Guest Reviews
- 930atanurb (10/5): Good - Very nice please staff good position close to tubes station staff very nice Cristina is amazing hotel very clean and room clean
- fayeg396 (4/5): Expected better from a Premier Inn - Stayed here for 1 night so some may say it wasn’t long enough for me to write a review however 1 night was very much enough for me.
I’ll start with the positives:
- the room was spacious and clean
- bed was comfy
- nice products provided in the bathroom
- location of hotel is good (near motorways, 15 min walk from the bus/train/underground stations)
- hotel provides discounted parking
Negatives:
- pre-paid for early check in at 11am. Was told by staff that although we have PAID for this, it’s still not guaranteed the room will be ready. We had to sit in reception for an hour waiting for the room to be ready.
- there’s barely any staff around if you need them
- the staff that are working are all very miserable. I genuinely have never seen a more sad group of people working.
- The room did not have a phone to call reception with issues.
- 1 plug socket on one side of the bed but none on the other
- No information given on restaurant opening and closing times
- No bottle of water in the room
- TV has 5 main channels (advise you bring fire sticks or other devices)
- during evening meal, my nan ordered a gluten free chilli topped chips - this came 45 minutes before my meal. Apparently due to the meals being cooked separately that meant I got mine 45 mins after my nan and she has already finished hers. We also ordered 2x cokes which arrived with my meal an hr after we ordered - these were completely flat and had a very strange taste (as if they had been sat out for a while)
- the one gluten free desert on the menu was unavailable at the start of dinner service which was disappointing - I feel there should be a couple to chose from at the very least.
- vending machines are extortionate - £3.00 for a bottle of water and £4.50 for some maltesers.
- ginacarlav2025 (6/5): 3 nights stay - I was only for 3 nights overall is ok, not much, friendly staff though, very helpful especially Glykeria during our stay. Reception self-check in pods gave us some hard time. Not helpful at all.
- 186400Caroline (8/5): Great location - Great location on Princes Street with a lot of shops, restaurants and cafe nearby. A short walk from the airport tram stop. We arrived early and they looked after our bags, the reception staff asked for a charity donation at this time in a very nice way. When we left our bags at the end of our stay the girl said we needed to donate to leave our bags!
The rooms were big and bright, but draughty by the windows and the heating was poor, kept going off. There was a hole in the ceiling possibly from a water leak. A lot of dust in corners. Shower over the bath but the shower door was rigid making it difficult to get in and out.
After check in went down to order and pay for breakfast. The receptionist took forever to set it up and then when we went to breakfast they didn’t have our names on the list so had to ho back to reception.
- walterdG8695UK (10/5): could not fault the service - first do not get this mixed up with the one in Rose street we have stayed in a lot of hotels both here in the UK and a board. This one is one of the best all round one the staff with out exception were all out standing from the hotel manager to the staff help full the rooms bright and clean if in fact you can find better good luck to the hotel manager thank you for the pillows the yorkshire people
- J6948PSgrahaml (8/5): Good stay but very slow check in - Hotel was ideal for solo traveller. Room was big enough and very good nights sleep. Bar and lobby area very good too for a budget chain. Only problem was length of queue and waiting time to check in. Far too long.
- antheah352 (8/5): Great stay and value for money - Stephania the receptionist was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble, thank you. The blind in my room didn't work so I could not open the window. Other than that a great stay.
- Roving13193179966 (10/5): Great Hotel .. my wife & I have stayed here several times - My wife and I have stayed here in 2023, 2024 (x2 times) 2025 and shall be returning in January 2026, which just goes to prove how much we like this hotel
It is perfect for our needs, easy to get to and the staff are all brilliant.
We opt for the slightly bigger room
- V773NRneilc (10/5): Great stay - Christie was a fantastic help 👏🏻 room was great , parking easy with electric charging and the room was very quiet. Walking distance to the tube.
- peterwW156TE (10/5): Great friendly atmosphere. - Convenient location, lots of reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance, and the Edgware tube/bus station is nearby. Staff is courteous and attentive. Special shout out to Glykeria for making my wife and I hot cocoa after a cold evening of sightseeing the Christmas lights.
- 306floram (10/5): Christina:shes lovley kind and helpful. I will go again and again - Christina:shes lovley kind and helpful shes also really easy to communcate we have been here for almost one month and they still give us the same good service also lucas and rafey are also the same like christina very helpful i give them 10 stars
- samaM9224OQ (10/5): Experience - Great stay amazing staff, amazing and easy check in, clean rooms, nice location easy access to trains
Christina is amazing
- Maps172930 (10/5): • “Top-Notch Reception Service - “My stay at the hotel was wonderful! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I especially want to thank Cristina at the reception, who greeted us with a warm smile every day and helped us with directions and restaurant recommendations. Her professionalism made our stay even better. Highly recommended
- jamescG6947CW (10/5): Excellent evening sampling Roman food and wine - Very good staff and very helpful i would definitely recommend staying here, we stayed here to watch the boxing easy public transport to get around and to get into London City centre
- wendymK2239CF (8/5): Castle view - perfect - Room was amazing, exceeded expectations for a Premier Inn. Perfect location, clean and Amazon view. Highly recommend book a Premier inn plus - morning view of the castle just perfect
- Tour18493430379 (8/5): Great location with fantastic views! - This Premier Inn is perfectly situated. Great as a base to explore the city. The room was spacious and with an amazing view of Edinburgh Castle. The attached restaurant served a delicious breakfast daily - worth paying to have that included and it set us up for the day!
My only area of dissatisfaction would be the cleanliness of the bathroom which wasn’t great. Definitely an area to be improved on. A good dose of bleach and mould and mildew remover would have worked a treat!
Overall a wonderful stay - would recommend.
- nillb2025 (10/5): Exceptional Service - Had a great stay, Cristina the receptionist was very helpful. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile and made check-in effortless. Throughout my stay, she was always available to answer questions, offer local recommendations, and ensure that everything went smoothly. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after a long day. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant, but Cristina truly stood out for her professionalism and genuine kindness. Her attention to detail and caring attitude made my experience memorable. I would definitely return and highly recommend this place.
- pbs1986 (8/5): Absolutely fine and affordable for solo travelers - Absolutely fine for a solo traveler and especially considering the usual hotel room prices in Edinburgh nowadays. Cosy room which had the basic facilities. Was a pleasant surprise to see the presence of a bar, and complimentary hot drinks in the lobby area. Excellent location within 2 minutes walk of the EICC and Haymarket Station, and 10 minutes from the historic centre
- markrQ80VI (4/5): Poor wouldn’t stay again in premier plus!! - Paid £400 for premier plus, room was poor, towel rail hanging off, skirting boards in bathroom brown and poor quality, made to put a donation into great ormand street charity before they would look after our bags on last day (don’t mind giving to charity but should be my choice) staff not great, when you ask for a bottle of water which you get with premier plus your then told tap water is ok to drink! Maybe the case but you get bottled water for premier plus, next time will go to an air b&b for price or somewhere else, worst premier in we have stayed at, waiting for premier inn complaints to come back to us (still haven’t after 5 days which they said they would) Was offered to move rooms day before we left but seemed pointless!
- Compass42650973757 (10/5): Great Experience - Great Experience ,I normally stay at this hotel and the satff are Very helpful and very pleasant. Room was tidy and equipped.
- anapS4372UO (10/5): Best - Very good team very experience and very supporting. She was very kind and professional she also give me a good room.best
- V3235YLliamp (10/5): Review - Cristina was amazing! Extremely helpful and accommodating. My girlfriend was really pleased with the shower as she doesn’t have one that much!
- folai2022 (10/5): Fabulous - Christiana was extremely very helpful and kind, she made my staying more easy than I thought. I will definitely recommend the hotel to my friends and family
- GuyTangGor (10/5): Decent budget hotel, elevated by the staff - Check-in Sat 25 Oct, 2 nights, double room. I understand what I am getting with a Premier Inn - no frills, but everything works to a certain standard. My stay was elevated by your manager at Edgware, Cristina. She was so friendly and helpful. I was travelling with my 4.5 year old daughter and Cristina made us feel welcome and comfortable to be guests at your hotel, and to attend to any queries I had. It made a real difference and our stay was very pleasant because of her.
- F3023RJcarlas (10/5): Professional, friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble - Excellent staff and service. Very clean throughout the hub and rooms. Great customer service, nothing was too much trouble
- 850truthf (2/5): POOR SERVICE - Premier Inn Edgware - Premier Inn Edgware does NOT provide toilet rolls. It's terrible!
The surroundings is also dirty with cigarette butts as well as rubbish everywhere in the car park.
- stevehA6336AH (10/5): excellent base to explore the city - Really good city centre hotel. The rooms we had were amazing - looked right across to the castle and were very spacious. would definitely stay here again if we come back to Edinburgh
- budgettraveller77 (10/5): So convenient - Family of 3 - Half Term School break. - Location excellent. Room brilliant. Service from staff superb. Breakfast delicious and good value, with lovely service. View of castle a real bonus.
- kitg152 (10/5): Perfect Hub - My partner and I had a wonderful stay here over Halloween weekend! The room was cleverly compact and very comfortable. We were so impressed with the staff’s friendly and warm hospitality, they were incredibly accommodating to requests and queries and helped us to store our luggage before our train. A special mention to Marley who went the extra mile and always had a bright smile throughout the duration of our stay. What a great hub!
- petricaionuth (10/5): A pleasant, comfortable, and well-organized experience at Premier Inn Edgware I had the opportunity to stay at Premier I - A pleasant, comfortable, and well-organized experience at Premier Inn Edgware
I had the opportunity to stay at Premier Inn London Edgware for a few nights, and I can say that the experience was truly remarkable in terms of hospitality, cleanliness, and staff professionalism.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, yet very well connected to public transport, just a few minutes’ walk from Edgware Underground Station (Northern Line),making it ideal for both tourists and business travelers.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the reception staff with a genuine smile and a very friendly attitude. Check-in was quick and efficient, and the receptionist provided all the essential information about the hotel facilities and breakfast options.
One aspect that particularly impressed me was the professionalism of the team. All the staff members, from the reception to housekeeping, especially Christina, Glykeria, and Dhivni ,were kind, natural, and attentive. You can truly feel the Premier Inn culture, focused on respect for guests and the quality of service.
The Edgware area is quiet and safe, with plenty of amenities nearby (supermarkets, restaurants, cafés). The easy access to the Underground makes getting to central London very convenient (around 30–40 minutes).
Premier Inn Edgware offers an excellent balance between quality and price.
I highly recommend it for both short stays and longer visits to London.Thank you for your services and I will come back very soon
- 270yuanl (10/5): Lau - nice hotel and Cristina and Ali service very good service clean room good breakfasts qnd very nice nice people ! Nice service ! Anyway everything is limited happy to stay in premier inn hotel ! I will tell all my best friend to come to this hotel ! I will come back again ! Many thanks your hotel !
- ayeishah2025 (10/5): Roxana! - You need to employ more people like roxana - night time adviser
She was so helpful, great customer service and was just the right person to speak to after such a hectic day, exactly what you need for guests.
- joannetP8561XH (8/5): Overall good stay but needs some improvement - We have stayed in this hub a few times before.
Our stay has been a overall pleasant one but a few things could be improved on.
The air con is very intermittent
The water pressue on floor 7 is a bit weak when you have a shower
Male member of staff not sure if he is new but is less than dynamic to put it politely.
The stairwells could do with a good hoover.
- 192nafeesaa (10/5): Outstanding - Excellent in every aspect especially by the service delivered by Christina at reception- thank you for your lovely service - it’s really appreciated 👌🏼🙂
- KayeGee (8/5): A fantastic central location - A great place to stay in Edinburgh. Definitely worth paying extra for a room with a view of the castle. Although we were on a main road we weren't disturbed by the street/traffic noise. A comfortable bed and a good sized room. Staff are excellent and a warm welcome. A central location which means that everything is within walking distance.
- Fearless627984 (8/5): Fantastic hotel. - Fantastic, centrally located hotel. The staff were so welcoming and polite. The room was lovely and clean. It was very quiet too. Perfect space for the three of us for the three nights that we stayed. Breakfast was fantastic. I am gluten free and was very looked after. Plenty for me and minimal that I couldn’t have. One of the best breakfasts at hotels. I gave this 4 stars as the bed was very hard. I’ve got hip issues so the bed aggravated them. The hard bed would suit some people. Everything else was 5 stars! 🌟 Great hotel. Tram is very close too and lots of shops, restaurants and all the attractions are on the doorstep! Great hotel!
- sarahsX3295ZW (10/5): Edinburgh stay - Excellent service. Clean, helpful staff, near to all the attractions. Pretty central. Comfortable and cosy. I Would recommend to stay here.
- plsdeluno (8/5): Good standard Premier Inn - A typical standard Premier Inn, good bedroom, comfortable bed and pillows.
Good bathroom with plenty of hot water for the shower, nice towels.
Excellent location, ideal for Bar and Block steak restaurant as it's part of the hotel.
Only thing if you want a night cap the bar is the in the restaurant at restaurant prices not your average Premier price, example £7.50 for a pint of lager.
Would recommend.
- Nomad598266 (8/5): Friendly Staff and Comfortable Stay - My stay at Premier Inn was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and everything went smoothly as expected. One suggestion I’d like to offer is to consider adding a hand shower in the bathroom. Currently, only a fixed shower is available, which was slightly inconvenient. Aside from that, the entire experience was superb.
Thank you, Premier Inn team!
- charlesmY4068CZ (4/5): Not a premier experience. - Stayed here for the weekend, had to almost fight to get the room cleaned/replenished bed made etc, as they were short staffed, not sure how that was my fault, the "double bed" was 2 single beds pushed together that came apart during the night, pretty annoying,
- elenasS588LB (4/5): Dirty towels and bed sheets, poor communication among staff - When we arrived on October 12th, we found towels and sheets dirty with something red, but the reception staff quickly replaced them and were kind and helpful.
The real issue came later: on October 16th, the man at reception said a donation to the hospital was MANDATORY to leave our luggage, WHILE four days earlier the girls hadn’t asked for ANYTHING.
The donation itself isn’t the problem ofc, what’s unacceptable is the lack of clear rules and communication within the team, which leaves guests confused and disappointed.
- Annika (8/5): - Zentral gelegenes Hotel, perfekt für Städtetrip!
- annef876 (10/5): Excellent choice! - The hub is just a short walk from the train station so I got there quickly and without the need for further transport. Check in was simple and handled by a lovely, friendly man. The lobby had a friendly vibe and comfortable seating. Beverages were in constant, self-serve supply and could be drunk in the lobby or taken to the room. Information about breakfast and drinks was straightforward. Breakfast itself was good, essentially continental but with lots of choice. The whole place was spotlessly clean - I’d anticipated a small room space but it was more than adequate. I had an accessible room as that was all that was available when I booked, the bathroom room - a wet room - was enormous! Hand wash and shower cream were provided, the towels were lovely and thick. The sleeping area had a gigantic and very comfortable bed; there was a small, pull down desk with sockets and charging points and there were more sockets by the bed. There was a stylish chair which could be used at the desk or as an “easy” chair. The wall-mounted TV was facing the bed. The only thing that I was a little flustered by was the control panel for lighting, heat, etc., but that’s just me!
I wish my stay had been for more than one night!
- jxx9595 (6/5): Sort of okay but internet was below average for a hotel - There are things to like and not like at the Premier Inn. We had a large room with a view of the Castle, a premium room with a sofa and chair. Not that much more expensive than a “regular” room. A queen bed was okay.
Much of the space in the room was wasted. The desk, just barely adequate in size, could easily have been bigger. There was one bench that served as a luggage rack, but there was no place else for a second suitcase. It ended up sitting slightly precariously on the end of the desk. All the space in the middle of the room was wasted.
There were plenty of plugs on the desks and nightstands. Lots of hotels fail this plug test. But there were only two USB ports in the room (one on each side of the bed), and both were USB-A ports. No USB-C ports anywhere. No USB ports at all on the desk.
The bathroom was big, but there was only one sink. There were not enough towel racks, and the room came without adequate towels for two people. More towels were readily available by asking, however. There was not enough room on the extended sink for two toiletry kits, although there was a hanger on the door that held another one. Curiously, there were no other hooks in the bathroom.
There was a night light in the bathroom, but it was too bright. There were NO electrical outlets in the bathroom at all. Never saw a hotel room before without a bathroom outlet.
There were no facial tissues anywhere, another hotel rarity.
Weirdly, there were two modestly heavy heaters in a closet. You had to take a heater out, plug it in somewhere, and then adjust it somehow to your taste. Want heat in the bathroom? Sorry. No electrical outlets in the bathroom! Even weirder, a heater turned out to be useful when shoes got soaked on a rainy day. Go figure!
Shower was okay (no tub), but it was mildly slippery, and there are no grab bars.
There was “free” wi-fi and premium wi-fi. The free version worked okay (but very slowly at times) with occasional outages and the need to reconnect. I got codes for the premium wi-fi, but I could not enter them because the wi-fi never prompted me for the codes so I couldn’t connect that way. Overall, the Internet here was below average.
There were two extra pillows in the room, so you didn’t have to ask for more. That was good.
Street noise was mildly noticeable, but I guess that’s the price you pay for a view. There was also some internal noise from showers in other rooms.
There were several coat hooks by the door. That was a nice touch.
There were two pieces of chocolate in the room, but both were milk chocolate rather than dark. Now I’m just getting petty.
Overall, the room was decent, but nothing wonderful. The lack of first-class Internet was the most troubling issue for me.
Would I stay in another Premier Inn? Maybe, but it would not be my first (or second) choice.
- Maggie (8/5): - Friendly staff, enjoyed having the coffee / tea station. Rooms small but functional. Good location.
- 506mallikag (10/5): Hub by Premier Inn Haymarket - Great location, well connected by public transport. Very clean rooms. Small, as expected from a Hub; but had tons of storage, which was very useful. The water pressure in the shower is pretty low, which can get a bit annoying but not a show stopper by any means. Great facilities and good value for money.
- Anna (6/5): - Great location a short walk from Haymarket station and approx. 15 minutes from Edinburgh city centre. Breakfast was good, and the rooms mostly clean, but could do with some updating.
- Suzylou76 (10/5): A good experience! - You always know what you're getting with Premier Inn. Clean, comfortable, and lovely staff. The location of this hotel was really handy for our short trip to Edinburgh.
- Gwyn (10/5): - Great Haymarket spot
- Linda (10/5): - Clean, walkable to Train
- Linda (10/5): - Clean, convenient.
- juniusCornwall (10/5): Good Edinburgh base - Friendly & helpful staff at check-in and at breakfast. Room 'compact' (or 'smaller' as Hub hotels say in their advertising) but quite adequate for a short city stay where we wanted to spend most of the time not in the room. Bed firm but comfy. Shower excellent. Continental breakfast [@ £6 - we had to book the night before] was ample for an early start. Location ideal - 5 mins walk to Haymarket for station & trams - and a bus-stop (No.2 to Old Town) across the road from the hotel. Would stay again.
- dfdf2001 (10/5): Good value, modern hotel. - They must have told their designers, provide every amenity a modern hotel room should have, in half the space of even a European hotel room. They delivered. I imagine the room might feel cramped for a couple, with the bed accessible from just one side, but as I was along this past week, not a problem. You can slide out the thin surface at the foot of the bed to make a desk, but it was easier for me to take my laptop down to the common area, where there is free coffee, outlets and tables. Great location, 5 mins walk to Haymarket station and bus stops, and a pleasant walk to Princes St and Old Town. The continental breakfast is excellent and just $8 with limitless coffee, not a given in a Scottish cafe. Minor complaint: the two members of staff I asked were unable to tell me where to catch an airport bus and similarly without answer when it came to a wake-up call. Just not offered; the wake-up button on the smart TV is disabled, and no alarm clock in the room. If you are deaf like me, you cannot trust your phone alarm. They should provide an alarm clock on request to guests. But really, this is a great choice for Edinburgh, good rate, good location, modern facilities.
- jennysX1805RO (6/5): GOOD LOCATION - WIFI NOT THE BEST - We travelled here by taxi from the airport so did not have the issue of car parking as it is not available at the hotel itself. This Premier Inn is in a great location near the opposite end of Princes Street to Waverley Station. There are many bus stops - and many buses - which stop outside of the hotel to take you down to Waverley if you do not wish to walk even though it is not that far. Elderly people might notice the distance though.
Breakfast - as always at a Premier Inn - was fabulous and there was plenty of it.
We booked a Plus room on this occasion which was quite roomy, certainly big enough for two people. This "upgrade" included a better version of WiFi. It was a bit hit and miss though - when it was good, it was great, however it dropped out a number of times which was quite frustrating. The need to log in each day with a different password also was frustrating.
The bed was very comfortable with pillows to match. We were disappointed at the lack of towels - we were not given bathmat or hand towels when we first arrived and these were only provided after we had requested our room to be cleaned a couple of days after we had arrived. The "cleaning" process apparently did not include vacuuming the floor either as it was not done.
Would I recommend - probably but only because of its location
- ESTHER (10/5): - The air conditioning works the way it wants.
The personal who cleaned the room on sunday took My umbrella.
- Thomas (8/5): - Lage sehr gut
- JDR4457 (8/5): Great location, reasonable value. - Great location on Princes Street reasonably close to both Edinburgh railway stations and many attractions such as the National Gallery. Paid a couple of pounds extra for a spectacular view of tge Castle which was well worth it. Room was perfectly good and a reasonable rate (for central Edinburgh). Breakfast was OK but could have been better.
- Joseph (6/5): - Would not let us check in until EXACTLY 3pm. Not 5 minutes early…
The room was very small and could only get into bed from one side, meaning I had to climb over hubby to get out.
Tanto o check-in quanto o check- out são rápidos e práticos.
- Normand (10/5): - Room was well organized
- Alejandro (8/5): - La habitación cómoda y limpia. Cercano a la estación de bus y tranvía. Muy conveniente la ubicación. El desayuno podría mejorar ya que es muy básico. Por todo lo demás muy bien.
- Tonya (8/5): - Clean room but the carpet was in bad shape. It had stains and was ripped.
- Frank-Peter (8/5): - Room cleaning only on demand. Cleaning was only new towels, not cleaning neither room nor bathroom. Breakfast very simple with nearly everything was packed in plastic. Sustainability??
- Erica (10/5): - Was a little tricky to find when walking back at night, but may have been due, in part, to the construction. Was warm bright and helpful 24 hour desk, and wonderful stay!
- doktorkaludka (10/5): Great Experience, Would Stay Again - I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was clean and spacious, featuring extremely comfortable mattresses. Both check-in and check-out were efficient and straightforward.
- TrainerUK (4/5): Lazy and poor attitude - So, many years staying in Premier Inn and hubs in recent years. So disappointed with the Haymarket Hub, particularly housekeeping. As you have to now, we requested a room refresh, which they get away with post COVID, when we arrived back the room hadn’t been touched and the refresh consisted of a bag with towels and toilet roll left outside your room. Lazy, Lazy, Lazy.
- heatherrn2016 (6/5): Beds are terrible but clean updated hotel with friendly staff. - The rooms are updated and facility is nice and clean the main issue is the beds. The beds are so hard it actually hurt me every morning and my husband who like a very firm bed. Do something about the mattresses. Everything else was wonderful.
- Anthony (10/5): - Viewing the castle.
- janaki (10/5): - Even if this was a chain hotel, the staff made it so welcoming that it felt like a a bed and breakfast with the comforts of a modern hotel. It is the staff that made it different from other chain hotels. The hotel was comfortable and well located with a tube 4 mins away, lots of bars and restaurants and on a rainy day or after a tiring day you can even just sit at the bar in the hotel and have food there. It is open late hours when everything else closes. Lovely experience!! Our stay at Edinburgh was enhanced because of our stay here!!
- 199danjac (8/5): Good option for a relatively short term stay in Edinburgh. - Great location, easy check in/out process. Room was good, only (very minor) complaints: the lighting system was a bit complicated to figure out, and we weren’t a fan of the clear bathroom doors. Room was very clean. Breakfast was pretty good, we thought it was a tad bit expensive for what it was, but overall super convenient and there was always free coffee and tea. The best part was that we could leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out for the day while we went out exploring. Overall, good option for a stay in Edinburgh.
- Fabian (6/5): Location good, breakfast not so good - The hotel is modern but the room is small. The location is perfect. The breakfast unfortunately is not so good and only has very few to little choices.
- Angela Sophia (10/5): Great spot to stay in Edinburgh - Very clean, great (walkable) location, nice staff. The room was a little small for our bags (we had one large checked bag and one carry on), so just be mindful of that. Still, we felt comfortable in the room. Everything was clean and easy to navigate.
- Manuela (6/5): - Location ist gut aber das Hotel ist nicht das sauberste!
- nickbS3555KA (2/5): Castle view = no sleep. - Hotel is nice.
Premier Plus rooms are as expected.
If you want a room at the front with views of the castle, don’t expect a good night’s sleep. Constant traffic and footfall noise throughout the night, the windows may as well be made from clingfilm, no soundproofing whatsoever.
- woodsfam (10/5): Comfortable stay - No complaints, just myself with daughter in 20’s in a twin room. Check in was friendly and quick. Room a twin set up (one double one twin- daughter walked in the door and said oh I see which bed I get) on third floor. Spacious and clean. Great location. Didn’t include breakfast as we aren’t big breakfast eaters and would just grab a croissant nearby. Beds very comfortable and room was quiet.
- Glossybird (10/5): Amazing staff and fabulous hotel 🥰 - This hotel was perfect for us, we enjoyed being slightly out of the city and certainly saved on cost because of it. If you don’t enjoy walking the bus service in Edinburgh is excellent, there is a bus stop right outside this hotel.
We stayed here for five nights, my husband and I in one room, I booked a bigger room for us and pleased that I did. My sister had one of the standard rooms and she was perfectly happy too. We both had great views from our seventh floor rooms. I did hear someone complaining about the size of the room, I don’t understand this, if you took the time to read the information on the website it is explained that these Hub inns have smaller rooms. Our experience from arrival to leaving was absolutely perfect. We had the continental breakfast on a couple of occasions, lots of choice and perfectly adequate to start your day. They were a little short staffed on one day, but the person running that shift was on top of everything and could not do enough for you, even taking the time to have a little bit of banter and a giggle with us, “SHEILA” you know who you are 😉 😉
We would not hesitate to book here the next time we visit Edinburgh.
Just wonderful 👏👏👏👏👏
- R6850CJjanetn (10/5): Perfect stay with Premier Inn 👏 - We’ve stayed in several Premier Inns this year – Berwick, York and Edinburgh – and every single one has been fantastic. The hotels are always spotless, clean and tidy, with everything just as you’d hope. The staff have been amazing everywhere we’ve stayed – so welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Breakfast is simply outstanding. I always seem to eat more while on holiday and the choice at Premier Inn really is second to none. I usually start with cereal, then enjoy a hearty cooked breakfast, and still find room to finish with toast and jam. Les particularly loved the yoghurt and fruit to begin with, followed by his breakfast and rounding things off with a croissant. The quality and variety make it such a great way to start the day.
The only small downside was at the Edinburgh hotel, where people tended to stand smoking right outside the entrance. It didn’t look very appealing first thing in the morning, so perhaps this could be improved.
Apart from that, everything has been amazing. Premier Inn really does take the stress out of travel and makes our holidays even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back again next year for more breaks!
- David (8/5): - The manual check in did not work for me! Didn’t recognise my Hotels.com booking reg or my surname/post code
- Martine (8/5): - Well
- ScotlandKMcP (2/5): Terrible bedroom at Premier Inn Hub - Terrible room. Payed a good amount for the room for myself and wife, only to find the room was so small, the bed was only accessible from one side. Not sure it should have been sold as double occupancy, or if it was, there should have been a sub note to the booking.
- OldDrWhoFan (4/5): Tiny bed surrounded by 3 walls - The bed was tiny (more a single than double) and had walls on 3 sides so was very hard to get out of in the night if you were on the wall side. There was a narrow ledge in the wall, not really wide rough to put a glass of water on without fear of it being knocked off. There was a ticking noise that went on all night.
The photograph of the room didn’t really show how small the bed was.
The room was cramped for two people, but clean and there was a useful storage space under the the bed, the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Pierre-Luc (10/5): - Simple, room a bit small but very confortable, tech hotel!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hot in summer - Very helpful young lads at reception. Windows don't open and the air conditioning is unstable/inefficient which made for a very hot night. Staff lent us a little fan that helped. Otherwise the small room concept is fine and well executed. We would have enjoyed our short stay, were it on a cooler night.
- June (10/5): - Appreciated the ability to check in early for a reasonable fee.
- Pete (10/5): - The hotel is centrally located to pubs and restaurants. The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. As most everything in the the UK, the rooms are small, but still manageable.
- Jose mari (6/5): - Desayuno pésimo, con ausencia de comida salada. A mejorar… un solo yogurt, un poco pobre para los precios que ofrece
- Aslin (8/5): - Staff are overworked playing multiple roles but are quite efficient and patient. Kudos to them!
- Alan (8/5): - Convenient location, good value during a very busy month
- Steven (8/5): - Staff were very helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Oda tozluydu pisti
- Nicole (8/5): - The property was clean and easily fit two people. I liked the way the lights worked with the exception of the bathroom - those lights would be great to be separate. Otherwise a good stay!!
- Christopher (8/5): - Property was ok for a short stay visit.
Cleanliness in bathroom could do with looking at but overall comfortable
Staff friendly
- laura (6/5): - The shower drain didnt work. Bathroom floor wet, I was unable to shower.
- Kerri (4/5): - Room was clean, but incredibly small and no window. Main lobby, bathrooms in lobby, and even the elevators were dirty. Staff member on arrival was not friendly.
- James (10/5): - .
- Valerie (8/5): - Room was ok, there was mold in the corners of the shower, the bed wasn't very comfortable. The staff was very nice.
- Kelly (8/5): - This is a perfectly good, basic, hotel -- perfect if you just want a clean and comfortable room to sleep & shower while you explore the city. "Superior" double room is a bit cozy/cramped for 2 people; room "refresh" is by request. Its location makes it very walkable (short walk from the Haymarket train station) if you're in town to explore. Wifi is included and good.
Breakfast buffet was good, if carb-heavy; lunch/dinner extremely limited so you're better off at one of the many restaurants in the area.
Overall: it's an interesting concept (minimalist but quality hotel: bright, clean, comfortable, safe, secure) and I'd be willing to stay here or at one of their other hotels again.
