Guest Reviews
- V5401AYtrevorc (10/5): Welcoming - The reception staff Shaan and Gareth were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Thank you very much for a welcoming stay.
- X2776PXfredr (6/5): No wifi , - No wifi, stayed there had to check out early and find another hotel.
Shower pump so noisy under staffed kitchen staff so limited menu . The mast next door leaves half the hotel without wifi in your room so have to sit in reception and restaurant which was a massive inconvenience. Worst experience i have had in a premier inn
- C836XGemmar (10/5): Staff amazing - Conveniently places for access to city centre. Staff were all very helpful, especially Sara. She could not do enough to ensure our stay was the best.
- ChrisPC1987 (6/5): September 2 night Stay - Hotel was okay but let down by it's facilities. TV didn't work for the 2 nights I was there despite reporting it. I was given a replacement remote control on 2nd night which still didn't turn on the TV.
- 782gedh (10/5): Relaxing break - Very friendly and helpful staff, always a pleasure to stay here , great proximity to the shopping centre and the stadium just nearby also would like to make special mention to Kasia and Denisa the chef superb service but all the staff were excellent
- Dreamer22801991417 (8/5): Great staff in good value pre cruise location - Excellent value for money. Very friendly and attentive staff especially James and Shelley in the restaurant. Great pre cruise location
- 969martynab (10/5): Nice and clean, excellent service. - I was pleased with this hotel. Excellent service by Kasia. She was professional and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious cooked by Denisa. Highly recommended.
- mattpN2190LC (10/5): Very happy - Quality service and staff everything well set up. The staff were very delighted and very helpful. The room was also well organised
- H1746ZRjoshc (10/5): FANTASTIC - Amazing experience down at Premier Inn City centre.
Lovely staff and very clean room 😌
Great value for money and the dinner was excellent - Poppy our server was lovely & attentive.
- L329SFjoshm (10/5): Couldnt ask for a better service! - City centre
Staff were great!
Food was amazing!
Charlene was my server and was spot on and so helpful!
Evertone was so freindly and warm it was a pleasure staying at this Premier inn
- TracyTuckwell (2/5): Disgraceful Call Centre Staff when faced with a complaint with this hotel. - Re-write of my last review which seems to have been removed ?? Possibly due to photos I included of the lorry at 05.56am
Stayed a night at this hotel, Saturday to Sunday. Rudely awoken by a HGV at 5.30am who proceeded to manoeuvre out of carpark with reversing bleeping and shouting to his banksman. This continued for well over 35 mins including the time the driver sat in the lorry warming up his engine.
I sent a complaint to Premier Inn and followed up with a phone call as they failed to reply …… lady on phone at call centre was unhelpful to the point of saying “any disturbance from outside the hotel (even in their own carpark) is NOT A COMPLAINT THEY CAN OR WILL DEAL WITH. The driver and lorry were staying at the hotel….. Quite frankly Premier Inn do not give a damn about a good nights sleep, despite all their adverts on television saying to the contrary. LENNY HENRY WOULD NOT HAVE SLEPT FITFULLY AT THIS HOTEL..
**** Receptionist, Jacqui, was incredibly helpful and very apologetic. Shame the call centre staff couldn’t go to the same Charm School.
- christophermK4377AV (10/5): Good experience - Lovely comfortable bed room good size, shower was an attachment in the bath nice hot water and looking out of the window onto the edge of new forest. Just off the M27 very easy to find turn into the Vine inn car park and follow the road round plenty of parking spaces
- moaK1043FI (10/5): Services - Great service by Malwina in the premier inn Everything was perfect lovely staff best experience definitely ill be back ❤️
- 55wiktorial (10/5): Great stay - Malwina was welcoming, efficient, and made the whole check-in experience smooth and pleasant.
Great service from start to finish
- 454ranik (10/5): Great service - Malwina was very friendly, helpful and professional, great service at reception. The hotel was nice and clean, couldn’t ask for better stay
- ahedger (4/5): Dirty, damp room. Wouldn’t recommend. - Stayed in Premier Inns a handful of times this year with mixed experiences. This was by far the worst. Poorly maintained, to the point of dirty, room.
Upon arriving the two staff behind the counter couldn’t have been any more disinterested or rude if they had tried.
The room (and public areas) was badly in need of repairs and maintenance. The room was damp (to the point of pillow etc feeling damp.). The TV from the room next door was clearly audible and the heating didn’t work, so the room was cold.
Bathroom had peeling paint, carpet lifting in the doorways, rusty towel rail etc. just nasty. Wouldn’t really recommend unless you fancy roughing it.
- Moulsonj (10/5): Excellent service - Great service by James and staff in the premier inn restaurant. Lovely meal and caring staff. Food was well cooked and presented and pudding was out of this world. Thank you
- Smiffy65 (8/5): Great stay - Everything it says on the tin. Friendly stay, comfy rooms, free parking. Perfectly placed for Peppa Pig land, and Hungry Horse next door. And a Wacky Warehouse. Perfect.
- cl4aire (10/5): ALWAYS A PLEASURE - I have been visiting this Premier Inn for four years for work and I always receive such a warm welcome, whether that is from Sara on Reception to Shelley and Tammie in the restaurant. The restaurant has had a glow-up since my last visit and I love the decor. The menu has also changed and there are loads of delicious options. The staff are so friendly and take time to explain options to you. My bed is comfortable and I know I will feel rested and ready for the day ahead in the morning.
- Global713195 (10/5): Amazing and thanks to the Staff, they make the place 😁 - Staff are so friendly, always make me feel welcome and as a regular for weekly uni stays on my own its very comforting to feel like a part of the family. Food is lovely and beds Soo comfy. Highly recommend. Shelley and Tammy thank you for always making me feel at home, you make my stay warm and safe
- H1495IWdianaf (10/5): STAFF - amazing experience , lovely staff and the food was lovely . Mimi is so hard working and needs recognition .will return happilly
- rowanc607 (2/5): Avoid - Tired and dirty - The restaurant unavailable and zero welcome. Pay for parking. Room cold and generally feel of take the money and shove them in
- Z4297UOandym (4/5): Stay at the new premiere inn by Westquay - The entire building needs a thorough deep clean , reception area floor, lifts and non carpetted areas were sticky underfoot, corridor as well as bedroom carpets need replacing to remove the stail smell...windows need regular cleaning to remove the bird muck stains..
The staff do not reflect the condition of the building as they are fab and did all they could to try accommodate as I made the mistake of booking in and pre paid my stay on a non flex system..
Restaurant staff Kasia and Denisa made our stay worthwhile. Well done to you all,
- T3222PMfredw (6/5): Disappointed - The outside of the building looks unkept inside ok, No wifi or TV working, blue badge parking not available due to none blue badge cars parked in disabled parking
- D2458RYjanined (10/5): Comfortable 3 night stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 3 night stay - hotel is perfectly placed for accessing the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth by car. Free Parking. Rooms were spacious and clean, reception staff - Ali in particular was friendly and helpful in fulfilling our request for a ground floor room
- 102luizap (10/5): Great money value, nice area, - Great staff, great experience, very helpful, the receptionist was more than helpful with my situation, the room are very clean and friendly staff
- NeilGu (10/5): Nice hotel with an exceptional receptionist! - We were staying after a cruise, but managed to disembark hours earlier than expected so arrived to see if we could just drop our bags off as it was 0830. The gentleman at reception, whose name I've completely forgotten (sorry) was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Rather than just taking our bags, he offered to have our room made up early and offered us a drink in the breakfast bar while we waited. Literally 20 minutes later, he gave us our room keys.
We had booked the meal deal and, after a couple of misunderstandings over the menu had an ok meal with a nice glass of wine before retiring for an early night
The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, the shower was a good temperature and there was tea and coffee!
Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and tasty, as normal. Premier Inn breakfasts have always been good and I was pleased to see this site was no different.
After we checked out, the same gentleman on reception allowed us to check our baggage in while we went to an event.
Every member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful.
Thank you for a great stay!
- D2577NDcameronr (2/5): No receptionist - Have rang the reception 14 times and still no answer I don’t understand how someone can’t answer the phone and it being a Sunday night it’s a joke
- Arden24 (8/5): One night pre-cruise stay - A comfortable and convenient place to stay before embarking on a cruise. In fact we have already booked to stay again before our next cruise in 2026. The hotel is a bit tired in places and our room was very warm - 2 large fans were supplied to counteract this. Breakfast is served in the 5th floor restaurant which offers great views of Southampton. Nb the carpark is small, I would advise arriving early to get a space. The carpark charge is in addition to your room rate and is paid on departure. I think it is £13 for 24 hours.
- GlobeTrotting794290 (10/5): Wonderful Team at South Mimms! - We have been coming to South Mimms every month for several years with our families. We actually go out for missionary work on the universal basis of humanity. We typically occupy 10-15 rooms each time, and your team have got to know us by our names now! They know who to expect every month. Wonderful service with a friendly smile!
- NileshV58 (10/5): Relaxing and warm! - Hina is always warm when we arrive, we are always here every month and feel like home!! Service with a smile and we have ben coming for over a year now!
- DavidBursonThomas (10/5): Autumn in Southampton - This hotel is a hidden gem near the centre of Southampton. Deputy manager Martin was an absolute star… he could not have done more to facilitate our stay
- kirstygQ4444QO (10/5): Excellent!! - Stayed here a few times and always a great experience, helpful staff and always friendly.
Had the breakfast which is always good value for money and very tasty
- bridgetcL5260UM (10/5): This hotel is literally run by angels <3 - I was there for two nights to escape a domestic violence situation and the hotel staff literally saved my life. My ex-partner had smashed up my phone so they let me use the phone all day both days to communicate with police, shelters, and my parents in Canada. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious.
- hazellA2504PZ (10/5): Very nice and staff very friendly cleared tables quickly - South Mimms London good
Good atmosphere
Room very clean bed comfy
Good value for money
No noise
Good amenities
Staff service exceptional all very clean. Clears away crockery quickly and efficiently will recommend
- adaochinket (8/5): Honest review - It was nice, although my last years experience was better in terms of variety of food. The bathroom noise is quite loud when the light is on. The staff are very friendly.
- T8386LUrosad (10/5): We were welcomed by lovely staff, who throughout our 4 days, did over and beyond for our big party. We're very greatful. - Mimms London, convenient for us.
Atmosphere was friendly
Room was clean, beds were comfortable
Great staff service!
Great value for money
No noice, I had peaceful sleep
Plenty of amenities
- Juliegant (8/5): Friendly staff and great location. - The staff here are amazing and really do their jobs as they want to, not cause they have to. It really makes your stay memorable. Sharon was so helpful both prior to arrival over the phone and whilst there. Shes dedicated. Ali on reception was most helpful and kind, also joby at breakfast. Peyman just never stopped smiling, his passion to serve everyone was really appreciated. We arrived as strangers, just another number, but left feeling like a friend. Stayed as a family in 2 rooms for a business to peppa pig world. This hotel suits all from families , workmen, business men and couples. Looking forward to return one day. Yes, as some reviews say it may appear abit updated in some rooms etc , but it did not spoil our stay at all. Only thing I didn't like was when it came to leave - end of. Book and have a nice time, how we did. Really appreciated the care over my daughters coeliac gluten free foods at breakfast that's a medical requirement and not through choice. Thank you to the chef too.
- Hanbeth (4/5): Dirty! - This is an ideal base for Peppa Pig World which was why we chose it. We’ve also stayed in so many Premier Inns but this was by far the worst.
Bedroom carpet was filthy and needed replacing, all the edges of the carpet were thick with dust. They clearly hadn’t been hoovered properly in years.
Wall lights above the bed didn’t work, not ideal when trying to get two toddlers to bed, reception came down with lightbulbs that didn’t work either- said that something had probably blown but at 8pm we just put up with it.
Toddler on camp bed woke up with questionable bites on their body.
Didn’t go to the Vine next door, it looked grim.
Only positives are the location and the staff were friendly.
- nicolepX6712BW (8/5): Marcin is amazing! He’s a real gem. - Yesterday, I arrived at the Premier Inn City Centre Southampton and the reception staff was unfriendly and dismissive. No customer services training. I met three different reception staff yesterday with the same attitude! Use the self service machines and don’t disturb us! It was as if the guests were an inconvenience. Today Marcin (Polish) is on Reception duty and he is polite, professional, made guests feel as if they mattered. His customer service training is excellent. He is a real asset to this hotel and deserves recognition and a promotion. Great customer service! Keep it up!
- xraymikey (2/5): Disappointing stay — unhygienic and uncomfortable - I rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was genuinely unpleasant. The room was filthy: carpets were stained and littered with cigarette burns, and the entire space reeked of stale socks. There was no air circulation system, so I had to keep the window open, which meant constant street noise.
Under the bed was thick with dust and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. The bathroom fan was deafening, and one of the ceiling lights kept flickering, making it hard to relax. Overall, the lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance made the stay feel more like a punishment than a getaway.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone until it undergoes a serious deep clean and refurbishment.
- V1360KGjoannas (10/5): Great place to stay, close to motorway - Rooms very clean , great staff, would stay again, food is great, anyone is very helpful, could do with free parking.....
- H2512DPmanuelas (10/5): Lovely hotel - Nice and clean room , delicious breakfast and amazing staff. Happy to help with extra pillows and towels.
We always love to come back
- Osborne-10 (10/5): Trip to Peppa Pig World - Great location for visit Peppa Pig world. Wacky Warehose next door in the Vine Pub. Great value meals also in the Pub. Fantastic breakfast in Priemer Inn restaurant. All staff really helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
- sarahwE1320KN (6/5): Conveniently located hotel, poor restaurant experience - Convenient hotel, close to the motorway. A little dated from the outside, but the rooms are okay. Loved the towel arrangement by Leona and Mimi on the bed on arrival. Felt momentarily like being on holiday. The restaurant service in the evening was incredibly slow, given that they were almost empty.
- davidcV4715QL (10/5): Great service - Freddie was amazing and very helpful!.
The was decent.
They did show the football which was a nice way to fill an evening.
- Zagazig (2/5): Awful hotel. Do not stay. - The first two rooms we were offered stank of mould. There only other room available had exposed carpet grips which my children could’ve stepped on, a window which wouldn’t close (ground floor room), mouldy windows, and what looked like blood on the bathroom mirror. The “ultimate” WiFi was extremely slow, and the breakfast was stale. I have reported the issues to Premier Inn and they’ve not resolved it satisfactorily and said they won’t reply to my concerns further.
- 936aymank (10/5): Great customer service - Freddy was very helpful at reception. I really appreciate his help! 10/10 service. I definitely will be coming back to this premier inn !
- 889chrisj (8/5): Visiting family near by - The Hotel location was excellent. The outside was a little tired. There are no electric car charging bays.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel smelt a little musty, and unfortunately the windows were non opening to get fresh ventilation so the air con was on all time. Breakfast was excellent 👌
- Adventurer30994 (6/5): Disappointing visit to our regular Premier Inn - Noise in bathroom when light was on. Missed discount code for parking as sign was away from machine. Why not have sign on machine as well as where it is now ?
- Maria Bernadette (10/5): - Excellent customer service
- Teresa da (6/5): - This was our 2nd stay. Sara at front desk was again amazing & made our stay very welcoming. Good value for the dollar but no facecloths or phones in the room is a bit disappointing.
- X7257ZEmatthewr (10/5): Great Time - Absolutely fantastic location and fantastic staff especially too Sharan and Amy they were brilliant and went above and beyond .
- DrewMcD_977 (10/5): Ideal base for local roaming - Tucked away, it's an ideal location and perfectly positioned to access local routes. All staff were friendly, particularly Sharon and Amy on the desk when we arrived. No forced niceties, but genuine welcoming personalities. Can't fault the service. Have been before here and will be back!
- Rita (8/5): - Staff is very nice. Good for a pre cruise stay.
Very good shopping opportunity.
The room was clean.
- Neil (10/5): - Great high street, lots to do and see
- Shrimatie (8/5): - Breakfast and dinner pkg was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good for short stays. No AC or heat - only fan and portable heater. No safe to keep valuables, no hooks for hand towel or clothes. Seriously needs to be renovated.
- ruthsQ4300WN (6/5): Smelly room - Great location, however room smelt of urine and hotel just gave a cleaning material and didn't clean or check it out themselves, skirting hadn't been cleaned for years, reception not really interested in how the room smelt just told us the hotel was full.
- Alicia (10/5): - Clean room, nice staff, very good breakfast
- Susan (6/5): - The bathtub was so high that getting in and out to shower was difficult. Tub very slippery then I saw in small print on a sign on the towel rack that rubber shower mats were available at reception.
Furniture very worn but overall clean. Was so tired from travel that I barely noticed the hard bed and even harder pillows.
Great staff.
- robert (6/5): - The bathroom was not the most convenient, even though it appears resently renovated. The bath tub was totally on safe getting in & out for seniors. The bath faucets were to difficult to operate & complicated. Alot betters available on the market, maybe these were choosen due to price. The toilet interior bowel poorly design. When flushed, the flush leaves alot of stainig on the sides.
- HIROMI (6/5): - スタッフさんは親切だけど、とにかく時間がかかり、到着して部屋に入るまでフロントの手続きが、30分以上かかった。
- Nancy (8/5): - Lovely staff. Reasonable rates. Clean room. 20 minutes brisk walk to downtown. Good dinner when it finally came. Lol. They seemed to be short staffed in the dining room. Breakfast was buffet and nice. Overall a good stay.
- Bill (10/5): - Good position, attentive staff, very helpful.
- 612diap (10/5): Best Premier Inn experience! - Restaurant staff are very welcoming and friendly! The chef on duty, Flora the waitress and Sharon at front door. Foods were delicious, 10/10 quality and overall experience!
- nixxk2025 (10/5): Breakfast - Sharon in front desk and Flora are really friendly and very accommodating. The food was really great as well and I was pleasantly surprised to know that everything Paul is making was not fried at all!
- Deborah (10/5): - Excellent great location clean and a good size room.
- Randy (10/5): - The staff were outstanding. They made us feel welcome. They even loaned us charging plugs so we could charge our phones. Above and beyond.
- karin (10/5): - Great customer service!
- kayleighmI1387AE (10/5): Nicest staff - Me & my son have stayed at multiple premier inns around the country. This premier inn is by far our favourite. The bedrooms & bathrooms are always clean. The staff there are so kind, helpful & friendly. From the manager Sharan who is absolutely the sweetest lady to all the other staff.
They always make you feel welcome. The breakfast is fantastic I had the full English & the food was lovely, my son had yogurt, toast & croissants which he said were lovely. When we visit Paultons park we will always stay at this hotel. The only downside is there’s no air con & the fan we had wasn’t helping.
- Maria del Carmen (10/5): - Ha cumplido nuestras expectativas
- Butterflyeffect89 (10/5): Can not fault this hotel - We stayed here for 1 night so we could catch our cruise the next day. It was only a few miles to the docks and this was the closest Premier Inn that had onsite parking - so that's why we chose this one over a closer Premier Inn to the docks. The guy behind the desk was super helpful & nice. The room was clean & tidy - the only downfall was no aircon. We had 2 fans in the room but it was still like a sauna. Come night time it was cooler outside than in the room. Breakfast was very pleasant
- William (2/5): - Did not like this hotel. There was no air conditioning and we were not even informed of it his prior to making our reservation.
We canceled our stay and moved to better hotel.
I expect
- H493YBkarenc (10/5): Staff are fabulous - Stayed here to visit Peppa Pig World with our granddaughter and great granddaughter. The rooms were clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given adjoining rooms, as requested. Special mention must go to Sharon in the breakfast room. Our great granddaughter is autistic and found the noise overwhelming, as there were so many children there. Sharon kindly found us a table in the corner just outside the main area. It worked a treat and we were all able to enjoy our breakfast.
- Anthony (6/5): Good for 3 seasons but Summer - Service was friendly and prompt. Unfortunately, it was a warm Summer day and there are no air conditioners in the room. Our room did have a floor standing fan. The bathroom fan was squeaky, which could potentially wake up others. Otherwise, i would be happy staying in the other 3 seasons.
- I2993HTjackm (10/5): Lovely hotel and team - Lovely premier inn! Room nice and clean, staff very friendly and good location. Ate in the breakfast room, was a little busy due to school holidays but the breakfast team were on it with ensuring the buffet was constantly topped up and tables were clean ready for the next guests. Reception team also lovely when checking us in. Have stayed here a few times and always felt welcome each time. Special thanks to Sharon, Summer and Ali!
Thankyou for having us. We will be back next time!
- William (6/5): - No A/C and area was so so.
- kimberly (2/5): - This place is awful I would not recommend no ac and the fan in the room was dirty do not stay here
- Keith (4/5): - Old and not updated
- Wendy (4/5): - There was no air conditioning, mid summer. It was cooler outside. The room temperature was almost unbearable.
