- 981balt (10/5): Good Hotel Great Location and Great Staff - Excellent hotel very friendly staff good customer service and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Service to a high standard !!!
- budgetfussy (4/5): Very poor & embarrassing staff - Didn't want to give us the room we paid for, so the manager changed it. Room keys didn't work. Manager came to the room, and blamed us for blocking the key!!??? (How does one even do that??)
Turns out he gave us a room of a couple that was supposed to have checked out that morning, but didn't, and didn't pay either. But we were blamed for blocking the key!!!!
Of all the hundreds rooms, they changed our actual booked room to one that was still occupied!! Unbelievable.
I asked to see the original quadruple room we booked, and they refused.
Asked for bedsheet, the lady brought a duvet. And then rolled her eyes when I said I asked for a bedsheet.
The little shop downstairs had about 10 out of order signs everywhere. I asked whether I could still buy something and they ring it up at the front desk. The front desk guy walked over and was confused, and I had to point out all the out of order signs. Its like suddenly a light bulb went on...
We ordered some drinks from the bar, and between 3 people it took 10 minutes to do the order. They didn't have the wine, or wine glasses. I asked 3 times (in German) what time the bar closed, and the guy (same one as the out of order sign one) didn't understand. His colleague had to explain the question again ( in German!!!!)
Rooms were clean and room staff were friendly.
All the front desk staff are embarrassingly poor!!!!
- markwW2018GN (10/5): Helpful staff - I needed to change my booking date Kelly from the reception team was very helpful and explained what I needed to do. Thank you
- 74honeyb (10/5): Great stay - As returning customers we would like to thank All the staff for their wonderful customer services especially Tony, lovely lady, always polite and a friendly face to greet you. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed.
- sampK2254BC (10/5): Great hotel great staff - Great hotel short walk from station
Perfect as attended Nottingham arena and again a short walk away
Very friendly staff would recommend
- joshbren21 (10/5): Amazing stay - it’s clean and tidy and helpful smiley team and the breakfast is hot and it’s a good location also had free hot chocolate and biscuits in my room
- Dreamer22351692772 (8/5): Clean and comfortable stay - Exactly what you expect from a premier inn. Clean and comfortable, with good parking facilities. Ideally situated for the Nottingham Arena and the centre
- corinnegB2402RR (2/5): Disgusting - I am a disabled woman and a 72 year old who booked two nights at Premier Inn, London Road, Nottingham.
I was late for my dinner booking as I was called by my friend, who was very distressed and I wanted to comfort her so consequently missed my slot. I went downstairs anyway and sat at a table. The server, Diane, came over and I couldn’t hear her properly as I have a hearing aid. She said my dinner slot was now at 7.30pm and it was now 6.40pm. So I ordered a coffee, then she went so I shouted over “well I might as well look at the menu whilst I’m here” but she deemed that as rude and wouldn’t serve me at all. I told her I’m a diabetic and need to eat but she wouldn’t take any notice of me. She was coercive, bullying and rude. She wouldn’t even let me have a drink. She wouldn’t let anybody buy a drink for me either. She wouldn’t let me speak to the Manager and after coming up from Hastings, 250 miles away, I’ve had to starve. She was coercive, cruel and bullying towards me. She kept saying to me that she “didn’t come to work to be spoken to like that”when I didn’t even do or say anything.
This would have been my 10th stay at Premier Inn London Road, Nottingham. I am a business person and your female server treated me, a 72 year old, diabetic woman like a leper.
I wanted my money back but they investigated and said they wouldn’t pay out as I was abusive to them. I was not in any shape or form.
The stay was almost £200.
I cancelled the second night and went to stay at Bestwood which was brilliant.
- J3697BAbilld (4/5): Avoid this hotel - Not a great experience. Room was tired, tatty and not very clean. The sink plug was stuck The bed was not very comfortable. My wife was bitten during the night, possibly by bed bugs. At breakfast 3 items were not available which made a mockery of the unlimited breakfast
- Pathos111 (10/5): Not enough staff on duty - We saw Duran Duran at the arena on the 26th October and stayed overnight here. The two lady staff were outstanding but run ragged. They had to cover reception booking in all the Duran lovers(87 rooms) plus run the bar and serve in the restaurant. It was a ridiculous scene. We heard the phrase sorry for the wait all evening. I asked if they were short of staff due to sickness but was told no this is the normal set up with two staff doing everything. We were totally shocked, it was clear the movers and shakers at head office put profits ahead of staff welfare and customer experience. Lorraine and Michelle worked their socks off and had to also deal with a few disgruntled customers. I am appauled at Premier Inn and we will not stay at another one after seeing how they treat their staff.
- jasoncM3876SN (10/5): Outstanding - Outstanding
Very welcoming
very friendly and helpful staff definitely recommend.
Couldn’t ask for anything more than we received.
Bedroom very clean and beds very comfortable.
Had a very good night sleep.
- Whitekni6ht (10/5): Excellent customer service, quality comfy room excellent value for money. Highly recommended AAA+ - Welcoming friendly and attentive staff that provided an excellent service.
Room was spacious and clean.
Bed and pillows was very comfy and the bath and power shower was very good too.
The fully stocked bar and lounge area gave us a place to relax, socialise and unwind with family and friends.
The restaurant was excellent too and the breakfast was excellent quality and cooked to perfection.
This is one of the nicest well run premier inns we’ve ever stayed n and we’ll definitely book to stay here again in the future.
- swapnilg301 (4/5): Terrible hotel but great parking - I had the displeasure of stay at the hotel for 2 nights. The room had a smell l, and the bed had seen better days (despite the premier inn guarantee). My complaints around the bed and my room not being cleaned were ignored. I was told that the reception has a poster informing guests that they had to request cleaning. There was nothing seen in reception.
The cost of the stay was £106/night and therefore not cheap. I was very disappointed with the hotel and staff. The advice the staff were giving around using the car park and paying every time you leave was not accurate (based on the website information).
- LusciousLou86 (8/5): Great location for arena - Comfy bed, good value breakfast and evening meal deal with a drink all for £26.99. Food was good . Handy location for the arena. Parking on site. Staff onsite, generally friendly.
Negative points… Some areas could do with a good clean and dust, especially the restaurant windows and ledges and a good tidy and sweep around the outside seating area. Bath taps also. Not much wardrobe space and lighting bad for doing hair and makeup.
A bit of maintenance needed in the bathroom.
Would we stay again.. yes!
- Q5239VGjadej (10/5): Great - Great location for motorpoint arena. Room was very clean and hotel in general is clean. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them.
- Egressgary (8/5): Good location for motor point arena. But... - My wife and I stayed there with our granddaughter. The staff where friendly and the reception was actually manned!
Our room was a bit small. The hotel is not air-conditioned! We had to leave the windows open and being on a busy street, it was noisy all night so we didn't get a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was nice, unlike other premier inns, breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice. There was also a small selection of cereal, toast etc.
It was a perfect location for motor point arena, about a 10 minute walk.
Overall, only OK.
- 294SteveB294 (6/5): Regular Visitors - This is one if not my favourite PI. It’s a nice setting and handy for the town centre and my football club on Meadow Lane. Now I know my comments won’t make any difference. A couple of things about standards slipping. Painful check in. Bar not stocked with draught beer. And the minuscule amount of tea and coffee. Rooms are great and no one can complain about the noise because of where it is. No air con but ok it’s only hot 3 months of the year. Biggest gripe is the disparity between the costs of the same room from a Friday at £57 to a Sat at an outrageous £192. This cannot be justified. And food is on top. You are better off getting Booking.com..
- Lucy120012 (6/5): Good, clean hotel but mega busy noisy road all night - Clean hotel, just a warm sleep and rather noisy as slap bang next to the main road on first floor. I had to have my windows open as no fan, and thick duvet, could have been worse as luckily the summer heat has passed but I was still pretty warm. I’m glad I brought my sleeping earplugs as the road was non stop all night, sirens, all sorts. I could still hear it all but not as bad, had I not of had them I think I would have had a sleepless night! I know much can’t be done with the location of the hotel but a warning.
- ashevc (8/5): Well suited for short stays - (+) The location is good - directly outside the old town walls. The main train station and theater are within walking distance, and a subway station is directly opposite. The hotel has a cozy lobby, a 24/7 reception, an elevator, a bar open till midnight, and a self-service snack corner. The rooms are a bit small, but clean and very quiet when the window is closed. There is air conditioning, power outlets and USB ports by the bed, and a kettle. Good breakfast buffet is served in a spacious hall - no waiting queue. The staff is helpful and polite. Good value for money.
Parking: there is a hotel-owned underground parking garage (for a fee) reachable directly by elevator or stairs, however with only a dozen of slots. With a bit of luck, one can find also a free parking slot on the nearby streets.
(-) Carpet. Small fridge in the room might be useful, particularly in summer. Very basic amenities.
- Q8569CPmitchellw (10/5): Good stay - Lorraine and helen were great from the start always very helpful we stayd for a few days for work.rooms were clean and beds comfortable
- Avux99 (8/5): Premier Inn - You need the room key to access lift. This could have been pointed out to us at check in but wasn’t? Room for 4 people was small, bearly any spare floor space. Hotel nice & modern. Bar & lounge takes up the whole of the ground floor. Aldi just around the corner which is very handy.
- Tlise (10/5): Handy for the station - Friendly staff on reception and the bar. Quick and easy check in. Rooms were clean. Summer heat so the duvets were removed which was perfect for us and there was a fan.
The shower was the only let down, refitted but badly dripping everywhere than where it was meant to be. Hopefully it was sorted by the maintenance man who called next morning. He was very apologetic for disturbing us and was polite :)
- SimonB1980 (8/5): Great value stay (in a very warm room) near Nottingham city centre - Friendly staff on arrival. Parking about £17 for 24 hours which is expensive, though managed by YPS, a separate company. Large room, (202), 24C in there (it was a warm day) so not ideal for sleeping. No fan provided (I always bring my own just in case), windows do open, but not much. Fast, reliable Wi-Fi. Comfortable bed, large desk, lots of plug sockets.
Using the kettle tripped the electricity, reception staff already seemed to be aware of the issue when I reported it in the morning (I hadn't used the kettle on arival day), so why wasn’t I told on arrival? The fusebox was quicly rectified and I was allowed to get hot drinks from the breakfast area in the morning instead, a small inconvenience having to walk down 2 flights of stairs each time.
The main road outside was busy and noisy. I was on the side of the building. Short walk to city centre.
Proper AC would be a real benefit, along with a communal ice machine guests could use for drinks? Maybe a glass in the room as well as cups?
- AlWhite123 (8/5): Fabulous location - Great location in the centre of Passau. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that I had to pay for parking, which I object to.
Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean large bedrooms , very comfy beds.
I would certainly come again and recommend
- roberthE2826FT (10/5): Our first away together in 18 years - Oh my god....absolutely stunning location and the hotel aint bad either. Premier Inn standards of cleanliness and service..oooh and a happy hour :) The car park is tight, just keep your head. The dreiflussstadt is ein schon stadt! Just be aware that not everywhere is open on a wednesday, we did find somewhere to eat, but the more sort after places weren't
- MultiTripper (10/5): Wonderful 3 night stay - Truly great Premier Inn for a 3 night stay in beautiful Passau.
From the minute we arrived it was all good.
The hard working reception staff here know how to make you feel welcome. Lovely people.
The location is just fantastic - everything you need or want to see is within walking distance.
The room we had on the 3rd floor was really spacious and the air con worked.
So much storage space for clothes you could stay a month. If only there had been a fridge, but we only paid for a normal room.
The big shower room was also good. All very clean and new looking.
Rooms only cleaned every 3 days but we got more milk for our coffee and towels from reception.
Wi-Fi was excellent.
If we were staying in Passau again - we would only want to stay here.
Thank you to all the kind staff of Premier Inn.
- Kaneda17 (2/5): Very unfriendly staff! - This probably was the wirst experience in a Hotel that I ever had. The staff was unfriendly overwhelmed and very unprofessional . Premier Inn will never see me and my money again!
In addition:
Not enough Parking available for the amount of guests.
- PetrH655 (10/5): Very comfortable hotel - Great location for shopping near the river, clean, quiet, amazing bed, parking in hotel garage for 15 Euro. All people in reception were amazing. Breakfast wasn't bargain, a cake would be nice next time. Premier Inn is becoming my favoured chain hotel.
- Merrybridge (2/5): Theft from room - Our friends and I stayed in this hotel last year so stayed again this time as we liked the location and parking. However this time my purse was stolen from our room. I didn’t notice until my phone started beeping with texts from my bank at around 0200 hrs. We went to reception shortly after this. We told the receptionist that we had been robbed and that the room door hadn’t been forced therefore it was someone who had used a keycard. The receptionist said this “wasn’t possible”. I asked that she checked the room access and she said she couldn’t. Another member of staff called the police but we had to go to the police station at around 3am (who were v good). The second member of staff also said they couldn’t access info as to who had entered our room but someone in the morning could. Thankfully any fraudulent payments on my cards have been refunded but we lost around 230€ and £25 cash. The hotel didn’t really care and did the minimum to help, ie called the police. My friend was paying the car park the next morning (15€) and was asked by a different member of staff “how was your stay?”. When he replied “awful, our friend’s were robbed” there was literally no reaction. Even an offer of free parking would’ve been appreciated. We were due to stay here again at the end of our holiday to Austria but we’ve cancelled and are staying elsewhere in Germany. My friend who had booked the hotel received a scam email weeks earlier saying that her card details needed updating. Perhaps a coincidence but there are clearly staff members at this hotel who are criminals, whether b y assisting whoever did the theft or carrying out the actual theft themselves. So best to avoid the hotel
- ASH-Guestrelations_1 (8/5): good for the pocket hotel - My first time in Nurenberg and so finding the hotel was quite an adventure as my gps took me to another premium inn next to the train station. The receptionist explained which hotel I should find and said it was a 5 minute walk further - more like 20 minutes and 5 times asking strangers where this premier inn was. When I arrived the poor receptionist could not speak any German, so I quickly switched to English. Had to pay upfront without having a chance to see the room. Being a hotelier Iwas quite peeved by this, but I paid, found my room and was most surprised. Neat, clean and for a change in Germany - amenities such as coffee and tea and a kettle. Breakfast was excellent. I will stay there again when I again visit this incredibly interesting city.
- M336QOkatarinal (10/5): Amazing trip - comfortable family hotel. excellent location in the city center close to the city's main attractions. Delicious breakfast, wide choice. Polite staff, but I want to especially mention Yulia, she was very helpful in many ways, a wonderful, kind girl ☺️ Thank you very much for the amazing hospitality
- 262LisaH262 (2/5): The hotel was fabulous for the money and all but 2 staff were fantastic. I encountered racism for the first time ever! - Hotel great but 2 bar staff were very rude in making me wait nearly 25 mins despite not serving anyone else, this was an episode of sheer racism which I reported today on check out , I eventually was served when a nice German customer saw what was happening and asked that they served me immediately, totally unacceptable behaviour!
- 47JoeK (10/5): Great hotel- great family rooms - I use Premier Inn's in the UK on a regular basis, both business and personal, and I am a big fan. This was the first time using one of their German hotels and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel had all of the great features of the UK hotels- comfortable beds, quiet rooms, great pillow choices, reasonable price and a fantastic breakfast (kids eat free).
One big advantage this hotel has on any of the UK hotels I have stayed in is the lobby area. It was lovely. Warm, friendly and inviting decor with large comfortable seats and sofas- more akin to a 4*/ 5* hotel. The bar was also well stocked and pretty reasonable priced, although service could be a little annoying at times as it was manned by the same people working reception.
Hotel location is also great, being a 3/4 min walk from Opernhaus U-Bahn station which runs direct from the airport in 10 mins. There was also a large underground carpark for those driving.
- TRavelingwego1980 (10/5): Passau hotel - Great location. Not far from the train station- we walked to it. In the old city center , close to restaurants, shops, music. Comfortable rooms, luggage storage. We loved meandering through this city.
- 974gilbertoc (4/5): Don't give up. - I think the hotel must have an environmentalist policy as we had to ask for a new set of towels, going down to reception, and they only cleaned the room every other day. I like coming back from a long walk to a tidy room, but it didn't happen. We also had to be careful and limit the use of recycled toilet paper as we didn't want to go back down to reception.
- xydancer (8/5): Premier Inn quality - The usual Premier Inn quality at a sensible price. Comfy bed, good wifi, all the facilities you would need. Friendly check-in. The rooms away from the street (which is most of them) are very quiet too.
