Guest Reviews
- 294evgeniib (2/5): Keep an eye on your belongings - I will never stay at any hotel of this chain again due to their poor attitude toward guests’ belongings and their terrible customer support.
I left behind an expensive piece of clothing at the hotel — when I got home (a 2-hour train ride away), I went through all my luggage and couldn’t find it. I am 100% sure I forgot it at the hotel. The support team told me over the phone that nothing was found in the room. My written request asking them to look for the item received no response at all. I have no idea how it could have disappeared, but the fact remains: I can no longer trust that my belongings won’t go missing during cleaning, for example.
Therefore, unfortunately, I will have to stop using this hotel chain to ensure the safety of my personal belongings.
- Explore30085022678 (10/5): Lovely night away in Loughborough - Excellent location...staff so helpful and friendly. Rooms and restaurants spotless. Breakfast was lovely will certainly be returning
- iantT1802SZ (6/5): Clean and good location - jobsworth reception - Clean and good location; not sure it was really necessary to keep us waiting when I tried to check in 7 minutes early and then ask for £15. It takes years to build a brand and apparently 7 minutes to ruin it!
- WendyBateman (10/5): Extremely clean, friendly staff and very convenient for the O2 arena - The lovely lady who helped us check in was extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms and whole hotel very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and was constantly being replenished.
We saw Radiohead at the O2 arena and this hotel is perfect and convenient. The queue for the tube was miles long for going back into London which made our trip back to our hotel so easy. We just jumped in the number 161 bus and were home in just 25 mins from when we got out of the stadium. A perfect place to stay for the venue .
- F6029NYsamuelw (10/5): Weekend stay - Rooms were tidy and very spacious. The hotel is in a great location and very easy to get to. The staff were lovely in particular Sharon who was very helpful. The price was great value and I would definitely come back if I was going to magazine again in London.
- karenv0s (10/5): Had a great night out with friends. Stayed at the Premier Inn Loughborough - A great stay at Premier Inn Loughborough. Night out with friends. Quick check in with georgie. Room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Had drinks in the bar . All staff were very pleasant. I had a great nights sleep. Restaurant and breakfast was tasty . Good choices on the buffet
- 960osahono (10/5): Grate view - One of the best and clean hotel in Woolwich arsenal the rooms are clean services 100 percent on point, when you visit ask of (Sharon) she was nice and welcoming if you ever find yourself at the hotel ask of her. Also the view that over looks the Woolwich dockyard is wonderful, wheelchair access is available among other things. And before I forget they are currently doing some children charity work so please do not forget to donate please guys.
- smC3461UR (10/5): A great space to work - I have visited this hotel regularly throughout most of 2025 for work purposes. There is always a great atmosphere. I feel at home, welcomed, and valued as a customer. It is clear the whole team care about my experience of their hotel and hospitality. They work hard to to ensure my experience is positive and are never intrusive. I will continue to use this hotel and space for my work as it provides exactly what I need to be productive in a friendly, homely atmosphere. Well done Team.
- 692phillipj (10/5): Exactly what we needed - The hub was exactly what we needed, for location and access. Be aware there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the reception area is open 24hrs
- M6004IMsarahd (10/5): Comfortable modern hotel - We had a very warm welcome on check in. Our room, a bigger double room, was very clean & comfortable. Touchscreen controls for lighting & temperature are a bonus for your comfort. There is a coffee machine & other hot drinks available 24/7 in the lounge/restaurant area. Breakfast is cheap, basic but adequate and there are numerous coffee shops/cafes within walking distance. The location is excellent if you want to visit St James's Park, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Horseguards Parade, Downing Street, The Cenotaph etc, all within walking distance.
- Navigate08693085101 (10/5): Fabulous night out in the city - Staff was extremely helpful and Lorenzo was going out of his way to accommodate requests and queries.
The room and stay was great and had fun at the bar
- JacqBillV (10/5): A budget hotel that delivers on cost, space and courtesy. - Although tucked in a side street away from a main road and surrounded by building construction, the hotel is surprisingly big inside. There is limited room to move around in the guest lounge, and as I have mobility issues this was a bit of a challenge, however the place is spotless, warm, comfortable and the bedroom was surprisingly big! Space to walk around the sides of the bed without the need to crawl across it. So comfortable too. The bathroom was again spotless and the shower awesome with the choice of 2 different shower heads. For a budget hotel, it certainly delivered and we will stay there again.
- Menicos (4/5): If you are staying there, read this to know what to expect. - Due to a student i have in Loughborough I stayed at this hotel. I plan to visit Loughborough quite often. Unfortunately this was my first Premier Inn stay and it came with many surprises. Some of them totally unexpected. First time ever it happened to me in a hotel to ask for a room clean service. When I asked they told me it was written in small print in the back of the key card. Like i ever read key cards!!!! The least he could ask was "is this your first time at premier inn?" here is how we work. Unfortunately he gave me the impression they avoid to say it so that they can save costs.
the second issue was the internet speed. It was horrible. Guys this is 2025. You cannot have dial speeds and expect guests to pay for internet. Why don't you do the same for electricity or water? No further comment - see pic.
the 3rd bad experience was that during the evening I wanted to watch a match, have a drink and a snack. I was told I cannot watch the match and have a snack unless i move 3 tables back due to "restaurant" rules. So we had to watch the match, plan dinner at half time and then go back to watch the match! Of course in the morning at the same table they served breakfast without any rules/issues!!!!
Last was the rudeness of the specific person that handled us. He was always unpolite, rude, and paternizing us. To state the obvious he was not busy and in fact watching the same match as me. Can't say the same for the 2 nice ladies that run breakfast. They were very polite and run like headless chickens to serve a huge number of people.
Unfortunately as the location is convenient i might choose to stay again at this place but i know now that i will ensure i have minimal interaction with the staff and facilities/
- W370AJgiorgior (10/5): CHECK IT OUT!! - Lovely stay!Excellent location!Lovely staff.
Breakfast cheap and light, free coffeee 24/7.and Smart room amenities!
- 732nidhik (10/5): Honest experience - Friendly staff, great location!! Rooms are cleaned as well, depending on the season the room rate it’s not that much as well.
- ifeanyio793 (2/5): A very cold experience - One of the worst experiences staying in a hotel, checked in on a very cold night and the room heater wasn’t working, I couldn’t sleep because the room was cold and had to trigger my partners asthma, reported, wrote an email complained about it and nothing was done. Not a good experience at all
- DickiD (10/5): Handy, comfortable hotel - Nice modern hotel, great position just two minutes from Woolwich tube station and 4 mins from Woolwich Arsenal DLR station. Ideal for walking along the Thames path or exploring the Woolwich Arsenal complex. Slightly further out of the Centre but most places accessible in around 20 mins by tube.
- A1256QHdebbiel (10/5): Lovely hotel stay - Extremely helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Great service, clean rooms and good facilities. I would recommend a stay at this hotel 🙂
- Camper28441156739 (10/5): Great place to stay - The staff here were both welcoming and friendly. I was especially impressed by their willingness to help and attentiveness to food allergies. I felt both comfortable and safe during my stay here. The room was clean and well maintained and the breakfast was great. I would highly recommend premier inn here in the future.
- loishT5804CG (4/5): Bad air con - Room was way too hot when asked for heating to be turned down on 2nd night worker said she would do this but laughed at me, at 2.30am husband went down again and worked did turn it down but took ages to cool down enough to sleep ruined the experience. If advertising aircon make it good enough to be effective.
Location was good and room was clean.
- christophersN2246RP (4/5): Disappointing. Lackluster cleaning. Tech issues, moldy breakfast. Good location and convenient - Decent for a 1/2 night stay but no more.
Pros:
- Location
- Cost
- Bed was nice
- very quiet inside. One morning there was jackhammer noise outside but that was the street dept so what can you do.
- Air con works (although constantly gurgled)
- shower was decent (although it was impossible to not get water all over the floor due to the partial glass partition in the shower and since they give you basically one tiny towel for the floor it made it hard to handle.
Cons:
- I paid for early check in. I had to wait in the lobby for at least half an hour as the rooms weren’t ready.
- my keycard quit working five times in eight days
- you have to request your room to be cleaned and towels changed, which is fine. Of the five days I asked for it to be cleaned it was only done three out of the five days with no explanation as to why it wasn’t done the other days.
- one day the cleaning team just took the toilet paper from my room but didn’t replace it. I didn’t realize it until a very inconvenient moment.
- I only went down for breakfast one day. Immediately I find the bread for the toast I went to make was moldy. That kinda killed my appetite.
Incidentally the lobby furniture looks like it’s been chewed up by a dog. The fabric is ripped on the chairs and they are in generally in poor repair. For the first thing you see when you walk in this is a big failure in first impressions.
I was really disappointed because I actually picked the place due to the reviews being decent and the location being so central. But I now see that this is a 1-2 night stay hotel MAX and it is not thr place to stay for any longer.
- bensH7988PW (10/5): Another pleasant stay. - Been using this Premier inn for several years, it is in a convenient location with close parking just over the road. The rooms are always as expected - typically clean, well presented and everything you need. I always book the meal deal as it presents such great value and the food is always to good standards (the restaurant area has a great vibe).
What really shines though and has prompted me to write this review are the staff - Tamara, Getys, Sophie, Sandra, Virginia and the rest of the team are a credit to this business. Keep doing what you do team, I look forward to my next visit.
- Janjugs (8/5): Good stay - but get GB News on the TV!!! - Fast check in , if a bit impersonal, I had a room on the -1 floor so no window but I guess that is the luck of draw. Room was very clean, carpet could have been a bit nicer but overall everything worked, lighting was good, heating and AC control and the shower was great. Not cheap at £173 for one night but it was a convenient location. Free tea and coffee a bonus, good charging points in the room. The only thing lacking was GB NEWS on the TV choice - come on Premier, get it together!
- goofyg699 (8/5): Excellent base - The Premier Inn Royal Arsenal was a convenient and well-connected base for our stay. Its location was excellent, with great transport links including the Underground, the Elizabeth Line, and even an Uber Boat station nearby. The high street was within easy reach and offered a variety of shops.
However, the breakfast didn’t quite meet the standard I’ve experienced at other Premier Inns. On the first day, the eggs had some chewy bits, the bananas were overripe, there was no hot chocolate available, and the coffee was only lukewarm.
- macdonald75 (10/5): Good hotel for a city visit - Stayed a few nights with my daughter. This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location. Staff were very friendly.
- anitaandphilipm (10/5): Great hotel in central London - Great location right by St James’s underground. Welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. Nothing fancy but did the job when busy out all day. Beds were comfortable and the shower was hot.
- G8406WSkarinr (10/5): Gem in Westminster - This is my go to hotel in London. Friendly staff, great location, next to St James's Park tube station, quiet at night. Absolute gem and great value.
- 391carries (10/5): Nice place and staff - Good location for why we booked here, no car park but the multi storey is opposite and cost £7 for 24 hours.
Staff were really friendly, always greeted you and smiled. Breakfast was nice the next day.
The room could have been a little better prepared for our early check in, lots of long dark hairs throughout the room. The toilet seat was loose and I realised at 3.30am when I nearly went flying off it! I reported the next day.
Overall a good stay and I would stay again.
If you like a nice cocktail, just opposite down the road and left is the ‘Little Love Club’, they make amazing cocktails and staff were really nice.
- Sandi112 (10/5): Comfortable - great value - Excellent location - just a block or away from Westminster Cathedral, Big Ben, Parliament Square and the Thames. Not well sign posted so nearly walked right by. Entrance has a flight of steps so not great to pull up a heavy suitcase. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm and they were busy with a fire drill. A very courteous receptionist helped with suitcase up the stairs and as I was ahead of the 3pm check in time, happy to store my luggage while I went out exploring. Check in later that afternoon was easy as I was checked in by receptionist- I did not make use of the electronic process as the first machine I approached was marked out of order so was vey pleased to be assisted with a manual process. Access to rooms are via electronic doors that do need your key card to open - so from a security point of view very reassuring. I had no expectation in regard to room as being a budget a hotel. But room was clean and able to accommodate my luggage comfortably. I had booked a larger room- bed was comfortable and bathroom spotless. There is soap/shampoo provided but no conditioner. Also no body lotion. I had a window albeit it that view was of the office building opposite to the hotel. Wi-Fi is stable and so connectivity was excellent as well as the TV offering. You can pair your device with the TV if having a larger screen appeals to you. Shower is good and hot water available. You can adjust the Airconditioner and that worked well. Slept well- no noise and room is dark after switching off lights. A continental breakfast is on offer which costs around £6. I did not select this option as my preferred breakfast is a hot meal with protein not carbs. But other guests seemed to be happy with this. Coffee and tea is available in the lounge free of charge all day. Soft drinks and a range of alcoholic beverages are available at a reasonable cost which you order in the lounge. There are also a small selection of meals one can order for lunch or dinner. I like my room cleaned every day and asked that this be done. After a day out arrived back to find room had been cleaned and bed made up. Very pleased with that. I ordered one of the meals on offer and it was good. Check out the following day was easy as I had paid upfront in advance of my stay. Given its location, friendly staff and comfortable room, this no frills hotel is a gem. The only negative is that some of the furniture in the lounge should be replaced and perhaps the option of a hot breakfast be on offer. The hotel is like 100 metres from St James Park underground station - very convenient but be prepared to pull up a suitcase up a few flight of stairs.
- elligta (10/5): Great stay, again - Our second stay at this location. A really good stay. Very comfy bed and the rooms are super clean. The breakfast is a great value, it can be busy and they may run out if things. You just have to time it right.
The lobby is cozy and we loved to sit and get a coffee and talk about the next day. Overall such a great location. Very clean. Good bed. Good breakfast. We’ll be back.
- J4808BSsimonb (4/5): OK if you like a sauna - Normally you can rely on a Premier Inn to give a good room at a reasonable price. However, this was not the case here.
Good lord it was like sleeping (or trying to) in a sauna. The room was incredibly hot and humid. The ventilation simply did not seem to work. Normally, I would have opened a window, but this had been locked shut and the handle removed (not sure at all why).
Definitely not the good night expected!
- sm02gan (8/5): No English mustard. - We arrived late and the staff were very helpful. We missed the food however, We could order food in and eat in the bar area. Usual standards in the room only 7 tv channels. Breakfast was standard unfortunately this is the only premier inn out of many, we have stayed that has not had English mustard available.
- John (10/5): - Price location service 5 stars
- Guide51667258021 (8/5): Lovely experience - Good neat and clean hotel with excellent simple breakfast. Amazing location in town . I used the hotel to drop my son off to Loughborough university and found the hotel very convenient. The staff can be more helpful and cheerful :)
- heathersX42SC (4/5): Sadly a very disappointing stay - Was very dissapointed with this hotel, I usually love Premier Inn wherever we visit and therefore don't usually bother reading reviews before booking. On arrival there were 2 self check in machines that were out of order, the staff on reception didn't even bother to look up so I tried to check in on my PI app but eventually the receptionist did ask if we had a reservation but it felt like we were a inconvenience. Once at our room, the smell of stale cigarettes was horrendous. And unable to open the window at all as no handle (it had been removed). Tried popping out and leaving the air con on but that just meant we returned to a cold and smelly room. It was late so we climbed into bed, and one of the reasons I book PI is because the extras beds in family rooms are good with proper mattresses so it didn't dissapoint in this area. This is a noisy hotel though, lots of banging and residual noise from the floor above (again not something that is usually a problem with PI). At breakfast the staff were really friendly but sadly 3 staff to seat people, take payments, clear tables, top up food, cook food, clear plates, load the dishwasher, empty dishwasher etc etc safe to say there was a lot of waiting around for things but the poor staff were working very very hard. Food was nice though. Final thought, ignore the directions from the app, we were on foot from the station and it wanted to take us well beyond where the hotel was actually located.
Useful things to note, very close to the tube station and the uber boats into Central London, close to the Acosta Centre, and there is a Lidl over the road.
- WDbxl (8/5): Good value for LCY - Convenient to LCY, just two stops past on the DLR, it made a good alternative to the more expensive Excel arena area. Room the typical Premier Inn layout and design feels fresh still. Kind service. Some odour issues around must in our room, but this cleared out quickly when we turned on the aircon. Would consider again if needed the location.
- Phoebe (8/5): - The hotel is easily accessible by the subway and buses. The room is spacious. Tea and coffee with milk and sugar are readily available both inside the room and in the lobby. Mugs and spoons are provided.
However, the rubbish bins should have been emptied every day. The flush button was not easy to be pushed and the flush was not strong enough.
- gracetC1999PE (10/5): Great experience - This hotel was clean and accommodating! They provided me with gluten free bread and were super friendly. It was a great experience. The rooms are small but have lots of storage. We were there for two nights and it was perfect for our needs.
- N3369BZsharonv (2/5): A/C purginig noise all night - Not able to sleep well due to the constant noise of the air conditioning purging system. Even though I turned off the A/C a sharp noise will emerge every 20 min all night. Worst nightmare!
- U8033FHbradp (10/5): Staff shoutout - My experience was excellent, the staff were impeccable especially Tamara, Jack and gytis who were serving the breakfast.
Would recommend
- arlenegraham12 (10/5): Highly recommended - Fantastic location and staff were so friendly and accommodating, we paid extra for breakfast and it was great too! Free tea and coffee throughout your stay too
- alexsK6552TH (10/5): Excellent - Service was excellent and all the staff were so kind, Tamara, Gytis and jack were all so lovely and had many nice conversations with them. The bed was very comfy and food was very tasty. Will definitely come again.
- B410QEtamarah (10/5): Amazing stay - Rebecca and Sandra couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried.
What pleasant people they have working at the site.
Credit to premier inn team!!!!
- 122miftahula (10/5): Good - Tamara and Gytis very kind and generous and helpful people who I can vouch for. Really good people to have around working.
- 777bent (4/5): No staff no solutions. - This place is a failed experiment in “how few staff can we get away with having for a hotel”.
There are two check in machines. One was broken so we had to queue for the other.
It spits out one key. There’s no machine to get duplicates and you need it both to operate the lift and lights in the room (other cards don’t work). So I leave my family sitting in the dark while I go back to the car for our luggage.
The tv remote control was out of battery, but we couldn’t find someone to replace it on our first try.
The shower leaks: it sprays water directly sideways past the shower curtain into the room. Noticed this in the morning, but there was no one to tell at check out and housekeeping obviously don’t check it so the next people will have the same issue.
There’s no bin in the lobby, is that to save on cleaners too? So leave smelly rubbish in your room, or just on the floor in the lobby like someone else did.
- 1979Cyprus (6/5): Weekend Visit - We revisited and spent two nights but this time our room was on the side of the road, which isn't as quiet as the other side of the accommodation. The rooms are a good size. We learnt from previous stay that you need to ask reception for clean towels. Since Housekeeper don't change them for a two night stay. We didn't sleep well due to heavy footed person walking around upstairs. We found out that we should have got up and gone down to reception to report at the time, but hayho. We will take note for any future stays. We enjoyed the breakfast and the evening meal deals. The staff are very polite and friendly.
- juliesF4171JX (10/5): Perfect for a stay in Loughborough - Very clean hotel in a great spot for the town centre. Friendly staff.
There is no car park attached but there is a multistorey opposite which was £7 for 24 hours.
- deborahw229 (10/5): Fave us a hood lay in - We stayed for one night, as we had an appointment at a London Hospital and travelled from the coast. The hotel stay helped to break the journey & allowed a lay in before the early start we had from there
- Q7937EBsimonw (10/5): Quality, ease, comfort, quiet, and value. - The price point is excellent. The entire hotel was clean and quiet. The service was top-notch: staff never made me feel like a burden and always helped me quickly and attentively.
I stayed here in August 2025 for approximately one week while visiting family. It was steps away from the underground/metro and light rail, and about 30-40 minutes by direct train from Heathrow. It's extremely easy to get downtown or to regional or national trains (as easy as the Tube can be).
While the immediately adjacent corner is under construction, there's lots of nice things in the surrounding area. There's also a ton of food and culture - this neighbourhood is like Brooklyn, New York or Scarborough in Toronto.
I'm so pleased that I've broken my rule and signed up for their app. I'll be staying here when I visit London from now on.
- thatoffroadguy (10/5): Good experience. - Usual Premier inn stuff for the hotel, clean and with a decent shower.
Really welcoming staff and excellent service from, Tamara, Sophie and Sayali- really makes a difference when staying away from home in hotels regularly to be met by friendly people.
Parking is a bit of a faff, but otherwise good.
- Deyuze (10/5): Promises Delivered. - Always a joy to come back. Hotel has been well maintained over the years. Delivers on whatever is promised. WiFi has both free and paid options. Breakfast options are good and there are alternatives close by.
Cool place to stay anytime.
- Tourist21703908662 (10/5): Awesome stay - Great stay love the breakfast lovley clean room hats off to the housekeepers. Staff all welcoming and friendly. 24 hour bar, close to town. Really enjoyed our stay
- R8100OAbeckyg (10/5): Great stay - Stayed here again and had a fab stay , defo recommend close to Loughborough university where my daughter goes . Close walk to the town center , staff are always friendly and welcoming
- H4834JLsarahr (8/5): Weekend Stay - Good location for access into London via Elizabeth Line. Booking & check in very easy. Comfy rooms. Hotel and bar staff were very friendly and very helpful. Would use this hotel again
- Khalil (2/5): - Service und Frühstück war ok. Nette personal!
Aber sehr schmutziges Zimmer !
- Myriam (8/5): - Ménage est fait juste à la demande.
Le tapis dans les chambres a vécu du parquet ou du lino seraient une plus hygienique et donneraient une impression de propreté
- Sherpa65046375668 (10/5): Excellent - Very welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely clean rooms nd bathrooms. Food was of great quality, tasted very nice. Overall great experience, would definitely recommend.
- Cachibala (10/5): - Good place but just probably more stuff directing where to go because you can easily get lost.
- chinabairn (6/5): Uncomfortably stuffy at night. - Stayed here for a few nights to attend family birthday party nearby. Great price for the location. Lots of bars, restaurants nearby. Tesco express round the corner. Staff were very kind, and pleasant. Now the bad bits. Rooms were a bit shabby, but clean enough. There was a complete lack of air in the room. Window only opens a few inches, and air cooling system is a joke. Was boiling during the night, and it wasn't that hot outside either. Could barely sleep. So stuffy and uncomfortable. No fresh air whatever. Wondered perhaps if heating system or boiler was next to our room. Was fine during the day, but awful at night. For that I probs wouldn't go back, which is a shame, as it's a friendly place.
- 422ellyc (10/5): thank you for a good stay - Always happy to be back at Woolwich. Although the new woman in reception is mostly on her phone and had no clue about how to help me with the new wifi, or any other basic information... Daniel and Karina went above and beyond for us, always happy to see you again. Rooms are the same, clean and good for our family visit. Breakfast a joy ass always
- Getaway63841717838 (10/5): Good Price - Reasonably priced for the area with all amenities provided.
Had difficulty checking in but Daniyaal sorted everything out.
- Annie (10/5): - Everything is walking distance. Enjoyed the stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I just got back from my trip to London and the my stay at Premier INN was awesome. The staff was great and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. I would def stay here again!
