Guest Reviews
- Graham957 (4/5): Hotel good. Staff bad - Hotel fairly good.. staff terrible. Zero customer service skills, nowhere to drop bags when arriving early. Staff quoted we would be lucky of the rooms would be ready for check in time.
- paulasB1652NL (10/5): Fantastic location and staff - Had a lovely couple of nights at this premier inn. Clean, comfortable and great location. Parked at the convention centre for £10 for 24 hrs as premier inn car park full. But it’s just across the road.
The staff were fantastic. Drew was very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Katie was great too.
A lovely couple of days
- chrismM2295DE (10/5): Exceptional Customer Service - I didn’t actually stay at Keswick due to a family emergency. However before the emergency I checked in, which was typically easy, and spent an hour in my room which was what I’d expect. I then had to leave to get to Barrow-In-Furness as my brother required an emergency operation. Upon explaining the situation to Drew, the Duty Manager, he couldn’t have done more for me. Offering support, assisting in booking me a room in the Premier Inn in Barrow and showing genuine empathy. Upon arriving at Barrow I was informed Drew had organised a complimentary breakfast.
Very rare to receive such personal, honest and caring service. Thank you Drew and thanks Premier Inn.
- robinhP7922XN (6/5): Not what I expected - No chef on Sunday for cooked breakfast
Worst of all when it rains heavy the noise of the rain on the metal window cills is enough to wake you up
Stopped in better premier inns
- Y1801EBjeanr (10/5): Great place to stay…… - Great location, room was so clean, comfortable bed and the breakfast was amazing!! thanks to the Chef (Justin), can definitely recommend
- B3936YDstepheno (4/5): Premier inn Keswick - The bed was too hard not like the comfy beds Premier inns are renowned for and the ones we have stopped in before. Both me and my wife did not sleep well because the bed was too hard. The chef did not turn up for two of the 3 days we stayed even though we had Pre Paid for 3 morning breakfasts.
- 733JohnJ (6/5): Excellent location, no parking - Hotel location was excellent. Staff tried hard and very friendly and polite.
Parking was an issue.
TV remote didn't work, despite being reported.
- 412khrish (10/5): Keswick Premier Inn is fabulous. - This was my first stay at a Premier Inn (PI) in 15 years, and their standards remain impressively high. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Upon arriving at Keswick PI, the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to help whenever needed. My room met all my expectations—it was spotless, well-organized, and included all the extras of a "plus room." The hallways were incredibly quiet, and the meals were outstanding. The dishes I tried were delicious, the restaurant area was clean, tidy and offered fantastic views outside.
- Dirkwearswhitesox (10/5): Highly Recommended, will definitely return - A welcome return to the Keswick Premier Inn, a definite asset to the area. Often the rooms are too expensive but was able to book a room for one night with the bonus of a free breakfast. I couldn't fault the stay at this hotel, only a couple of minor issues, the shower gel was unusually completely empty and the check in machines were out-of-order, the face-to-face check in was efficient. The room we had was a great location on the top floor with views of the hills.
- sss428 (10/5): Thankfully Dog Free. - Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Friendly and help staff. The biggest plus was it didn’t stink of dogs unlike the rest of Keswick.
- 503keva (8/5): typical - Typical Premier inn. nice clean room, very comfy bed. the staff were ok, but a bit slow. food was ok too but the breakfast was 30 mins late, ment to be at 6.30 but it opened at 7.00 which was a bit of an issue as we had to get out quicker.
- P9557CAseang (10/5): 5 day break - Had a great stay here, everything from checking in- with David- to room, all the breakfasts, all the staff was just great.
Sarah who we dealt with the most was just so friendly and helpful, always smiling and cheerful and set our day off to the right start.
- 543stan (10/5): 5 Star friendly & helpful staff & quality of Breakfast - Great hotel, great location in the centre of the town. The staff were really friendly and helpful ensuring my staff was relaxing and stress free.
Limited parking but there's an area at the hotel so you can park to drop off your cases and they explain where additional parking is available just over the bridge less than 100 yards away.
I only had the full breakfast and can recommend it as a great way to start the day.
- Expedition429025 (10/5): A warm welcome on arrival.. - After driving most of the day we arrived tired & weary we were met by Drew (Reception) who was bright welcoming & extremely helpful, he assisted with our parking issue & remained bright & chatty throughout. I don’t normally leave reviews, but l feel this type of welcome is becoming rare & praise where praise is due!!
- gregoryscat (8/5): Convenient and comfortable. - The usual Premier Inn room with comfortable bed and just enough of what you need for a pleasant stay. About 10 minutes from the central station and with plenty of restaurants within minutes, this is a reasonably priced and convenient place to stay. Breakfast offered enough choices to please most people with hot and cold options. Unfortunately during my three breakfasts here, some items were not replenished quickly enough leaving empty dishes and people waiting for refills. That said, the quality was good and the staff were friendly and helpful and the waits were not too long. My only disappointment was that our bedroom room faced into ‘a courtyard’ type arrangement with rooms looking directly into each other. It made the room dark and we also did not want to open the curtains and put on the light as we were closely overlooked. As we spent only a small time in the room it was relatively easily managed and clearly not something the hotel had any control over.
- elizabethmF8170EZ (10/5): Perfect - From the minute we stepped into this hotel to leaving was a fantastic stay.
The room was very clean, warm, coffee and tea facilities and had all one needed for a 2 night stay very comfortable stay. Close to the abundance of shops, cafes and pubs.
The boat trips was a must to appreciate the amazing scenery we are lucky to have on our doorstep.
All staff went the extra mile and a big thank you to Drew who definitely has that people person skills with the biggest smile. He worked so hard and was aims to please all tea facilities and had all one needed for a 2 night stay very comfortable stay. Close to the abundance of shops, cafes and pubs.

- deborahrN5475MX (10/5): 3 night stay - Have stayed here 3 times now, rooms always spotless and breakfast has always been plentiful. Unfortunately on this occasion we did have a medical issue and an ambulance was called. The staff were wonderful and efficient with many thanks to Adam, Paul and Sarah. Hopefully we’ll return in December.
- markleylan (10/5): Great hotel and staff - Premier Inns never disappoints, this one in Keswick was exceptional, good location with friendly staff and excellent breakfast, will definitely return
- StephenBoswell (4/5): Not going back - The staff are pleasant enough, but they are inattentive and untrained. The hotel is modern and clean, but is situated in a poor location. Where is management?
- andrewwL7675NE (6/5): Don’t have the breakfast - The room and location are good.
We ordered breakfast at £21.98.
We waited for ten minutes for hot food to come out, all there was were hash browns and beans I asked weather any sausage, bacon, black pudding and eggs where coming. Chef replied another 6 minutes at this point we asked for a refund and was issued one although it will take 10 days so we live and hope. Don’t waste your money on breakfast there are plenty of cafes in the town
- Destination172717 (10/5): Great customer service - I stayed here with a group of work colleagues last week. We were conducting field work in the area and got an absolute soaking (even wearing waterproofs etc). The two ladies running the hotel bar and restaurant area were very kind and allowed us to come in and use the facilities to dry off, and even make coffees to warm up even though the restaurant had closed and was being cleaned and we had officially checked out a few hours earlier. Fantastic customer service, we will be back.
- 531benjyw (10/5): Amazing Hotel !! - We stayed at this hotel at the beginning of August and then decided to return again at the end of summer because of how amazing this stay was! The hotel is located 5 min walk from the train station and 10 min from the centre of town. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. But what really made this hotel was the staff for us, especially Akeni-John (hope this is spelt correctly) who went above and beyond in both visits to make us feel so welcome. They even remembered us on the second stay and welcomed us home. Absolutely the heart of the hotel! Would 100% stay again and recommend to all! Well done!
- Athanasios (10/5): - Nice hotel. Would stay at again
- TeeJay2010 (8/5): Great base 5 min walk from station - Room was as expected for Premier Inn Plus, coffee machine, fridge, power shower, great firm bed with plug/USB/wireless charging either side of the headboard. Clean and tidy throughout, newly refurbished some attention to detail missed (skirting boards not fitted properly - didn't affect the stay at all).
The best thing about this place was the staff, couldn't fault them. Animatta (Anni) who worked on reception and also at the bar was exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble. Even when she couldn't accommodate us (no replacement water each day like Premier Inn in the UK) she took time to explain. 'Communication is the key' she said and she was right. Anything she could do was done with a smile. Thanks for looking after us.
- DigitalPlumber1 (8/5): We need to talk about accessibility - Lovely welcome at reception after walk from the main train station that had, shall we say, some interesting characters. I can imagine it would be a bit sketchy in the dark, but on the plus side it's eight mins from the platforms.
Booked a prem plus room and it was a good side, nicely appointed and the cold water, chocs etc were welcome.
I don't know where premier inn Germany are getting their beds but most hotels they feel really thin and already knackered. This is a new hotel so far as I can see, so it's the bed design bit wear. Have had the same in a few PI in Germany like Essen, Hamburg and Düsseldorf
The thing we need to talk about though is accessibility. This is an old building converted to a hotel and there are steep steps everywhere and the lifts in the second building where we are stop between levels. So you have to walk up or down a very steep flight of stairs. Not ideal with luggage or if you have mobility issues.
Oh, the internet seemed a bit slow which was weird for a city centre.
But it wasn't mad expensive for where it is to the staff are nice and to arrive late and leave early for a train it seems ideal.
- U7362RHdaniellep (6/5): A clean place to stay, good location - Fresh new hotel, however only one lift in the building, and that was out of order for our stay and we were on the top floor. Thank goodness I didn't have my disabled daughter with me on this trip, as we were not informed before we arrived.
Our room was smaller than most premier inns, and smaller than the other cologne city sud hotel we have stayed at before. But the facilities were brand new, was fine for a stop gap and somewhere to sleep that was clean and comfortable, but if you're claustrophobic, this might not be for you. There was also a gap around the door when closed and locked which showed the light in the hallway into the room.
Location was good, couldn't hear the busy road outside. Staff were few and far between but they were super helpful in letting us leave suitcases before and after check out with a luggage check tag.
- smiths273 (6/5): Nice hotel but not good housekeeping - Hotel is clean, staff friendly and hotel is close to the cathedral so short walk to the markets and city
Stayed Monday to Friday and the room wasn't cleaned or towels changed until we asked and if we hadn't asked wouldn't have been done until we left
