• 綉姬邱 (10/5): Taiwan 🇹🇼 - We had a lovely stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was spotless, well-prepared, and the bed was super comfy. You can really tell they pay attention to detail. The only downside was the restaurant, the food quality wasn’t quite up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back if we’re in the area again!🥰

• Guide300944 (10/5): Lovely Premier Inn, would recommend/ stay again - Lovely Premier Inn, I upgraded to a premier plus room and it was really nice, quiet with nice quality tea, nespresso, chocs etc and an iron/ board as well as lots of space. Was there for business so just needed something practical but would've been happy to stay for leisure too. Nice staff and atmosphere.
• RKassie (10/5): Excellent hotel. Fabulous service. - I have nothing but praise for the entire team at this Premier Inn. I have stayed at this location on multiple occasions, and each visit has been consistently excellent. From the moment I approach the check-in desk, I am always greeted with a warm smile. The check-in process is seamless, and I am always very well looked after. The reception team manage my car parking, book my dinner and breakfast reservations, and coordinate every aspect of my stay — from room cleaning to any additional request I’ve ever had. The restaurant staff are pleasant, attentive, and always happy to recommend dishes or highlight daily specials. The cleaning team keep both the rooms and hotel spotless, and they too never fail to greet me kindly. I have stayed in many Premier Inn hotels, but I have yet to find a team more sincere, hardworking, and genuinely welcoming than the staff here. Their service, professionalism, and kindness always exceed expectations, and I truly appreciate the effort they put into every guest’s experience. A wonderful hotel, run by an exceptional team. Please keep up the great work — I would mention names, but there are far too many deserving of recognition.
• Happyholidayer7 (2/5): BEWARE THE CARPARK - I know that the carpark is not run by Premier but ultimately they should be held responsible and, if the parking company they use try making extra money out of Premier customers by sending out erroneous (I am being polite here) PCN notices, then Premier should do something about it. Basically we spent a night at Port Solent. We knew there was a £3 parking charge for 24 hours. No problem. We got to the carpark and read the notice to see how to pay. We were on the machine in the foyer when the helpful young receptionist said he could do that for us. Took the reg. number and card. Two weeks later we got the PCN notice, for the period 3.22 to 5.10 when we left to go to the Marina. But no notice for the 9pm to 11.30 the next morning parking. If we hadn’t paid for the 1st period, how come we were okay for the 2nd? It is the total inconvenience and stress of then having to do the appeal. There is no way to contact them, yet if you don’t do the appeal, the fine goes from £60 to £100 after 2 weeks. It is almost impossible getting through to Premier. Got through to Guest Services who confirmed we were not the first, but told us to email the hotel and they would get it cancelled. They didn’t and then 2 weeks later we get a reply asking us to get confirmation from Premier that we had paid. Again, so difficult and a lot of hanging around trying to get through to Premier, but when we did, they confirmed payment was showing and had been put through by the receptionist. This has now been resolved and cancelled but we have had no apology for the time and stress for something that was never our fault and something that Premier concede is not a solitary incident.

A pass could be given for those staying at hotel to get free parking Visit to Gun Wharf Quays was nice and spinnaker tower was interesting.

• LynwoodH0use (10/5): Comfortable staff with very accommodating staff. - Lovely hotel. Perfectly located. Seeing a show at The Guildhall which was seconds away. Easy walking distance to Gunwarf Quays. Parking next door in multi-storey £4.50 for 24 hours. Easy stroll to hotel. Staff above and beyond. Arrived before check in but not a problem for receptionist who secured our room early. Nothing was too much trouble. Room decent size and bed comfortable. Black out curtains which were a bonus. Very quiet. Breakfast next day was very good. Eggs looked a bit tired so we asked for fresh ones and they were made immediately with no fuss. Coffee excellent. No complaints at all and wouldn’t think twice about staying again.

• Dream46320092212 (2/5): Never again! - Worst premier inn we've ever stayed in. Bathroom hadn't been cleaned, bedroom floor covers with crumbs around the bed. Very noisy communal doors and people in the room above who were either a herd of elephants or a family of ten pin bowlers who used the room to practice throwing. No help from the reception when we complained about the noise.
• sophiebP9012GA (2/5): Don't trust Premier Inn - Due to fire moved to another hotel miles away with no transport links promised would get refunded and now customer services are refusing to honour this. Manager Kelly is extremely rude.
• JoanneW464 (4/5): Bed was too uncomfortable - Firstly, let me say the staff were all lovely and pleasant. Car parking was no issue. Room was tidy enough, I suppose. Unfortunately, thats where the positive experience ends. We have stayed in numerous Premier Inns across the country and can honestly say this was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in! And as for the pillows - sleeping on a piece of paper would have provided more support! (One very thin flimsy pillow each) My partner, child and myself barely slept all night. We all woke complaining of back ache. Plus , every time someone came out of the lift corridor door, we felt the back draft via our door banging in the frame slightly...enough to wake up an already barely sleeping person. As mentioned, the staff we encountered seemed pleasant, however, a couple more staff members would have been better - they didnt stop rushing around serving guests (on reception and in the restaurant), clearing tables, cleaning tables etc. In all, I wouldnt really recommend staying here if you need to sleep, which is unfortunate because we have never had a bad experience with Premier Inns
• mirfas (8/5): Good and comfy - Generally, it was nice experience, I stayed with my family for couple of nights. The room and bathroom were spotless but not large enough as we booked family room. Plus, you can find your shampoo a conditioner and plenty of clean towels. Mattress and pillows are so comfy. Great breakfast and dinner and the staff so helpful and friendly. Only one thing I found it so pricy they could do better with price.
• Leighla62 (10/5): Great hotel, avoid the breakfast. - The hotel room was spacious, clean and quiet despite being near a busy road. The receptionist both days were really lovely. However, avoid food at the beefeater. The breakfast we had was horrific. We were expecting the usual buffet, but on arrival we were told hot food was cooked to order and there was a 30 minute wait on food. Not a great start given that we had booked a time slot on check in. But we thought it may be worth it for it to be freshly cooked. After an hour, it finally arrived. Good job we didn’t have a flight to catch. When it did eventually come, it was inedible, the scrambled eggs and beans were cold, the tomatoes and poached eggs were undercooked and the bacon was all fat. Due to the quality of the rest of the food I didn’t risk eating the sausage for fear of food poisoning. The continental breakfast was a buffet style, and on a quiet day would have been an excellent selection. However, due to the lack of staff, this quickly ran empty with no one to refill it. I left after 75 minutes having eaten 2 slices of toast.
• Climber434421 (10/5): A one night stay. - Probably the best Premier inn we have been to. A relatively new build with excellent rooms. Great to have a shower cubicle rather than clambering into a bath. Room was very clean and comfortable.
• 166M1966 (2/5): Try somewhere else would be my advice. - Booking confirmed on 24/9 - a month before stay. Email sent requesting - even though it would be reasonable to expect the rooms to be adjacent anyway - the rooms to be next to each other as there were children staying on 14/10 - nothing heard back so assumed this was fine. Arrived an hour early at 1400 on 23/10 and found out that the rooms were not next to each other with the excuse that the family rooms are on the ground floor and the other double was not. A standard Twin and a Double were booked originally. The person did offer to try and sort it out. I asked can we book in early - its a 5.5 hr journey from home and was offered an early arrival fee of 15 pounds! I didn't think this was particularly good given it was a 490 pound booking. There were urine stains down the front of the toilet when we eventually got to our rooms which had been sorted out - not next to each other but near enough. There were stains - physical residue of something - on the wall of the lift which remained for the entirety of our stay.
• Lindyann2013 (8/5): 1 night - Stayed one night while at an event in Portsmouth. There is no onsite parking, car park is a few minutes walk. Staff were friendly and helpful. Usual breakfast on offer. Useful to know that there’s a Costa next door and a Tesco the other side.

The feeling of home from home experience which is great when you work away from home as much as I do.The whole team have really looked after me.
• PeterGrehan (10/5): A Very Pleasant Stay - The hotel is very conveniently placed next to the station and at the centre of Portsmouth. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bedroom was comfortably and the restaurant provided nice food.
• samhallart2013 (6/5): A GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP BUT NO DINNER AFTER 8.30PM. RESTAURANT AND BAR UNDERSTAFFED. - The receptionist was courteous, friendly and helpful - but failed to tell us that the restaurant closed at 8.30pm, which meant that we had to be refunded for our meal deal - and try to find a restaurant nearby, which proved difficult. The bar closed at 9.30p and there was only one person on duty at the time. Definitely not up to most Premier Inn standards.

Nothing was too much trouble. She even gave my son a packet of biscuits! We were having trouble with the Internet, so the very kind young man on the reception desk gave me access to the ultimate package for free. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is excellent. Overall, definitely 10/10. We will definitely be back 😁

• Expedition634797 (6/5): A low cost but comfortable overnighter. - Overall the hotel is value for money and comfortable, it is tired and definitely a "room for the night venue" rather than a stay location. Get there early parking is limited and often blocked by vans or cordoned off areas. Evening meals in the adjacent Beefeater Pub are fine but the cooked breakfast is poor; sloppily presented, cheap products, and very greasy - I was eating it all day! Certainly not value for money eat elsewhere if you can.

We had an unfortunate issue in that we paid in advance but the computer disputed this. We were dealing with an extremely unhelpful and rude receptionist who seemed incapable of solving the problem. All praise to Luke who stepped in to help and remote problem. Also praise to Chloe for her assistance and cheerful manner during our stay.

Staff were friendly without being overbearing and check-in was quick. Beds are genuinely comfortable, parking was easy, and it’s a handy spot for getting around Portsmouth. Nothing flashy, just solid and dependable—exactly what you want from a Premier Inn.
• drchips420 (4/5): Gone were the good days - I have been going here for years, scince the tulip . It's a good location for me , close to my friends and family. How ever they have gone down hill with less staff over the years... And standards slipping. Breakfast is now mainly greece with cheap food, eg bacon is mainly fat . Everything is swimming in fat... And tasteless. The cost of the rooms has also gone up. There car park is a joke, you pay to stay 3 pound, yet after 18:00 there is no space at all. So you have to park on the street.

We arrived to check in only to discover that I'd made a mistake and had booked a week later than I intended. Sharney was extremely helpful and was able to amend our booking with easy. • NWalsham (8/5): Always spotlessly clean - As usual rooms immaculately clean. There was no fuss for making up the spare bed which was greatly appreciated. Disappointed, however, to be told it was 15.00 up from 10.00 to get in to the room 1 hour earlier than the 3pm, given we had been travelling for over four hours! Not very hospitable. This extra charge has only been in place since lockdown, prior to which we were always able to access our rooms after midday. As regular visitors this is unnecessary and more than a little greedy.
• gavinp760 (10/5): Outstanding effort front desk team - Stayed here at the Premier Inn city centre for work over 4 days. Very clean and a great welcome by Kelly on front desk and her team. Kelly managed to resolve an issue I had and not only went above and beyond but also gave reassurance that I was in safe hands. Great rooms and clean, carpets very tidy and bathrooms clean.
• Y2374FLrobg (2/5): Total incompetence - Firstly the 99% of the staff are totally incompetent. Booked up on arrival my dinner slot for the evening. Go down on the first night and the lady took my order. 35 mins later my drink still didn’t arrive. When I then asked the lady what was going on it turned out she hadn’t even placed my order for my drink or food. Which apparently was my fault. It then still took 30 mins to get my burger that I had ordered. There was people just walking out due to the staff not having a clue. Go the second night for food as I had a meal deal package. Same lady at the restaurant and they hadn’t booked me in for the second night. Asked if I could still eat there to which her reply was “no we are fully booked!”. Now the restaurant has around 20-25 tables. 2 we’re currently being used!! Probably the worst stay I have ever experienced in a premier inn. Avoid this hotel !!

• quiksilverlaydee (2/5): Terrible Mould Problem - Stayed for one night with a friend. I’ll start with the good bit - the staff are lovely at check in and in the bar, very friendly. Now the bad… the room was absolutely disgusting, black mould in the bathroom, headboard grease stains, poor wall paint job and my entire clothes smelt of damp and musty when got home. Horrendous cleaning. Won’t be staying here and 2nd Premier Inn in a month that’s been bad the brand is really not in a good place

Arrived too early to check in but was able to leave our bags and check in later. Great service from the lady on reception, sorry didn’t get a name- long black hair and glasses. She recommended a place to go for drinks and showed an interest in our theatre booking. Great service. Thanks. Room was fine. Stayed on level 3 and breakfast was great too. Great location for the Guildhall, a 2 min walk. Would come again.

• Sightseer442639 (10/5): Premier Inn always a good stay - Stayed for 2 nights this week, The gentleman in reception when we arrived couldn’t have been more helpful, we was finishing for 3 months for a big operation so would like to wish him well. The rooms were as expected (in a good way) always enjoy a Premier Inn breakfast. Only let down by the breakfast in the adjacent Beefeater, very limited continental breakfast no pastries whatsoever ended up having just cereal and toast. Had to send bacon and hash browns back from another breakfast as they were very over done and rock hard. This is the only thing I can complain about

We had breakfast next door, which was cooked to order, lovely and hot. There are two supermarkets nearby and Mc Donald’s next too. We enjoyed our stay.
• 180yint (10/5): Ideal for Business Travel - Stayed at the Premier Inn Bournemouth Ferndown for a business trip, and it was perfect for my needs. The room was comfortable, which made it easy to work in the comfort of my room. The hotel is in a quiet location but still close to the business hubs in the area. The staff were professional and efficient, making my stay seamless.

The check-in was smooth, parking was free and convenient, and the attached restaurant served a delicious breakfast. The room had everything we needed, and the blackout curtains made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. Highly recommended for both families and business travelers.
