Guest Reviews
- F854PWalanc (4/5): Not very happy - Cleared the hot breakfast buffet away when i arrived at 08.45 for my breakfast booked for 9am. Coffee machine out of order. Called last orders at the bar in the evening at 9.30pm and closed at 10 pm. Ridiculous. On arrival the room was cold ,no heat in the room. reception gave me an oil heater to plug in,
- janepE7238KN (10/5): Great check in experience! Thanks Sue - Excellent stay at Premier Inn Lancaster! Thank you Sue (duty manager on reception) for such a welcoming and efficient check in.
The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully comfortable. We slept soundly after a long hard journey.
- JoH1967 (8/5): Comfortable but a bit Shabby - The beds are as good as ever and we had a good night's sleep. Staff too are friendly and helpful. However the room itself, carpets and upholstered chair, lowered baths and toiletry bottles were looking decidedly shabby. We have been using this hotel on and off for quite a few years and although they have changed the communal areas, some effort needs to be put into the rooms.
- beaufinlayo (10/5): Best staff ever! - I was blown away by the professionalism and kindness of each and every member of staff! Very lovely place to stay and everyone is very helpful and friendly.
- georgebD4979CT (10/5): A lovely experience , so so comfatable. - Brilliant, friendly and extremely helpful staff.
Great room. I will always use this premier inn
when in this area.
Thank you guys.
- t166err (10/5): Exceeded expectations. - Absolutely brilliant stay. Food was amazing. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly stay here again. Small charge to use car park but being close to the stadium i understand why.
- 548brodiem (10/5): Missing it already - Lovely hotel, very clean and tidy. The halls were very quiet, with the windows shut you couldn't hear any traffic or outside noise, the room had black out curtains and the bed was very comfy so the sleep was amazing! The room we had was a premier plus so had a mini fridge, coffee machine, kettle, tea bags/coffee/coffee pods etc. Also had a TV so we could have easily hibernated for the week! We had breakfast each morning at the onsite pub place which was so nice, and we had an evening meal there too on one of the nights which was nice pub grub but they had lots of different options on the menu, I just really fancied some classic pub grub. Staff were all very nice and friendly. Just a perfect place to relax and recuperate.
- Wanderer33261621795 (4/5): Avoid - Arrived a little early and had to wait to 3pm to check in woman said rooms were ready but its a strict 3pm policy unless you pay £15 would not pay £15 to enter the room 20 mins earlier which then causes a big queue to check in a the most smallest desk as the self check in queue was just as big and slow . Room was spacious for a family but we had no cold water all taps were running just hot not good when you need to make drinks so had to keep going to reception for them to give us cold pints of water . £5 to park the car for 24 hours worst premier inn I’ve stayed in with such miserable un friendly staff
- redimp57 (6/5): Terrible bathroom - Room 107 very tired bathroom. Toilet not properly fixed to the wall so wobbles about with every movement. Silicone seal all around the floor completely away from the wall. The floor had big dips in it where it was clear there had been leaks or water damage.
- abbiesm96 (10/5): Great value - Exceeded our expectations. Great value for money. One of the more modern premier inn's we have stayed at. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, can't complain.
Car parking was easy and a big car park, not far out the city centre.
- GlobeTrotting711145 (10/5): Spot on - Located a fair stretch from town we were worried we would find this unconventional. However, the friendly staff gave us a map and told us about the park and ride bus. So we left our car at the hotel, safe, and caught the bus which is every 15 mins into the city. This saved us battling the one way system and a huge parking cost. So a great start!
breakfast was great as always, room was really clean and we had no disturbances through the night. Good value for money and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The atmosphere was friendly and we are already looking to rebook.
- B9338YXbrendae (10/5): Highly qualified staff Kelly - Exceptional service by Kelly who was highly professional when l nearly pass out with diabetes. She looked after me provided a drink and a banana to get my sugar levels up while she also attended to other guests checking them in . Everything was clean spotless and the food was top quality. Good team work with the staff helping each other
Would definitely recommend it’s the best Premier Inn l have ever stayed in .
- markcL3116YA (10/5): Great staff - Fantastic staff at this hotel make a dated site a pleasurable experience. Thanks to Bill and Sue help was always at hand In fact all the staff we met were wonderful. Many thanks
- johndK486EL (10/5): Great stay, highly recommend - Stayed at Elland Road as it was the nearest option for the Leeds United game.
Bar was busy but had a really good vibe to it. Staff were really friendly and the room was spotless. Will definitely return when I next see Leeds play at home.
- JBReardon75 (10/5): Ideal location and extremely friendly and helpful staff - We've stayed here before and it was excellent: friendly staff and a very accessible location. Most recently we stopped off here for breakfast as a walk-in. Extremely clean, excellent value for money and lovely staff. All very much appreciated so thank you so much.
- MsAdalene (10/5): Lovely bed and super pillows! - On way to Artigas 111 in Benidorm for a toastie, stopped here for the most wonderful sleep ..like ever.!
Comfy beds and super pillows.Would return .Fab!
- B2690OSdereks (10/5): Elland Road - Have been staying in numerous Premier Inn hotels lately and have always been well looked after , that said , Elland Rd has something special to offer , chiefly the warmth and welcoming nature of the staff here , and , special mention goes to Kirsty , thank you for your hospitality .
- alastairt266 (10/5): Great location, fantastic staff! - Fantastic Premier Inn, in a great location for the stadium, but also only a short bus ride from the city centre. It's also easily accessible from the motorway, but far enough away that you can't hear it. The staff were phenomenal throughout our stay and cannot thank them enough for their help. Also very clean and not too dated like some premier inns can be. Will definitely stay again the next time I am in Leeds!
- A102KLclarem (10/5): Home from home - Visiting for a wedding, and needed a nights stay. A smooth book in with hotel staff.
Stopped in for an evening meal, and had a great curry.
Waitresses attentive to dietary needs, very friendly and informative of the local area.
Lovely breakfast in the morning, especially when it came to frying our eggs a certain way.
WELL DONE ALL!
Room as expected as with all your hotels, Excellent stay, with perfect premier in hosts.
We will return
- Jayde1983 (10/5): Sarah is ace! - Sarah was amazing! Really nice host and looked after us. Hotel was quite busy but she was still really attentive and caring. Friendly face after a long work day. Give her a pay rise!
- harryfB4069TC (10/5): Great service all round! - My friends and I had a great stay! The manager Kerrie was so accommodating and helpful, she made sure our rooms were all on the same floor which made our lives easier after.
The rest of the staff were great as well, everything was clean and tidy. We could not have asked for better service, this is the best Premier Inn stay I’ve had.
- 287kaitlanm (10/5): Amazing staff - Stayed for a boxing event in Leeds, check in was so quick and easy, staff are so friendly and are up for having a laugh- especially at the bar. Went out for the night but breakfast was good in the morning, full fry up is what was needed! Comfy bed, only a shame that you have to pay for parking now!
- Bradley (10/5): - Nice place
- O3127MWpaulc (10/5): Great night stay superb value but parking should be free for guests - My go to hotel when staying in Leeds got a great deal £43 for a Friday night with free breakfast for me and the Mrs. We stayed in room 327 was nice and quiet clean and warm …opposite side of hotel faces motorway try avoid if you can. I generally call on morning of my booking to request the quieter side and it’s never a problem.
Staff are all lovely really friendly went out for tea but me and my 2 sons who live in Leeds came back for a few beers vibe in bar was nice we sat in a corner hotel had music on low fir back ground noise proper old school tunes on Smooth Radio …..Cruzcampo on draft ice cold and lush bar staff friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Brekkie this morning was great full English left with a full belly …..see you all in November guys.
Only small gripe is guests having to pay for parking was a fiver don’t think guests should have to pay tbh
- 420mikee (8/5): The staff are excellent. - Firstly, all of the staff without exception were friendly, courteous and efficient. This also applies to the adjoining Brewer's Fayre. The room itself was clean and and dust free. The bathroom was also clean and the shower works well. The towels were a little bit past their prime, but they were undoubtedly both clean and fresh. The continental breakfast too was fine. Not amazing, but probably due to the turnover, it all seemed fresher than many. Certainly nothing to complain about.
The exterior of the building is rather tired and could undoubtedly do with a refresh. The only real negative is that my room was very close to the A589. As a result, it could gets quite noisy, especially late at night/very early morning as it is on one of the arterial routes to the city. The windows to the room were double glazed and there is also secondary glazing. However, in keeping with the general fabric of the building, they're past their best and could do with replacing with something more efficient. The noise of traffic can at times, be intrusive. In keeping with all of the Premier Inns that I've stayed in, the Ultimate WiFi is incredibly slow and I would certainly not advocate anyone paying for it. The only benefit I can see over the free version, is that once signed in, you're in for the day.
The parking is currently 'free'. However, I feel so it should be given the costs of the rooms and facilities on offer. A number of Premier Inns have started charging for car parking which is extremely mean spirited. I understand that there are plans to extend this to all branches in the future. An additional £6.00 or so per day parking fee just about tips the cost into the same amount as the Holiday Inn, which may influence my choice in the future.
Overall, this is was a comfortable stay and I would certainly return here, which is more than I can say about some of the other branches. Again, the friendlies of the staff is a real positive here and it really does make a difference.
- lheddietheeagle (4/5): Not the best we have had - Not the best experience, staff very good, food good, cleanliness of the bathroom way off the mark, not sure when the taps were last ran all full of black matter.
- judithcH7171SG (4/5): Disappointing experience - Our experience at this premier inn was somewhat disappointing in many ways. We requested a disabled person room for a wheelchair user. At first glance the room was very suitable however the bed was so low that the guest wasn’t able to get off it without the help of 2 people. The bedding in one of the rooms was dirty (covered in makeup from a previous guest . It is quite far from any amenities to eat therefore we were limited to eating in the restaurant which was poor quality food. We had the steak dinner which was cold when served. Again in the morning we had breakfast which was an all you can eat cooked breakfast however there were items on the menu that weren’t available and what was available was lukewarm and very slow to arrive leaving a lot of people queuing waiting, it was to be paid for before eating so we were left with no choice but to put up with it.
Altogether we were very disappointed with the whole experience sadly.
- TonyDublin_Ireland (6/5): Pretty average Premier Inn - We had stayed here before for match purposes about 6 years ago and it was good value for a home match. Getting into Leeds isn't straightforward on public transport and as we had a room at the back, the motorway noise was a constant factor... just an ok stay.
- 780geoffreyk (8/5): good - Staff (I think it was Erin) were particularly helpful...... The onsite Brewers Fare was Ok and the Breakfast Good......
- shanehK1473RS (10/5): Clean and comfortable. - The hotel was absolutely spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom clean. Staff were fantastic and courteous. Only issue being we could hear every move the heavy footed person(s) above us made.
All around though the hotel was fantastic. Really enjoyed my stay
- 761jilliang (2/5): Avoid - We never visit again as I was humiliated by the manager regarding paying for breakfast for our disabled son. To make matters worse we were all woken up by the males aching at 4.30 am. The rude manager needs training and on dealing with customers.
- jeremyturtle10 (8/5): Very good. - Very clean. Staff fantastic, premier plus rooms are great .
Free parking
Nothing is too much trouble
Highly recommended
- Daydream21802150540 (2/5): Worst Premier inn ever - AVOID! On arrival we thought it couldn't be as bad as it looked from the outside! We were wrong! Miles Better Hotels in city centre and better value for money! Worst premier inn we've stayed in we wouldn't return to this premier inn
- 674richiep (4/5): Tired rooms and not worth the money - Location is decent enough - handy as it’s just off the M6. Staff are pleasant enough, no complaints there. My room was on the first floor, facing the main road. The room heat control was not working, so the room was like a furnace when I arrived. Managed to open the window so a little fresh air came in along with the road noise. Toddled off to the Beefeater next door for a drink - and was surprised to get last orders at 9:45pm and it closed at 10pm!
More on the room. Very tired and in need of an update. The bathroom was woeful. Toilet was coming off the wall, all the sealant was loose and there were gaps. The floor was loose and rippled, the skirting was loose and the sealant had come away. The bath side was bulging and obviously quite rotten.
- Shanegrimes56 (2/5): Fetch ear plugs and order McDonald's. - I would not stay here again or recommend it for many reasons.
Reception staff are very miserable tiered and worn out.
Rooms are noisy (see attached vids) bathroom fan is so noisy until turned off and so is the air con unit it will keep you awake unless you turn them off like the motor or fan units needs urgent attention or replacement.
I raised this issue with staff but no feedback or result.
Contractors paradise so you will get woke up early as 05:30am.
Food is microwaved and over priced.
- pennyn753 (2/5): Unexpected visit - I was stranded train cancelled in the news all trains cancelled north Wednesday 3rd September.
rang reservations from the station quote £152 room only .
It was so warm nothing but a chair at the dressing table which was broken I wondered why there was a fan !The room was so overheated despite trying to open the windows.
Poor sleep how can they charge that when it's usually £80.
What a laugh good night's sleep guaranteed I was up 5am left 7.10am for my train back up to Edinburgh what a total disappointment.Seriously consider your stay
- sonnyq803 (2/5): Hot! - I am sure this would have been a regular Premier Inn experience, if it were not for the heat. It was a warm day and the building retained the heat throughout the night. The window cannot be opened very much and the fan provided could not cool the room. I realise that outdoor heat is outside anyone's control, but there must be a point where the temperature in a room is no longer fit for occupation. No sleep had.
- nlD5538XR (4/5): Not good experience - The room that we stayed in smelled of cigarette's smoke. We bought a room freshener from nearby Sainsbury. The ventilation in the room and shower is very poor and unhygienic . Our daughter found a centipede in the toilet floor. The breakfast is contracted to restaurant where the continental breakfast food was directly from store and of low and cheap grade. The sofas in the dinner area was torn and fillings were coming out. The dinner area poorly lit. The staff did their minimum work of welcoming guest and answering any queiries. It was not a good experience. We had some what same poor experience when we had stayed in Premier Inn Milton Keynes South hotel. We thought of it as one off location. But we now we have experienced low quality at two places to write this feedback.
- Flyer02934171410 (6/5): Very tired accommodation - A very "tired" hotel much in need of redecoration at very least but preferably a significant upgrade to include air circulation i not air conditioning. That main corridor off which access is provided to the rooms, was suffocatingly hot which perhaps compounded the airlessness in the rooms. Even conditioning that corridor in some way would help alleviate the problem. Decor is well past sell by .... by at least a decade,
- rtotterdell (10/5): A pleasant stay, with friendly and obliging staff - Sue and all the team are very welcoming. We have been before and will go again as we are made to feel as if it really matters to them that we have a pleasant stay. If we need anything the staff are always obliging, even when they are busy. The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed invites sleep! The room was clean, well prepared with a pleasant ambience,
- gooner026 (4/5): Smelly room - Room smelled of the drains. Opened window and let the room air while we went for dinner.
Came back used the toilet and flushed it, horrendous smell again.
The attached Brewers Fayre is tired, dated and in need of a deep clean.
No staff serving food, our desserts were forgotten about and after waiting 30 minutes we had to ask, waited a further 10 minutes.
