Guest Reviews
- 430lynner (8/5): One Small Suggestion - Room excellent; nice bed, BUT in a very good shower there was NO GRAB HANDLE
Necessary as all users, old and young, can slip.
- avroramorgenstern (4/5): Disgusting molded bathrooms, rude staff, noisy train station, convenient location in a sketchy area - Location is convenient if you need something close to the train station.
The front desk staff is incompetent and rude. The worst experience. Zero alignment and understanding of internal regulations on the front desk level. Total inability to communicate in a professional friendly manner, zero problem solving mindset and complete absence of basic communication skills. Bathrooms are disgusting filled with mold and bathtubs clogged with hair and slime. Trains outside are loud and if you have kids or not used to sleeping in a noisy environment - good luck falling asleep. We had to close the window, it was too hot and still loud. The area is sketchy.
Definitely not worth the money spent.
- 316dawnp (10/5): Perfect location - Great location, warm welcome and room comfy and very clean. Staff so friendly and a lovely well cooked breakfast too. Would definitely recommend
- Steemson (10/5): An most enjoyable 2-night city break - Excellent city centre location. The lifts in the near by car park gave easy access to the central area, Cathedral, shops etc.
- Cruiser579169 (10/5): Great experience in Durham - Just had a super weekend in Durham visiting our daughter at University. The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, great value, with easy access to parking nearby. Ella was especially helpful during our stay.
- aletheah2024 (8/5): Lovely - We stayed here for a few days very recently. The staff were super friendly and amazing. Despite it being in an entertainment area it was quiet, relaxing and near local attractions.
I’m not sure if we got a dodgy one but we both thought our bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable despite having a topper. We have stayed at another PI and that bed was like a cloud.
The only gripe I would have, and it’s not just this location, is not having individual pricing for breakfast, just all you can eat, I have an extremely small appetite and would only want a bowl of cereal or 2 slices of toast and I don’t want to pay £9 for that.
- michaelpP9307UR (6/5): Cold room - The room was cold, not unbearably so but not pleasant either. We turned the thermostat up expecting the room to warm up during the night but it was still cold.
I mentioned it at the desk in the morning, the lady just said we should have contacted them during the night so they could sort the problem. She wasn't interested didn't even take the room number to get it sorted for the next occupant. Very disappointed.
- MaryLou (10/5): - Very nice
- James (10/5): - Located not too far from all the Durham City Downtown attractions. Rooms were nice, clean, and in very good condition. Breakfast was excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming.
- 34linseys (6/5): Couples City Break - Four nights stay . Hotel in good location right next to main station. We were on the 5th floor room quiet and clean. Downside - you have to request room cleaning daily, unfortunately even though we requested this in the morning, on our return we found it hadn’t been cleaned we had to go down reception to request clean towels. The same can be said for tea/coffee tray it was not replenished daily. Bar staff very helpful.
- SallyNorthampton (10/5): Excellent hotel, would recommend it. - The location was excellent, half way between the station and the city centre. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The selection of food available at breakfast was also very good and everything was fresh.
- amandahP7082FC (10/5): Loved it! Felt relaxed & comfortable in the room & gorgeous breakfast - Excellent stay, Very friendly staff, great location, room was really welcoming, warm & cozy. From start to finish a great experience
- dietcokebabe3 (8/5): Get away - Location was perfect, nice clean room and breakfast was good, not a choice on tea tray and no biscuits so take your own munchies also drinks very expensive
- Amanda (8/5): - Good location, nice rooms and bar. Very friendly staff. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.
- Belinda (4/5): - Poor WiFi.
- Mark (10/5): - Thank you, Premiere Inn, our overnight stay was perfect and easily could stay longer, to accommodate our family of 4. It was clean, the staff were friendly, resourceful and accommodating. If you have lots of luggage, it is better to catch a cab from the rail station. Only £5-€12 because it's close but hilly.
The breakfast was delicious and good value. Durham is beautiful and charming with so much character.
- 478annief (10/5): Centrally located, great welcoming staff! - What a fabulous Premier Inn! Centrally located, car parked for 3 days and with the voucher cost £24 - not bad for a city car park - and it was safe!
Chris, the duty manager, was wonderfully welcoming and on finding out it was our wedding anniversary, sent up a little gift! Breakfasts were superb and kept topped up. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our room 408 was spotless. Thank you - you contributed to a great city break.
- O9296TEsm (4/5): ONLY WENT FOR FOOD .... NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE - We did not stay there but only went for a meal . Curry too hot I could not eat it so only ate the chips, my hubbys Lasagna was not nice, he said the Lasagna sheets were soggy so not a good experience. I asked for a diet coke and was given Pepsi but when I complained she said I can get you something else so I ordered another soft drink, When she came back I was told it had been the last glass bottle of diet coke they had put in a Pepsi glass But when did a 200ml bottle of coke fill a 450 pepsi glass with about 3 tiny bits of ice. Never but I was charged for both and even though I had not asked for a reduction in any way but she said I cannot give you anything off your meal as the chef said he did not add anything to the curry. So I guess like the former owners it maybe comes in pre cooked sachets and is only heated up by the kitchen staff Starters were nice but over £54 for 2 people It was definitely not worth it Very disappointed will not be back We used to go there a couple of times a week.
- U2041GCcaroliner (10/5): Great stay - Chris was friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay. Clean and quiet. Great bar and brilliant breakfast. Good location.
- lbo80 (6/5): Not great for business trips - PI is very popular but I find it just isn’t great for business trips so generally try to avoid. Unable to check in 15 mins early unless I pay £15, woeful internet for teams calls even with a paid for upgrade, and an uninspiring fatty and sugary “continental” breakfast. No fresh coffee, bread, meats, cheese etc. Staff offered porridge on one the data though. Interestingly quite different to the continental offer in European hotels. The shower was fine though the single sheet toilet paper is an interesting choice.
The bed and staff were okay.
- j0sephenew (10/5): Nice evening meal, nice breakfast, Great STAFF! - Just what we needed after doing the Great North Run. Special mention to the hotel manager SARAH. Who your staff said was the ‘BRAINS’ of the goodies for the runners. Thank you so much for that! We had fish bites and pizza for our evening meals ! Very tasty and efficent. Good service yesterday evening. Nothing was too much for the evening staff. Thank you Anthony and Shawnee for our breakfasts ! Mainly the poached eggs . Very tasty full English just what you need before a long drive home . Remember Anthony ! YOU’RE THE BOSS !
We will be back !!
- Steven (10/5): - Super friendly staff! Very convenient location to many things. Loved it. Will stay again.
- PaulineMcDonald007 (10/5): Very relaxed and welcoming - great place to stay - I highly recommend the Walker gate Premier Inn, the staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and they made our stay feel like a home from home, very relaxed and easy going. The food was great - all tasty with lots of choice at breakfast. The bar/dining area is very comfortable and cosy. The manager, Sarah, is lovely as we're all the staff we met Kim, Anthony & Colleen.
- pyelady (10/5): Great location, fab breakfast - A great location, everything you expect from a premier inn, parking is a multi storey right next door so does have a cost but you can get a voucher from the hotel reception to reduce the cost, breakfast is one of the best I’ve had at premier inn, I’d definitely stay here again
- Ejmet (10/5): Perfect location - We booked a new premier plus room for a night away as a couple.
Lovely room on the top floor. Air con, fridge with complimentary water, coffees machine and pods, luxury shower gels and hand wash, mini chocolates, ambient bedroom lighting. Just some of the extras that a normal room doesn’t have.
Nice central location with a car park next door that is discounted when staying at this premier inn. Close to plenty of bars, restaurants, the university, passport office and a short walk into the main centre with the shops, castle and cathedral.
Nice easy check in done on a machine on arrival. Very quiet surrounding area and when inside the hotel. When staying in Durham again we would certainly choose here and recommend to others.
- pspr0g (6/5): Loud railway air horns at 3am! - Just spent 3 nights here. The location is great, literally a 2 minute walk from the station.
The main issue was the random incredibly loud air horn type sounds emanating from trains at the station throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper they will definitely wake you up, and you're on your edge waiting for the next one. My room was facing the station so I guess it's quieter on the other side.
Room was largely fine. Two USB sockets by the bed, large TV, rainfall shower, aircon.
There's a large patio door sized window that didn't close properly (handle does not turn so no way to lock it shut).
Also, I had to have over my passport when checking in, but I'd already checked in via the app and entered the details there. Also, a male someone knocked on the door and barged at 10.30am on checkout day. Assuming housekeeping but check out isn't until midday...
So it's ok and the price was good for Gamescom week, just beware those airhorn noises at 3am!
- intrepidtravellerUk (10/5): One night in Durham - We have stayed at many a Premier Inn, which provides a high standard of accommodation at a reasonable price. It was therefore the choice for our first visit to Durham. it provided us with the usual high standard Premier Inn amenities together with exemplary customer service provided by Alison and Collen. The hotel is very accessible to Durham Cathedral and the town centre.
- R5958GIcp (2/5): A Good Night's Sleep, it was not - I was most disappointed in my 3 night stay in mid July. Despite Premier Inn's Guarantee of a Good Night's sleep, I did not get a good sleep at all during my stay.
The weather was hot and humid but the SystemAir air conditioning in the room was not working and the room was hot and stuffy.
This was reported to the receptionist the same afternoon after checking into the room. The member of staff did not seem concerned, acknowledge concerns or apologise. We were told that the SystemAir was only for central heating, this was incorrect. A friend in another room slept very well and her room was kept at an ambient temperature throughout her stay. We were offered sheets, told to use the (dusty) floor-standing fan and open the window. It was too noisy with the fan and the window open. We were not offered another room, but I realise the hotel may have been full.
It was a Friday afternoon but I would expect that important equipment would be repaired within at least 24hours but this did not appear to be considered or expedited.
We were not advised that we could lodge a complaint if we did not sleep well. This we only discovered when talking to friends who recommend Premier Inn and speak highly of them. When they stayed in London a few years ago, they also had a room with faulty air conditioning; they were given unlimited supplies of iced water, floor-standing fans and also given a refund.
Another issue was that there were no two-pin sockets for electric toothbrushes or electric razors in the rooms. The receptionist said that these were removed when the rooms were upgraded. The website did not appear to mention this.
The mattresses were comfortable but the room was too stuffy and hot to sleep well. The shower was good. There was limited space to hang clothes and just one drawer. There was no bedside table but there was just enough space on the bedside shelf for chargers to reach the USB port and sockets.
A nice touch was having a little shelf under the mirror by the entrance where the hairdryer was kept.
There was a reasonable choice of food for an evening meal and a wide selection of drinks, including tasty, hot chocolate. There was very limited comfortable seating to have a drink in the evening. Other seating and tables were where guests had breakfast, not very relaxing.
However I cannot fault the other staff at breakfast, behind the bar and other receptionists. They were attentive, hard working, very helpful and courteous. . The breakfast time was very busy but the staff were always smiling and nothing seemed to phase them. There was an excellent choice for breakfast, especially perfect poached eggs. The timers on the two dualit toasters I do not think were working properly, they took a while but at least the toast did not burn!.
Tea, coffee, milk and sugar sachets were available at any time for guests to help themselves.
From my experience I would be cautious about booking a stay at Premier Inn in future.
- philbA6685UW (10/5): Nice hotel, pleasant staff. - Well run hotel in a good location for both Dundee and Aberdeen. Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Food in Brewers Fayre next door was well prepared and quick to arrive.
- William T (8/5): - Good spot, very friendly cheerful staff - great breakfast.
- keithjB2632EG (10/5): Short visit to Durham. - The room was very spacious and comfortable . The staff were all friendly and efficient. The hotel was fairly central to the other amenities of the town.
- LancashireLass2023 (10/5): Premier Plus room a bonus - Great location with friendly helpful staff. It was also worth spending a bit extra for a Premier Plus room - really makes a difference if you're staying a few days (e.g. extra space, mini fridge, faster Wi-iFi and a quiet location in the building).
- Trip34761785687 (4/5): Rude management - On my arrival I had been met with a friendly face and had an amazing checkin as I was leaving the building to head to the restraunt I had heard the manager of the hotel say a ride and u professional comment to the reception member. This really disheartens me as people should not come to work and be spoken to like such from any member of staff especially the person who is meant to be setting example !
Apart from that lovely place to stay nice and quiet, good restaurant next door!
- Janey-Sue26 (10/5): Premier Inns are great! - Premier Inns are great! I like the reassurance that the room and hotel facilities are consistently good in every Premier Inn.
I also appreciate that most Premier Inns are quiet at night meaning a peaceful sleep.
Craig on reception was chatty so my check in was really friendly and welcoming.
Thank you.
- rajpalb2019 (8/5): Hotel at the city centre with great location - Hotel located the central location 2 min walk to the main station and lots of options available around it. Although rooms are equipped with minimal things, good breakfast in the morning. Overall I had a good time in the hotel. Recommend for the business travel.
- Ting2mm (8/5): For the Location, I would still stay with them - The location is quite near the hauptbahnhof which was our first priority in choosing the hotel. Second consideration is the price, it was lower than the 2 hotels next to it. We appreciate that we were allowed to check in before check in time. Having come from a total of 22 hour travel, we were able to crash and sleep for a few hours before going to a dinner meeting. We were booked 6 days, ate breakfast there for 4 days. Breakfast was exactly the same everyday. The lobby was nice with sofas and tables forming small groups. You can have short meet ups in the lobby if you're on business. No free water in the room, no minibar but there's a vending machine by the elevator. The bathroom partition was weird. I found it messy because of the wet floor. Toilet paper was hard and rough. No bidet but I think all hotels in Germany have no bidets.
The hotel is near the police station too with a taxi stand in front. And next to the police station is a great resto called the Block House.
Disliked · The movable/moving bathroom partition and boring breakfast.
- venierisa (2/5): Expensive hotel for cheap services - Expensive hotel for very cheap and low quality services. No cleaning of the room, no refrigerator to put a bottle of water or a fruit in it. Very basic breakfast. If you want to order something there is no phone in the room, you have to visit the restaurant and make in person the order!!!We don't recommend it at all. Very polite receptionists but that is not enough
- klimaytys (8/5): Comfortable no frills accommodation - First appearance the place looks great although the road in from an adjacent business park could be improved - the road passes by a drive in coffee business - it’s all very confusing and an accident waiting to happen. Once on hotel grounds there’s plenty of parking.
The hotel shares the site with a Brewers Fayre restaurant so it can be very busy at dinner time.
Hotel check in was easy enough, largely thanks to Kay who was a star. Our room was in the first floor and there are no lifts.
The room was spacious with a double bed and bed come sofa. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a decent view into a hillside with cows!
The bathroom only had a bath with a shower over it was all a bit dated. The step into the bath for a shower seemed a little risky as there were no grab rails.
The room was clean and the bed came with extra pillows.
The staff we met all seemed friendly but this hotel is all about you arrive? You sleep, you leave. No frills.
- L430JErachelp (6/5): Bedroom ok, bathroom unhygienic. - Arrived at 10pm after a 7 hour drive. Myself and young son. The lady on reception was super helpful and friendly. The room was cold but soon warmed up when the heating turned on. Bed comfortable and room tidy.
My issue was the bathroom. Pubic hairs on the floor of the bathroom and blood on the outside of the toilet and underneath the toilet seat is simply unacceptable.
- R2632JTzoeg (10/5): Great nights sleep - Stayed here recently on a business trip, rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Had a great sleep! Staff were all so helpful.
Shout out to Kevin, fantastic customer service!
What more can you ask for really? Will definitely stay again when back up this way :)
- Z9760OBjamesm (8/5): Very good - slight Easter differences at Duss Premier Inns - Would have been 5/5, but the City Centre Premier Inn surprised customers with a chocolate Easter gift outside their door (other relatives were at this hotel). They also had some small Easter eggs at breakfast. I repaired the bathroom pedal bin. One of the curtain fastenings has undone. Rainfall shower head (not used) probably needs a descale.
- gaye_mayger (10/5): Simply the Best - We stayed here on April 1st and 2nd 2025. We can highly recommend this Premier Inn, it is in a great location, close to the Hauptbahnhof and various means of seeing this lovely city.
We were made very welcome here, check-in was very speedy, the room was great, we booked a Premier Plus room, excellent! The lobby, bar and restaurant area were very cosy and welcoming. Anja served our drinks with a constant smile, her personality was warm and friendly at all times with all the customers. We look forward to returning again!
Well done, have visited many Premier Inns over the years but this one takes top prize!! Best wishes,
Gaye(Mayger) and John (Brazier)
- Donald2002 (8/5): Shame about the heated towel rails but otherwise 8/10 overall and 10 for value - We have stayed here once or twice a year for the past 20 years as we visit our daughter and her family. It's always been good value for money, and still is, but there's always been things we could moan about. We stayed three nights in room 3 for £180 excluding any food. The rooms are a good size, beds and linen are good, good TV and you have control of the rooms thermostat. However, none of the hotels heated towel rails are working and so we had damp towels, the hotel appears to turn down the rooms temperature from a central location at around 8:00am and so just watch out for that and you can turn it up again. There's enough hanging space, we even had a spare bed/sofa in our room which was ideal for unpacking/packing cases. Tea/coffee facilities are all good. We breakfasted one day in the adjoining restaurant and Michael did a good job of looking after us and it was super good value for money and the coffee is similar to Costa but much much cheaper.
- Pioneer03915432463 (10/5): Very pleasant stay - Loved my stay - staff at the Premier Inn Monifieth were lovely, room and bathroom was immaculately clean and the bed/pillows are just as the advert states - best night's sleep I have had in ages. I didn't book any meals in advance but had no problem getting a table for dinner or breakfast the following morning. The only thing I would say is that the breakfast was a bit overpriced - I had to pay £12.49 for toast and scrambled egg and I had to make my own toast. The quality of the food and drink was absolutely fine though.
- S3130CCjulieb (2/5): Falsely advertised as no working/activated air conditioning - This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. There was an issue with the room air conditioning on my last stay so I emailed before staying again and was told any issues were now rectified.
My first room had no working air conditioning so I moved room. Still the same problem. They do not activate the air conditioning in the rooms resulting in my room becoming too warm to sleep. As the hotel is next to the central train station it is too noisy to leave the window open.
Every day I informed the staff I had a night of no/very little sleep and they kept saying the air conditioning would be activated by the time I returned in the evening. It was false promises and I could not move hotels due to availability as there was a large exhibition taking place in Düsseldorf.
I stay in Premier Inns across the world and this is the only one I have encountered a problem. The staff were unhelpful and gave false promises daily. The Premier Inn good night guarantee sleep is rubbish as I had 5 nights of no/little sleep with no resolution or compensation.
- garycE5085SZ (6/5): Old fashioned dirty premiere inn - I stay in a lot of premier inn hotels with work , and personally think this hotel is the worse av stayed in it needs an upgrade asap , old heaters in the rooms give off really bad smell , the rooms are cleaned but feel dirty and the carpets I wouldn’t walk without shoes on never mind bare feet .
The staff are friendly and very helpful and the restaurant attached on to hotel is great , The problem is the outdated rooms and feeling dirty in them and rooms are also very cold even with heating on . Also the lock on the inside it’s a chain you would get in an old tenement , and the key is old school and has massive bit of wood hanging of it . (No key cards)
- RabeaM3 (10/5): Recommended - This is my second stay at this location. Very happy with our stay.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Clean room and spacious room.
Great location, but quiet at night.
Breakfast was a buffet and good selection.
Didn't stay for dinner.
Plenty of parking spaces available.
- AlbyOneGC (4/5): Premier Inn has changed. Sad - I've stayed at many Premier Inns before and never complained. This one left me disappointed.
Firstly, reception staff were efficient and delightful.
The room is as I expected, clean, comfortable bed, good-sized, everything worked.
Now the problems.
There was no housekeeping for my entire 3 night stay. No replenishing of tea and coffee, etc, no emptying of bins, no change of towels.
When I went to ask about getting a new towel, I noticed there was no phone in the room. I had to go to reception to get one. This wasn't an issue. I was given one immediately. However, to me, this is a serious health and safety problem. If a person falls over or is sick, they need to be able to contact reception urgently. Guests don't always have access to a mobile phone.
Finally, there is an issue with the electrical outlets near the bed. For some reason, you can't plug anything into them (photo attached). They seem to have been blocked. There is a USB port, which is half useful, but there needs to be more.
It's a shame their management are cutting back on basic services (staff) because Premier Inn used to be so much better. Hopefully, they'll realise their mistake.
- benjaminhZ4599JB (4/5): Premier it is not - I am struggling to understand why the word premier is used ,far from premier more like average inns . Dated , very poor condition bathroom was atrocious. Food next door awful crap repetitive menus.feel sorry for the staff who have to try and pull it off .
- craigsharp69 (2/5): Power trip - I have used Premiers Inns in the UK for family and business trips for years but after my experience in this hotel in Dusseldorf I will look to use other hotels.
After asking the bar staff a simple question the hotel manager intervened and raised his voice telling us he was sick of us coming in and taking over. This was my 1st time meeting him but my colleagues said they chatted with him the previous evening and he was fine so we were not sure what his comment meant.
Twice he was asked by my colleague who has worked in the hospitality sector for 20yrs why are you raising your voice.
We were not aware he was the manager so asked if we could talk to his manager. Again he answered in a raised voice and told us he was the manager and he would show us what he will do.
We took our drinks back to our partners who were sitting next the reception and tried to enjoy our evening, He stormed past us to the reception and slammed the door's behind him.
Within 10 minutes the police arrived and were talking to the manager, he then came over with the 3 police officers and pointed at my colleague and said he wanted him out of his hotel with 1 hour also he wanted me or my other colleague to leave too but wasn't sure which one was shouting at him ( for the record none of were shouting and this only happened a max 15 minutes earlier yet he wasn't sure who it was)
I asked the police if this was lawful and they replied the problem was between us and the hotel manager but if we didn't leave they would have to get involved.
We asked if we would be refunded as I was staying 1 more night and my colleagues were staying 2 and his answer was no and take it up with premier inn.
He then went away for about 5 minutes and came back and said I was the one shouting and wanted me out also within 1 hour ( the only thing I said at the bar was for my friend to forget it and let's get back to our partners)
I was actually sickened and embarrassed with what was happening to us in front of a packed lobby but could not see any other way this was going to change so we went up to our rooms and packed and left.
I have read a lot of reviews since this episode and the guys name comes up repeatedly across all review forums so it seems he does this thing regularly.
I do not know if the guy in question was having a tough day or was on a power trip but totally ruined our trip
- 258micheller (10/5): Excellent in every way - Excellent Hotel & Restaurant, we visited with 2 young people with additional support needs. We had everything that we needed in the hotel and it was also very quiet in the evenings which is a huge bonus.
Staff are all amazing and first impressions were definitely lasting.
Bedrooms absolutely spotless and bed linen crisp and immaculate, couldn't have asked for anymore. We all had a fantastic stay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Jeffortless (8/5): Good hotel, very clean, great breakfasts, questionable management. - Those of you familiar with UK Premier Inns will find the hotel and room layout familiar. Same comfortable mattresses as the UK, decent value, a good breakfast for a reasonable price, the usual things.
We stayed for 4 nights in a family room which was larger than the usual UK equivalent. It overlooked a busy train track however there was adequate glazing blocking out the noise of trains and parakeets. The room was spotless and was cleaned mid-stay upon our request. Electricity in rooms and lift access requires the room key to be inserted, so I recommend requesting an additional key in case one of your party has to leave the room.
Breakfast team were very attentive and maintained good availability of food. Breakfast at weekends seems to get busy from around 8.45am. Outside of breakfast, food options are limited but there are some good restaurants in the area.
I would have given 5 stars if it were not for an unpleasant experience on departure when the duty manager insisted I needed to pay again for breakfasts which I had already paid for, and was somewhat assertive about the need to do this and would not listen to anything to the contrary (note that unlike the UK, there is no key-drop-off option). Following me escalating this via a phone call to the reception later in the day, the issue was resolved the next morning but the embarrassment of having to be told I was wrong in front of my party was disappointing, and I just got the usual 'we will learn from all feedback' copy-and-paste answer. A real shame as until then, the stay had been faultless.
- E4642YLtb (10/5): Brilliant, relaxing, would return in a heartbeat - Excellent service, staff friendly, rooms and hotel spotless, we couldn't be happier with everything, we were visiting family and spent most of the evenings in our rooms, the beds were comfortable and rooms.extremely clean, the reception staff were great and engaged in conversation so did the housekeeping staff which was great too because they gave you a sense of welcome
- suejX4909JU (10/5): Rest & relax - We booked this hotel at short notice to take advantage of the beautiful weather. The room had a fabulous view over the countryside, it was immaculately clean and the bed was supremely comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and came across as very professional. The only downside was workers up & leaving the hotel at 6am disturbed us by slamming room doors & fire doors on the way out but other than that I can highly recommend this hotel g would definitely return 10/10
- scotts1963 (10/5): Lovely hotel with great comfy beds - This hotel is located in a industrial place but its a great location for getting to places. The hotel staff are polte and the rooms are clean. The beds are great and comfy. Very clean and spacious.
Not sure if I would recommend the breakfast in the restaurant next door. I found the place to be dirty, toilets dirty and nothing freshly cooked for you. Its all on a buffet. Depends what you want from a breakfast. Staff dont come and clean your tables either so you find your places stack up as well. We also tried this place for dinner and its just as bad.
But the Premier Inn is a lovely place to stay and has good parking to.
I would definately go back.
- tich22 (10/5): Had the best nights sleep cozy and warm - Very clean get everything you need had the best sleep ever really quiet staff were great will stay again if I go to Scotland the area was good parking was good and the whole place smelled fresh and inviting we really liked our stay the price was really good for what you got
- jaychudasama782 (6/5): Stay at Premier Inn - Dundee - Decent bedding and clean room. Shower power was weak, and reception could be more friendly. Price for the night was higher than should be, but may also be due to late booking
- LyndsStrang (10/5): Most Boutique Chain Stay Ever - Staff incredible at hotel & restaurant & nearby Costa. Clean & comfy.
Limited charging points - but wonderfully surprising little touches.
- dwknock (10/5): Monifieth - First, I was disappointed that Bill wasn't on the reception desk as he had checked me in on all m previous visits however there was a very friendly girl there instead who was very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. A smile really goes a long way.
All the other staff were smiley and friendly too.
I like Monifieth PI as it is still as it was, un-refurbished and traditional but it still feels fresh.
I managed to get a meal in the restaurant which was only open to residents fo meals on Friday, unfortunately it was completely shut on Monday so I went to Dundee entre for breakfast there instead.
See you next time.
