Guest Reviews
- robertsY3099JD (10/5): Great hotel - We use this hotel often when going to The Curve Theatre. We had a Premier Plus room which was very comfortable and clean. The staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. We will use again.
- louceyc (8/5): Thanks May! - We would like to thank May for her kindness and help during our stay when we came to see five in concert. She was very polite and attentive and we appreciate her hard work.
- Sherpa46906742978 (10/5): Great experience - Great locations close to train station and then everything you need is around you. Staff were excellent and helpful if any help was needed would definitely be returning. 100% recommend.
- I3527KKbeths (10/5): Great time - Perfect location for the curve theatre and anytheing else in the city centre.
shoutout to jason who dealt with us lot all evening was very patient and helpfull with our demands, couldnt fault his service.
- J5419VGamyl (10/5): My trip was really good I would recommend it to other people and I would definitely stay here again as it was worth it - Clean and friendly, great staff service and lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming and very helpful would highly recommend
- 901seang (10/5): Great greeting upon arrival - Was met with a wonderful greeting from Natalie and assisted me with everything I could’ve asked for. Well done to Natalie who couldn’t have been more helpful 👍👏
- Limedzeze (4/5): In the cold cold room - It was very cold in Leeds, and the heat in our room did not work. So we were very cold. We asked staff about it twice and they tried to "reset" it, to no avail. We were told that that is just how the building is and that was that. Brrrr!
- Liviaqua (10/5): Great experience - Excellent, great location, clean- great friendly accommodating staff - Natalie at reception was fab- would highly recommend
- traceyp53 (2/5): Very poor hotel - When we arrived we were greated by both lifts dripping water with buckets to pick up the dripping water. We were told they were safe to use but had to play dodge the water to enter as it was coming through at a speed.
The room was dated and needs an overhall. The tap on my shower would not turn off and while i reported it, it was not fixed during my stay.
The bar was porely manned and shutters were pulled down after each time you could find a member of staff to get you a drink. The fact they felt the need to do this did not make us feel this was a safe place to stay.
We were them told the kitchen was closed until further notice and that we would not get the breakfast we paid for as the kitchen had flooded.
The staff were brilliant but in my mind this hotel is not safe and should be shut until major works are completed. I recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs as its not a safe place to be
- martingY4002VA (6/5): Some Excellent Features Sadly Let Down - After staying in several of the huge, new build hotels, this older Premier Inn was a welcome change in some respects. The lobby has comfortable seating with a small bar and a breakfast room adjacent. My room was up two short flights of stairs (which I actually prefer to a lift that takes you 8 floors up before then needing a map to find the room) and the room itself was clean and quite spacious, with a very comfortable bed. And the breakfast was excellent; there was a large range of food, all of it looking very good. I had two poached eggs and a bowl of porridge, all made to order and the porridge delivered to the table. The kitchen staff were very friendly and polite and the whole experience at breakfast was probably the best I've had in a chain hotel in the UK.
However, the hotel was let down in other aspects. The halls and stairs were a little unclean and the outside looks dilapidated. The bar had a very uninspiring seIection of drinks. I arrived early and opted to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes to avoid the early check in fee, which I was happy to do but after 15 minutes there was a very loud alarm ringing at reception, which nobody attended to. Eventually, I went and stood outside until it had stopped. There was also quite a bit of clomping around from the room above late at night and in the morning, which was disturbing. Then, I went to take a bath and the handle of the shower / bath unit was broken. I went down to reception and the young chap said he'd be up in 5 minutes; 40 minutes later I was still waiting and eventually I had to leave. When I spoke to him again, he said they were understaffed and overworked.
With some improvements to sound proofing and exterior appearance (and maintenance standards), this could be an excellent place to stay. I would certainly recommend the breakfast and comfort of the bed.
- sassybird47 (2/5): Shocking and unsafe - I don’t think I had stayed in a worse hotel for a long time.
The lifts were unsafe with rainwater dripping across the lift doors for both lifts.
Halfway through the evening they closed the kitchens and informed that breakfast wouldn’t be available until further notice
And then when we got back in from our evening out, there was a sex worker in the lifts giving a man some pleasure.
It was scary and very unpleasant
- andreaaA9703VM (8/5): Leeds November 2025 - Pleasant experience only small issue was room not ready for an 11am paid for checkin.
Wa then moved to a room that was not made up
- Z2799YWsusanm (10/5): Comfortable and Convenient - Comfortable and very convenient for city centre. We've stayed several times and would stay again. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Good value.
- Sightsee46470222866 (10/5): Relaxing mini break. - Great location for both travelling by train and car. Good location, reasonably quiet for a city centre but within a short walk of shops, bars and restaurants. Lovely staff, everyone was incredibly helpful and went over and above to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.
- lottiel785 (10/5): Lovely Reception Staff - The reception staff were lovely and helpful, specifically Toni, who generously answered all of our questions and checked our bags in for us ahead of our reservation so we could explore the city.
- Q3735IBmc (10/5): Nice Stay - Lovely few days at the Premier inn Leicester, Well located by the train station and within the city centre. Staff were excellent especially Jason who seemed to go above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable.
- simonmF1411AD (4/5): A night away to watch river dance , enjoy a walk round town , a meal in a pub and have a few drinks before heading back - It is probably one of the worst premier inns in the country, room was shabby, breakfast inedible and staff rude when approached.
- bencD9080UI (10/5): Amazing! - All of the staff were amazing. Truly lovely people. Let’s not forget the chefs who make the lovely food too. Paula, who took my breakfast order made sure I was looked after. She couldn’t do enough to make sure I was ok, well fed. She is a truly amazing person. Thank you to all the staff who made my experience a 5* one.
- robinsQ8580TK (4/5): Not so Premier - Terribly let down but this one, chose to go premier as was closest for an event I was attending. Arrived at 230 so sat around waiting for check in. Room was cold (had heating on 28 over night still didn't get warm enough to take hoodie off. The breakfast was dreadful. No Yogurts and not even toast which being so cold andwould of been alot better than just bread and chewy bacon.
- Peter_Crack (6/5): Comfy beds but needs some tlc - This hotel seems to have deteriorated over the years that we have stayed there. Only 2 cups were providing in the bedroom, another city-centre Premier Inn that I stayed early in the month provided 2 cups and 2 glasses. That hotel also proved a wider range of teas and coffee in the room.
During our stay, one of the lifts was out-of-order which given that the hotel has 12 storeys was very inconvenient. The lift that was out was the one that connected to the car park.
Overall the hotel needs a bit of a renovation and some tlc.
- dawnwM4048OZ (4/5): OK but I've stayed in better premier inns - Lift was broken from carpark. I twisted my knee carrying bag from carpark.
Receptionist was surly and unfriendly .
Evening barman was very pleasant.
Disorganised staff in breakfast room.
Hotel computer system went down so no formal checkout.
Anyone who expects to park at this hotel faces 3 rounds of the one way system before finding it and that's if you are lucky . Poorly marked . No directions
- 141harlip (10/5): Thank you Natalie 5 stars - This premier inn is run very efficiently. The food is incredible, receptionists are kind and welcoming. Room was immaculate. Thank you again Natalie for the best stay!
- corrinaw693 (4/5): Desperate need of some TLC - Having read some of the recent reviews I almost cancelled our stay here. However, other local hotels had equally awful reviews and were more expensive, so stuck with here.
I booked a Premier Inn in the first place, as they're usually consistent and pretty big standard. However, this is the worst one I've stayed in. It needs a complete refurb!
In terms of cleanliness, it wasn't bad, but there was obvious dust on the headboard and on the wall lights. The sink in the bathroom also had visible gunk below the plug. The bedding was clean though and our bins had been emptied. The towels were also fresh and clean. Although there were two of us and there was only one large towel each. We were given a small one, which we put down for getting out of the shower and another smallish one, which my daughter used as a hair towel, so no hand towel available.
The bath (although we showered) was really slow to drain and the plug hole was rusty. The toilet was also incredibly hard to flush and you had to really press hard and hold the flush for it to flush.
We were only provided with one tea bag, which I didn't realise until I went to make tea in the morning! The kettle also had left over water in it.
The free WiFi was slow and worse than the 4G on my phone.
We had breakfast in the morning, which was standard fare for a help yourself buffet. The staff replenishing the food were working really hard. The person who greeted and sat us however, was not! They didn't explain it was self service or check for allergies etc (thankfully we don't have any) and really looked like they'd rather be anywhere else than there!
We parked in the train station carpark as I didn't want to risk tight spaces and there was plenty of spaces available.
The hotel is in a convenient location for the theatre (the reason for our trip). However, I didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel after the theatre- it really wasn't pleasant.
Overall, the stay was ok, not worth the price point, but on a Saturday night in the middle of a city, inflated prices are to be expected. It's not somewhere I'll be rushing back to any time soon though.
- Luvzanightawae (6/5): A bit disappointed - Stayed in a few Premier Inns and this wasn't the usual standard. Rooms very tired, beds were comfortable but room just lacked something and felt very basic. Only had 1 towel but didn't notice this until morning, there's no room telephone so can't call if you need anything. Not the best location especially if you have mobility issues. Much further from the city centre than described.
Positives, great sleep, excellent breakfast and the staff were great. Oh there's also an excellent restaurant next door (biya2)
- F5792BUelliem (2/5): Do not book - Don’t bother, they don’t clean rooms before giving you yours, the rooms stink of hospital and you won’t sleep because you can hear everyone else walking around at all times of the night
- MSUK88 (2/5): Don't bother - AVOID - paid for a premium room which wasn't cleaned properly, had the previous guests rubbing in the bin and the bathroom was grubby.
Also noisy, could hear other rooms toilet flushes all night long and the wifi is rubbish. Free is capped at 1mb which is pointless and premium is capped at 8mb (even though they say its 24mb)
- C2907RHdeans (10/5): Great experience - Great friendly staff. Especially Lainey and Lucy. Would stay here again. Room clean and tidy. Breakfast was great.
Improvement: bar could have draught
- 902leighc (8/5): Great location with discounted car park - Good location only 10 minutes walk from the City Centre. Car park was good and was only £9.00 for 24 hours whilst staying which is great value for money in Leeds.
Room was really clean and tidy and it was no problem to have some fresh milk provided to make a drink with.
Good night sleep as always and the breakfast it goes without saying ate far too much.
Would book this location again.
- T6151EFsarahs (2/5): No electric - Stay at this hotel at the weekend to go and watch the darts only to get back to the hotel to have a man knocking on the door to tell me to be quite and then next he telling me that we have been smoking in the room when we haven't I had been sick and it didn't flush all of it only to then get back in bed and they turned all the electric off in the room for no reason I couldn't charge my phone when I had set my alarm to get up as I had an appointment to get to in the morning but I was late as I couldn't charge my phone then got a letter under the door saying they have fined us £100 pound I'm absolutely disgusting paid £125.00 for the room with no electric definitely won't be staying in a premium inn
- cheryllA6312KP (6/5): Needs Updating/Refurbishment with Rude staff - We checked in for a night on Saturday 11th October. First impressions not good and the man checking us in was bit rude as his computer had logged out, seemed a burden checking us in & tbf we only needed room cards as we had check in but the machine wasn't validating room cards.
The corridor and lift are dirty and stained as was some of the room furnishing and is in desperate need of updating.
The light sensor with card in room 228, was temperamental and it took us three goes to get lights on each time we came into the room. We did however have a good nights sleep.
Breakfast the next morning, we encountered another rude member of staff, the breakfast area so small, the asian lady checking us in was fine and we sat at the breakfast bar. When a table became free, I moved to this spot only for the other lady to be serving breakfast say "she was going to sit a family of 5 there and where had I sat before?" Someone had already taken our seat we left, so she curtly said I suppose they will have to wait a bit longer then and give me a look that could sour milk.
Literally, a minute later a 2 person table came free so I moved to that only for her to sit a couple at the table of 4. There was no party of 5.
The breakfast area is to small for the size of the hotel and if you want to reserve tables for larger parties put a reserved sign on or start booking times for people to come to breakfast at a given time to avoid congestion and people waiting.
On check out no how was your stay etc.
- 75shaun75 (8/5): Great stay apart from parking - Parking is not 24hrs unless it's 12pm to 12pm. We had to move the car for the remainder of our stay. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Comfortable, quiet sleep.
- 152alunt (10/5): So worth a visit - Very easy to check in and the room we're very clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't of asked for a better stay and night sleep. The walk into town was so quick and simple.
- petercW1222UU (10/5): Great staff - I really enjoy staying at this premier inn the staff are polite well trained and helpful especially Sabrina paula and Jason food is excellent and fantastic value for money have stayed over 20 times in the last 2 years due to hospital appointment it's convenient and quiet
- EdWinchester (10/5): Staff make all the difference - Pretty standard Premiere Inn, but there were two staff members who made it a great experience, Lainey and Lucy are both lovely and Lainey in particular really made a difference to my stay by helping me move rooms and by being so personable. Would stay again based on that alone
- margaretsV6142FC (4/5): Happy customer - Absolutely lovely stay, it was so so. Clean and staff couldn't do enough for you .. we stayed 5/10 restaurant staff amazing . Reception staff so courteous and excellent customer service . Room so quiet and well kept definitely will be back again xxthank you so much for a well needed rest. X
- danielsU7944NT (10/5): Great stay, amazing staff - Great stay, clean rooms, fantastic staff especially Lucy and Lainy. Would definitely recommend when visiting Leeds.
- 413teej (6/5): Could be better - The room curtains were bad, so slept with lights entering the room, heating wasnt working and room was very cold
The room curtains were bad, so slept with lights entering the room, heating wasnt working and room was very cold
- Malteaserrr2405 (4/5): Shabby rooms and extortionate parking prices - Do not go… unless you want to be stung with £9 PARKING PER DAY. Absolutely disgraceful from the premier inn to charge so much for parking when you literally have no choice given the outskirts location of the hotel. The rooms were extremely tired and need a serious upgrade. Do not waste your money and go somewhere closer to the centre.
- leniyan (6/5): Good stay for one night - Overall experience was good. Staff are amazing and helpful. Just disappoint with the shower situation where there was no hot water.
- J2346AEjonp (8/5): Service and comfort - The ease of check in and check out was brilliant as was the cleanliness service and warmth of bath and room the location was good also and staff were welcoming and efficient
