Guest Reviews
- G7158RYjoes (10/5): Great food great staff really pleasant stay. - Stayed here two months ago and was not very pleased with my stay.just Stayed here for two days and what a transformation 👏 what lovely stuff and great food. Thank you so much.
- Sunshine03009247288 (4/5): Not as good as previous years we have stayed - This hotel has gone downhill since the closure of the beefeater. Our visit last year the beefeater had recently closed and seamed ok but this year seams like an extremly rushed experience for guests. Restaurant atmosphere has vanished because its so quiet and food menu limited. The food items are lots of spicy options and not many plain pub food. Some of the staff are unmotivated however others are trying to keep up the good standards. Mattress comfort are hit and miss (mine being perfect but my friends being so hard it was uncomfortable)
The rooms were clean and tidy apart from cups and spoons that were dirty. Noise levels in hotel was okay.
- michaelmE7058GG (8/5): Lovely bar staff - Area is nice and has a lot of options to eat and lidl is over the road if you want to do some grocery shopping.
Nice quiet location
Pretty chill atmosphere
Rooms were clean and tidy
Was expensive
Service from the bar staff was great in particular a lady called Cat was very welcoming and handled anY queries we had.
The amenities were fine
Overall i enjoyed my stay
- theboyracer (10/5): Great location. - Decent stay in the hotel with a great central location. Check in friendly and no issues. Allowed us to check in a bit earlier which was nice. Slightly bigger room than a normal Premier Inn. Clean and comfortable. Good nights sleep.
- juananj2014 (8/5): Family trip, in the heart of Dublin in a very good hotel - Clean hotel, modern decoration and so amazing. In the heart of Temple Bar but so quiet. Quality-price was excellent. Team members were always asking to help you and to offer you advices. Great experience, probably i will choose another Premier Inn if i trip to Ireland o UK.
- Jodie12345678 (10/5): Great stay - First time staying at this hotel, usually use another premier inn close by but we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely to have a warm welcome from Ellie and harleen who were from our regular hotel 😃 rooms were very clean and food was tasty
- Rugbymetalman (10/5): Great location and staff - Just spent 2 nights at this hotel and found it was in a great location, putting everything we were doing within walkin distance. The room was clean and very quiet.
All the staff I encountered were very professional and friendly.
It was a great place to base ourselves for our trip.
Have already got this hotel booked for another future trip
- ladyofcampfires (8/5): Good for a cheap and cheerful short stay - My husband and I stayed here for one night as a very last minute booking when visiting family and needing a room to stay nearby. We booked our room the day we checked in for a very reasonable £54. I did the online check-in via the Premier Inn app which turned out to be a waste of time as I then had to provide all the same information at the check-in desk once we'd arrived anyway.
We arrived quite last but check-in was straight forward. This Premier Inn is definitely one of the more run down ones however it's also one of the cheaper ones so its swings and roundabouts really.
The room itself was spacious and offered all the usual amenities of a Premier Inn room. The king size bed was comfortable, the room was clean and everything worked as it should. The bathroom was good water pressure and plenty of hot water. For one night, it was a perfectly comfortable stay.
There were some issues with the room, the water from the bathroom was incredibly cloudy and we ended up purchasing bottled water from the vending machine in reception which was obviously overpriced. The bathroom had some mould, paint was peeling in places and the carpet was frayed by the bathroom door too. As mentioned, this isn't the most up to date, recently renovated hotel. There were no plug sockets by the bedside either which is always a bug bear of mine.
It was easy to see why some of these issues were present after we'd have a shower in the morning. The ventilation in the bathroom is virtually non-existent. All the walls were quickly dripping water beads and the bathroom door was wet. Some of the walls in the room outside of the bathroom even managed to get damp from the moisture in the air after we'd had a shower. We were actually surprised the mould and peeling paint weren't worse after we'd seen the effects a shower had on the room.
I don't think I'd fancy more than one night here but for the price we paid we were happy enough with the room. It was mostly comfortable, cheap and cheerful. We arrived quite late at night and checked out at 8am the following morning so we didn't see much in the way of staff but those we did see were friendly enough. We grabbed breakfast from the McDonald's over the road so can't comment on the restaurant quality. Parking is free which is always a bonus.
- aerialy2020 (10/5): Top marks. - Hotel was clean and comfortable. Shower was amazing. The meal deal for a 2 coarse evening meal with drink and unlimited breakfast was fair and the food was spot on. All the staff were polite and friendly and a special thanks to kat for making me feel welcome. Would definitely recommend.
- J5530OA (6/5): Comfortable and clean room, but no hot water in bathroom - The location is fantastic, the room was nice and comfortable but unfortunately there was no hot water in the bathroom. For the price I paid, this was disappointing. It could have been checked before my arrival, but the overall experience was good.
- LucyNicholas (10/5): A group of Artist friends visiting Dublin - great Hotel - Perfect location; lovely friendly and helpful staff; great breakfast; clean room. What more can you ask for. Thank you x
- trickydickyAyiaNapa (6/5): Disappointing - Not what we expect at PI. accessible room was good, blue badge parking was good, staff were welcoming and helpful but breakfast was the worst we've ever had at PI.
- Catherine (8/5): - Great location in Temple Bar area so very walkable to city center! Even though we prepaid, we were asked to take a smaller room on arrival. We were given 1 hand towel for a three night prepaid stay and only 1 card because they were short that day. No perks like complimentary hot tea/coffee, nor anywhere to relax. Only 1 chair in the room. They can do better.
- Donna (10/5): - Great value! Nice hotel, great location
- Theresa (6/5): - Pros: my room was super quiet, comfortable mattress, the manager and a brunette working at reception in the hotel are very efficient.
Cons: the heating was controlled by the front desk on request, despite there being a thermostat in the room. Bedding was scratchy, pillows were flat. The staff in the restaurant hate their job and that was obvious. The food in the restaurant reflected that imo. Much of the staff I observed appeared to wish to be elsewhere. A worldwide problem currently, imo
- brettsT114TX (10/5): Great hotel, great location - I spent a week in Dublin and stayed at the Premier Inn, Temple Bar area (Stephen street lower). The hotel is clean and safe and the staff are friendly. The hotel is situated in a quiet area away from the tourists. The hotel has wifi, nice rooms, and there is a bar in the basement that stays open late. The next time I visit Dublin, I will stay here again.
- Mabel (10/5): - My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and it was perfect. I would go back to this hotel anytime.
It is very central. We walked all the time to downtown. Many places to eat around the property and really close to Temple Bar area.
The room was wide and clean. Th hotel was really quit so we could sleep well at night and the area was quite too.
Staff were amazing!
- Alison (10/5): - Nice hotel in the heart of everything. Easy walking to everything. Room big and clean and well appointed. Very comfy.
- Doris (6/5): - The staff were good, the place was clean but trying to get a taxi was a nightmare. We missed our train! We told the front desk at 9AM that we needed a taxi to the train. Ended up having to flag one on the street!
- Natasha Lee (10/5): - I really liked how safe I felt here. People who are not staying on the property can not just walk off of the street and get on the elevator. That was a plus for me
- NAZIK (8/5): - The internet was do slow, we have to pay to get good internet
- Kyle (10/5): - This was a great place to stay in Dublin. Very walkable to many locations. It’s a 10 minute walk to the Temple Bar central core and 10 minutes to Trinity College. Super clean and convenient. Parking right behind in the third party garage but they have a discount for the hotel guest.
- smurfy661 (8/5): Lovely hotel , location is great - Lovely hotel , in a great location , all staff we encountered were so helpful and extremely polite and pleasant , plenty of shops restaurants etc very close by. Room was spotlessly clean , would definitely stay here again .
- Nasib (8/5): - Breakfast was good
- Alice (8/5): - City Center! Easy shopping, food, concerts….
I would stay there again. Nice Hotel
- SomersetKeithers (6/5): Location for the craic - Having stayed here before, I knew what to expect. Check-in and restaurant are situated below ground, not a big fan but functional and concsiderating the location, space dictates.6/7 minute walk to Temple Bar and Grafton St, 10 mins to O'Connell St, 20 mins to Guinness Storehouse.
Typical Premier Inn room comfy bed and plenty of hot water for bath/shower. Breakfast,as usual was plentiful and good value.
Having to good down to reception, with your case,to drop off room key a bit of a pain, pity there isn't a drop box at ground level.
All in all adequate stay, the location means I will use again.
- alisonj419 (10/5): Lovely stay, comfortable rooms - The hotel is a great size, not being a big hotel made it a quiet, relaxing experience.
We was greeted with warmth and friendly staff who were helpful.
My room must have been upgraded as it was very big and had a single bed in it which I didn’t need, but grateful.
Bed was comfy and I slept well, every where clean and well kept.
- Curiosity62762437417 (10/5): Clean hotel and great location - Helpful receptionists, clean rooms and great location. Only downside was no wash clothes for washing your face and the shower. Otherwise great place to stay.
- Rajesh (6/5): Claustrophobic - Experience was not so good, AC were not working properly, not customer centric, felt like Hostel stay. Not value for money.
- maxwell232022 (10/5): Location 10/10 - Beautiful, large room close to all the activities and sights in Dublin. Convenient location and hospitable staff. Would stay here again!
- Sherri-Lynn (10/5): - Front desk staff were fabulous and helpful! Room was clean and comfortable. At night the bars in the area are a bit rowdy so just be careful at night, but it’s in the perfect area to shop and explore.
- Hailey (8/5): - Great central location. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. WiFi was incredibly slow/issues with things loading. The room was also pretty musty. Always felt like the air was damp. The room was clean though.
- Tove M. (6/5): - Flott beliggenhet, meget sentralt. Det som trekker ned her er luften inne. Dårlig luft, teppe på gulv og aircondition som ikke virket. Ingen vinduer kunne åpnes. Spiste ikke frokost.
- Luis (10/5): - All good!
Breakfas is ok!!
Alleays the same! 🙄🙄 but the most important point is tbe beds are comfortables👌👍👏👏🙏
- raylewing (10/5): Good place to stay - Comfortable very friendly staff throughout food limited but well cooked service with a smile froom Kat real credit to the company
- Pankaj (8/5): - The Air conditioner and bathroom exhaust did not work at all
- Shirin (4/5): - This a fine hotel in an excellent location. The room was pretty clean and the staff was nice but clearly overworked. The problem was with the 4 person family room. The pictures are nothing like the actual room. The hotel has basically taken a two person room and shoved a single bed and an uncomfortable cot into the room. You can barely walk in it and even our children were uncomfortable. They should not be advertising this as a family room. Despite the great location, I would never recommend this hotel to a family.
- greenfieldsbay (10/5): Cool staff who are helpful and professional, great vibe - A very central and comfortable stay in heart of dublin, july heat wave. The a/c was tepid at first but a call downstairs to helpful staff got it sorted, within 10 min a hvac fix was happening, it looked like all he did was replace a filter, against my doubts he assured me it would bow cold in no time. And he was right. Rest of stay had cool room to return to. I personally love the huge and tasty options at breakfast so worth it for me who loves a good fry, not so much the young’uns. It’s open at least till 10 am and a bit longer. Gotta love Drury street, and George’s street, all the little byways to Henry street area and grafton areas. Not noisy as room seemed to face inner court. Would stay again and loved the smiling and gracious staff,
- sarabH5367TU (2/5): No running water to shower - Do not book until you obtain information about the water supply.
The bathrooms have no water for shower and it trickles out for the bath and sink.
We had to change room when this was discovered when already trying to shower.
- southendbootboy (6/5): Avoid the water! - We've been to this Premier Inn a number of times and have always enjoyed it. However on this occasion there were a number of problems and issues.
There appears to be a bot of a problem with the water supply. Certainly the water pressure in the shower was variable, with the hot water dropping out completely on one occasion. In addition, the water tasted awful! I had a cup of tea in our room one morning and it had the most awful aftertaste.
The restaurant has some renovations going on so it was only open to residents. It was a bit woeful, with a rather sad atmosphere. Having said that the food is actually very good - chicken & ham pie and chicken makani curry were both excellent!
Overall, however, despite the bright and cheerful staff we felt that the whole place is slightly tired. I overheard two members of staff discussing the low occupancy rate, and I wonder if it's going to keep going for much longer. We've stayed there a number of times but we won't be going back, although to be honest this is due to a change in our circumstances rather than to anything wrong with the hotel.
- mikestand123 (2/5): Uncomfortable and unpleasant stay - Uncomfortable unpleasant stay.
We stayed here as a family which included young children.
There was a problem with the water system so the tap water looked closer to milk than water. We were told this was safe to drink but please see the picture and see for yourself.
The carpet was very stained and dirty to look at.
The door outside banged every time someone in the corridor walked through it so we were woken several times in evenings.
The room was not cleaned despite us telling the reception staff we wanted it freshening up.
We actually felt sorry for the staff as they mentioned due to cut backs they were doing serval jobs at once and could not cope.
Won’t be staying here again and for £160 for 2 nights I would avoid it.
- Christophe (10/5): - Personnel sympathique, chambre propre et moderne, proche des activités
- Janko (10/5): - Very good stay people súper friendly
- susantO6850SK (10/5): Friendly staff - Stayed over as had a wedding we were attending. Air conditioning was absolutely a added bonus due to the weather. Staff very friendly
- lyndacG2338KP (4/5): Bad service - Where to start!
Visited on a business trip. Reception wasnt warm or welcoming. Had difficulty with checking in. Person on reception was also person behind the bar and in the kitchen. An older lady constantly scolded her younger staff member for things she wasn't doing right. I was horrified when she mimicked a gun to her head for a wine bottle the younger member of staff picked incorrectly. It was bullying in it's nastiest form. I ordered a starter and a main and they both came together. My main dish was wrong and others in the group also had wrong orders.i could go on. Would never stay here again
- LorBrookes (8/5): Good value for money with friendly and efficient staff. - I use this Premier Inn whenever I visit my Birmingham family and have always found it to be good value for money with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly and efficient staff. My recent visit was fine except for a poor early check-in experience. I paid £15 for an early check-in from 11.00 a.m. but wasn’t allowed access to my room until 12.45 which meant that I wasn’t given much time to freshen up before meeting my family for a birthday lunch and I certainly didn’t need to have left home at 8.30 a.m. that morning.
- martindA7159BB (8/5): Business Stay - Over the last 3 weeks I have stayed in 3 different rooms.
All of them had something wrong, but not enough to ruin my stay.
Just typical Premier Inn stuff, but the staff have been great, nice, friendly and chatty. I only got 2 of the staff names Codie & Kat, but they all have been great.
- Sheron (8/5): - Really good location and the staff are so nice. The check-in girls helped me with the check-in at 12 pm because Expedia is showing a check-in time of 12 pm, which is incorrect. The hotel's check-in time is 3 pm, so I arrived around 12:30. After some conversation, she was really nice, but be cautious with that - don't trust the check-in showing at Expedia. So extra points to the hotel for this situation and -5 for expedia.
- Lucas (10/5): - Nice stay for a couple of days for a family of four. Nice location, friendly staff, clean room.
- A3079NSlucasc (6/5): Short staffed however comfy clean rooms - Very poorly ran hotel.
First arrived there was a very strong smell of weed in the hallways travelling into the rooms. Granted, the lady did assure us it was from guests kicked out the night prior. She sprayed the halls and rooms and the smell was nearly gone afterwards.
The rooms were very well cleaned, spotless even. Very comfy beds and great air cons.
The major reason for such a poor review is the fact the shower pressure nob had broke: I went to reception, waited over 20 mins in total, rang the bell and even called reception, no answer. I had to go into the bar area just to get the attention of someone. The lady said she’d send someone up to sort it…40 mins later and now 20 mins to checkout, nothing.
Now as much as the shower DID work, the nob was loose and I didn’t want to provoke it and make it worse. As much as it wasn’t damaged, something wasn’t right and for that reason I went and reported it. I did speak to one of the cleaners, the lady came and inspected the shower and said it was fine but obviously needed tightening or fixing to some degree, but assured me it was okay for use and it wasn’t our doing.
Staff are fantastic here and definitely save it from being a lot worse than it could’ve been.
- Road46604803138 (10/5): A friendly hotel with exceptional service - A very friendly hotel with superb attention from the staff. Food was excellent and Codie’s service and attention was exceptional. Definitely to be recommended!
- Cliff (10/5): - I've been pleasantly suprised with Premier Inn since arriving in the UK. They are a good option for budget-conscious families, that still wants a good, clean, spacious room that is well appointed. Will definitely stay again in a Premier Inn.
- Chelsea (10/5): - Fantastic location and great breakfast! Would stay again
- S9575UTpaulo (6/5): Rude Receptionist - I stay in Premier Inn across the UK due to work and it can be 2 or 3 hotels per week and I rate service very highly generally in these hotels for the money.
But this one today I must have got someone on a bad day as from checking in the woman was rude, to 5 mins later looking for a drink with no one to be seen, the same. Lady sees me walking to the bar and rather than ask me would I like anything I was blanked & since its nice and sunny 27c out there service with a smile would have been great but I eventually asked for a drink, to be then told doesn't open till 6 well that's fine but no need to be rude about it not my fault your different to most of your other hotel that during this weather would be more than happy to service drinks tk make extra money but clearly not this one
- david (6/5): - Location is amazing, the hotel was clean as expected. However this “Family” was not as expected. Super small for. Family of 4. This would be perfect for 2 people
- A1817MXstevenp (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic place and amazing staff, Michelle was exceptionally polite, helpful and professional, I'll be revisiting for sure!
- Kevin (10/5): - Great property, excellent location in the heart of Dublin. Large room and easy breakfast option.
