• 545georginas (2/5): Don’t use the restaurant here!! - Experience was terrible at the restaurant within the hotel - when we arrived, we said we had booked a table for 7pm for 7 people. The waitress had made a mistake when booking in, and the chef was so rude to her in front of us which was super unprofessional. He then stomped off and we were left to the table. Ordering drinks at the bar took 20 minutes! The waitress was making drinks one at a time which meant it’s so slow. We were then told it was a 45 minute wait for food, and there were hardly anyone eating in the restaurant. We then decided to leave and go somewhere else as it was such an awful atmosphere. Don’t come to this restaurant!

The room was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing night’s sleep. Everything was well-maintained and exactly what you’d expect from a reliable hotel. A special mention goes to Lizzie and Michael, who were absolutely amazing throughout my stay. They were available 24/7 if I needed anything and consistently went above and beyond to help. Their friendliness and professionalism made a real difference and made me feel genuinely looked after. The hotel’s location was convenient, and breakfast offered a good variety of fresh options. Overall, this Premier Inn provided exceptional value and outstanding service. Thanks to the incredible staff—especially Lizzie and Michael—I would happily stay again and highly recommend it to others.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional team behind it. Every staff member I encountered was genuine, attentive, and incredibly professional. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with the front desk staff offering helpful tips about the hotel and surrounding area. Throughout my stay, the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect—from housekeeping keeping the room spotless to the restaurant staff providing impeccable service with a smile. What impressed me most was how every request, big or small, was handled with efficiency and sincerity. It’s clear that the staff take real pride in their work, and their positive attitude made the entire experience unforgettable. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, but it’s the people here who truly elevate the stay. • AnitaYakul (10/5): Practical and comfortable - We were only there for the night, visiting family over the weekend. overall the stay was pleasant, the room was clean and very cosy, the restaurant was inviting and the staff were very nice. there was a good selection of food for breakfast. Oh, and onsite parking front and back which was handy. The hotel is situated in a good location, close to everything you need, station next door, opposite the beach, next to dreamland and all the shops and restaurants.
• markaC3554SX (10/5): Great, as usual. - We stayed to attend an event at the Lowry and this hotel was in a great position for that. It has all of the things that you expect from Premier Inn - a comfy bed in a quiet hotel and good breakfast etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Chargeable parking is just next door and you can get a discount from the hotel, meaning that it's pretty reasonable for a city. We had a great time and will, no doubt, be back.
• AdamFloze (10/5): Exceeded Expectations - Staying at a budget hotel in Margate, my expectations were somewhat measured. However after leaving today I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be returning to this hotel. Staff were attentive, friendly and always available. Food was nice and tasty Room was clean, spacious and well maintained Overall very happy.

Very reasonably priced rooms and right on the tram line for a quick journey to the city centre. Parking available in the adjacent multi storey at a reduced rate (Less.than half of the daily standard rate).
• AMC32 (10/5): Just the job! - We booked a last minute night here after a visit to the Corrie experience! We requested a quiet room on arrival and were rewarded with a peaceful nights sleep in a comfy bed and blackout curtains. Room was large and comfortable…the usual Premier Inn standard. We didn’t use any of the hotels facilities as we ate at a local restaurant. Was a room for a purpose and ticked the boxes. Be aware there is quite a low height limit at the car park opposite which we were not aware of. The hotel/car park helped us find a solution.
• Flomingo08 (8/5): Great stay for Old Trafford match - Great location for attending a match at old Trafford. Near a shopping centre also and lots of restaurants. Hotel was reasonable and perfect for a 1 night stay to go to a match. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good.

• ruddyhell (4/5): As it is, disappointing - Stopped for a couple of nights. The location was perfect for us right by the train station and a short walk to everything else in margate. We arrived a couple of hours before check in. Stopped in to ask if we could drop a bag and was told we could check in early for £15 so we did. The 2 women we dealt with were unfriendly bordering on rude. Had a room With a sea view but it was old and dirty and was in need of a refurbishment which seemed to be happening elsewhere around the hotel. Unusually for a Premier inn I also found the bed very uncomfortable. We had breakfast one day and again the too women seemed very offish towards us however they were chatting and friendly to the older clients. The breakfast was also only luke warm. On check out we dealt with a gentleman who was friendly and helped us store our bags for us. I didn't get his name but he seemed to be the only person we spoke to who knew how to smile and be helpful and friendly.
• holmd30 (6/5): If you like a warm room to sleep great otherwise dont bother - Building is very smart, self service check out was simple to use. Room was in reasonable condition, the headboard had a rip, few patches of paint where damage has been covered up although the room itself was a reasonable size. I arrived around d 8.30 and parked in the car park opposite, a discount is available by getting your ticket stamped although I did have to speak to the office in the building to do it. Breakfast was good, small selection compared to other hotels but adequate for my needs. The main thing that let it down was the temperature- the building is very warm so when I arrived it was lovely however with a duvet on it is far too warm. I turned on the air conditioning however what I didn't know was it only works for a couple of hours and turns itself off. I thought it was continuous and didn't realise until 5am this was the case. In the morning I did speak to a staff member who advised this is thr case as they assume during the day you are out and that you can just turn it back on so unfortunately I didn't have a good night sleep as I keep waking up sweating and ended up not being on form which unfortunately due to the days events and reason I was staying impacted thr outcome of the following day severely. I dread to think what the hotel would be like in summer and not mid October!

• 689grahamj (10/5): Comfortable and a Great stay. - I was un town to see the Coronation Street experience. The hotel was close to the studio and a Great stay. The Premier plus room was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good. All in all a Great stay and added to the trip.
• Explorer32280493565 (10/5): Premier Margate weekend getaway - Perfect location to get out and about in Margate. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble. All staff were very welcoming and attentive, providing additional information about the area. We requested a quiet twin room which was arranged and this had just been renovated and was in perfect condition. Parking on site so easy to access. We would recommend.

• JonnySharp (10/5): Great value for money - Staying in this hotel represents great value for money. The room was very spacious and there was a nicely fitted bathroom with 'rain shower'. As the Premier Inn TV commercial with Lenny Henry suggests you can bank on a good night's sleep in the brand's beds, thanks to the amazingly comfortable mattresses. One of the highlights of staying here was the meal deals. I discovered some lovely pubs in Margate but not much choice when it came to evening food availability. This is where the Premier Inn excels offering a steak, dessert and pint at a deal price you won't find elsewhere. The hotel is only about five minutes walk from the centre of Margate and its long sandy beaches. For night owls like me you can pop out to a nearby Wetherspoon's pub (The Mechanical Elephant) for a late drink. Parking was free for me but paid parking for guests was being introduced during my three night stay and guests need to ensure on their day of departure they move their car from the hotel's car park by a fixed time to avoid a penalty charge. Full English breakfast fans will be in their element here though on busy days it may be best to avoid peak times during breakfast sittings. Overall there is a lot to admire about the Premier Inn brand.

• Stay60931823854 (10/5): Excellent - We stayed here on Monday evening having had to rush to Margate hospital Sunday night due to a family emergency. We was looked after by Richard whom was one of the nicest, professional and most helpful person I have ever had deal with us in a long time. He could not help enough was lovely to talk to and made us feel better after what was a long night and day at the hospital. Premier inn this man is your greatest asset. Room was lovely food was great and we will definitely stay again. Thank you Richard
• chriswZ7958ZU (8/5): One night in Margate. - Usual Premier Inn experience. All fine. I’ve stayed here many timed, there have been some recent changed. Some of the rooms are now directly above the reconfigured bar, there are speakers in the ceiling of the bar, music from the bar can be heard in some first floor rooms. This problem was resolved by a the team member turning the music off.
• Sophia (8/5): - The room was exactly how described and was suitable for our 2 night stay, being walkable to Old Trafford. Biggest let down was the fact that there was no fridge in the room, air conditioning wpuld switch itself off leaving us in a hot room during the night, and breakfast was over cooked both mornings (leaving my 6 year old to vomit due to how dry the hashbrowns were after being so overcooked). The lady on reception was fantastic and extremely accommodating during our stay - had issues entering our details in the kiosk upon check in, so she kindly assisted us. All in all, a reasonable stay, but would look elsewhere next time for better breakfast options.

Excellent breakfast. 10 second walk from Margate railway station and plenty of parking. Lots of staff on duty in the morning and the place was busy - probably the top value place to stay in Margate. Only 2 years since it had a major refurb, so everything is shiny and new

• F9553NBkevind (6/5): Restaurant meals below standard/poor - Media city Salford Manchester hotel location/room was good was clean and quiet price was average. No staffed check in anymore just a screen for DIY check in. Restaurant staff were helpful. We arrived on a friday evening in hotel restaurant for 7.30pm on ordering were informed there was no sirloin steak no pizza no fish and chips no chicken curry no smothered chicken no topping for seabass (there may have been more unavailable) made me think what did you have on your menu!! also no bottles of my 1st choice beer. I picked a vegan burger with chips and coleslaw - what a mistake, the burger was barely warm little taste and looked like it had been created by mixing a powder and water and made into a circular shape it was awful. Everyone knows what coleslaw looks like theirs can only be described as a pile of yellow gunge and tasted horrible. So this spoilt my evening. We stay in premier inns in various parts of the country this has been the worst restaurant meal and choice. Was the choice because it was Friday and they had ran out of everything so could only have what's left in the fridge? If people are only eating certain meals then just provide those meals and don't run out. I was very disappointed and this should not be acceptable come on media city get your act together you can provide far better than this.
• Cliint (10/5): Changes at the Margate Premier Inn are very impressive - The transformation of the Margate Premier Inn is quite extraordinary. Was it the genius who designed the layout of the Ground floor Receptn / Rest? Maybe Or was the improvements of the new rooms? Possibly. Or is it the welcoming of all the helpful staff that seem to go out of their way to show that they seem really pleased to see you? Maybe Or was it the new Manager, Bonnie Cooper that has injected something very special into the Margate Premier Inn? Most definitely The staff and the guests all seem to be enjoying themselves. • JeremyTennent (2/5): I don't like the modern world - NO TO SELF SERVICE CHECK IN. Why do hotels have self service check in's? We didn't know what to do, so someone had to come from the bar (6 feet away) to help. What is the piont? So impersonal! The room was nice and new (previously the Brewers Fayre part on the building) but nowhere to put anything. We stayed here as has very early start on coach trip next day. When we looked to see about room service we found is had to be booked at the bar. Not very satisfactory. Had to try and dry towels, but nothing to dry them on. We needed more toilet paper and had to go to the crowded bar to ask. Very embarrassing. The whole thing was very impersonal.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Thank you Premier Inn, you rarely disappoint. The adjacent car park was a bonus, especially as the machine was broken, so we parked for free.

It's confusing, intimidating, and causes anxiety -especially when arriving late in the evening, tired and miserable and surrounding by other guests. What happened to a traditional reception with a smiling face to greet you and check you in!

• Katherine_EastLondon (10/5): Perfect! - Was dreading this after a horrible stay recently at a Premier Inn Little Witcombe. This exceeded my expectations, exactly as a family room with no air con should be. Decent amount of ventilation, more than basic fan and enough room to easily get round the beds. The room was lovely overlooking the seafront and the location was incredible. Loads of parking and right next to the station (didn't hear one train). The staff were really excellent, helpful and friendly. There was an issue with our remote control and we returned from dinner to a lovely message and issue had been looked into. Kids loved it too and breakfast was lovely. Well done and thank you, will be back!

• 53charlottef (10/5): Spot on! - I will start by saying that this is a Premier Inn, so you know what you are getting from the very beginning, which is why I try to book PI when I go away as I know I will have a decent sleep in a comfy bed and an excellent breakfast the next morning. This Premier Inn was very easy to find, it was a very short walk from Media City tram stop, which was itself a very smooth journey from Manchester Piccadilly station. On this occasion, we had paid a little extra for a Premier Plus room, it was only £10 more than the standard room at the time of booking and it was more than worth it. Check in was nice and easy and the staff member was incredibly helpful, showing us how to activate a second key card for the room. Navigating to our room was also a very simple process (you have to use your key card to get through to the lifts and then again to use the lift, which is excellent security). The Premier Plus room was beautiful and exceeded our expectations, it was roomy, well decorated and had a fridge, iron and ironing board, Nespresso machine and a glorious rainfall shower. The room was spotlessly clean with no faults. We were very excited to see that we had a view that peeked a little onto "The Cobbles" (Coronation Street) as this was the reason for our visit. There is a Co-op a very short walk around the corner from the hotel, which proved very useful and is excellent placement. As always in a Premier Inn, we enjoyed an excellent nights sleep. We also booked breakfast for the next morning to set us up for our day out (I always recommend booking a PI breakfast). We were very impressed with the options available at breakfast, which has something for everyone and suits all dietary requirements. The very lovely, friendly and warm Lizzie ensured we were given the allergen menu (one of us is coeliac) and quickly ordered a plate of "vegan bacon" for us on request. The restaurant was smaller than the one at the last Premier Inn we were in, but we actually preferred this as it felt more intimate but didn't impact on the choice available, which was great! Unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken at breakfast, but there was still instant coffee and tea bags available to make a hot drink and this absolutely does not impact my review at all, as this is something that cannot be helped and we had a Nespresso machine in our room for a proper coffee anyway! Checkout was swift and straightforward, again, as we would expect from Premier Inn. We will definitely be returning when we visit Manchester again and really hope that we see Lizzie next time, as she was outstanding!

Parking in the multi-storey carpark next door was excellent, wide spaces, secure, and parking ticket was validated for a discount by premier inn staff. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we are in the area.
