Guest Reviews
- saracR4534LG (2/5): Awful - I arrived at the hotel after a 7 hour journey due to weather to be told I was 20 minutes early for early check in. Im a social worker and went to do my visit and got back at 5.30. I couldn't book in via the machine and was turned away from reception by the lady saying she was the only person here and to try. She seemed very stressed. When I could not check in via the machine she took my details, she was very curt and rude and when I asked about dinner she said I wasn't entitled under my booking, which I am
I waited 2 hours for a slot for dinner and asked for a gluten free menu, as I hadn't brought my phone.to dinner and to view the menu you need to scan for options. When I asked for a gluten free menu, I was given 3 vegan options menus and no gluten free options. This has to be the WORST premiere inn experience I gave ever had and will not stay in one again.
- ShaneTonkinson (10/5): Great PI!!! - Excellent hotel and even better staff. We had minimal problems during our stay and when we did it was sorted out quickly and with a smile.
- N1847CHjenniferm (10/5): Great girly shopping trip - Excellent value for money, close to the shops, bars and dock.
Attention to detail for dietary needs was the best we've experienced
- TwizzleH (8/5): Perfect - I rate it 5 star !!…. Location perfect, rooms excellent , staff friendly and helpful
We couldn’t have asked for more and we will definitely be back
- KHS2 (8/5): Great Hotel, nice staff, good location, great value for money but needs to sort out parking facilities - This is a great hotel for North-west Wales, located convienently just outside the town of Porthmadog (& opposite the Ffestiniog/Welsh Highland Heritage Railways). It's a relatively modern Premier Inn and has two floors of 'Plus' rooms - always worth paying the extra fifteen quid a night for the extra perks. The only thing that lets this hotel down is the parking. Let's just say there's 150 rooms but only 50 parking spaces (my rough but honest estimate) so you don't need to be very clever to realise you'll be finding somewhere else to park other than the very small and inadequate car park at the hotel. Ok, there's a really big chargable car park about a 10 minute walk away but that's a ball ache if you've got lots of cases & it's pissing down! On the plus side however you'll get a great view if your room is at the back of the hotel (the mountains of Snowdon) or the front (the harbour, the heritage railway station and looking ovrt towards Portmerion). Staff are great and i'd mention two in particular. The amusing and friendly Rob who is front-of-house. The other is Ceinwen the breakfast cook. We stay at lots of Premier Inns, the breakfasts are usually OK (my gripe is the bacon is always undercooked and certain items can be cold). We've stayed at Porthmadog at least half a dozen times and you always get a great breakfast when she's on - yes, and her bacon is properly cooked!! If you consider staying in this area certainly contemplate staying here but bear in mind the parking issue
- M8404VSyvonneg (10/5): Fun friendly and delicious food - What a lovely time we had in our 3 days here clean tidy everyone very helpful and as for Leinwen the cook simply delicious thank you so much for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable
- Sunshine55645884466 (10/5): Honeymoon !! - We stay at lots of Premier Inns throughout the year for work, but this trip at Preston East was part of out Honeymoon (6 nights) using the hotel as a base, even though the hotel was being refurbished it didn't affect our stay, the staff were friendly and very helpful, and Kelly went out of her way to to make sure we had a pleasant stay, Kelly even gave us a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our wedding, one of the ladies on the night shift from Moldova was also very helpful and made sure we had all we needed when checking in, our room was up to the normal Premier Inn standard. Thanks to all.
- chrisyQ815QS (8/5): Good - Jane, Elena & Kelly couldn’t do enough for me. Disappointed there was no dining facilities. Comfortable spacious rooms. But overall good stay
- Y6459YKrachelp (6/5): Great hotel , terrible parking - A great hotel , sadly very much let down by its lack of parking availability . Although the car park is within the hotel grounds it is available for anyone to use . Attending a weekend event at Port Meirion , we returned each evening to find no where to park . Had to then drive up into Porthmadog to find somewhere………coupled with the torrential rain every evening , it was not a great experience at 11pm at night ……..returning to hotel in soaking wet clothing with very few places in the room to put/ hang wet clothing .
- Cobblestones2018 (10/5): Perfect two night break with family. - We were very impressed by this hotel.
Firstly, it's position is perfect for exploring the historic city of Portsmouth.
Car parking was easy in nearby secure car parks.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful and efficient.
The restaurant served a tasty choice of food for our dinners and breakfast. We thought that the whole experience at the hotel was not only fuss free but also great value for money.
Thank you.
- Fearless797329 (10/5): Lovely staff and hotel - Very clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was excellent.
Good location for the area at a really good price.
I will return.
- mackan2024 (10/5): Superb hotel, an enjoyable experience...... - Had a 2-night (Friday & Saturday) stay here for a Navy reunion, had a great time and this hotel is highly recommended. The only slight issue (and I'm sure that I'm not the first guest to have commented about this) is the extra charge of GBP16 for checking-in before 15.00. Arriving at 13.45, I obviously hadn't read the small print. I went to the bar and paid GBP5 for a pint instead!! Meanwhile 2 of my mates arrived so we had a chinwag while the clock ticked down to 15.00. Check-in was easy and the room was superb.......clean, fresh and a fully stocked tea-boat. We had a table for 12 in the restaurant on Saturday night, it was busy and the service from the kitchen could very easily be described as 'slow' but our drinks were regularly refreshed by our host, a very helpful and good-humoured young lady called Chard. That kept us ticking-over, and she's obviously dealt with parties of hungry ex-Royal Navy types before!! :-)
Our stay at this hotel was a very enjoyable experience and there's no doubt that I'll be returning one day soon.
- Eng-KL (6/5): Car park discount coupon is invalid - Car park discount voucher, as issued by reception does not work.
When queried , reception manager simply said that it is problem to be resolved by car park attendant- at 7pm on a Sunday night!
- christopheraN3921BH (2/5): Disgusting - Disgusting place towels bedding stained food Disgusting and to top it off fined for parking on the hotel carpark I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else
- dawnwZ1918HB (6/5): Room State - Stayed here 23rd-25th,first night entering the room was a awful smell then went to use the bathroom & the toilet was dirty, this was reported but not dealt with i cleaned it myself. My partner asked if he could pay to be upgraded but was refused.Next day in daylight you could see that room 314 had not been cleaned, lots of dust & bits on floor, breakfast was good.Maybe you should get your manager to do there job & do room checks.
- karenbU4996TP (10/5): Another great stay. - Another great stay. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff on arrival. We were quickly and efficiently checked in. Much more personalised than an automated check-in. Good sized, clean and tidy reception area. Premier Plus room was immaculate. For someone who doesn't usually eat breakfast, this one here is always very appealing. Well managed too as there's no queuing. The parking discount is a bonus. Looking forward to the next time.
- M9419STseans (10/5): Lovely Stay - Everything we needed when visiting for the football and Kelly on reception was lovely when we arrived to check in. Incredibly helpful and the box of chocolates was a lovely little touch.
- daviddS3241WI (10/5): As good as Premier inn gets - This has to be one of the best premier inns I’ve stayed in
Room spotless
Staff excellent
Breakfast excellent
We have booked to visit again and have booked the same room for next time thanks to the manager
- V6510OIlouises (10/5): Amazing stay - I had an amazing time staying at this premier inn, the restaurant was closed but the staff was amazing. I was surprised with a nice treat in my room and complimentary breakfast in the morning, would recommend staying here.
- Y1014GK (10/5): Nice stay - Stayed here for work lovely staff restaurant going through refurb but staff very accommodating and lovely treat in my room
- Ronbo66 (10/5): Perfect stay - On arrival we were welcomed and check in went well , Room was perfect for our needs (7) with perfect view of the Ffestiniog Railway, Breakfasts were what was required and evening meal was 5star , was really impressed with the chef and thanked him , location was perfect with lovely morning walks, and not far from the town & train station, and family in Morfa buchan,
Look forward to our return trip in the new year ,
Thankyou
Collings family
- melgA4366ZH (10/5): Amazing breakfast great value for money - Great room clean tidy fantastic view
Amazing Breakfast all freshly cooked
Staff very approachable great location for visiting Porthmadog
- docmarns (10/5): Good hotel, good location - I have used this hotel a couple of times, excellent location if you want Gun Wharf Quay or the Historic Dockyard.
Staff friendly and breakfast good. All as you would expect. I like the check out before 12 and that breakfast runs until 10.30am, very civilised for holidays.
- martinTricia_11 (10/5): Excellent Stay - Excellent stay, good check in, room clean and breakfast was excellent, even the sausage. I was on the first floor at the front, it was very quiet. The car park voucher was an added bonus at £10 for 24 hours. Allowed me to visit Gun Wharf Quays for shopping and the Historic Ship Yatd.
- originalracingsnake (6/5): Great check-in experience, but then.... - Checked our bags in early as we arrived before 3pm. That's really handy if you want to go and explore the historic dockyards. Parking was really nearby and takes about 2 mins to walk to the hotel from. We returned later and checked in, and made our way to the room. Typically Premier Inn, so really familiar to me. Tired, but clean, and everything you could need for an overnight.
What I didn't expect, was the stench of weed being smoked. The pong was especially bad in the lift lobby sand the stairwell. I thought it might have been coming in through the vented service doors in the basement, but it wasn't as I wandered round to see if the party was down there. Nope.
Something else to note was that the discount vouchers didn't work on the car park. No matter which order you scan your OEM ticket, and the voucher, no discount was applied. We were short of time so didn't bother locking the car and going back to the hotel to try to sort it out. Annoying.
- N3358QWpamelag (4/5): Not great at all. - The room was not cleaned properly. Pubic hairs on bath. No tumbler in the bathroom. I did ask for one but it never came. No decaf coffee in the whole hotel I was informed by receptionist . I had to buy my own. The room temperature gauge went off at 4.30am and wouldn’t stop flashing. I hung my coat over it so as to get back to sleep.
- 587gwynethd (8/5): Good Location - but please improve H&S! - This Premier Inn is conveniently situated a very short distance from Plymouth Dockyard so was an easy walk which helped me as I have mobility issues, and also close to a multistorey car park for the duration of our visit.
Standard Premier Inn quality, very friendly staff however and a well cooked filling breakfast was provided to start our day. One or two little niggles such as having to ask for a bath mat - they are not automatically used and I feel need to be provided, as a bath is a very slippery place to be with an overhead shower! I would also have appreciated a better placed handrail which would make taking a shower a slightly safer experience!
Hotel is also in easy reach of the shopping centre and harbour, with plenty of eating opportunities nearby.
- C5511FBiand (8/5): Great weekend in Snowdonia. - Great location as was the atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. I wouldn’t go out of my way to pay extra for a premier plus room, again, when having used many standard rooms, over the years, no real difference in experience. Bed was very good as usual, shower entrance a little slippery. Coffee machine didn’t function properly and choice of coffee was poor.
Staff were excellent, friendly and approachable.
However there were not enough parking spaces, especially disabled ones, for the number of guests that the hotel can accommodate. Alternative parking is some distance away, not ideal for anyone especially the elderly and less able.
- Jane52813 (8/5): Great stay - Really good locality, right in the centre of the town and really close to Portmeirion which we were visiting, roughly 10 min drive. We had a room facing the front (not booked!) with amazing views and the stream trains go right past the window. No problem for us with parking though did notice by evening the car park was pretty full. Small town so not a lot of places to eat in evening so we found the Premier Inn restaurant really useful and decent food. All staff were helpful and pleasant. Clean, spacious room with spare pillows, hairdryer, towels etc. Extra tea, coffee can be collected downstairs as they only give you a couple. WiFi not so good!
- susanwW7913WO (10/5): Great location - Great location. Stayed prior to catching our ferry to the Isle of Wight next day. Visited The Victory which was just down the road. Room was great, would have been nice to have a walk in shower instead of a bath but this didn't cause too much of the problem. Great value for money. Restaurant next door with package deals. It was raining so we took advantage of the package offered for evening meal and breakfast which was good value. Car parking is off site but it is just a few minutes down the road and you get a small discount.
- sheilafA7537NI (10/5): Excellent hotel and service - Excellent location with just a couple of minutes walk to the train station for the Ffestiniog and West Highland trains. I booked a Premier Plus room. It was really spacious, with mini fridge, iron and ironing board and walk in shower. Lovely ambient lighting, great views across the estuary and a comfortable bed! The hotel itself was one of the best I have stayed in. The staff were polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely stay here again.
- Garethfromtynygroes (10/5): Great food - Lovely hotel, clean. Has it's own bar and restaurant serving good food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Has its own car park which does get busy
- Cassiopeia22h57m (10/5): Amazing - We had an amazing stay with our family!
Elena (the night receptionist) went the extra mile to help us during our late night arrival.
The room was clean and quiet.
Ellie (the morning receptionist) helped us with everything that we need for our breakfast.
The hotel positions right on M6, which is extremely handy during a long journey and you need somewhere to sleep.
The fact that there is a building work, at the moment, didn't affect our good sleep in any shape or form.
Very happy with our choice of the hotel.
Highly recommended.
A*****
- ALFRED (6/5): No Shampoo and condition provided - Acceptable cleanliness. But I was surprised that the hotel does not provide shampoo and conditioner. Only body wash. Even a Motel 6 provides you with shampoo/conditioner.
- Ashley (6/5): - This hotel was in a great location for all we wanted to see while in Portsmouth. The coach and rail are both walkable and the Victory and other museums were closeby. The Gunwharf Quays are within walking distance too for shopping and food.
The hotel was okay for the price. Our room wasn't the cleanest and there was mold in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired but maybe would have been better if we were there for the start of it.
The staff were very friendly and overall the stay was good!
- P4332TEsamanthas (10/5): Great stay - Ideal stop over, friendly staff, great breakfast. Good room size, everything you need, for a few days break in Porthmadog
- swton (8/5): Good experience, good location. - Standard room was quiet and clean. Ami, Lauren and Legend at reception helpful and friendly. We will be returning soon.
- sarahjU4977UU (10/5): Visit to the dockyard - 1st visit to Portsmouth as we visited the dockyard so booked a night in a harbour view room.the views of the ships was fab..could do with 2 chairs so we can both sit at the window....what a great a room and a great sleep .thanku to lauren and amie....ate an eveing meal in the bar&block downstairs that was lovely meal..didn't have breakfast so cant comment..parking was a few minutes down the road ..Will definitely return ..thanku..
- pete4472 (8/5): Pleasant Stay in Porthmadog - We had a very pleasant stay at the Premier Inn in early September. The Inn was clean and the staff were helpful. We had a Premier Plus room which was spacious and had a great view over the estuary and the railway station. Parking was easy and the breakfast was good.
A great place to stay if you are visiting the railway!
- X125BAjanettec (10/5): Lovely staff - We had a lovely stay at the Docklands Premeire inn. Mostly because of the 2 young ladies on reception. Lauren and Amie were so lovely and helpful. It was nice to have a face on reception. We had been travelling since 5am that morning and arrived at 7.45 that night. Their friendliness made all the difference to our day.
- stevenfS2444TU (10/5): Excellent Premier Inn with excellent staff. - My wife and Ihave been to this PI several times before. The excellence of it's location remains. That is, handy for trip on Ffestiniog/ Welsh Highland railway, handy for town, good parking. Also, great location for Glaslyn River walk etc.
However, it scores on excellent service of it's staff, who are very polite, attentative and helpful.
The breakfast is one of the better ones I have had at a PI (not that they are usually bad).
Well done by all concerned at Porthmadog Premier Inn.
- lanky-rambler (10/5): Ideal base for visiting Portsmouth. - Friendly and helpful staff, well equipped room with great views, shops pubs ferry train and bus interchange nearby make this a convenient location for exploring the area. Dockyard car park about 5 minutes walk away.
- C6270MSfrancescaf (6/5): Give the restaurant a miss - The hotel stay was good, the room was comfortable clean and had a great view. The disappointing part of the stay was dining in the Bar+Block, the food was not as expected in a steak restaurant, the 30 days matured steak I ordered had no real flavour although it was very tender.
Also, the 25% discount offer which attracted us to dining in the restaurant was a con as the email with the discount code is not sent until 24 hours after.
- michellecP7566TU (8/5): Great but could have been better - Lovely, comfy bed
Gorgeous breakfast with friendly, helpful member of staff.
Very disappointed that rooms weren't available until 6pm and we had 7pm dinner reservations. No apology or compensation.
Excellent position for Naval dockyard
- V4362ENbradleym (10/5): 5* Jane - 5* Customer Service from Jane on the reception Desk.
Upon today’s early arrival to Preston East Premier Inn I was greeted by Jane on reception, what a star with customer service. Due to improvement works the attached beefeater was closed and as being a visitor to Preston , Jane was very helpful recommending local food and restaurant alternatives. In addition, given an early arrival Jane supported me with facilitating my early arrival (bag storage and somewhere to carry on with my work).
Great Room , ideal local facilities ( supermarket within 6 minute drive) and close to the motorway!.
- debbiesU7337WM (10/5): Great hotel with amazing staff - My husband had booked the stay as a birthday treat for me. The hotel was clean and spacious and on arrival we were immediately greeted by friendly, helpful staff. The room itself was also clean and had amazing views. I had a lovely surprise of wine, chocolate and a really thoughtful handwritten note wising me a happy birthday. My husband had only mentioned my birthday in passing when booking but the staff had organised this surprise for me!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - we slept very well due to the comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet room. Both breakfast and evening meal were delicious and of a high standard and we never felt rushed in the restaurant. All of the staff we encountered during the weekend were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We will certainly stay here again when we return to see a bit more of the area.
- melcF2876ZU (10/5): Premier Inn Dockyard, great location. - Staff here very friendly and helpful, has 2 lifts to floors, rooms good standard. Ideally situated for visiting the Dockyard, with Gunwharf Quay and Spinnaker tower not far away. Breakfast was handy next door through adjoining door.
- Andrzej (4/5): - shower had low pressure and was barely usable during our stay
- seanfK5002CK (8/5): Business Stay - I called the hotel to double check my room details and spoke to a gentleman called Rob, Rob was very helpful, polite and understanding.
Upon check-in I was greeted by a lady called Kellie who was equally helpful as her colleague Rob.
I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.
- Crystalstructures (2/5): Worst budget hotel experience I've had. - Booked in advance with breakfast and got an email less than two weeks out to say that the restaurant would be closed and there's no breakfast, but we could have complimentary croissants. The croissants we got were plastic packed with no butter or jam - dismal.
Arrived at 15:05 so my wife could get ready to go out at 16:00 or sooner - we couldn't raise anyone for, literally, half an hour. Finally got to our room with a key around 15:45, giving my wife almost no time to get ready.
USB charging socket was loose and not working.
Room far too hot overnight to sleep, but if you open the window to cool down, you can't sleep anyway because of the noise from the M6 motorway.
The only good thing was the receptionist when we left on the Sunday morning was very pleasant and helpful.
Sorry to have to say this but when we were there, we found the place to be tired, hot, poorly run and overpriced. Never again.
- Vincenzo (8/5): Peccato per il personale - Esperienza di check in pessima. Lunga attesa per avere la camera e signora alla reception estremamente scortese
- U2755TQalisons (10/5): Great experience - Fab location with friendly staff who all worked hard to keep it clean and help customers. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. This included sorting out a room when we mistakenly booked incorrectly and the hotel was clearly busy-thanks particularly to Ronnie for assisting us with that.
- 11raval (10/5): Friendly & comfortable - friendly staff, very clean building and room. Had a restful and comfortable sleep. Only thing felt a little strange there was no arm chair/s in the room, and there was a void of space where they could have sat. Breakfast is a great bargain and fresh tasting. The breakfast room was smaller than expected and unsure how it would manage when very busy. However, overall a very good stay and will certainly re consider premier inns for any future hotel needs.
- colint72 (4/5): Diabolical service - Disappointing visit.
Went with various family members. We ate in the restaurant (as Beefeater has closed).
You had to order food at the bar (nobody told us). The drinks choice was also very limited, I ordered a Lasagne, the menu stated it would be served with salad and garlic bread. Unfortunately when it arrived there was no garlic bread, but there were chips (that I didn't want). When I paid I asked for a receipt. None provided.
The overall impression was that there is an acute shortage of staff (as was demonstrated at breakfast) where it was very disorganised. We had to wait 25 minutes for hot food. This is not good enough.
The bathroom in our bedroom smelled of urine.
We've been here many times and have been impressed.
This visit was poor (at best).
- Voyage817245 (8/5): Nice hotel. Nice receptionist. Nice breakfast. - When we arrived late at night I was very pleased to be met by a lovely receptionist. She told us all we needed to know about breakfast etc. The duvet was way too heavy and tucked in so tight that it made peeling it back or throwing it off impossible for me. The room was very hot and no fan provided. Pity there wasn’t a top sheet on the bed for the summer.
- Y7657KAnatashad (2/5): Wouldn’t recommend - This premier inn was very dated only stayed due to the town centre being full, lift was broken resulting in walking up and down multiple flights of stairs with my bags, no air con in the facility and I stayed on an extremely hot day, my window was directly facing the motorway meaning I could hear loud traffic all night even with the window closed resulting in very little sleep. In addition to this the pillows are very dense and hard making them uncomfortable the mattress does not seem to match the comfort of standard premier inns I have previously visited either. There was also hair left on the sink.
- REustang21 (6/5): Lack of Investment Shows - This hotel is showing its age and even more so they lack of investment,
Rooms are noisy from the nearby road and incredibly warm. So you either melt or try to sleep with the noise of passing trucks.
Breakfast is a joke of a show, service is slow. Took 45 minutes for warm food to arrive and that was only after we chased it multiple times.
We could have eaten some of the other offering but the staff didn’t refill anything. In the time it took to cook our breakfast the staff didn’t refill the bread/pastry at all but kept coming out with yoghurts even though there was no need for any.
Every time the plates or bowls ran out a queue would form at the bar requesting some but no one on the staff thought to monitor the needs and refill before being asked.
All in all the lack of investment is beginning to show at the older premier inns. Losing the chain pub seems to have resulted in all the experienced staff leaving making the breakfast something to avoid.
I would not stay here again, there are plenty better premier inns nearby.
- 815path (10/5): Great staff, hotel is a little tired, go ahead and BOOK - but read the reviews re breakfast! - Comfortable room, very pleasant accommodating team, especially Jane, who was busy, never stopped smiling and very helpful. Premier inns are now so inconsistent that it is essential to read reviews before you book. This one was refurbished a while ago and is looking tired. But we paid £41 for a Sunday night stay with no breakfast and have no complaints
- 19nancieg (10/5): Staff particularly friendly and helpful - We shared a family room for one night. Room was good for the price, very clean and as expected from previous visits to Premier Inns. We were struck by the particularly friendly and helpful staff both at the desk and in the restaurant, who also dealt with my son's nut allergy thoroughly and professionally. Breakfasts are cooked to order making them much fresher than the usual buffet.
- B1888VQtims (2/5): Hotel was acceptable, Breakfast service was appalling. - Not what I'm used to from a Premier Inn. Usualy my go to choice.
Hotel is generaly abit worn down and tatty. USB socket by the bed but wouldn't retain the USB plug very well. Shower didn't shower very well, more like running a tap above your head. There was also an open crisp packet under the bed with crisps on the floor. Room was noisy, due to proximity from the road but we had to leave the window open because it was hot and there's no Aircon...it was still hot with the window open.
Service for Breakfast was appalling! We had to book a time, 0915. We got to Breakfast on time, had to wait 5 minuets for them to clear and rearrange tables to make a table for 4. Further short wait for them to take our order for hot food. And then a stupidly long wait for them to cook it.
Apparently they ran out of food prepared so they had to cook it all from scratch. I spent 10 minuets trying to find someone to ask how long it would take. I only saw 2 members of staff the whole time we were there and I think they were also manning the hotel reception.
Eventually we got some food, and hour and a half after our booking time along with an nsignificant Appologie. We asked for a refund and the manager said she would sort that out for us but never happened. We didn't want to waste any more time, having a 4 hour onward journey and having paid for early check in at our holiday destination, which we now wernt going to make use of.
- D7894BKcatherineb (10/5): Needs upgrading on noise reduction! - The place is looking run down and tired.
My first room was facing the noisy M6, the window doesn’t seal very well even with the secondary glass in place! After an awful night sleep on night 1, I ask if I could be moved , which the staff were really understanding and moved me to a more quiet room which was facing the carpark for my remaining 2 nights, which was lovely on the traffic side but the floor creaking from above room still made for an un relaxing stay, long gone are the days when Premier inn slogan was, if you didn’t get a good night sleep, we will refund your stay.
Staff were polite and professional at all times in the reception and the restaurant. Food was good for what it is.
- Bernhard (8/5): - Sehr zentral, gleich beim historischen Dock, Busse und Zug ums Eck
- H5284OUjosephh (6/5): Bad breakfast - Good hotel but would not recommend the breakfast to anyone
There was no continental food and waited over 1 hour for hot food! The manager was a lovely lady but very understaffed .
- CHARLES (10/5): - If you are interested in the Victory or the Mary Rose it is right across the street. Super great. Parking down the street was easy but prefer not to have to do it. But if you have to remote park, it wasn't a big deal. It was pretty easy.
- Marl987 (10/5): Great place for an overnight stay with a fantastic staff team! - Great place to break up a journey. The hotel is comfortable and Kelly and the team couldn’t be more helpful! The restaurant was packed in the evening with two large groups, and they managed to squeeze us in and despite being rushed off their feet all night, the service was fantastic and friendly all evening!
- VH_54321 (6/5): Friendly staff but breakfast very slow - The reception staff were lovely. However, room was very warm and could only open window slightly. Definitely needs air con and modernising!
Also had to wait over 35 mins (twice) for our cooked breakfasts which compared to other premier inns weren’t that great, so wouldn’t bother paying for that again.
- ruth (6/5): - We were allocated a disabled room. We booked a standard room 3 months prior, but this was all that was available. We felt uncomfortable because the room was set up for people with disabilities. It had a low bed, low sink, a seat attached in the shower, loads of safety hand holds and alarm cords everywhere in case of emergency. We felt like we were in a hospital and did not feel like we were in a nice hotel. It was very disappointing and we did not enjoy it.
- Rachel (2/5): Please refund me ! - Bad!!
I was made to pay for my booking twice, as the hotel did not have a record of my payment through hotels.com. Hotels.com have refused to refund me
