Guest Reviews
- markcR2552QB (4/5): Disappointed - No reception , as such , which leaves you arriving and waiting for someone to appear .
Cheap and cheerful , as long as you have no expectations.
- carolgT2075KD (4/5): Very tired hotel - Good location that was the only good thing about our stay the hotels cleanliness in all areas is very poor it is very run down in need of some paintwork down throughout the whole place. Only getting 1 teabag and 1 sachet of coffee each day is very poor for the prices being charged. Also having to let them know if you are needing your room cleaned or not is ridiculous. And the bar closing to residents at 10.30Pm on a friday and saturday night is very poor.
- pauldF7461OP (10/5): Excellent option when visiting Inverness - Really friendly welcome and check in. We had a Premier Plus room which was excellent - nice view and a very good waterfall shower.
- alantZ8133LD (8/5): Relaxing Inverness - A very central location with shopping nearby and easy walking distance to both bus and train stations. Lovely walking routes on the doorstep for the more active. Welcoming staff. The room was comfortable and clean. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay. The evening meal was surprisingly very nice with the combination price for breakfast and dinner making it very good value for money.
Our favourite place to stay when we visit Inverness. We will be back.
- eddiedK8458NS (10/5): Weekend away with the wife - Stayed for two nights from the 28th to 30th pre paid for breakfast and eat at the beefeater restaurant connecting to the hotel staff were amazing especially Darcy in the restaurant and joe on reception highly recommended will definitely stay over there again
- E159YCmaureenb (10/5): Like home from home - Once again had a nice relaxing couple of days/nights at the Premier Inn in Inverness, very friendly and helpful staff, a 10 minute walk away from both bus and train stations and the shops
- billybothwell68 (10/5): The Best Premier Inn - The perfect location right on the River Ness . In the middle of the city centre . Always a warm friendly highland welcome . Excellent rooms , we get premier plus for the little extras ; fridge, WiFi, views of The Ness . Breakfast is always good , warm and never ending . Already booked for February visit , can’t wait to return .
- teachertim (10/5): Decent - Decent clean hotel with friendly staff. Room was spotless, breakfasts was good and well organised. Bed was super comfy. Loads of parking. Would definitely stay again. Decent.
- Esmeralda7706 (8/5): A central experience - Great location,as uts within walking distance,if the town centre-just scrosd the bridge. Its a self check-in,which im just getting used to. Very poorly staffrd,as a result,of self check-in. Comfortable, clean room/,bed,though the air con wasnt very good. Too warm, though i opened the window, therefore i didnt sleep well. Bathroom needs to have sanitary bags provided. The restaurant was closed, the night i stayed(fortunately i recieved an e-mail to advise). Breakfast area isnt the best organised, and its wayyy overpriced. However,id stay here again, many thanks!
- jjU8218DM (2/5): Soso - Room was very hot to say it was October big black stain on side couch god knows what it was but the room was clean otherwise the reason for my one star review was the woman on reception called Lauren she was very rude and miserable in the morning made me feel like I was an inconvenience with it being the morning shift maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the bed very unprofessional
- 944SS (2/5): Beware parking scam - This hotel is in a great location for exploring the city. Room was a decent size. Cleanliness--mediocre. Room looked worn. Parking was challenging to find...another guest helped us.
Edited to add: Parking seems to be a scam. As directed by the staff at reception, we paid at the machine in the garage. One month after our trip, we received a charge on our credit card for $65 CAN for a parking violation. Several phone calls to the rental company later, I have now been directed to email (no phone number, of course) the agency that deals with such disputes. I have tried repeatedly to contact the hotel but end up with a busy signal each time.
I had read a few reviews about this issue prior to booking this hotel, and should have heeded the advice of those posters :(
- 738kennyh (6/5): Weekend - Hotel was good, beds are not as comfortable as they advertise,Staff were very friendly and polite all of them, Paige who served us was a nice girl. A shame about the food. Breakfast was not that great plates were cold .evening meal was a big let down,I had burger which was not very hot ,served on cold plates my wife had chicken it was tough as old boots. Give meals a miss here.
- deebeale (8/5): Great stopover - Lovely helpful reception staff, lots of on-side parking, it was great for our overnight stay. Plus the bonus of the retail park.
- I3974ULsharonw (4/5): Disappointing - Stayed here before which was why I did not hesitate to rebook, sadly this visit was a real disappointment. Family room with two mugs, 2 towels, fighting for a seat on the rooms only chair. The noise from surrounding rounds was unbearable.
Went for breakfast yesterday and it was definitely not the usual unlimited breakfast you had to order by the item which took ages to arrive if we had know this I would have gone to the local supermarket and saved myself time and some money!
Dinner the fish was soggy and greasy in fact it was inedible, falafel made with garden peas instead of chickpeas is just wrong! An expensive disappointment of a weekend not the usual premier inn experience!
- jennybP5870YC (6/5): Good loction bit poor staffing levels. - Hotel set in a great central location. Cleanliness of room and hotel was good. However, staffing levels within this hotel are not acceptable. Rarely is there a member of staff visible when people checking in and even when they do appear they are busy doing other things. Bar area open but no one available to serve customers. Tables slow to be cleared in dining room. Breakfast food slow to be replenished. Asked for room to be cleaned early in the morning and by 5 pm had not beem done. When questioned this was told cleaning staff had now left and that there had been an issue with cleaning. No one now available to do this so our room was not covered along with numerous others on our floor alone. This is such a good location of Premier Inn but if they do not do something re their staffing levels they may well end up seeing the impact!
- Sistah_G (10/5): Location Location Location - Walking distance to the business I needed to attend. The Hotel is your typical hotel room. Very sterile clean, bath w/shower and a very nice breakfast choice. Warm welcome at check in. There is pay parking available in the back of the hotel which was pricey but also convenient. It was impressed at checkin other options for parking & prices elsewhere within walking distance were shared. Location is in the heart of Inverness so very good for walking to dine, drink & see the sights.
- F7955DRkarenc (4/5): freezing cold damp room, despite a heater in the room - staff not friendly on arrival, very poor communication, freezing cold room, bedding damp, clothing damp next morning, no staff to speak to despite ringing bell at reception on three different attempts
- F4634EKchristinem (10/5): Warm welcome - Inverness premier inn a great location by the river. Friendly staff with a warm welcome into a bright environment. A great comfortable room and bed.
- paul5774 (10/5): A lovely one night stay - This Premier Inn more than met our expectations. The room was clean, the hotel and surroundings were great. Customer service from recreation staff was first class.
- Rangers9 (8/5): Nice hotel. - Standard premier inn. Nice clean room with a comfy bed, lots of parking space and only a 10 min walk to the town centre.
Nice staff.
No lift in the block we were in so beware if stairs are an issue.
The unit that keeps the self service breakfast warm was on the blink when we stayed, but breakfast was cooked to order so no real problem.
Water pressure was poor in the shower and the water wasn’t very hot at the sink, possibly to do with the water saving device in the tap so it doesn’t run, it sprinkles.
Nice accommodation though and would stay again.
- Feebee9719 (4/5): Poor. Not the normal premier plus experience. - As a regular resident at Premier Inn's throughout UK for business, I expected to find the usual level of cleanliness & staff efficiency in Inverness. So booked a stay with my daughter.
We were utterly disappointed. The whole place felt grubby. Layers of grime and dust on all skirting boards and the stairwell was particularly filthy. Bathroom looked clean, but smelt of stale urine.
Other than check in, staff appeared untrained and disinterested in customers. Breakfast was disorganised and lacking.
Overall, not what I have experienced at a Premier Inn before. Premier plus it was not!
- Reviewer6789 (4/5): Premier Inn isn't what it used to be - Not sure what is happening at Premier Inn - it seems to be trying to re-position itself in the market but failing. As a place for an overnight travel stop it used to be excellent; clean, comfy and very good value with reasonably ok food and drink nearby. That seems to have changed and you can now often get better hotels at cheaper prices. It’s no longer a reasonably priced overnighter but nor is it the sort of hotel where I would want to spend more than a night or two. £133 for one night!!! And the premier inn mattress 2.0 is nowhere near as comfortable as the old one.
Stayed here overnight en route from Stornoway to Glasgow but in hindsight should have just pressed on and got home. It was clean but not so comfy and seemed quite noisy re road and rail noise, even though we were towards the rear. This is another place where the Brewers Fayre type restaurant has been replaced and the “Thyme” restaurant was quite poor. They wouldn't take a booking for 7.00 claiming they were busy but accepted 6.45. No particular hard deal but, despite having visibility of the entrance, very few people actually arrived at 7 and the place wasnt overly busy. The waitresses also need training in the drinks they serve, claiming Belhaven Best is the same as Guinness and asking if I wanted a glass and ice (?!!) with Sharps Doom Bar. Also, not sure how they thought they could pour the Best when all the draught taps were off due to no gas. At £63 for a meal for two it was also a bit expensive for what it was and making it almost £200 for a one night stay.
- Nicola_W_0108 (2/5): Nothing’s premier but the price!! Do not stay here!! - Our experience at this Premier Inn was poor. We paid extra for a ‘Premier Plus’ room, which was anything but!! Only positives were the location, room size and bed comfort. Many of the negatives were as follows:
* Toilet paper very thin/poor quality.
* Not enough hangers.
* No tissues or toilet brush provided, which are normally basic essentials in hotel rooms.
* Ultimate WiFi didn’t always work as advertised & standard WiFi very slow.
* Windows/outer decking very dirty - extremely poor when we paid extra for a river view, which we then couldn’t enjoy due to how filthy the windows/decking were.
* Staff availability - at busy times, there was only one staff member dealing with enquiries which caused delays. Each time we went to Reception, there was nobody on the desk and they did not always respond quickly to the buzzer. For the hefty price tag of our stay, I would expect someone on the main desk at all times.
* Poor cleanliness standards - items in room were dusty/dirty (extractor fan, stool).
* Stupid rules whereby if you wanted the room serviced, you had to go to Reception to queue up and let them know! This delayed the start to every day of our stay, and was an unnecessary & pointless stipulation.
* Housekeeping service was poor. Our bin wasn’t emptied, resulting in lots of food/drink rubbish piling up in the room. We complained to staff at the time, and were told housekeeping were short-staffed! FYI, not my fault! That’s your problem to sort! As the hotel, you know how many guests are staying, and that they expect a housekeeping service included within the price. As paying guests, we spent hundreds of pounds on our stay, and for that we definitely expect someone to pull their finger out and empty the damn bin! Disgusting lack of service and pathetic excuses.
Our main issue was the toilet, so it gets its own paragraph. It wouldn’t flush properly and there was clearly a fault with it. We spoke to Reception around 10pm the first evening - a male staff member came up to the room to investigate. He advised we pour water from the kettle into toilet bowl to help it refill and flush - this worked intermittently as a short term solution, but obviously far from ideal. We asked for maintenance to look at this and fix the toilet properly. We were told that maintenance only work 9am to 5pm, so would have to wait until next day. I was very unhappy about this. We were offered to use the toilet in an empty room next door, which was not a proper resolution. Did not want to move rooms due to inconvenience. Spoke to a different staff member the following morning - she misunderstood & thought it was the toilet in the room next to ours which had an issue! When we returned to hotel later in the day, we had to queue at Reception (again!!) to ask if our toilet had been fixed - the staff member was gormless, he had no idea what we were talking about and hadn’t been given any information about our issue. Complete lack of communication, which was very unprofessional and incredibly frustrating. To this day, we still don’t know if our faulty toilet was actually looked at by maintenance or not. It continued to not work properly for duration of our stay, which was disruptive and caused us unnecessary stress.
This multitude of issues impacted negatively on our entire stay. We definitely did not get a ‘premier plus’ experience that we had paid a lot for. The price tag to stay here for a few nights was disgusting, and they should be ashamed charging guests that much when basic facilities (toilet!) don’t work properly! We complained when checking out, but didn’t receive a proper apology and got quite a defensive attitude from the staff member (oh I wasn’t here that day so I didn’t know anything about that etc).
We contacted Premier Inn directly afterwards, to make a formal complaint. They were not quick at getting back to us; it took the mick that they took a week to respond and even that was just a holding reply. We managed to claim a partial refund, but the price we still paid for our stay was shocking and unacceptable. I will not return to this Premier Inn and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone staying in Inverness!
- petervH8861XJ (2/5): Damp and smelly - avoid - Seriously awful
Stinks of damp - first room unusable owing to stench.
Restaurant has nobody in it but too busy to serve
Avoid
- W5920TGgeorgew (6/5): Could be a lot better with some improvements. - Stayed for 2 nights, dinner, bed, and breakfast, food was good, on a saver deal, but there are too many hidden costs or upgrades. On inspection, I was overcharged on 3 items. The general condition of the dining area is poor and in need of an upgrade. My room was basic, and the bathroom facilities were very poor, with no water pressure, so I couldn't take a shower or bath, as it would have taken hours to fill a bath, and the shower was totally useless. I also paid £5 for the upgraded WiFi, which did not work. I was told it was the fault of Virgin as they were about to change over contracts, was told they would refund me, but so far not received it. In general, the staff were all very pleasant.
- Susmitha (10/5): - Enjoyed the newly renovated rooms. Clean and spacious
- 921cristianoa (10/5): Excellent - The hotel is extremely well located. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The shower is great and the bed excellent. What impressed us most was the staff — outstanding service both at check-in and throughout our stay. A special mention to Joss, who went above and beyond to help us with a few issues during check-in, always with genuine kindness and attention.
- Passenger53146358699 (10/5): Best hotel in Inverness (and I've stayed in a few!) - Wasn't sure where to stay as had come a long way. All the staff were exemplary, particularly the dynamic duo Paige and Kelly. They were born to go the extra mile. If yer gonna stay anywhere in Inverness, stay here, it's the best!
- Scott-Celine (10/5): Great wheelchair accessible room - We selected an accessible room, and this is one of the best accessible rooms we have found. The bathroom sink was lower, and there were well-placed grab bars for the toilet and shower.
The bed was also lower and easier for the guest in a wheelchair to get in and out of. Plus plenty of room to wheel around
I would highly recommend it for anyone seeking a wheelchair-accessible room in Inverness.
- Katherine (6/5): - We booked a king room and received an accessible queen. Not the hotel’s fault at all but just know that when booking, you might not get what you expect so call ahead. Bed was comfy! Only rating 3 stars because it’s kind of in the middle of nowhere and we would’ve preferred to stay closer to town. Staff is VERY kind.
- 418billyd (10/5): As above. - I’ve be here quite often and am blown away by the professionalism of a lady called Paige. She lights up the room with her friendly smile and approach. No issue is too small for her to sort. A true professional and ambassador to the company. I had also the pleasure of meeting two ladies called Kelly and Shaznee. Shaznee stated she was new and in training. Again a great lady with lots of potential and I hope to see her again at the Milburn Road location. Kelly I have met before and puts her heart and soul into her job. A great lady and all in all a great team. Well done and I look forward to my next stay.
- annmarie456 (2/5): Bad - Staff not approachable, room 303 next to dual carriageway. Waitress at breakfast was friendly though and hard working
- Gretchen (6/5): - You can hear in the room all the noices from the street.
The food from the restaurant is average and overpriced.
Another thing is that they have false advertising. They gave us a drink menu and we asked for the Fizz Weekend Bottle of Prosecco, which is promoted at the menu, only to be told that it doesn't apply in Scotland, but still, they keep advertising the special without specifying that it does not apply there.
- Kenneth_Smith (10/5): Another good night at Millburn - The staff are welcoming and always remember me when I check in which is lovely.
Paige and Kelly are always smiling and nothing is to much trouble.
Now I’ve been coming here for over 5 years almost every month and I need to say tonight’s dinner was the best yet; a huge thank you to Elena for a fabulous meal.
- Raymond (8/5): - Very nice hotel. Great location.
- which_hat (10/5): Great nights sleep in a large and clean room - This is our first stay at a Premier Inn and we were very happy with our room.We paid extra for premiere plus and for breakfast. We had a beautiful view of the river.Breakfast was brilliant for 10 pounds, and the staff were happy and helpful. We got street parking out the front but you can park out the back in the Tesco carpark.
- lcornacchini2016 (6/5): No frills, no view room - Creaky floors, view of concrete wall but clean. Appropriate for quick pit stop to Inverness on our way to island of Skye. Still think more expensive than worth.
- SarahPeters2015 (4/5): Noisy and not very central - I’ll start off with the good points - all the staff I encountered were lovely and professional and my room was up to the usual Premier Inn standard. However, when I checked in the person on reception announced my room number to anyone in reception who happened to be listening which is a concern as I was a solo traveller; it was not possible to change rooms as they were fully booked. Also, on the second night I was told I couldn’t eat in the restaurant until much later as I hadn’t made a reservation, despite the restaurant looking pretty empty. I got food via Uber instead as the hotel, despite being badged as central is at least a 15 min walk down a dingy dual carriageway and I didn’t fancy walking back to the hotel in the dark from the restaurants in the city centre. Because the hotel is on the dual carriageway, the rooms on that side of the hotel are noisy both from road and rail traffic. I didn’t get very much sleep at all on this trip.
- Navigator58937412710 (2/5): Disappointed with the room cleaning - Very disappointed with cleanliness of room. Although it was an upgrade I’m glad it didn’t cost extra as cleaning was atrocious. I’ve never in all my travelling seen a windowsill like it. (I may add that I’ve not stayed in the poorer regions of the world ). The sill was so full of dead and living little black insects and three different types of spiders complete with webs enjoying the feast. My husband was so annoyed and sickened that he cleaned it with baby wipes. With hindsight we should’ve photographed it but being of a certain age we are not so savvy as our family. Not only that the wardrobe was very dusty and don’t think the hangars are ever cleaned. All around the fridge was also very dusty with lumps of dust etc lying around it and very difficult to open. On the plus side the bed was clean and very comfy. The toilet and sink were clean as was the shower. Only the centre of the room seemed to see the mop as the edges were a bit dull. We did report it and received a sympathetic ear but nobody checked up.
- lplmij (8/5): Poor ventilation - A great female team.
Poor ventilation in the bathroom leaving the room / clothes feeling damp on day 2 of 4.
Good location with easy access to the airport.
- Trail54288871934 (4/5): Understaffed! - Understaffed! Poor waitress at breakfast was on her own. She was running around and trying her hardest but there was just too much to do for 1 person! She should not have been put in that position!
- Karen (10/5): - Well worth the money, bathroom was great. Very small room but it was just fine.
- bobmW8255PK (2/5): Hotel needs a severe overhaul - I have been staying at this Premier Inn every other month for the past 10-15 years and this is the first time i have had an cause for complaint. On arrival we were booked in to our assigned accessible room (room 4). When we entered the room we were astounded to see the condition of the room - Bed not made up, dirty towels strewn across the bed and bathroom, the bin was full and overflowing and there was a lot of debris across the floor. The bathroom was dirty and the sink was full of dirty tepid water.
When i went to the reception to report it, the receptionist looked at the cleaning rota and although she apologised as she thought it had been done, she immediately spotted what had happened.
it took about 35-40 minutes to find another room but this was on the first floor (109) and was not an accessible room. On entering this room it was without tea/coffee & there was no fan in the room (this hotel has not air conditioning and all rooms have fans). we retrieved one from the original room but when i picked it up (with the receptionist there) it came apart in my hands!!!
On the first morning we decided to have breakfast and that turned out to be a mistake also - the food was cold and had been out for a while. I asked if i could just have coffee and toast and was told i could only pay for a cooked breakfast!! I paid and when i asked for a refund as i felt the food was not acceptable i was not offered anything other than an apology!!
- jay (10/5): - Good value for the money. The dining room staff was particularly good at breakfast, which was quite good for a hotel buffet.
- suesW4408HA (10/5): Great staff - As usual with Premier Inns, excellent rooms and well cleaned. As someone in their late 70's, staff at Premier Inn Milburn Road were very helpful and courteous to me, particularly Cristina and Magda. The other staff there were also very nice.
- 684tonyz (4/5): Hot, humid, noisy, and a trickle of a shower. - We stayed for two nights to go to a wedding in the area. We stay at premier inns a lot and will keep staying for the value-for-money and comfort but this particular hotel was a big let down for us.
The room was humid and warm (this was not during a heatwave) and poorly ventilated. In fairness to them they did equip an electric fan in the room but honestly an air con was desperately needed. This really affected our sleep quality during the night. The corridors also had a pungent smell like urine or vomit, unpleasant to open our door to first thing in the morning.
Our windows were not soundproof enough either and we could hear loud music and traffic outside through the night.
Also, being on the top floor our water pressure from the shower was very disappointing. Well below their usual standards and much worse than our own shower at home. Overall this was a poor stay, will look elsewhere for options if we ever come back to Hull again.
- viviennet185 (10/5): Above and beyond - Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They all went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Thanks to the lady in front reception for making us feel welcome. The man in the restaurant who provided us with a larger table to accommodate other family members even though it was extremely busy.
- Stuart (8/5): - Staff organised, property seems well managed. Depending on room location it could be a little noisy. Food ok, not great
- Kathryn (10/5): Great Value Inverness - Pleasantly surprised. The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The staff, from check inn to dining room were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel offers direct phone to taxi service in lobby. It was 6.50GBP each way to Inverness city centre ... which was about 5 minute drive. The 10.99GBP breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
- J2348HRbrianb (10/5): Fabulous couple of night - Absolutely ideal for location to Hull and other locations
Staff were friendly and professional.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Also very quiet especially as we backed on the main road.
- kawee123 (8/5): good place to stay if you liek peace and quiet - booking online is very easy and quick, staff is very friendly and attentive, rooms are clean and comfortable, plenty of space for parking and an EV-charger in the parking lot were for us an extra plus. the hotel is a good bit away from the city center, so plan for a 20 min walk or the cast of a taxi. Out room was in the back and a bit dark (made for a good night sleep though...)
- 929brodieb (10/5): Best hotel I've been to to! - Overall Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (5/5)
Stayed: Recent reviews from June 2025

🏙️ Location & Parking – 5/5
Located within a ~10–15‑minute walk to Inverness city centre, train station, and shops. Though set beside a main road and former distillery buildings, road noise is minimal with glazing closed. Excellent free on-site parking makes it convenient for those driving in.
🛏️ Rooms & Comfort – 4/5
The hotel offers Standard and Premier Plus rooms. Premier Plus features extra seating, a desk, USB ports, a coffee machine, mini‑fridge, and better Wi‑Fi. Many guests appreciated the walk‑in showers in newer rooms.
Premier Inn
Rooms are generally clean and spacious, with blackout curtains aiding good sleep. Some flaws: heating may fail in cool weather, and shower pressure or hot water reliability was occasionally reported. Noise from other rooms or mechanical sounds above some guests bothered light sleepers.
🍳 Breakfast & Dining – 4/5
The hotel has an on-site restaurant serving evening meals and an unlimited buffet breakfast (~£10 per adult), including hot options, vegan/vegetarian choices, pastries, fruit, and cereals. Guests highlight especially good black pudding and value for money.
👩💼 Staff & Service – 4.5/5
Staff are frequently described as friendly, helpful, and professional. Several guests singled out individuals like Barry, Chris, and Emma for going above and beyond assistance. One reviewer mentioned prompt help following an unfortunate fall, including room upgrades and breakfast in bed.
Some negatives involved operational hiccups: no in‑room phone meant guests had to physically walk across the carpark to reach reception for issues like cold showers.
🧼 Cleanliness & Facilities – 4/5
Cleanliness consistently receives praise—rooms, bedding, and public areas are well maintained. The redeveloped distillery setting is stylish inside, combining period charm with modern design.

Premier Inn Inverness Centre (Millburn Road) is a strong choice for budget-savvy travellers seeking consistent comfort, great parking, and straightforward access to Inverness. While a few operational issues—like heating, hot water reliability, or absence of in‑room phones—can impact the stay, these appear isolated rather than systemic. Overall, it delivers excellent value for one to three-night stays, especially in Premier Plus rooms, and is ideal for both leisure and business travellers.
- A7584KFrossp (4/5): Rooms way too hot!! - Only good thing about this hotel was the reception staff!
Room was boiling and with having a baby made it very difficult to do anything. Sweating the whole 2 nights and for the price we paid this is definitely not good enough.
Musky smell throughout the hotel and our room.
Massively overpriced!
- pjb8033 (4/5): so so HOT - Would have been higher if the room wasn't hotter than the Sahara. Staff very pleasant, rooms are a bit dated, and single sheet toilet roll dispensers do not ooze luxury. Location was almost perfect for my requirements though, plenty of loving places to eat and relax nearby. Its probably a sign of the times that as Brits, we expect to have air con to accommodate for the average of 2 days a year we actually need it. But it would be a worthwhile consideration when a much needed renovation is next scheduled.
- 253debs (10/5): Excellent - We stayed for 2 nights & had a fantastic stay. It was a great location to several places of interest. We had a great experience from booking in with the reception staff to lovely comfy rooms to having breakfast & evening meals. All of the staff were extremely friendly & smiley. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel
- jodiedS1200SV (2/5): Felt like a youth club - The room was unbelievably hot due to being on the top floor. The minimal gap in the window allowed a small amount of air to circulate. The fan was inadequate, broken and made a clicking noise on every rotation.
Unfortunately it was a very warm weekend, but the hotel doesn't have air con?
There was about 10-15 children running wild throughout the day ans until atleast 2am in the morning. Knocking doors and running away.
This was discussed with the receptionist and she explained there was a boxing event and she had asked parents to controll their children.
Not tbe greatest of attitudes toward the situation.
- gall966 (10/5): Super location for exploring the City - Really easy to find. Lots of available parking and the staff were very welcoming.
Our room was in an older part of the building but was really clean and to the standards you’d expect with a Premier Inn.
A comfortable night sleep and a good selection at breakfast.
Again really helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again
- judithw20 (10/5): A really great stay - Once again, we had a great stay at Hull North.
The hotel is ideally located for visiting family. It’s very comfortable, plenty of parking (which is free to hotel guests), everything was tidy and in working order and has great bus links. The food in the Beefeater was well cooked, with everything available.
Huge thanks to everyone who made our stay so good:
To Lauren, for allocating us the same room that we stayed in last time;
To Lorraine & Addy on Reception for helping with our requests for a sheet, extra towels & so on and for sorting out our shareholder breakfasts;
To all the staff in the restaurant at breakfast and dinner, we enjoyed some great meals & great service;
To every member of staff that we came in contact with.
- kayiokiy (8/5): Great, Some Flaws But Still Great. - Great over all experience, Cleanliness was good but the bathroom could have used some work. Staff were really friendly and the bed was really comfy. The TV worked a little slow and a Fridge would have been a great addition to the room.
- EmergingCyclogenesis (8/5): A positive experience if pricey - Dont be put off by the dour exterior of this ex distillery turned hotel. Inside it is well appointed and modern. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the rooms clean and spacious.
During the tourist season, prices throughout Inverness go up and for over £200 a night I would have expected air con in the room. There is a thermostat but it only heats not cools, so during what was a cool week weather wise, my room never got below 23 degrees celsius despite opening the window, which only offered a small gap. This made the room warm to sleep in and let to a disturbed sleep despite Premier Inn’s celebrated “bed”.
On the positive front the food exceeded my expectations at what is normally a budget hotel. I had soup and a Korean Burger, which was excellent and breakfast was a good spread with tasty sausages and some of the best Black Pudding I have tried. Normally black pudding is dry and tough but this was tasty and soft in the middle.
The bathroom was clean but I could not get the shower pressure nor heat that I like. On one morning there was clearly a lot of demand as pressure was low and it was not particularly hot
- nerdj2025 (2/5): Terrible - cleanliness / temperature / wifi / room design - Cleanliness:
I was going two stars until this - condom wrapper under the sofa killed it for me. Disgusting and no excuse. None. Not the only rubbish not hoovered/collected up. Bed sheet marked in multiple places.
Unacceptable.
Bin is sticky and manky in the bottom.
Corners of the bathroom need mopping. Clearly given a once-over and nothing more.
Dirty brown marks on bathroom wall need a wipe.
Temperature:
Outside world hit 23 today. Hotel room is 28 and refusing to drop. Windows don't open more than 2 inches. Fan does nothing.
WiFi:
0.3 Megabits per second download speed. Refusing to pay £5 for 8x faster because it would still be terrible. When the room is £120 without breakfast you'd at least expect some wifi.
Room:
No charger near the head of the bed is a 1990s design that should have been resolved sometime since mobile phone's where invented.
Just not good. At all.
- 62frazerc (10/5): What more can I say but fantastic - This is a fantastic hotel to stay at the staff our very professional and helpful the food is really good and the rooms are spotless we highly recomend this hotel they are also very helpful with food allergys helping my wife with the gluten free menu.
- 1947grump (6/5): Let down being badly in need of redecoration - Lovely staff
Inside tired
Outside a complete disgrace-looked like a derelict prison. Paint peeling off timber and walls. Walls badly stained
Adjacent Beefeater the same
- angelawJ6121RK (10/5): Great place to stay. - Very comfortable hotel - kind and helpful staff. This is a great place to stay with excellent parking. Highly recommended.
- Robbriggs1 (4/5): Slightly disappointed. - I don’t like giving negative reviews but feel it’s probably needed.
Firstly, our room was tired. Not at the usual PI standard.
Breakfast wasn’t upto the usual standard also. Plenty of choice but the cooked breakfast wasn’t great on both mornings.
We couldn’t be seated for dinner one evening so went across to Riva Blu which was blooming lovely!
Lastly, the service at the bar area was bordering on comical and wasn’t busy at all whilst we were there. Serving people took forever and no order in who was being served- there were only 2-3 stood waiting…for a long time.
Car park with litter in the surroundings.
We come to this hotel 1-2 a year but may have a rethink.
- jackieb987 (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely clean place staff very friendly breakfast very nice slept very well location is good lovely retail Park pub on site meals all day too 😀 pricing good too also cinema bowling and loads of eating places near by. Walking distance too also free parking ideal
- DonnyDeepakDinakaran (10/5): Addy&Darrien - Darrien reminds me of how I will turn out in the future. When I was waiting for a chore, he treated me to his workking lifestory! It was awexuding and it was classically humility filled. Addy and I were able to click because we were at wavelength
