breakfast and value spot on,great night's sleep with no noise from the very busy Leicester Square.Would definitely stay again Thanks x
- stephenfX6239LV (6/5): Looks can be deceiving - Great location for tube, theatres and central London.
Internal hotel decor was a bit jaded. Premier plus room just didn’t live up to the price expectations, no view. Door had daylight gaps in it, carpet stains. No opening window. 1 working lift.
Breakfast great, evening meal so so.
- Shropshire1234 (6/5): Basic - We stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a theatre trip to London. Its perfectly situated for all of the shops, theatre's and restaurants. A tube station is literally around the corner.
The lifts were broken when we got here so we had to lump our cases up 2 flights of stairs to the reception and then a further 2 flights to get to our floor. No one offered us any help. The room is basic, tea and coffee facilities and a TV. Air con works too. There was a liquid hand soap in the bathroom and an all-in-one wash in the shower that was supposed to be for hair too. The shower did not empty and filled up with water quite quickly so you couldn't hang about in there. (407), it took about 30 minutes for it to drain. I did mention it when we left.
The lifts worked spasmodically, I went in at floor 4 to go down to the ground floor and ended up going to 8 - 6 - 4 - 8 - 2 before it would let me out. (There was no one else using the lifts at that time).
I think the whole place is a bit tired and could do with a spring clean.
We didnt eat there so I cant comment on the restaurant.
- beans679 (4/5): Great location, not so great hotel - We have stayed in several Premier Inns and apart from the location this was one of the worst.
The location is great, just off Leicester Square, near to a tube station and nearby to lots of local attractions, bars and restaurants.
We stayed for a weekend - Check in was straightforward - we were given a room on the eighth floor. Our room was small, barely enough room to walk around the bed and very little storage room.
The bathroom was ok but the shower was adequate at best and kept turning itself on at random.
There are only 2 lifts and these were out of action for most of our stay. Although we were able to negotiate 8 flights of stairs I witnessed others less mobile really struggle.
We didn’t get our room cleaned on the Saturday and no explanation or apologies. I can only guess that as the lifts were out of order housekeeping couldn’t get to the 8th floor.
We didn’t eat here but did have a couple of drinks which were reasonably priced.
Our room was initially hot but there is air con although we couldn’t open a window. Although in a busy location we weren’t affected by noise.
- L1330ILgeorgiar (4/5): Not like our usual stay in Premier Inn - We always stay in Premier Inn, but we were unimpressed this time. We got given a room and when we went in, it hadn’t been cleaned. The rubbish was still in the bin, old bedding and towel and dirty dishes. Had to go back downstairs and wait another 15 minutes in reception to be given another room. The staff were helpful but didn’t apologise with the inconvenience. It’s my husbands 40th and we were not impressed with the premier plus room. There was little bars of chocolate in the fridge, and one of them was open. We had only 3 coffee pods to use, and 1 milk. 1 teabag, and 2 sugar. This was simply not enough. We understand there was more downstairs but only the PG tips and not the Pukka teabags that were in the premier plus room. There were stains on the carpet and stains on the tray on the table.
