Guest Reviews
- Road43446374386 (10/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable - The hotel is in a great location, close to Swansea Building Society Arena. The hotel is clean and tidy. The room was good with a comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- neilmc67 (10/5): Good value for money. - We use the Premier Inn at Swanley quite often. It's always clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Good value for money.
- Rowsmum (4/5): Certainly not Premier - Whilst the important parts were clean, such as the bedding, there was a considerable amount of dust, and dirt around. The place was worn out and tatty
- F5669AMclairel (8/5): Good, comfortable and clean. - I had a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed.
The hairdryer could do with an upgrade!
- nicolay163 (8/5): Overall a cheap mid week night away, - The hotel itself was fab reception staff were very accommodating when we arrived early and changed our plans from just having breakfast to having the meal deal which included the evening meal.
Can’t say we were impressed with the manager Amber from the beefeater found her very rude at one point she walked up to a member of staff who was actually dealing with a customer and just started talking to her about another member who of staff with no ‘excuse me’ to the customer or anything plus she was holding a cigarette in her hand which I found very unprofessional.
- E917DDmelaniem (10/5): Superb staff and service really sets this place apart - fabulous - Standard room - clean - spacious but what really sets it apart is the staff - waiters ar breakfast and evening staff simply amazing - couldn’t do enough for you - attentive friendly and efficient. Menu great and steak simply delicious. As a lone female business traveller I felt at home and looked after - brilliant service - well done - will return.
- Engrmarif (10/5): Excellent service throughout my stay! - The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always had a smile. A special shout-out to Seema at reception; her warmth and professionalism made my visit even more enjoyable. The hotel’s waterfront view is stunning, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!
- TraceyMc119 (10/5): Fab staff, great stay - What a wonderful stay we had. A warm welcome when we checked in, with a complimentary little treat too. Andrea and her team couldn’t have done any more to make our stay any better than it was.
We had a meal deal at the Beefeater that was attached and the food was excellent quality, the staff were super helpful and friendly. We’ve booked to stay again next year as it’s a short walk to the arena. Already looking forward to it!
- G3897MHnicolat (10/5): Comfy bed, great location. - Our second stay, does everything you need it too. Decent beds, good size rooms, easy check in, helpful staff thanks to GINA for looking after our room. Parking right next to hotel £6 for 24 hours (pay st the machine no app needed!) great location for the bay restaurants and cafe’s. Highly recommend Rasio Indian and the Welsh House for music. You may see mention of building works on the hotel this is just a bit of scaffolding and doesn’t spoil you stay or intrude. Tip ask for a corner room overlooking the bay for best views. Nice quality hand and body wash (no shampoo) lovely fluffy towels. You know what you’re getting with this hotel and I recommend a stay.
- joe250963 (4/5): In need of a refresh. - Hotel is very tired, our room could have done with a refresh. Also very strange smell in the room. Bed was lumpy and not particularly comfortable. Pillow cases didn’t cover all the pillow which wasn’t good from a hygiene point of view. We have stayed in premier inn’s many times and it is always pot luck depending on age of hotel, this one definitely needs a refresh.
- Hhawks1 (10/5): Business Stay - The staff were extremely helpful especially Andrea! The room was clean and comfortable and the location was lovely. We ate at the beefeater on the first night and the food was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. The second night we ate at Rasoi and couldn’t recommend it enough.
- M5035WVhannahc (10/5): Perfect budget hotel in Swansea - We had a genuinely fantastic stay at the Premier Inn Swansea. The location is brilliant, perfectly within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Our room was excellent; the comfy bed guaranteed a great night's sleep, and the great view over the docks was a wonderful bonus. The hotel had everything we needed, making for a totally stress-free trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed the good breakfast each morning, but what really set this stay apart was the great service. thank you to Andrea, the receptionist, who was always so welcoming and went out of her way to get us extra coffee and milk. We highly recommend this hotel!
- davidmC9621NA (10/5): Great Welcome - The lady (Andrea) in reception was exceptional and very helpful. Such a happy presence about her.
Credit to the Premier Inn Swansea Water Front.
- 980rumyanav (2/5): Safety and crime concerns - The hotel is basic, but the worst eas that in the middle of the nigjt on 31.10 on 4th floor thete was a crime - a woman was subjecter to violence a few doors away. I almost got a panick attack as there was no phone for the hotel reception, bo one to call for help. One needed to pass the crime scene to escape. A switchboard was asking for reservations only, no.member of staff came to.reassure all staying on that floor. We know the police take kong to come and we were in eminent danger, the screams were loud and close to us. No hotel emergences cobtacts were available in the room.
In am.it came out the police was there and crime was committed. We did not sleep and felt completely left to our own devices. The reception refused to cobsider conpensation and even dis not allow us to leave our luggafe unless we leave a cash donation for charity!
Such scandalous experience means - avoid the hotel, you will not be safe or receive the service you were paying for. We needed to.ask for towels and other basics ,as well. The heating needed to be reset. Do not use this hotel.
- OliverAdelman (2/5): Rude and indifferent staff, dangerous hotel - Incredibly rude health staff. Very arrogant, just pushing paper and forms, no interest whatever in customer service. Do mot go near this horrible hotel. Major police incident in night, indifferent staff. Of course no compensation for lost sleep, holiday. Then asked to leave bags at reception, told no only if you donate to our charity. That is an illegal demand equivalent to blackmail. Just awful people and place.
- davidsK5281IW (8/5): Not the best premier in in the city but made better by Gwion and his cleaning staff. - Location is amazing. We were given a corner room facing the marina by Gwion. The cleaners there do a great job. Couldn't have done us a favour with the weather when we walked back from the city centre though???
- danlN2894LV (4/5): Wouldn't stay again ! - Shocking was like a sauna in our room the kids couldn't sleep and had standing water in the window/door that you couldn't open ! Overall waste of money!!
- 795adriany (10/5): Excellent - 2 people on reception Ana and Bradley did there upmost to help me fix my PC, given I’m 53 I’m clueless. I can’t praise them enough for their help and given I’m English their politeness…. they are both a credit to Premier Inn
- JohnD4264 (10/5): Lovely stay - Friendly staff on check in, Room was nice and clean as would be expected, This room is (103) is a large room with plenty of space and this particular room has a low bed and the bathroom is set up for people elderly or disabled which some people may find useful and at the same time it doesn't distract from what is a well set out bathroom for everyone else.
Also after arriving late I was pleasantly surprised by a bag of Revels left on the table for Me, Thankyou Gina.
- Renat (8/5): - Eine schöne Unterkunft und relativ Zentral. Das Personal im Restaurant ist super nett, nur die Dame am Empfang hätte einen netter begrüßen dürfen.
- K4602QTronm (4/5): Nightmare - Shambles. Kids running around banging on doors at all hours. We were next to the entrance from the lift. Nightmare!! Door just kept slamming. All reported nothing done!!! Asked for room service, made beds, put in towels, room and bathroom not cleaned, toilet supplies not topped up. Stayed at premier inn loads, but this was beyond a joke!!!
- Ozzie156 (10/5): Can’t fault it!! - Can’t fault it!! Location is great. People on the reception were polite and friendly. Rooms are clean, tidy and affordable. Good value.
I’ve stayed here a few times.
- iziegbuwasandrao (10/5): Cozy stay that feels like home - I had a really pleasant stay at Premier Inn Swanley. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and in a great location easy to reach from the M25 and close to shops, Bluewater, and public transport. The room was spotless, the bed was super comfortable, and the whole place felt quiet and relaxing. I slept really well, and the blackout curtains made a big difference. The staff were friendly and professional, always happy to help with a smile.
This hotel is great value for money. It’s exactly what you’d hope for clean, well-run, and welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
- samanthapurle (10/5): Good stay! - Parking facilities good register your number plate at reception, reception very friendly good service, bedroom comfortable slightly smaller than some family rooms we have had. Breakfast cooked fresh and staff brilliant even though they were super busy
- MathMagicMan (8/5): A good Premier Inn but the company's care and attention to detail is starting to become less impressive ya it was - The hotel is always welcoming, staff are efficient and the room is as comfortable as you expect from a Premier Inn. There is plenty of free parking.
But the attention to accessibility is poor with the only lift not working for six months now and volume of television set ridiculously low.
The meal deal is no longer the great value that it once was.
- bobbet03 (10/5): Nice break - Excellent hotel very clean & spacious comfortable room. Breakfast in the Bull adjoining the hotel was good value very nice, the restaurant was very clean & well stocked, we didn’t have any other meals but the menu looked very reasonable with discounts if you ate more than once. We enjoyed our stay there it gave us the independence to stay close to our relatives but in our own quiet space. We phoned & requested a ground floor room as the lift is out of action & the staff were very accommodating . I would have no problem recommending staying there.
- davidbA6638OU (8/5): Good room, terrible food - Good premier and great reception staff. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Breakfast in the morning however, was terrible. Undercooked, tasteless and unappealing. The staff in the restaurant were miserable and obviously didn't want to be there which is how we felt after having our food served! Honestly the worst breakfast I've ever had at a premier inn. We cancelled the breakfast on the second morning of our stay and ate at a much netter place down the road. Save your money and eat elsewhere.
- Teacoaster (6/5): Good but noisy. Don't have room 202. - Room clean and tidy. Bed comfortable.
Unfortunately room 202 which was mine was right by a corridor door that every time someone walked through would loudly shut with a thud. The room is also located just above the entrance to the Beefeater restaurant so I was disturbed by people shouting and talking loudly when they were outside the restaurant coming & going or sitting outside smoking.
Having said that I have stayed here before in a different room away from said door and restaurant entrance and all was good......so if your offered room 202 or 201 ask for another room.
- E9312XYjerrya (10/5): Soft and comfortable bed ! - It was a warm welcoming and Lovely experience. Spacious bedroom. Polite staff and affordable meal deals. Lovely environment and beautiful people.
- components2025 (6/5): Not great. Missing room facilities & awful bar/restaurant. - Usual comfortable Premier Inn bed, no desk in room, so not great when visiting on business. Restaurant is abysmal. Bar closed at 10pm. Staff at breakfast have a truly horrible attitude, also refusing to replace items on the buffet that gone, even though breakfast still had an hour to go. I have stayed at this hotel a number of times before, but next time I am in the area I will be staying somewhere else.
- oluchipetero (4/5): Disappointing stay as dirty toilet rim - It was a very disappointing stay. The toilet rim of the room we were in was very dirty. We informed the cleaner on our floor and showed her the dirty rim. We were told it was black limescale and cannot be cleaned. That all the toilets on that floor had the same problem. The key fobs were not working due to a technical issue overnight. When we returned for the second evening we found our room had not been cleaned because although we told the cleaners we had not told the front desk. We were not told this rule at check-in and is not clearly displayed. We had to move to another room for our second night where we still encountered problems with the keys. We also had to collect a second towel as there was only 1 towel in the room. This room did have a clean toilet.
- JanM634 (2/5): Not Good - Well , not much good to say here except the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
Exterior landscaping looks scruffy and run down.
Lifts don’t work. We were pre warned.
Bar shuts at ten
Breakfast service really poor. One poor lady trying to keep a full restaurant going.
Ripped and torn chairs.
Not clear how to actually get the much publicised all you can eat breakfast, but we were warned That we know it’s all running out we are doing our best.
Stayed here several times in the past to visit family, but wont be back.
- elizabethpQ1151NO (6/5): Overall a lovely stay but sadly tainted by lost property - The staff were very friendly in reception and also very helpful. I was travelling on my own with a 1 year old and a 5 year old and was offered extra help should I require it.
The room was clean and comfortable, although we had enough beds for 5 people!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However it was sadly tainted by my son leaving his library books on the window sill of the room and, despite calling the hotel to check, these were not handed in to lost property which has greatly upset him and me.
- Trip30897958916 (10/5): A good relaxing stay. - We had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious and well kept. The shower/bathroom was very nice with fresh towels, and soap's. All in all a pleasant 4 days stay.
- Talldavid (10/5): Room problems but sorted with no fuss by the excellent Brian and Tanya. - We have booked for a 3 night stay and had booked a family room and had been given a double and single bed but needed a double
And 2 singles. On the first night this was not available but the Hotel staff of Brian and Tanya sorted the problem out with no hassle at all. The service they both gave over the visit was 1st class and the company is lucky to have them both.
- johnlV1284PG (4/5): Parking fees - It would have been nice if the reception reminded us to register our car's registration on their tablet when I booked in as we incurred a fine of £60!
- lyn65d (8/5): Love a Premier Inn!! - We had to book here very last minute after being let down by a booking with hotels.com. We arrived just 15 minutes after booking so the room was understandably not ready. Michele on reception was alone and he rushed around like a madman trying to get the room ready for us in between sorting other guests at reception. We had a little wait but it was no problem, he was an absolute star!! He took our case to the room while we went and had a drink next door which was just as well as the lift was not working. Room was spotless, well equipped comfortable with black out curtains and air con. We had a long wait before we could get a place for dinner in the Beafeater next door but when we got there the food was spot on and the service was great. Particularly Carol who was so lovely. The restaurant is a little tired and needs a bit of a cleanup/refurb but all in all the unexpected last minute stay here was a godsend.
- Z8441AHjanetf (6/5): Good hotel shame about the restaurant! - We use this hotel regularly when visiting nearby family. The staff and rooms are great, no problems there BUT the adjacent Beefeater Restaurant is another matter! To say the place needs a makeover is an understatement! I actually wrote to Whitbread after our last stay in March with accompanying photos of the ripped seating, filthy chairs and scuffed walls. In their response they told me that they pass on my remarks to the estate manager! I believe nothing has been done.
- KaelaLee88 (10/5): Excellent! - This is a lovely hotel in a great location and has recently been re-styled/refreshed. It is particularly good for Wheelchair Users with fully equipped wetrooms, spacious rooms and plenty of disabled parking. We've stayed here twice now and highly recommend it x
- LizzyNorthDevon (10/5): First class service - Great welcome. First class - Receptionist was really helpful.
The gentleman on reception was outstanding. So helpful and kind. Faultless.
- Roam66414866499 (6/5): Premier Good .Beefeater Restaurant Terrible - The Beefeater restaurant attached to this Hotel is in serious need of a makeover. I think the staff have even lost interest in trying to make it look half decent and I don't know how they can show dinners to half the seats in the restaurant as they are ripped and torn beyond repair. It must be disheartening for Staff to work there.
