Guest Reviews
- Resort67018653391 (10/5): Comfort and compassion in the heart of the City - I recently stayed at this hotel, and I want to give special thanks to the manager, Nicholas. He is an exceptionally kind and attentive person. We had a difficult situation while looking for a place to stay, and he helped us immediately. He arranged a lovely room for us and even offered a free breakfast because I was very upset after my previous experience at another hotel.
Nicholas made us feel welcome and cared for. Thanks to him, our stay turned out wonderful. He truly deserves recognition for his professionalism and warm attitude.
Highly recommended!
- H5204VIemmab (8/5): Excellent choice for the 02 - Booked well in advance, very reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area. We went to a show at the 02, just a hop on the DLR right outside to Canary Wharf station, it really couldn’t have been easier. We had a room on the 15th floor with a great view, comfy bed, clean and comfortable for a good night sleep. One niggle, after checking in we had someone open the door, then knock twice on the door asking if we were leaving despite saying we had only just checked in. Surely they know who’s checked out previously, I mean the room was made up already.
- Connector59824848997 (6/5): Hotter than the 7th circle of hell. - First impressions were excellent, easy to find, great transport links and smooth self check-in. We were delighted to find we'd been upgraded to a premier plus room. This was on the 26th floor, not one for those were vertigo, but the room was perfect, clean, well maintained and well appointed.
It was only when we actually wanted to sleep in there it became a problem. As it was the 26th floor the windows, sensibly, didn't open. However the Aircon had a minimum of 19 degrees in theory but it didn't work and the room just got hotter and hotter until it made sleeping almost impossible, I've been to med in August and been cooler on a night.
After eventually catching a few hours the next issue presented itself, which oddly was the plumbing. At 6am the whole room began to vibrate with a low rumble as people were clearly using their showers and the tank pump of whatever it was shaking our walls and ceiling.
We had two nights of this and left the hotel absolutely knackered and looking forward to our own bed. (Which incidentally has a premier inn mattress)
It really spoilt what was otherwise an excellent stay.
- meganpate (4/5): Poor cleanliness - worse post-stay customer service - Cleanliness was an issue - when I got back at 12am, I noticed a splashed liquid on the headboard. This was obviously too late to flag with the staff, we wouldn't want anyone else coming into our room at this time, after we've showered and got ready for bed. Contact CS the next day (as we had to rush to get a train home) and they did nothing to compensate for a dirty room, despite being aware of the timings and circumstances.
- fdt7303 (8/5): Does exactly what it says on the tin! - I haver stopped at the Premier Inn Westferry a handful of times before, great location from the DLR, a quick 10 minute stroll and you are in Canary Wharf.
The staff polite, efficient and helpful even though this is a huge PI and very busy.
Rooms are okay, and very typical of a PI standard.
PI are a budget hotel so it can attract sometimes, rude and loud fellow guests. One morning I went for breakfast only to be sat next 2 tables of trades guys, f-in and jeffin at 6.45 in the morning, covered in mucky site clothes and clearly stealing braekfast food to take for lunches, by no means the hotels fault, but maybe a stricter dress policy in communal areas? I do not want to be sitting on chairs that have been solied by buliding materials. I moved by the way.
Well done again to the PI Canary Wharf team, I would not hesitate to stop again, and next time I will choose my dining table with a bit more care!
- T1307VDpennyp (10/5): Lovely stay over the weekend - Lovely, clean rooms. Staff were very friendly and polite - nothing was too much trouble.
Bed was super comfy and extra pillows available should we have wanted them.
Right next door to the Westferry DLR which was handy.
Bars and restaurants a short walk away but you would need directions I think to find them.
- Hayley2303 (10/5): Excellent service - Very welcoming friendly staff, nothing to much trouble. Rooms were very clean, and comfortable. Staff were great with children
- J7030DUjoshuae (2/5): Bad experience - Room was missing g stuff like towels and sheets and so on.
WiFi wasn’t working and we were freezing because the heater wouldn’t work
- Y6879THlucye (10/5): Amazing Hospitality - What amazing friendly and helpful staff . Especially the charismatic Everton .
We stayed on a night that Radiohead played the O2 , so it was very busy but nothing was too much trouble . Even offered free biscuits by a lovely lady with funky glasses .
- U4314KCmelissam (10/5): 3 fabulous ladies - Due to a personal matter I have been staying here at the premier inn for a while until all is resolved. And since being here the staff have been nothing but polite , warm and friendly. A big shout out to daniella with her fab nails , violetta , and prisha !.

- CeeceeD2 (10/5): Lovely - Great staff . Special thanks to sabina. Lovely hotel close to quite a lot. Clean hotel. Asked for a room move and they didn’t hesitate to move me.
- mariannak711 (10/5): Leisure time at London with full hospitality - Excellent location next to the river and within skyscrapers which made the experience much perfect. The train station DLR just outside the hotel's door was an excellent option to travel around. The hotel was clean, and the staff there very welcome. The room waa a bit small for 4 family members however the beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was the best option for someone to start his day in London. It was so rich and had so many options that could cover everyones needs. Definetely could revisit. Highly recommended.
- peterkN2655NQ (10/5): Excellent - Had a great stay last weekend, would definitely return, excellent room, breakfast and very friendly staff.
Being next door to the DLR was very handy as well.
- debrakS7429MQ (10/5): Excellent choice for a London trip - This hotel is in an excellent location, right by Westferry dlr station, making it easy to travel in any direction. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is good too. I'd recommend
- 345clarea (10/5): Very welcoming staff - This is a great location - right at the bottom of the stairs from Westferry, which is great when checking in late at night! The guy on reception was very friendly and made a point of checking in with me at breakfast the next morning - it was a very welcoming atmosphere. Also, a great night's sleep - very quiet for the middle of London!
- JaquesMayol (8/5): Good hotel, great transport links - Hotel was clean and the staff were welcoming and helpful. We paid extra for a room with a view and the view from the 20th floor didn't disappoint (even though the windows were quite dirty on the outside) we could see Canary Wharf and all the financial powerhouse skyscrapers. The location of the hotel was directly adjacent to the DLR station, 3 stops from Bank on the Central Line and connections to everywhere in London was easy from there and the trains were very frequent. The hotel was really quiet and less than 10 minutes walk from both a Tesco Metro and a Lidl, both open until midnight. Room was clean and as you would expect from a Premier Inn, there was a small bit of damage next to the bed which I reported, not sure how or who did it it. Bathroom was more compact than usual due to it being a corner room and the shower was a little cramped near the water end with storage and the shower gel dispenser all at that end, not really an issue but a little tight and neither of us a large people. One little gripe was that the sink tap was very weak and had a air diffuser fitted and therefore took quite a time to rinse hands. All in all a nice example of a Premier Inn with nice, friendly staff which was clean and in good repair, we would stay again.
- 298angm (10/5): Relaxing and clean - The hotel is right in front of the LR station. Check-in and check out very quick. The bed was a super comfortable, nice big bathroom and the room spotless clean. The breakfast was okay. I only stayed one night but I was super comfortable. Check out is at 12. Which was very comfortable as I went to stay overnight after a concert at Troxy.
- 222kelliew (10/5): Thankyou sabina - This is the 2nd time staying here and felt we had to mention 1 member of staff who went above and beyond on this visit (all sraff were great )
Sabina thankyou you made a special birthday celebratiin for my friend just a little more special
- Voyage04697646253 (10/5): Would definitely recommend - Comfortable, clean and well situated - the staff are all lovely (especially Zia in the restaurant!) - great hotel close to Canary Wharf and right next door to the train lines - Quiet, close to amenities and the beds are super comfy!
would definitely recommend it
- kazhia2025 (10/5): Fantastic - Good location ,clean , cheap , very friendly staff on reception. I will choose again and again primer inn is the best always thank you
- Francesc (4/5): - Slow free wifi Internet connection
- Steve (10/5): - Great location.
- William (10/5): - Staff were helpful.Room was clean and quiet.air conditioning helped.
- Maria (6/5): - Nice family room, comfortable but no ventilation/fresh air.
Amazing location next to the dlr, easy to get around.
- Demarquis (6/5): - Ac wasn’t very good. Someone knocked on our door claiming to be maintenance but hotel said they didn’t have maintenance
- Ning (4/5): - The faucet will have a super loud noise when I turn on water every time .
- Sulaiman (10/5): - Nice
- steven (10/5): - Was a good calm place only thing we had issues with is ac turning off every 2 hours.
- PJ (4/5): Bad hotel. Great location. - We switched rooms almost every night. A lot of problems. From door couldn’t locked to toilet couldn’t flush. Not to mention NO A/C. We were there on 85 degree day and it was hard sleeping with a fan. Total we have slept in 3 rooms and saw 5 rooms they are all the same age. Seriously need renovation. Lobby and restaurant are tired too. The Indians receptionists are the worst. They can’t fix anything they just like to pretend they know things. At the end they couldn’t even make guests feel better by offering refreshments or discounts. Nothing. Really no experience in hospitality.
Good things are around the hotel though. We were able to cross the street to George’s British breakfast, fish and chips, and beer. Amazing price. And another star to be water front on the Thames. Don’t miss out renting electric boat in the park near by . Oh the mall there is not bad too there’s Nando, M&S near bus station. Easy to catch bus to Windsor and Royal Holloway.
- Jose A (8/5): - Calidad precio
- Martin Lopez (8/5): - The hotel is across the street from a DLR station, which makes it very convenient to access the London turisty areas. Besides, Canary Wharf is a very nice area.
- Simon (8/5): - Gute Anbindung an die Underground und Zug. Zimmerausstattung war mangelhaft. Kein Kühlschrank, keine Klobürste.
- Greidys (10/5): - Very close to the tube and train station
- Behram (8/5): - DLR station was 2 steps away. Staff was great. Place was clean.
- Carla (10/5): - The breakfast is amazing! They have an extensive allergy menu, so I was able to have a vegan AND gluten free breakfast that was big, filling and tasty!
Everyone was so nice and helpful too! Best sleep I ever had in a hotel, very quiet! I also felt really safe as a solo female traveler. Thank y’all for your hospitality!!
- Karima (10/5): - Bra, fint, välstädade rum, trevlig personal.
- Nolan (2/5): - The room was not clean and there were stains on the carpet. The AC showed that it was on but did not work well enough to cool the room and would shut off throughout the night. I mentioned the AC to the front desk, they said they would reset it but it did not make a difference. Even for a budget hotel, I do not want to be sleeping in a pool of my own sweat when having AC is advertised. I debated sleeping in the hallway as the hall was at least 10deg cooler than my room. There is also no windows to open to cool it down. This was the biggest factor in my 1 star review.
- Patrick (6/5): - Metrostation (DLR, Westferry) naast de deur was echt ideaal. Verder is het personeel vriendelijk en beleefd. Kamer was prima.
- Carsten (6/5): 2 rooms each floor does not have a real outside wi - Do not book the cheapest rooms with hotels.com if you want to have a window.
Our room had a window in a kind of Ventilation shaft. Building is 26 stories high and you can only see the other wall that is ~ 2m away from your window.
They have 2 of these room on each level…. End Nummer 16 & 17
The other rooms are nice
- Sean (4/5): - It's difficult for me to understand the high ratings here. We are not picky and were not expecting anything fancy or luxurious, just the basics. We were given a room on the second floor, and it was very noisy, with erratic low pitched humming and high pitched whining sounds coming from the infrastructure (probably pipes and vents) throughout the night. The air conditioning was weak and kept turning off. We did not sleep well. We will not be coming back.
- Barry (8/5): - Had asked to have towels changed and garbage removed, towels replaced, but garbage wasnt touched. Also had issues with the air conditioning, troubles keeping it going all night.
The security, front and bar staff were above excellent! Very friendly, very helpful. I will recommend this facility to others.
- Charlene (10/5): - Excellent hotel for the price. Will stay here again!
- Murray George (10/5): - Breakfast was delicious. Room was comfortable
- Maria (8/5): - Hotel itself is clean and quiet. We had a comfortable stay. Air conditioning turns off when no one is active. I had to manually turn on the unit when we feel hot. Surrounding area (outside hotel) looks dirty and kind of sketchy.
- David (10/5): - Close to DRL, great location on the price
- Meva (6/5): - Hotel location was nice but the room was too small. No fridge to keep cold drinks
- Adrian (10/5): New and quite big hotel next to DLR station - The hotel was better than expected. Quite new, many rooms, good breakfast, nice staff and perfect location next to a DLR station. The only disadvantage: it is not well suited for cars. No parking at all, not even a drop off space in front of the main entrance.
- Claire (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Extremely close to public transit. But area is dreary with no restaurants or cafe in immediate viscinity.
- Ruben Marc (8/5): - Next to DLR and in reach of airport, friendly staff and good breakfast with sufficient seating capacity. Room is spacious enough. Shower had a little bit too little pressure.
- Laura (10/5): - The staff were so nice, spent time chatting with the kids when we checked in. Nice hotel, good value for money, good location with a train station right outside the door
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was a bit cramped for two adults and a 10-year-old, but it was generally clean and well-maintained. However, the shower system was quite disappointing: it was extremely loud when turned on, and the water pressure was very weak. Additionally, the walls were very thin; we could clearly hear the neighboring room whenever their shower was in use, and the noise from their children playing was loud enough to make the walls shake.
- Michelle (4/5): - not clean, room WiFi sooooo slow, room is too small, breakfast is the same every single day.
- Harriet (8/5): - Very good. At first was concerned about location but was able to get to anywhere I needed to go. Neighbor a little sad
Room nice. Had to ask for room service not automatic staff very helpful and restaurant convenient because not a lot nearby places to eat
- Fred Adu (10/5): - Lovely view
- Daniel (10/5): - Hotel was great in general, however, bathrooms require proper extraction and ventilation. The bathroom steams up quickly when a bath is drawn or the shower is run
- Miguel (10/5): - A train station right across the street!
- Hugo F (2/5): - The service was very bad. The room was very small. He doesn’t have a water on his room and I never go stay on the hotel again.
- Serdar (8/5): Decent Hotel - I stayed in family room with my wife and 2 kids. There were one double bed and 2 single beds in the room. Room size is small for 3 beds. There wasn't enough space to open up a 2nd suitcase.
Bathroom size was decent. Air condition was working properly. But I would prefer if our window was openable.
The room definitely needed a mini fridge. Weather was pretty hot and we needed cold water frequently.
Breakfast was decent. We stayed for 4 days, same things were served during breakfast. A few types of cheese and some olive should be added to breakfast service.
Westferry train station is right next to the hotel, you can travel to London centre pretty easily. There are some markets around the hotel and a few good restaurants closeby. There is a shopping centre just 5 minutes walking distance away in Canary Wharf.
Overall, Premier ınn London Canary Wharf is worth the money.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Clean and great location
