Guest Reviews
- 477janef (8/5): Birmingham trip - Very comfortable stay, quiet room on the ground floor even though it was very near reception, I think the other guests were very considerate and we were not disturbed at all. Dinner and breakfast were superb value and very good. I would like to make particular mention of the staff who were without exception warm, friendly and efficient. We were very impressed, thank you.
- LibsJanet (10/5): Nice Hotel! - I’ve visited this hotel multiple times over the past seven years, and always had a fantastic stay with no problems! A lovely hotel, with a modern restaurant and caring staff. Lovely location - nice and easy to get to the airport, NEC, Resorts World, Shopping, and BP Pulse Live (used to be Resorts World Arena) 😊
- Colliewobbler (10/5): How to get there from the NEC - Very convenient for the NEC. Can be a bit confusing initially finding your way to the right path. If you arrive at birmingham international by train, walk through the NEC and head for the exit at hall 17. Out the door and head to the right, cross over the zebra crossing and head for the main car park straight ahead. Cross the road and take the path to the left. Keep walking, cross the road again and you’ll see the purpley lights of the hotel beckoning you forth. Stick to the pavement crossing the road just shy of a roundabout and keep going. There’s a tarmac path just after the fence to the hotel entrance. It’s all quite poorly signposted, but hopefully this will help other visitors walk back and forth safely. Took 20 mins at a steady pace from train to hotel door.
- X5203HJjt (8/5): Easy Work Trip - Easy work trip- stayed for 2 nights as was attending event at the NEC. Easy walk way to the halls from the hotel- approx. 15 mins walking to access Hall 6.
Unfortunately was placed in room 1- bedroom on the ground floor with adjoining wall to toilets on the ground floor. Everytime the hand dryer is used it rattles through into the bedroom. Kind Gigi on reception was able to move rooms for me the next morning after minimal sleep.
- michaelbE5115WW (8/5): Poor access - Reasonable budget hotel and very helpful staff but access is a big negative. The walking path to the NEC has been blocked off and with part of the NEC closed when I visited, a previous 20 minute walk (half under cover within the NEC) to an exhibition turned out to be a 30 minute trek in the rain. If you want a taxi, there is no taxi rank at the hotel and no notice giving numbers to call for a local taxi.
As others have said, parking is expensive (£15 per night). Why can there not be free parking for guests staying at the hotel? If leaving and returning during a stay, there was no information about if payment was needed each time or only at checkout. It appears the system is quite smart and takes payment in 24 hour periods, but this is not made clear on the notices. I received an e-mail saying that as I had booked before the parking price increased I could have a code from the staff to pay at the previous cheaper rate, buit when I asked I was told to leave my car registration number, not pay and it would be sorted out. This sounded like a recipe for a £100 penalty charge so I paid anyway.
With all these hassles, probably better to stay elesewhere when visiting the NEC.
- SandyT263 (10/5): Good value, good service, convenient for the NEC - Ideally situated a short and easy walk from the NEC, or only a £7-8 taxi ride from the Railway station. I arrived around 5pm on a weeknight, self check-in was easy and the room was clean, warm and welcoming. Usual facilities, tea/coffee, television, and ensuite toilet with a bath which was very welcome. Heating was easy to control. There's a nice area called "The Social" which comprises a bar and restaurant. Good range of food options for dinner and breakfast and good attentive service. Special shout out to Claire, waitress at dinner AND breakfast who obviously works long hours but is friendly and cheerful. Top tip - if you want an early dinner book the night before if you can. I left it too late on my first night and had to wait until 9pm for a reservation. My room was on the second floor and perfectly quiet. Summary - a good value hotel, convenient for the NEC which won't break the bank.
- christinebL7571PV (10/5): Good experience - The hotel was very accessible. Easy to check in. We did the meal deal which was very good value for money. Definitely recommend
- juliewI6042JM (8/5): Cake international - Staff is what makes this hotel as they are friendly helpful and polite, ruby the robot was a nice addition .would be nice if we could our meals on line when I book the room but that is the only negative I can write
- paulaaZ9307YN (8/5): Bit of a mixed bag! - We arrived at 8.45pm, asked what time food was served till. Was told it stopped serving "about now" so we were out of luck! There were only one set of towels for party of two staying in the room. Tea & coffee facilities had not been replenished prior to our arrival. But the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely and value for money.
- McSweets007 (10/5): Excellent hotel close to the NEC - The hotel is in the perfect location for access to the NEC - easy walking distance. All the staff members were very friendly and welcoming, and super helpful throughout our stay. We had breakfast and dinner one evening, both of which were tasty and the serving staff were incredibly nice. Very convenient car parking. All in all a really great place to stay and would highly recommend it if you're visiting the NEC.
- F3376QUnickyc (4/5): Hidden costs and reluctance to take cash payments - Hidden parking charges and reluctance to accept cash payments didn't sit well. 15 for parking for one night turned a cheap stop off into a much more expensive stay. I would have stayed elsewhere had I known.
- G3668ADrichardm (10/5): Great Stay - Had a great stay here and the team were friendly and super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely quiet nights sleep and a great dinner and breakfast! Stayed in a Premier Plus room which only cost £10 more and was really smart.
- O5159YRnickh (10/5): Just what was needed - Went to use NEC Premier Inn for Hyrox Birmingham. Reception was great. Was made aware ahead of time that one of the lifts was out of order but we were only on the first floor.
Room was clean and a great size. Staff were excellent and helpful and breakfast as always was great
- om446 (10/5): Very pleasant stay - I've had a very good and comfortable stay for 5 nights at the hotel. I was welcomed and checked in by Mia, and she has been absolutely amazing with her very friendly and professional demeanor throughout the process. I've had a few questions and couple of requests about my room arrangement, and everything was handled by her brilliantly.
- Q7406BYdarrenc (10/5): A well run hotel - Probably the best Premier Inn that we stay in. One lift was not working and it was busy at mealtimes but we exhibited at the NEC motorhome and caravan show and this hotel is always busy when we stay.
The staff work their socks off and everyone here deserves some recognition for the work they do.
The hotel is looking a bit jaded and could do with a lick of paint. The car park could do with a refresh in places.
- JohlouM (2/5): Stay away - Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) booked a family room. The room was unclean and smelt musty and damp.
After a long day we were hoping to have an evening meal. Went down to the restaurant at 6:30pm to be told there were no tables left due to guests and non-guests eating. Asked for a later table but nothing available all night.
Not one member of staff advised us where we could eat. Ended up in McDonald’s which was 10 minutes away.
Returned hoping to have a drink in the bar, but nothing available tables or seats available. But we could have drinks in our room.
Breakfast in the morning was stone cold and the eggs did not taste right. We were all feeling ill afterwards and cut our stay in Birmingham short.
Staff were unhelpful and dismissive.
Also charged us for full parking despite having a disabled badge.
- Y998FVkeving (6/5): Could have been better. - Our room was a long way from the lift/stairs and I have to go to the ground floor twice, the first time was to ask about getting a second bath towel as there was only one in the room and there were two of us staying, the second time I had to go down stairs was to ask for coffee pods, milk and treats, Apart from that everything else was fine.
- embaby1989 (6/5): Not bad for 1 night - The room wasn't the cleanest and it was red hot with poor ac. Bed and bathroom was OK.
The wider decor in the hotel was nice and modern. It's self service check in which is all well and good but it doesn't work if you've booked 3rd party so we needed a member of staff to help us anyway. The booking in the restaurant was weird. We were told we could only book 5 or 7:30 but 6, 6:30 and 7pm passed with lots of seats available.
- 990jok (2/5): Car stolen from their car park - Would give this zero if I could.
Our car was stolen. A company called horizon run and premier inn not bothered. Horizon customer service was non existent and this has defo happened before, that was obvious from premier inn staff. One member of staff was nice and took our details for CCTV.
If you want to drive home in your car do not park here. Absolutely gutted
- 77jebb (10/5): Great stay - Lovely stay for 6 days for HOYS at the nec, always my preferred place to stay, everyone friendly, clean and tidy nice setting
- Manisha (8/5): - Everything else was okay but they charged extra for parking. On expedia while booking it shows £6 for parking and they took £15 which is more than double the amount. I was so disappointed
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel that did the job - Good hotel, was all we needed for our stay. The only thing is make sure you book for the restaurant in the morning otherwise you could have to wait for hours to get a table! We went in at half 6 to have a table and couldn't have one until 9.
- Sheila (10/5): Nice hotel near LG arena - Nice clean room, cozy bed and a good breakfast, large bathroom. Views over he back of the hotel. Very quiet
- sonia (8/5): nec vist - been many times before aways very good only down this time was lack of staff at bar long wait no one serving pain when you want a drink while having meal
- Sue (10/5): Close to NEC - Great clean hotel with comfy beds. Helpful friendly staff. Large restaurant with good breakfast
- Sarah (4/5): Hotel well situated for NEC - Premier Inn have a wonderful advert with Lenny Henry sleeping in the middle of very noisy places - train station, wedding reception etc - and our stay felt like that. The staff were delightful. However, the entire stay was marred by a poorly built and designed hotel. The Premier is obviously purpose built but no attention has been paid in its design to sound insulation. The guests in the room above ours stomped around for an hour from 5 in the morning. I thought it had been converted into an office they walked around so continuously. Our room was near the rubbish and recycling bins and the delivery lorries which reversed in to make their deliveries. The window was double glazed but the frame had a ventilation space and all the noise from the outside came in.
We booked in for two nights but left after one.
- gillian (10/5): Long walk - It was a long walk to the LG arena , as no shuttle buses from hotel , a bit of a wait for food , need more staff at evening mealtime , otherwise great staff were most helpful and pleasant
- Mahmood (8/5): Nice hotel to stay. - An excellent hotel to stay. Some light disturbance noticed by other customers nearly 5 '0'clock in the morning.
- Qrops01 (6/5): Poor, try Accor hotel near airport - Will do our level best not to stay here again: Food is at best poor. my evening meal of pie and chips offered up chips hard enough to pierce a car tyre. The pie comprised pastry containing goo! Not sure what the meat was but there was zero texture to it. As for the room my son's 'put me up bed' was clearly knackered. He had a terrible night sleep, as we all did because every time he turned over this best squeaked for all it was worth. Clearly Premier skimped on build quality. The foot noise from the room above was awful creak, creak, creak and at times we could have joined the conversation of the occupants. We had a 1st floor room facing the entrance and late revellers didn't try to keep noise levels to a more appropriate level and the glazing was insufficient to address this problem.Breakfast was average
- Awel (10/5): slept like a log! - Good location to LG arena. Good food. Clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient for NEC - It's a Premier Inn - they're all the same; useful but bland. It was comfortable and clean, and had the facilities required.
However, the promise that the 30 minutes per day free wi-fi can be used in separate sessions, rather than all in one go, was a lie. I used it for 7 minutes in the morning then switched off wi-fi, came back in the evening and was told I had used up my free time.
Why say 'leave your towels on the rail if you want to re-use them'? We did not leave the towels in the bath, we left them hanging up, so they should not have been changed. Premier Inn claim to be conscious of the environment etc. and encouraging reduced use of water and power, but then ignore their own policy. The nice girl on reception I discussed this with couldn't seem to understand this.
The one evening meal we had was adequate, but the service was dreadfully slow, not enough staff or kitchen facilities for the large number of people I presume. The waiter knew nothing about the limited wine offered with the meal deal, and the menu wasn't much help either.
- Anne (6/5): Great hotel - big big let down on food - As usual with Premier Inn the hotel bedroom was first class, but the food really let it down. The meals were not fantastic, they were too expensive and the service was appalling both in the evening and at breakfast!! Get your act together Premier Inn - bring everything about your customer's stays in your establishments up to a fantastic standard, not a half hearted attempt at competing with your competitors!!!!
- Faith (4/5): I've had better experiences - Not enough car parking! - told by attendant to park precariously on a corner, which I was not going to do as very risky. Ended up having to sit around waiting for a space. The parking meters are mis-leading: clearly states that if you have a personalised number plate, to fill spaces with "00" which I did, but it wouldn't work on numerous occasions, only to be told by attendant unless you have 7 digits, maybe if the machine said that I wouldn't have wasted my time! Not having plug sockets near the side of the bed is infuriating, because a lot of people need to charge their phones, and also use them as alarms, ended up having to manoeuvre the bed to the other side of the room. I've had better experiences.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good enough. - I booked this because it was near the airport so my expectations were met. Otherwise, the A/C was insufficient and I had to open a window. The overflow from the bar sat outside chatting (loudly!) under my window until 3am, when I had to wake up from my flight. The wi-fi didn't work, which made checking in for flights challenging. The hallways were the longest hallways I have seen on four continents.
- Nyal (8/5): Excellent accomodation - Really pleased with our room, it was extremely clean and the staff professional and friendly. Breakfast was of a very good quality although I believe tea and coffee served at your table would be an improvement. Overall very satisfied.
- Ken March (10/5): - Excellent service , comfort, and food.
- Rays (10/5): Leisure - Another excellent stay at the premier inn, as always very friendly and helpful staff excellent rooms with comfy beds, food as always very good and plentiful
- james (8/5): Very central for nec and area around birmingham - We enjoyed the hotel with friendly helpful staff, with free parking,
Room was comfortable with option of breakfast if needed.
We were able to enjoy a drink in the lounge when we returned in the evening which was good
- Blanca (8/5): Usefully close to the NEC. - Our only disappointment was not being able to book dinner on the day of our arrival, because the restaurant was so booked up!
- bill (4/5): poor! - 1 hr 20 mins wait for a meal... arrived cold...sent back...microwaved and returned! Really poor service when busy.
- chocolate (10/5): - not enough parking
- K.Bates (10/5): Fantastic service - Overnight stay to watch a concert at LG Arena.Very impressed with the service i received. The meal deal including breakfast was fantastic value. They also provided a taxi service outside to get everyone to the gig.Would use this hotel again the next time im here to watch a concert.Keep up the good work!!!!
- Mark (8/5): OK - Friendly staff, room was nice, but the bathroom a little tired. Poor signposting generally around the NEC makes things hard to find.
- Red Rob (8/5): no hot water - The hotel provided everything we needed as we were going to the LG Arena. However, we were not impressed by the total lack of hot water in the morning, or the difficulty in reporting this as the phone was unanswered by reception for some time. Once answered the maintainance man responded very quicky and effectively, and our hot water was soon back on tap.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Hotel - Niggly issues - Stayed overnight here after going to the LG Arena for a Concert. Very nice hotel, Great Breakfast. Just a couple of niggling issues. Firstly room wasn't ready at 14:00 when we arrived, although it only took 20 minutes. Had a drink in the bar whilst we were waiting. Asked for a Large Dry white wine and was charged £6.60 a glass, even though cheaper alternatives where available. I do expect to pay more at a hotel but to give you a glass of the dearest wine on the menu without giving me a choice was a bit of a liberty. My other issue was the distance to the LG arena. Stayed here with the intention of walking to the NEC but realised when we got there you need to take taxi's as its probably a 20-30 minute walk all the way round the outside of the NEC site to get to the Arena. Apart from those little issues we would stay there again. Oh nearly forgot, the Little Owl Pub down the road, where the hotel staff suggested eating as the restaurant wasn't open, Was not very good at all. Won't go there again/
- SKB (6/5): good location - overall enjoyed in staying reasonably comfortable hotel near Birmingham NEC with easy access by car but very disappointed with restaurant service.
- CC (6/5): Comfortable hotel but a bit far from the LG Arena - I stayed here one night in May as I was going to a concert at the LG Arena. Whilst the hotel is fairly close to some of the NEC halls is a bit of a trek to the LG Arena. The hotel staff said it was a 20 min walk but it took me over half an hour and I walk at a fair pace. There are various other hotels that are nearer that I would choose in future.
Having said that the room was comfortable and quiet and I had a good night's sleep. I didn't try breakfast as I had to leave early. Not a bad hotel, just wasn't a convenient location for me.
- Nikki (8/5): Premier Inn, NEC, Birmingham - Clean, spacious room; friendly staff but not enough of them at busy periods; no room service; food of poor quality - mass produced, microwaved; some noise from other guests in corridor late at night despite hotel signs asking for quiet
- Verified traveler (10/5): lovely stay highly recommend - Couldnt fault it, clean, comfy and just what we wanted and good food too :-)
- Gavin (6/5): Good location for NEC - Premier Inn is becoming like the Ryan Air of hotels by charging for parking, internet and what next? Tea?
Location is excellent. My parking was free but this was not well received because each day I had warning notices to cancel.
Hotel duvets are generally too hot. It would be good if a sheet was available.
- Verified traveler (10/5): NEC - Ideal location next to the NEC.Literally next door. Ideal place to stay if attending the NEC.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great over night stay - Recommend and would stay again, meal service a little slow but restaurant very full and staff did there best, very polite and apologetic. Still tipped as they did there best.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice Hotel. - We had a great night in our hotel, it was very clean and comfortable.
- trish (10/5): Great inn - Would stay again any day, great huge bed, very clean and comfortable, very clean bathroom , coffee facilities in the room, couldn't ask for more.
- Steve (8/5): Easy walking distance to NEC - I chose this hotel as it was within easy walking distance to the NEC, it was a good 10 minute stroll. The staff were friendly and helpful, the receptionist was happy to make a booking in the restaurant for me, saving my time!
The room was comfortable and clean, the bed was semi firm and I had a good couple of nights undisturbed sleep so all in all, pretty good.
- Mark (8/5): Convenient location - We booked to stay here overnight as we were attending a concert at the LG Arena so this was a very convenient location. The room was very clean and comfortable, with aircon so that the temperature of the room was just as you wanted it. The bed was extremely comfortable and having a choice of firm or soft pillows is a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent there was plenty of choice and it's self-service so you can eat as much as you want. The reason I have only given a 4/5 for the overall rating is the £6 parking charge. When we booked online through Hotels.com it shows as free parking. In fact there is only 2 hours free parking for people attending meetings, not for guests staying at the hotel. This should be made a lot clearer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient, close to Birmingham airport - Very busy, and large hotel, but provided all the facilities we needed (since we weren't able to make the journey from mid Wales for an early morning flight)
- Verified traveler (8/5): good access for NEC show - hotel was great only downside was the restaurant was disappointing. food wait 2 hrs then arrived cold.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to NEC - stayed there for visit to gadget show. Lousy nights sleep, most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. One of the kids beds seemed to have a plastic cover on it (he is 13 years old ) so rustled all night.
Restaurant was fine although long wait for food. Good breakfast served until 10.30
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very noisey - Not sure what was going on on room above me but it was so noisy I did not sleep all nite. Shame the place is perfect for the show we went too and food was good
- Jenni (10/5): Good practical hotel - Very pleasant staff, comfortable clean quiet room. Dinner menu somewhat limited in healthy options. Lovely breakfast.
- Anon (6/5): Spoiled by restaurant situation - Stayed here twice over the period of a fortnight. First room bed was uncomfortable, second was much better. Second time Jodi on reception was fairly rude. Both times the restaurant situation was comical - it just isn't big enough for the hotel. You HAVE to book a table, otherwise you'll be waiting several hours. After a day working at the NEC, not what you need. Top tip is to book your table at reception as you leave in the morning.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to the NEC as required. - The hotel was slightly noisier than we had expected and we were woken up twice during the night by other guests. In the morning there were no staff available either to complain to or to facilitate checking out/returning the room key.
These 2 points were disappointing.
- Bertie (8/5): Perfect place to stay for NEC concert - Stayed with friend as going to a concert in the NEC. Was a 10-15 min walk and easy to find. Parking waa reasonably priced for shorter stays. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. We booked a double room with a request for twin beds, when we opened the door we had been given a family room! Bonus! Room was clean, inviting and had all we needed. Beds very comfy. Breakfast was yummy. And checkout very easy. All in all a lovely stay :-)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Primer inn nec - Lovely helpful staff . clean comfortable room . close enough to walk to NEC . one down side postcode is wrong so satnav take you down the wrong road .
- wean (6/5): Close to NEC - The premier inn was good, up to the standards as other premier inns! Was right near the NEC but that was it nothing else near! Have to pay to park and for us was a considerable amount of money and didn't include breakfast or any extras at all! I would stay there again at a push as was clean but that was it!!
- anon (10/5): Clean, efficient - would stay again - Booked fairly last minute for Crufts visit - prices very high as hotel nearly full. Expected a noisy time being saturday night but had a really good nights sleep ahead of what was going to be a busy day.
Would stay again, hotel very clean and comfortable, and very quiet considering. No planes heard even though airport very very close. Breakfast excellent.
We did have noisy very early morning packers in the room above, so the only thing i would change would be to ask for a room on top floor.
Expedia should sort out their paperwork though, it says free parking and its not - its £6 a day which you pay at a machine at hotel entrance, it is free for first 2 hours only.
- Kerry (10/5): Great for visiting the NEC - Excellent hotel, accommodation very clean, staff friendly and helpful.
- adele (10/5): Premier inn nec birmingham - A very nice hotel, the room was lovely and clean bed was extremely comfortable,I had the best nights sleep in ages
- Pearl (10/5): good value for money - Very pleased with our first visit to a Premier Inn. Visiting NEC so perfectly placed for that. Hotel comfortable and clean, and staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast good, dinner fine but could have been better. Over all a good experience and we'd definitely start at a Premier Inn again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): short overnight stay - Have stayed at this hotel overnight for the past four years whilst attending a conference at the NEC, would recommend it.
one minus point, car parking is expensive, not stayed in any other hotel whereby you have to pay for parking.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent hotel for NEC - We have used this hotel many times for the NEC as once we park the car we can walk to all the halls. However this time the reception staff were not very professional and very rude. We arrived 30 minutes before we could book in so were advised to take a seat and the receptionist would advise us when our rooms were ready. However she promptly went home at 2.00pm without providing a hand over to her colleagues and left us sitting. When we approached the reception desk (now well after 2.00pm) and explained the problem one of the other receptionists was just interested in protecting her colleague rather than providing good customer service. Although another receptionist did finally apologise it left a bad taste in our mouths. I know this is a budget hotel but what ever happened to good customer service.
- chris (6/5): Close to nec/lg arena - We picked premier inn as it was close to lg arena as were going to a concert there. Nothing else around so I wouldnt pick it for anything else. Comfy enough for 1 night and breakfast was well worth the money
- Frequent traveller (6/5): Difficult to locate even with Sat nav - Difficultly locating hotel, tried to ring for directions, no one answered, we rng twice and were then disconnected. Very poor service.
- Karen (8/5): Hotel close to event - The check in was rather confusing, dont know if the girl was new but didnt appear to fully know what she was doing.
- Dee (8/5): Excellent Value - My husband and I spent two nights at the hotel, and never having stayed at a Premier Inn before were pleasantly surprised. A lovely big room and clean bathroom. It seemed strange having no telephone in the room, as I had to go downstairs to cancel a dinner reservation that I had made previously, but it wasn't really a problem..
- Cheer mum (6/5): Useful information - Upon arrival reception staff x4 stood chatting saw myself and 2 children arrive ....carried on chatting whilst we stood there waiting . After a long journey this is not the reception you want ! Then took down our details and the car reg as parking had already been paid for within the booking . Got the details of this wrong a few times as not listening to what I was saying . Room and location not bad but not the best premier inn could do with a bathroom upgrade . At breakfast came down went to get a table to be told we had to pay first which we were not aware of . I have stayed at numerous premier inn's and we have always either been asked at check in if we wanted to book breakfast or we have paid on check out. I was advised by staff that policy has changed since January and I would need to go back up to my room to get payment before we could go through . I asked if I could pay on checking out but was told no. I think if policy has changed it would be good if reception staff could either ask on check in as a matter of routine .......maybe this should have been asked but staff clearly couldn't be bothered that night or a note could be put on the website so that people are aware of the change in procedure. Once we actually got into breakfast the standard was very good .
- Bernard (4/5): Very handy for the NEC, but eat early. - We stayed at this hotel as we were visiting a show at the NEC. Parking is plentiful and it's actually only about a 10 minutes walk from the NEC itself (15 mins to the main entrance).
Be careful using just the postcode in your Satnav, as it tries to take you through the internal NEC car parks!
Eating in the restaurant in the evening proved to be a bit of a problem as they don't appear to be able to cope with a lot of people in one go. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about.
- ALAN (8/5): - VERY CONVENIENT FOR THE NEC
- Coopers (8/5): Great value ! - Stayed overnight with family for a singing competition. Family room good in a quiet area, beds weee rwslly comfy, free parking a bonus, close to nec which is what we wanted. Breakfast was extra but good choice and kids under 12 aye free. Would recommend for a stay over. Will stay again.
- inhouses (10/5): Good All Rounder - I stayed last week (sun-wed) in room 230, it was clean but was let down in the bathroom where the remains of the last guests hair was in the bath, which I made a point in not moving to see if the maid would clean it the next day, but they never!! One of the two bedside lamps did not work which was disappointing and for something so easy to fix you'd think they'd would. Restaurant food was lovely, ate there every night and never had a bad meal, breakfast was also nice but not really work £8.25 every day but they never are!!
- bubbles5 (10/5): Really good Staff & Service - Stayed at the hotel before a concert at the LG arena, really convenient location and the staff are brilliant, very helpful and attentive. The restaurant was also very good and a good choice of food. Room was a great size and very clean and comfortable, would definitely stay again
- Laura (10/5): Fantastic hotel. - We stayed in the Premier Inn for an event at the LG Arena. The hotel itself was brilliant, as was the restaurant. The location however is not quite as ideal as we thought. We got a taxi to the arena from the front of the hotel, which despite being a 5 minute drive away cost almost £10. We were also led to believe there was a simple way to walk back from the arena after the concert, but we could not find it and spent almost 30 minutes walking back in the dark and the rain along the grassy embankment next to the busy road. If you are staying here in order to see something at the LG/NEC I would recommend you book a taxi for the way back, it's not quite as easy as it seems! Other than that I would definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (8/5): A nice hotel - This is a nice hotel the room was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was flying out of Birmingham airport for the states the next day and I didn't have a car. The only draw back with this place was the fact that there was no shuttle bus between it and the airport it is possible to walk to it if your luggage isn't heavy but I had to take a taxi as my luggage was heavy which cost 7 pounds. I never ate in the bar/resturant but by the looks of it, it looked good. The bed was comfortable but the room didn't have a phone which didn't bother me as I didn't need a phone in my room. I did need to phone my family in the UK but as I live in the states my mobile/cell phone doesn't work in the UK it would have been helpful if there was a pay phone either in the hotel lobby or nearby I had to walk 1 mile to the airport to phone my parents when I got to the hotel to let them know I got there and it was ok.
- j baig (8/5): v Good - Reasonable prices nice rooms good service
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Stay - used hotel as we were attending a event at the NEC. Service was efficient on arrival and departure, hotel was clean and tidy and certainly value for the money we paid.
- B & P (10/5): Great value - Ideal stay for short breaks e.g stop-over on way to/from airport, or visiting family/friends living in the area. Staff friendly & courteous, great breakfast with good quality ingredients. Overall good value for money.
- Barbara (8/5): Good value as always due to being a Premier Inn - Great welcome, Very satisfied with room, Food quality good but was left waiting to order evening meal and drinks and had to ask to be served. Outstanding service at breakfast. Great location for LG Arena, definately consider returning!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fit for purpose! - Wonderful and welcoming hotel which was ideally suited to our needs as a family! Restaurant served beautiful food with a friendly atmosphere and I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing!!!! - We arrived and greeted by friendly staff. Our room was extremely clean and comfy. The hotel arranged a taxi for us and the boys behind the bar were extremely friendly and happy. Especially Dean behind the bar. Fantastic hotel with fantastic staff. Will defiantly stay again.
- Jo (4/5): Ideal location for nec but comfort questionable - Hotel v clean, restaurant food good though service appalling. Good location for nec events. Main bed v comfortable, though we had a family room with an extra single bed. The single bed appeared to be missing the mattress and was like sleeping on a board. This bed is supposed to be suitable for a child under 16. My 15 yr old ended up sharing the main bed with the 2 of us. Far from ideal.
- PINNELLI (6/5): - Comfy but very spartan, no nice shampoos/hand cream etc.. Thought rate of over £115 per night was very expensive for facilities offered as we've stayed in nice hotels in London for less cost. No breakfast included. No phone in room:- calling reception costs 10p per minute. Premier inn is Ok if you getting it for the much advertised £39 per night, but at these rates it was very poor value for money.
- Learmonth (10/5): Excellent staff - We stayed for the good food show . Excellent reception. Good quality food . When my iPhone died the manager that morning offered to help which was great . The staff were exceptional and could not do enough for us. Great value for money breakfast . Great value and service all round. Well done
- cpr (6/5): nec - sat nav took us to holiday inn ,hotel not easy to find and bed was way too hard but nice hotel
- Adrain Roberts (10/5): - very good overall comfy bed good food very good staff
- Sue (10/5): Comfortable stay - Enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. Handily placed for NEC,although bit unsure about climbing over a broken fence to get there! Staff friendly and helpful, receptionist printed off several maps to help us locate places. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable room. Will try the restaurant next time, food looked good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very close to NEC - It was a pity connecting gate to NEC was locked - had to go round the world to get in - it was open on the way home though - would have helped so.... much if it had been open in the morning
- ally (8/5): Good value for money. - A good experience. Hotel very convenient to NEC.and airport.
Food in restaurant was excellent and portions were generous. Good meal deal which included dinner and breakfast.
Would return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely clean hotel and the food was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly.
- Lyn Miles (10/5): Comfy beds, great location. - Excellent, very near NEC, excellent food, very helpful staff.
