Guest Reviews
- Andrea (4/5): - The fan in the bathroom was extremely noisy and the noise from the neighbours was disturbing.
- V5401AYtrevorc (10/5): Welcoming - The reception staff Shaan and Gareth were very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Thank you very much for a welcoming stay.
- V5898GXannap (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Great location a few min walk from airport with great transport links. The room was a good size and comfortable. There were extra pillows, a vending machine, parking, and luggage storage. Check in is at 3pm, and we were able to check in at 2:30, and check out is 12pm, leaving time for a lie in.
- ManInABlueHat (4/5): Chaotic check-in - Chaotic check-in. One machine out of order, another would not process the reservation, leaving staff to handle a very long queue, while guests waited in a tatty reception area. On the plus side, the room was OK, and the breakfast excellent.
- X5470LYsarab (10/5): Excellent service - Our stay at the Premier Inn was great. The rooms were comfortable, and everything was well looked after. Tahmid gave solid service both in the restaurant and at reception friendly, quick, and helpful throughout our stay.
- A867CSmarkt (10/5): Top - I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were very welcoming, and the location was perfect—just a short walk to West Quay Shopping Centre. I’d definitely stay here again
- sgandy (10/5): Great for a couple of nights - Great room, great service, great breakfast, and best of all the shower was the best I've had in a while.
Overall, perfect for what I needed for a couple of nights.
- ElisabethH0786 (8/5): Attentive staff - Raman at reception was very helpful - she went out of her way to help me on various occasions.
The restaurant manager was also very helpful when there were no tables available
- bobcD5104UR (10/5): Great - Spacious, clean rooms and exceptionally friendly staff made my stay wonderful. Great location and excellent value..
- carletonh2023 (8/5): Overview of the week - We booked in 03/11/2025 and left 09/11/2025. The room was clean but dusty in some areas, the mattress was very stained.
The food has been very nice both for breakfast and evening meal. The downfall fall of the week was the process/service of how the evening meals have been.
On Monday the dessert order was lost so had to re order as well they didn’t have all the items on the menu
Tuesday we booked a table for 18:00 but nobody came to serve us until 19:15
Wednesday our mains order was lost so had to re order after a 45 minute delay
Thursday they forgot my kids order leaving us to wait for his to come and our food was cold
Friday my mains order was wrong (I wanted pizza with 3 toppings but when my order arrived I had different toppings that requested)
I think Saturday was the only day everything seemed to have gone as expected.
My only other complain was on the Sunday morning the fire alarm went off at 06:00, upon speaking to reception I was told it was a false alarm however it went on for 45 minutes.
I would like to mention that Jason our server for the majority of the days had good customer relations, remembered our faces after a couple of nights service. You can definitely tell he is trying to please everybody but possibly too much work for what seems like 1 server. I would recognise him to be an asset to the business.
I would like to compliment Karen I believe her name was (worked on the breakfast side of things), had conversations with us daily, remembered my sons name and played with him(he is 4 years old)
- LianneP8 (10/5): 5 🌟 - As always the staff in the restaurant especially Jason is so obliging and always goes above and beyond. New menu was a pleasant surprise. Southampton airport Premier Inn is always my go to place for a business trip and never disappoints.
- TracyTuckwell (2/5): Disgraceful Call Centre Staff when faced with a complaint with this hotel. - Re-write of my last review which seems to have been removed ?? Possibly due to photos I included of the lorry at 05.56am
Stayed a night at this hotel, Saturday to Sunday. Rudely awoken by a HGV at 5.30am who proceeded to manoeuvre out of carpark with reversing bleeping and shouting to his banksman. This continued for well over 35 mins including the time the driver sat in the lorry warming up his engine.
I sent a complaint to Premier Inn and followed up with a phone call as they failed to reply …… lady on phone at call centre was unhelpful to the point of saying “any disturbance from outside the hotel (even in their own carpark) is NOT A COMPLAINT THEY CAN OR WILL DEAL WITH. The driver and lorry were staying at the hotel….. Quite frankly Premier Inn do not give a damn about a good nights sleep, despite all their adverts on television saying to the contrary. LENNY HENRY WOULD NOT HAVE SLEPT FITFULLY AT THIS HOTEL..
**** Receptionist, Jacqui, was incredibly helpful and very apologetic. Shame the call centre staff couldn’t go to the same Charm School.
- christophermK4377AV (10/5): Good experience - Lovely comfortable bed room good size, shower was an attachment in the bath nice hot water and looking out of the window onto the edge of new forest. Just off the M27 very easy to find turn into the Vine inn car park and follow the road round plenty of parking spaces
- ahedger (4/5): Dirty, damp room. Wouldn’t recommend. - Stayed in Premier Inns a handful of times this year with mixed experiences. This was by far the worst. Poorly maintained, to the point of dirty, room.
Upon arriving the two staff behind the counter couldn’t have been any more disinterested or rude if they had tried.
The room (and public areas) was badly in need of repairs and maintenance. The room was damp (to the point of pillow etc feeling damp.). The TV from the room next door was clearly audible and the heating didn’t work, so the room was cold.
Bathroom had peeling paint, carpet lifting in the doorways, rusty towel rail etc. just nasty. Wouldn’t really recommend unless you fancy roughing it.
- pearlo559 (6/5): It was okay! - Hsk kept knocking on the door and disturbed our sleep even tho the checkout time was at 12. Overall the room was clean and nice.
- Rogerstone22 (10/5): Very restful atmosphere. - Best Premier Inn we have stayed in. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Very rare in my experience
- Smiffy65 (8/5): Great stay - Everything it says on the tin. Friendly stay, comfy rooms, free parking. Perfectly placed for Peppa Pig land, and Hungry Horse next door. And a Wacky Warehouse. Perfect.
- suz380 (8/5): Great restaurant service - Great service in the restaurant from Jason. Single female traveler and felt very much at ease and looked after.
Food was sufficient and tasty.
Would return again when in the area.
- Kimmo26 (10/5): Comfortable, affordable and super convenient before cruising out of Southampton - The location near the port as well as near shops was very convenient. The room was very clean and comfortable. Both the dinner and the breakfast we ate there were yummy and fairly priced.
There is no checkin counter, you use the self checkin kiosk but it was simple and efficient.
The only downside is that there no parking directly at the hotel and not drop-off/checkin parking either but it wasn’t such a big inconvenience since there is th shopping mall parking lot right behind the hotel.
- Xavina (8/5): Practical, good for one night or two - Good food and simple/practical stay with all the essentials. Temperature control in the room was poor and you check in on a machine
- katdL8926IL (10/5): Easy, friendly, great nights sleep & great location - Amazing accommodation- so close to Westquay and town, staff absolutely amazing & so friendly & helpful. Great food and a wonderful nights sleep every night!! Rooms & hotel spotlessly clean. Wonderful stay all round.
Could not recommend it more - we cannot wait to go back! 😊
- AI LIAN (10/5): - Quiet . Good showe
- Gary (8/5): - Great location. Easy walk to train station and right at airport's doorstep. Staff were friendly and helpful. Exceeded our expectations.
- Storyteller827238 (10/5): Always clean and comfortable - I frequently stay here on business and this stay was, as ever, excellent and comfortable. Raman was especially friendly and attentive, welcomed me on arrival and made me feel very much at home.
- sueh485 (8/5): Helpful and friendly - Jason was very helpful and allowed us to park for the evening as we were meeting family. He dealt with our request for information about our guests with sensitivity and followed gdpr guidelines.
- treceld (10/5): Lovely - Raman is always so helpful and brings a smile to our faces always makes us feel welcomed and appreciated all staff as well
- D2458RYjanined (10/5): Comfortable 3 night stay ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - 3 night stay - hotel is perfectly placed for accessing the New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth by car. Free Parking. Rooms were spacious and clean, reception staff - Ali in particular was friendly and helpful in fulfilling our request for a ground floor room
- alexdC2395LD (10/5): Great stay pre cruise - We use this hotel night before our cruise in Southampton. It’s in an ideal location 10 mins by taxi to cruise port. The hotel is well run rooms and bed always very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner deal for £26.99 is extremely good value. The staff in the restaurant are very attentive. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had plenty variety and freshly cooked. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
- Traveller2363 (8/5): Great location - Great hotel, located in centre, new hotel, clean, well presented. Self check in. Loads of car parks around the hotel and bar on site.
- H5682NWjanetv (10/5): Hotel for shopping heaven - Lovely experience great for shopping and amazing
Staff always there to assist. Food is amazing and great value. Lovely clean rooms.
- nasimao2025 (10/5): Tahmid provided excellent service - We had a really great stay at the Premier Inn Southampton Airport. The room was comfortable, clean, and perfect for our trip. A special mention to Tahmid, who was a fantastic waiter friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even better. Highly recommend!
- kirstygQ4444QO (10/5): Excellent!! - Stayed here a few times and always a great experience, helpful staff and always friendly.
Had the breakfast which is always good value for money and very tasty
- Jet67998497412 (4/5): Short staffed and no car park discount - Very short staffed. The bar staff have to help you book in...If you need help. We used to stay at this hotel the night before a cruise and use the closely situated car park as they had a discount agreement with the owners. They recently stopped this agreement and failed to inform us. So leaving the car for our on going cruise duration was very expensive.
- F287BTdannyg (2/5): Thieves!!! - Might be a great night sleep but watch they done rob you like we have been. Pre booked prosecco online with the booking didn't receive it as they had ran out. Told by the hotel we would be refunded and we haven't! Terrible service by the hotel I've chased them for over a week now to be told they can't do it speak to head office. The staff here should be ashamed!!!
- Annp572016 (8/5): Comfy clean rooms, friendly helpful staff. - Does what it says on the tin, comfy clean rooms, friendly helpful staff.
Only negative, they were short staffed so had to wait over an hour for our evening meal
- 79FranF (10/5): Fantastic staff - I just wanted to say how wonderful Jason in the restaurant was. He single handedly ran the entire front of house for the restaurant including drinks. He was always there with a smile and made everyone feel relaxed and happy. He is a massive credit to this hotel. The food was good and quick for this style of hotel restaurant.
All the staff I met were also lovely and friendly but Jason was particularly impressive.
- Anne-Laure (10/5): - Chambres très agréables. Super coin spa ! Et petit dej très bien
- Juliegant (8/5): Friendly staff and great location. - The staff here are amazing and really do their jobs as they want to, not cause they have to. It really makes your stay memorable. Sharon was so helpful both prior to arrival over the phone and whilst there. Shes dedicated. Ali on reception was most helpful and kind, also joby at breakfast. Peyman just never stopped smiling, his passion to serve everyone was really appreciated. We arrived as strangers, just another number, but left feeling like a friend. Stayed as a family in 2 rooms for a business to peppa pig world. This hotel suits all from families , workmen, business men and couples. Looking forward to return one day. Yes, as some reviews say it may appear abit updated in some rooms etc , but it did not spoil our stay at all. Only thing I didn't like was when it came to leave - end of. Book and have a nice time, how we did. Really appreciated the care over my daughters coeliac gluten free foods at breakfast that's a medical requirement and not through choice. Thank you to the chef too.
- Y3906XZtrevorm (8/5): Great Stay - A very enjoyable stay would go back again no problem 😊 very helpful staff with good food. Happy to stay here every time in Southampton.
- Hanbeth (4/5): Dirty! - This is an ideal base for Peppa Pig World which was why we chose it. We’ve also stayed in so many Premier Inns but this was by far the worst.
Bedroom carpet was filthy and needed replacing, all the edges of the carpet were thick with dust. They clearly hadn’t been hoovered properly in years.
Wall lights above the bed didn’t work, not ideal when trying to get two toddlers to bed, reception came down with lightbulbs that didn’t work either- said that something had probably blown but at 8pm we just put up with it.
Toddler on camp bed woke up with questionable bites on their body.
Didn’t go to the Vine next door, it looked grim.
Only positives are the location and the staff were friendly.
- mollykD8114HP (10/5): Excellent - An excellent hotel in a heart of city centre. Close to the cinema, shops and restaurants. Very comfortable before going on cruise. Staff is very friendly and professional and always willing to help. Breakfast was really busy when we stayed but nothing was too much trouble for the team. They are big credit to the company.
- TristQ (10/5): JASON was amazing - 7 of us on fire training JASON was amazing we had a great meal and a great price!! Would recommend anyone to come there and the staff were great.
- 158JohnR (8/5): Excellent Premier Inn - When I was working I usually used Hilton Hotels and had diamond status with all the perks that brought. Now I’ve retired, my hotel chain of choice is Premier Inn and this one at Southampton Airport hit the spot in every department. Comfortable room, amazing staff and I took the dinner b&b package and much to my surprise the food was fantastic! In the past I have had microwaved curry and lasagne etc, but here there is a marked improvement, excellent, well done!
- K884QErichardr (10/5): Great service in restaurant from Tahmid - Great food and service in the restaurant. Tahmid and the guy on reception were top drawrer - excellent customer service.
- hutchhunter (10/5): Excellent help from Nicky - I left my pillow behind on a Saturday. Emailed on the following Monday to see if they had it in lost property. Had a positive reply the next day from Nicky and had my pillow arrive on the Thursday!!!
- M169VVkarenw (10/5): Little City Break - Perfect little city break with my other half. Everything was just perfect from first day. There was an issue with hot water on the day but it did not bother us as this was not hotels fault. All staff we have seen were lovely and very friendly. Massive credit to the company. It has been very busy but they all have managed perfectly. Keep up the good job team. Hopefully we will be back again before Christmas :)
- Osborne-10 (10/5): Trip to Peppa Pig World - Great location for visit Peppa Pig world. Wacky Warehose next door in the Vine Pub. Great value meals also in the Pub. Fantastic breakfast in Priemer Inn restaurant. All staff really helpful and friendly. Would stay again.
- jessicat1999 (10/5): Perfect before a cruise - We stayed here for 1 night before a cruise and it was perfect! it's in a fantastic location which didn't require us to need a taxi to the terminal the following morning. We booked a Premium Plus room and it was great. A nice large bed, seating area and the bathroom was very nice too. Shame there was no bath tub but for 1 night I don't mind! We will deffo stay here again before our next cruise.
- loopylou232 (2/5): Eaten by bugs - Bitten to death by bugs, it looked like someone had been bumped off in the room. Scratching so much during the night it made us bleed.
I stripped the beds on leaving I was so embarrassed
- VQK (2/5): Disappointing Hotel - Do not stay here! Hotel rooms are not adequate. There is no closet, no refrigerator and no chair/couch other than table chairs. There is a huge space where a chair/couch can go, but it is empty. The room is basic.
When I stayed, the hotel had NO hot water and we’re not apologetic for it. Didn’t even offer free breakfast for the lack of hot water.
- G3375URjamieb (10/5): Good as normal - As per normal Premier Inn lived up to its name, rooms were clean and beds very comfortable.
All you can eat breakfast was on point again.
The parking gift offer to me in my error was much appreciated.
- kirstyhE8460RT (10/5): Lovely stay with family - Perfect location and perfect stay! We stayed pre -cruise with my family and all I can say is WOW! From the minute you walk in everything looks so modern and clean. Yes - parking charges are now £15.00 for multi-storey car park but it isn't hotels fault and being in a heart of city centre what else can you expect?! This didn't bother us at all. All team that we spoke to were friendly and really professional so I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone! We surely be back next year.
- Zagazig (2/5): Awful hotel. Do not stay. - The first two rooms we were offered stank of mould. There only other room available had exposed carpet grips which my children could’ve stepped on, a window which wouldn’t close (ground floor room), mouldy windows, and what looked like blood on the bathroom mirror. The “ultimate” WiFi was extremely slow, and the breakfast was stale. I have reported the issues to Premier Inn and they’ve not resolved it satisfactorily and said they won’t reply to my concerns further.
- Markkar (10/5): Fabulous Experience - Stayed overnight before joining our cruise. Room very clean & comfortable.
We purchased the meal deal to make life easier. Was served by Elle....what a complete & utter star she was!! Very friendly, brilliant rapport and just a bubbly character. Could not have asked for any better. Beautiful young lady. Upon Breakfast we were looked after by "Elles mum" who was just as attentive, we can see where Elles Character comes from. Thank you very much ladies for looking after us and making our stay that little bit brighter & enjoyable. ❤️
- stephenlW7650TJ (4/5): High parking charges - Parking charges are to high at £15 per night it makes it expensive for us to stay 4 nights at £60, by reading some of the reviews the parking only a few weeks ago was only £7 and double..The room was nice and a fresh feel but the work noise was horrible are on holiday and didn’t expect to hear the work at 7.40am 😡 I didn’t think we will be staying here again.
- X7257ZEmatthewr (10/5): Great Time - Absolutely fantastic location and fantastic staff especially too Sharan and Amy they were brilliant and went above and beyond .
- DrewMcD_977 (10/5): Ideal base for local roaming - Tucked away, it's an ideal location and perfectly positioned to access local routes. All staff were friendly, particularly Sharon and Amy on the desk when we arrived. No forced niceties, but genuine welcoming personalities. Can't fault the service. Have been before here and will be back!
- thomas (6/5): - Clean rooms but very hard to find a hotel staff member since this is no service counter it main lobby. You enter a small foyer with a sit down chair at a podium, that’s your first impression of the hotel.
- ruthsQ4300WN (6/5): Smelly room - Great location, however room smelt of urine and hotel just gave a cleaning material and didn't clean or check it out themselves, skirting hadn't been cleaned for years, reception not really interested in how the room smelt just told us the hotel was full.
- 612diap (10/5): Best Premier Inn experience! - Restaurant staff are very welcoming and friendly! The chef on duty, Flora the waitress and Sharon at front door. Foods were delicious, 10/10 quality and overall experience!
- nixxk2025 (10/5): Breakfast - Sharon in front desk and Flora are really friendly and very accommodating. The food was really great as well and I was pleasantly surprised to know that everything Paul is making was not fried at all!
- Gina (10/5): - The staff were super friendly and full of information. The curry dinners at the restaurant, Thyme, in the hotel was OUTSTANDING!! Excellent stay!
- kayleighmI1387AE (10/5): Nicest staff - Me & my son have stayed at multiple premier inns around the country. This premier inn is by far our favourite. The bedrooms & bathrooms are always clean. The staff there are so kind, helpful & friendly. From the manager Sharan who is absolutely the sweetest lady to all the other staff.
They always make you feel welcome. The breakfast is fantastic I had the full English & the food was lovely, my son had yogurt, toast & croissants which he said were lovely. When we visit Paultons park we will always stay at this hotel. The only downside is there’s no air con & the fan we had wasn’t helping.
- Butterflyeffect89 (10/5): Can not fault this hotel - We stayed here for 1 night so we could catch our cruise the next day. It was only a few miles to the docks and this was the closest Premier Inn that had onsite parking - so that's why we chose this one over a closer Premier Inn to the docks. The guy behind the desk was super helpful & nice. The room was clean & tidy - the only downfall was no aircon. We had 2 fans in the room but it was still like a sauna. Come night time it was cooler outside than in the room. Breakfast was very pleasant
- H493YBkarenc (10/5): Staff are fabulous - Stayed here to visit Peppa Pig World with our granddaughter and great granddaughter. The rooms were clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We were given adjoining rooms, as requested. Special mention must go to Sharon in the breakfast room. Our great granddaughter is autistic and found the noise overwhelming, as there were so many children there. Sharon kindly found us a table in the corner just outside the main area. It worked a treat and we were all able to enjoy our breakfast.
- I2993HTjackm (10/5): Lovely hotel and team - Lovely premier inn! Room nice and clean, staff very friendly and good location. Ate in the breakfast room, was a little busy due to school holidays but the breakfast team were on it with ensuring the buffet was constantly topped up and tables were clean ready for the next guests. Reception team also lovely when checking us in. Have stayed here a few times and always felt welcome each time. Special thanks to Sharon, Summer and Ali!
Thankyou for having us. We will be back next time!
